The Athens College, the University of Athens and the National Library, which sit side by side on the university street, are called the "Neoclassical trilogy". In the middle is the University of Athens. The University of Athens is the oldest and most influential university in Greece, not only the first university in the newly established Greek state at the time, but also the first university in the whole Balkans and the central Mediterranean region. We only visited the exterior due to limited time.

The guard said that they were not open to visitors and that although they were called universities, there were no students, only administrators and researchers. It's disappointing, but it's magnificent. On the way to the National Museum, the murals under the colonnade are especially beautiful, and the guards are polite, so it's worth visiting.
