The Lushan Scenic Area is centered around Guling Street. It's a boulevard straight out of heaven, rising nearly 1,100 meters above sea level. Guling Street has a canyon on one side and mountains on three sides. Dayue Mountain lies to the east, Dalin Mountain to the west, Guniu Ridge to the south, and Jiandao Gorge Gap to the north. It has the appearance of a half-street due to its minor east-west curvature. You can see the Yangtze River and the historic city of Jiujiang from where you are standing in the park. It is frequently the first destination for visitors to Lushan and is a great spot for leisure, amusement, and enjoyment.

I stayed one night by Ruqin Lake in Lushan and took a walk by the lake in the morning. The scenery is good on sunny days. There is more fog in the early morning, but the photos will have a more hazy beauty. The West Lake Hotel where we stayed had a great location, but the rooms were old and the breakfast was average. So we walked five minutes to the nearby Huajingtang Hotel for a buffet breakfast, which cost 35 yuan per person. It was a very good breakfast, with pheasant eggs and fragrant corn. My family was very satisfied.

The Ice Table Boulder, also called the Flying Stone, is a glacier remnant that can be seen when you walk down Dalin Road to Huajing. The poem "Peach Blossoms at Dalin Temple" by Tang Dynasty poet Bai Juyi is claimed to have been written on the flower trail. Bai Juyi visited Mount Lushan after being reduced to the position of Sima of Jiangzhou (Jiujiang). At the time, it was late spring. Bai Juyi penned a poem because he was struck by the fact that the peach blossoms here were still in full bloom while those at the base of the mountain had fallen. It was also known as the "Bai Sima Flower Path" and the Jingbai Pavilion was constructed.

This is the former residence of Bai Juyi, and the famous line "April is the season when all the flowers on earth fade away, while the peach blossoms in the mountain temple begin to bloom" was written here. The Lushan Scenic Area is home to Jinxiu Valley. From the stone steps on the left side of the sky bridge to the Fairy Cave, the valley is stunning. It is a great place to visit rivers and mountains. Please note that there are many stairs in the scenic area and there is no ropeway. Please consider your physical condition and pay attention to the cordon when visiting.

One of Lushan Mountain's most well-known picturesque locations is Xianren Cave, which is situated beneath Buddha's Hand Rock at the southern tip of Jinxiu Valley. "One Drop Spring" is a clear spring located deep within the Immortal Cave. This spring water is supposed to have been trickling continuously for about a millennium. The "Chun Yang Hall" in the middle of the cave has a stone statue of Lu Dongbin. According to legend, the Sword Immortal, one of the Eight Immortals, became immortal here by engaging in Taoist practices. A little fairy air is added whenever the clouds and mist are floating.

Meilu is a famous cultural landscape unique to Lushan Mountain. It is located in Lushan Scenic Area, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. It shows one aspect of the ever-changing modern history of China. "Meilu" was once the summer residence of Chiang Kai-shek and the "Chairman's Headquarters". It was the "beautiful house" where the then "First Lady" Soong Mei-ling lived. The historical trajectory of Meilu's evolution is closely linked to the vicissitudes of the century. It was once a "forbidden garden" and was wrapped in floating clouds day and night, which was fascinating and confusing. Today, "Meilu" has revealed its true face, attracting numerous tourists from home and abroad with its unique style and charm.

One of Lushan's most well-known locations for sunrise viewing is Hanpokou. With a panoramic perspective, ascend to the Hanpo Pavilion and enjoy the scenery. Particularly amazing are the sunrise and the sea of clouds. The "Wangpo Pavilion" is a square pavilion atop Hanpo Ridge that is a well-liked spot to see the sunrise. In the dawn light, ascend to Wangpo Pavilion and gaze at the drab sky. Eventually, the sun rose gently from the lake, turning the green water, blue sky, far-off mountains, and neighboring ridges red. After we arrived at Hanpokou at 4:30 in the afternoon, we did not continue to Wulao Peak and Sandiequan, but chose to return along the same route. Afterwards, we took a bus to Xiaotianchi and went down the mountain from the north gate. This was a small regret in this trip. Tips: ⚠️If you want to see Lushan Waterfall, you can go to Xiufeng Scenic Area. However, if you want to witness the spectacular sight of "the Milky Way falling from the sky", it depends on the season and weather conditions! ⚠️Lushan Scenic Area covers a vast area and has many scenic spots. It is strongly recommended to buy a sightseeing bus ticket, which costs 90 yuan per person and can be used multiple times within seven days. Taking a sightseeing bus to visit various attractions is convenient and saves a lot of distance, which will greatly improve your travel efficiency! ⚠️If you are staying outside the Lushan Scenic Area and are leaving the scenic area at night, please be careful. After entering, you will find out how far it is to walk from the inside to the entrance of the scenic area. We didn't reach the gate until dark that day. Finally, we took a bus to Xiaotianchi, and then queued up at Xiaotianchi to get on the bus to the north gate. ⚠️If you plan to spend a few days visiting Lushan, it is recommended to stay directly in the Lushan Scenic Area, where there are many accommodation options. ⚠️If you plan to take a sightseeing bus to Wulao Peak and Sandiequan, it is recommended to set off as early as possible, because the sightseeing bus will no longer go there around four or five in the afternoon.

Lulin Lake is located in the Lulin Basin in Donggu, Lushan District, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, so it is also called East Lake. Lulin Lake is surrounded by mountains and the water is calm. Comrade Mao Zedong swam in the lake many times. From Huanglong Temple, walk up the winding stone steps for about 20 minutes to reach Lulin Bridge. Along the way, there are dense forests and tall trees, which makes tourists feel cool during the summer.

Lulin Lake was once an ice cellar for storing ice during the Ice Age. There was originally an ice bank below the lake, and a hanging valley below it. Before the ice bank was destroyed 1700 years ago, this was a natural lake with reed forests, hence the name Lulin Lake. Today, Lulin Lake is the main drinking water lake for residents of Lushan. I have to say that Lulin Lake is as sweet and quiet as a virgin in clear weather, and the reflection on the water surface is particularly beautiful.

Sandiequan is actually a waterfall rather than a spring. The landscape changes with the seasons. You can see the waterfall tumbling down, and the water flow is usually higher in late spring and early summer. Sandiequan is a terrific time to appreciate it. You must travel down to the valley to witness Sandiequan if you wish to have a close-up look at its stunning impact. You can see the magnificent waterfall tumbling down when you stand on the rock at the foot of the valley and look up.

The governor of Jiangzhou, Li Bo, lived here in solitude during the Tang Dynasty's Zhengyuan period in order to study and rear a white deer for his own entertainment. Mr. White Deer was his name. All of Bai Lu Dong Academy's structures face south and are composed of brick and wood or stone and wood. All of the roofs have gabled roofs, which lends them a feeling of simplicity and elegance. One of China's four main academies is Bai Lu Dong Academy. During the Song Dynasty, Zhu Xi, a Neo-Confucian philosopher, restored the academy and delivered lectures there.
