Nanchan Temple is a Tang Dynasty temple, is the oldest existing temple in China, the original building of the Tang Dynasty. The temple was rebuilt in the ten Tang Dezong period of three years (782 AD), and has a history of more than 1200 years. Nanchan Temple is located on the river bank on the dirt cliff on the side of the small Milky Way near Lijia Village, Yangbai Township, Wutai County. The temple sits north facing south, and there is a mountain beam on the face and back. The canal water is surrounded by the temple, lush trees, red walls and green trees, and the streams and green mountains are extremely quiet. Nanchan Temple has been in such a beautiful environment for more than 1200 years. The temple is not large, covering an area of about 3,000 square meters, 60 meters in length from north to south, 51 meters in width from east to west, divided into two courtyards, there are six temples, namely the Great Buddha Hall, the East and West Hall and the South Gate Hall.
