4/5ExcellentOriginal TextVisit Santa Maria Grottoes. We stayed at Banyan Tree and it took 45 minutes by car to get there so it was worth a short trip. A century ago, a Dutch missionary came here to build this church, which was amazing. The chapel is open - even if we visit on Friday. Fifteen outdoor crucifixes are like highlights - for those who don't know - the crucifix depicts Jesus from the beginning of his censure to the end of his life, to his death to his resurrection. All are depicted as lifelike statues. Tricola beach is nearby - you can stop for a fresh coconut water on your way back. The most important thing - don't forget to bring mosquito repellent.
