The Red Mountain Tower was built in the 18th century of the Qing Dynasty and is one of the landmark buildings in Urumqi. It was originally built for the town to live in floods, also known as the town dragon tower. It is a pavilion-style solid brick tower, a total of nine floors, the plane is six corners, the whole tower is10.5 meters high, the tower structure is rigorous, beautiful, and the construction is quite strong. After experiencing snowstorms and earthquakes, the Red Mountain Tower is still intact, standing on the Red Mountain, and has become one of the famous old eight scenes in Urumqi.

There are railings around the Red Mountain Tower, and the tower can't be close, but there are still many tourists waiting for the sunset scenery there. Urumqi's sunset time in early July is around nine o'clock. Near the Red Tower, there is a white marble statue of Lin Zexu, and Hongshan Park is the anti-drug education base in Urumqi.
