Johnston Canyon (Johnston Canyon) is one of the four canyons of the Canadian Rockies, located on Bow Valley Park Avenue (Bow Valley Parkway), which connects Banff Town to Lake Louise. It is formed by thousands of years of river erosion, and the canyon next to the plank road flows with crystal clear panting streams. Walk along the relatively gentle trail for more than 30 minutes (about 2 kilometers), to the Lower falls, you can take pictures on the observation deck, you can also walk through the small bridge, drill into the cave to observe the waterfall at close range, the waterfall is actually small, the scenery is also general. Although the waterfall is bigger, it takes more than 5 kilometers to go back and forth. Because I don't want to be too tired and time is too late, I didn't go up. There are tourist cabins and large parking lots at the entrance of the canyon, which is very convenient for driving. No additional tickets are charged.

The canyon needs to walk for 4 hours to be able to the innermost waterfall, but if you walk for an hour or two, it is also possible. Anyway, it is the original way back. It feels that the scenery is very general and there is no special feature.

Johnston Canyon has two waterfalls. It's a good choice to go hiking. There are several hiking routes, which are not far away. It's easy and suitable to plan for an hour or two. The waterfall's volume is large and its color is changeable. It's worth visiting.

Johnston Canyon is divided into two parts: the upper Canyon and the lower canyon. Everyone walks on the narrow cliff-wall trestle, with turbulent streams and waterfalls underfoot. It feels like the Tiankeng in Wulong, Chongqing, China. But the forests here are thicker, the air is fresher, and the streams vary in color with the depth, and they are very beautiful.

In fact, after entering, there is no special feeling. Upper Falls, with a drop of 30 meters, has to walk another 1.6 kilometers up the hill. The road above is between the trestle road and the earth road, and the slope is obviously increased. It takes about 50 minutes to go back and forth.

Johnston Canyon takes the river valley landscape road, and there are some sightseeing spots along the road. Most importantly, the road has a high probability of seeing animals. Along the way we saw a squirrel brown bear. There are two main waterfalls in Johnston Canyon.
