Beiwudang Mountain, also known as Zhenwu Mountain, a national AAAA-level scenic spot, was approved by the State Council as one of the 6 national scenic spots in Shanxi Province in 1994. Beiwudang Mountain is the birthplace of Taoism, anciently known as the Dragon King Temple, the scenic area is 88 square kilometers, and the scenic area has been developed about 20 square kilometers. The main peak incense stove peak is 1986 meters above sea level, 668 meters higher than the South Wudang Mountain in Hubei. The shape of the incense stove peak is strange, the peak stands alone, like a knife, there are thousands of walls, thousands of feet cliff, Sheshen cliff, eagle mouth cliff, etc., smooth as washing, the area of more than 100,000 square meters, after thousands of years of wind and rain erosion, nature's ghosts and axes have created the famous mountain stone landscape of Beiwudang Mountain, such as Tiangong Qingde, Giant python probe, fairy fish out of the gorge, stone turtle laying eggs, fairy dog stone, side pig stone, flying stone, turtle snake fighting wisdom, Kowloon out of the hole, stone pig suffering, ancient apes looking at the sun, etc. Beiwudang Mountain is known as the "first mountain in the three Jin Dynasty", which not only has the natural landscape of "xiong, Qi, Risk and Show", but also has a long history and culture of Taoism. According to archaeological data, Beiwudangshan Taoism (founded in Xiayi, flourishing in Tang) has a history of 4500 years, which is at least 3200 years earlier than the history of Wudang Mountain in Hubei South (founded in Tang Zhenguan, flourishing in Ming).
