The French language guide was very nice and has a great implication and a great story.

This is the largest synagogue in Europe and you may also hear it referred to as The Great Synagogue. It is a fascinating building with a rich history, and is a nice memorial to the Jewish people who were persecuted during World War Two. The interior is even more impressive than the outside so I definitely recommend going in. The Hungarian Jewish Museum is also in the same building and is worth visiting too, it's best to pay for a guided tour if you want to learn some interesting facts.

Lots of history in this building and area. They have a walking tour available that covers the Jewish area and the history of the Jewish Ghetto. A different tour covers inside the Synagogue. Well worth it to do both tours - about an hour each with very informative guides.

The world's second largest synagogue is this located in the Jewish neighborhood of Budapest. In a predominantly moribund style, it was built in 1859 and today it is an impressive building both inside and outside. A cemetery is located next to it, where more than 2000 Jews living in the ghetto are buried and not sent to the concentration camps. The entry is payable (2850 florins), but it certainly deserves the value.
