Room: Fantastic
Beds were huge & comfortable - we had an upgrade to a larger room. The shower and shower toiletries were so refreshing.
Towels were lovely soft & clean.
Breakfast was the best I have had for a long time. Lived the rice, fried eggs, noodles , fruit vegetables. Even clams one morning. Great variety of drinks.
The chief and staff were very happy & helpful.
Extremely clean.
I used the laundry room which also had a tumble dryer. This was useful due to travelling on to Beijing afterwards.
The other family rooms have slides and are duplex.
Sue the swimming pool is great in the summer.
Excellent price , excellent choice for Families going to Disneyland and other local trips.
Loved being able to go along the local street to see Shanghai local food, shops and life.
Seems to be a family run business which is lovely to support.
Location is great for the local shops , food, 7/11 supermarket for snacks & drinks
Restaurants and food for locals which was delicious and a great price.
Shuttle bus excellent. Taxi ( Didi) was £3 back from Disneyland . £11 to Shanghai Greenhouse Gardens ( evening ticket £5.40) this is an amazing trip not to be missed.

SSuoFlareI've never willingly given a hotel a perfect five-star rating, but this one deserves it. The location is absolutely fantastic, right above IFC and surrounded by major shopping malls. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Disney Store, the Oriental Pearl Tower, and the Bund.
Even though it's a 10-year-old hotel, you really have to stay here to understand just how incredibly well-maintained it is. The service is practically on-demand; they respond to almost any request incredibly quickly. While they don't automatically deliver takeout to your room, you can call concierge and they'll bring it up.
The hotel breakfast offers a good variety, and everything tastes delicious. 'Variety' is relative, of course – it can't compare to places that specialize solely in breakfast, but it's very good nonetheless.
I would absolutely recommend this hotel to any family or friends who need a place to stay in Shanghai.

AAnonymous UserOur original check-in time was 3:00 PM, but we arrived around 7:30 AM. We were just planning to drop off our luggage and head out, but to our surprise, the friendly staff at the front desk immediately asked his colleague if any rooms were ready. He also asked if we had eaten breakfast and promptly arranged for us to go to the buffet. The breakfast spread was incredibly diverse. By the time we finished eating and came back, the front desk attendant had already completed our check-in. This is my first time traveling where I've been able to check in half a day early, and even get a complimentary breakfast before checking in – I was so touched! And for such a great price, with breakfast included, it's really incredible value for money, especially in a city like Shanghai.

HHunter Jackson TonyI booked the Novotel Shanghai Pudong Kangqiao for my classmates visiting Shanghai this time, and the experience absolutely exceeded expectations – I have to give it a glowing review!
First off, its biggest highlight is the location. It's incredibly close to Disney! The hotel offers a dedicated free shuttle bus to Disney, which takes about ten minutes. This saves the hassle of taking a taxi or the subway, making it super convenient for those who want to get to the park early for queuing. Plus, the hotel also provides airport transfer services. My classmates were able to take the hotel's car directly from the airport, saving them the trouble of lugging luggage around and navigating, which was incredibly stress-free.
I booked a family room for the three girls, and the space was very generous, not at all cramped. The beds were also just the right size and very comfortable to sleep in. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable; it was spotless, which made their stay very reassuring.
The hotel environment is also excellent. The decor is modern and elegant, and the common areas are great for photos. My classmates mentioned that the lobby had a lovely fragrance, and the check-in process was very smooth.
I must give a special shout-out to the service here. From communication during the booking process to fulfilling various needs during their stay, the staff were responsive and enthusiastic. My classmates accidentally left something in the room, and when they contacted the hotel, it was quickly found and safely kept, which made them feel very reassured.
The only minor detail is that some facilities might not be the newest models, but they are very well-maintained and completely functional, not affecting the overall experience.
All in all, this was a very successful booking experience. Whether it was the location, room comfort, or service level, everything was impeccable. It's especially suitable for friends visiting Disney – highly recommended! If I have friends coming to Shanghai again, I'll definitely choose this place!

Cynthia was incredibly warm and helpful, assisting us with a speedy check-out and asking about our stay. The baby absolutely adored the pool! We'll definitely be back to try other room types next time.
The Bund's 'Three-Piece Set' view is absolutely stunning, such a wonderful surprise. The hotel is very quiet. I've already recommended it to several friends, and even my local Shanghai friends are planning to go experience it – it's that amazing. Choosing this high-end hotel when traveling with kids was definitely the right decision.

JJuju1978Location is great, they provide laundry soaps/laundry machine which is great. Breakfast is so so. We had a room overlooking a side alley and we changed the room. The passage to the new room was wet and dripping, there was mold. It was actually disgusting to see that. Our stay was ok, i do not want to bash them, but surely it is not good health wise for your clients to sleep in a moldy place.
The staff are ok.

AAnonymous UserBook this...the location is good - the Shanghai Railway Metro is within walking distance, and from there, you'll reach most tourist spots in only 2-5 stops. Transfers are convenient.
We stayed for 6 nights, and the front desk and housekeeping staff were so accommodating. There's free bottled water, coffee, and tea at the lobby, plus other essentials.
The twin Smart-AI room had an automated toilet, and the beds are as advertised (~1.5m), comfortable for 2 people to share. Blackout curtains help you get a good rest.
You can also have your Taobao parcels delivered to the hotel. They have an area for this, and your package will be placed on the shelf based on your mobile's ending number. Your food delivery will be brought your door by a robot.
This was a good stay, and we'd love to book this again for our next visit.

The room is clean and tidy, with a rational layout. The space is spacious and bright, and it is well-ventilated and well-lit, with no unpleasant odors whatsoever. The bedding is soft and comfortable, with a mattress of moderate hardness, ensuring a good night's sleep until dawn. The toiletries are complete and of superior quality, and the bathroom features a scientifically designed separation of dry and wet areas, ensuring thorough cleaning without stains. The room is well-equipped and brand-new. The air conditioning provides excellent heating and cooling performance, has a full network signal, abundant TV programs, and a stable and sufficient hot water supply. Every detail demonstrates thoughtful attention.
The hotel offers a quiet and elegant environment, with clean and orderly public areas. The decoration style is minimalist and elegant, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
