Yes, all foreign nationals entering Malaysia in 2026 must complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC). Implemented on December 1, 2023, MDAC fully replaced the traditional paper arrival card system and is a mandatory immigration requirement—not a visa. MDAC applies to all entry modes (air, land, sea) and all visitor types, including tourists, business travelers, students, and work pass holders.
Every traveler needs their own MDAC, including infants and young children—group submissions are not available (each person must complete their own form)
Exceptions (no MDAC needed):
- Malaysian citizens and permanent residents
- Transit passengers who remain in the international transit area and do not clear Malaysian immigration
- Diplomats and official government representatives with special entry privileges

You can only submit your MDAC within 72 hours (3 days) of your arrival in Malaysia, including the day of arrival. The official system will not accept submissions made earlier than this window to ensure your information remains current.
Example: If your flight lands in Kuala Lumpur on 1 March, you can submit your MDAC from 28 February onwards.
For stress-free travel, submit your MDAC 1-2 days before arrival—avoid last-minute submissions (e.g., airport check-in) to prevent delays from internet issues or form errors.

- Travel: Arrival date, travel mode (air/land/sea), flight/vehicle/ferry number, country of embarkation, intended departure date
- Accommodation: Full Malaysia address (state, city, postcode, street); or hotel name + complete city
- Health: Recent travel history, current health status, and any relevant vaccination information
Note: Use only passport MRZ line spelling/transliteration—no special characters, accents, or nicknames; all letters uppercase for alphanumeric fields.
Step 4: Fill in your details
Enter your personal, travel, accommodation, and health information as prompted by the form—mandatory fields are marked with * for clarity. Answer health declaration questions truthfully—false declarations may result in entry denial or fines.
Step 5: Review and confirm your details
Check every field for typos or mismatches, especially passport number and name—this is the most common cause of submission issues. Once submitted, you cannot edit core personal details (name, passport number, DOB, nationality)—only minor updates (e.g., flight time) are allowed before arrival.
Step 6: Submit and receive PIN code
After reviewing, click Submit. You will immediately receive a PIN code via email—this is essential for accessing your confirmation later.
Step 7: Verify and save your confirmation
Return to the MDAC website and click Check Registration (top right corner). Enter your passport number and PIN code to view, download, or print your confirmation document with a unique QR code. Save the PDF digitally (phone/tablet, offline access recommended) and print a physical copy as a backup—you’ll need this for airline check-in and immigration clearance.

A historic gem in the heart of Bukit Bintang
I’ve always admired this stunning building whenever I passed through Bukit Bintang and finally had the chance to stay for a night.
Pros:
Location: Super convenient as it’s within walking distance to Pavilion Mall.
Parking: Guests can park for a reasonable flat rate of RM 5.
Atmosphere: The building architecture is beautiful, and the lobby is truly grand and impressive.
Pool: The swimming pool is large and was one of my favorite parts of the stay.
Cons/Points to Note:
Aging: As it’s an older hotel, you can definitely see some signs of age that are hard to hide.
Pool Hours: The pool is only open from 8 AM to 8 PM, which is a bit disappointing compared to other hotels that stay open until 10 or 11 PM.

We truly enjoyed my stay at PARK ROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The location is fantastic and made everything so convenient for us, whether it was shopping, exploring, or just getting around the city.
What really made the stay special was the wonderful service from the entire team. The door staff greeted us with warm smiles, the front desk handled our check-in smoothly and kindly, and the buffet staff were always friendly and attentive. Everyone we met made us feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay.
Our room was spacious, spotless and very well maintained. Housekeeping did an amazing job everything was clean, neat, and thoughtfully prepared. It really made us feel relaxed and at home. The level of cleanliness was excellent and definitely stood out.
We also enjoyed the food, which had a nice variety and was very satisfying. Overall, the experience felt pleasant, comfortable, and welcoming in every way.

The room was big, spacious, clean & everything looks well-maintained. Unfortunately, all the service staff at the lobby that we encountered were lacking. There wasn’t any queue at check in when we arrived at around 1-2pm, we paid for room deposit, requested for our rooms to be on the same floor, but the staff did not respond to our request, merely just told us to come back to collect our room keys at 3pm. We deposited four bags at the lobby but found out that they only kept two of our bags, leaving the other two on the ground near the counter, without any tags or label. Until we have to remind the staff to bring in the bags & put them together with the other two bags. Even so, the staff came back to us & added two more bags to our collection slip, when in fact we only have total of four bags. At around 4pm, we went back to collect our room keys, thinking that the process would be quick & smooth, since earlier we’ve already checked in & paid deposit. But the staff took a long time to figure out that we have already checked in, despite us telling her that we came earlier on & paid the room deposit. After handing out the room cards, the staff did not bother to explain the facilities available, or inform us about the WIFI login, even though the counter wasn’t even busy. Also, we requested again if we could have our rooms on the same floor, but she just ignored the request & didn’t bother to inform us that it wasn’t possible. I’m not sure if all these issues are due to proficiency in English, but if the staff could at least listen & respond to guests’ situation & requests, that would make our experience much better, considering this is a 5-star international hotel.FromMYR 439

Located mainly in the Chinatown area, this hotel is mainly for indian and chinese guests. At my stay there were construction works around the building in two sides, so room was very noisy and had to ask for a room on a different side of the building. The second room was a bit better. Expect a lot of coming and going by chinese guests on the corridor and loud speaking during the night hours.
Breakfast is very poor, not worth the money at all.

The only thing i did not like is they only provide valet parking, no normal hotel parking available. so they keep the key when we’re at the hotel which i particularly don’t like. I wish they provide normal hotel parking where i can park by myself & keep the car key. I don’t like others driving my car tho they’re good valet driver. But just for the info, the valet drivers are all very nice & it only costed rm17 for one night valet parking, it’s actually convenient. Sunway Putra hotel is a really good hotel. The rooms are cozy, service is good. We love it there. I stayed at this hotel for three nights, and there were so many great restaurants nearby. Every day, I went to Baba Can Cook, a Michelin-starred restaurant.
The only real downside was how incredibly noisy it was at night. Even as a heavy sleeper, I found it hard to bear. From around 10 PM until 3 AM, the bars outside blasted music, and it was deafening. My travel companion couldn't even sleep with earplugs in. Be warned!
The breakfast was just so-so, not much variety. However, across the street at Gurney Plaza, they sold fresh durian every day, which was pretty good.
Also, the TV in my room mysteriously turned on by itself in the middle of the night for two consecutive nights. In between being woken up by the bar noise, I quietly turned it off. On the third night, I had to unplug the TV beforehand to avoid this strange occurrence. The location is fantastic, right on Bukit Bintang Street. The subway and monorail are nearby, making it super convenient to get anywhere. It gets really lively at night. There's a mall just 50 meters away with tons of food options and all sorts of brand-name stores. The hotel itself is very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
However, the curtains in my room were a bit odd; the blackout curtain was on the outside, and the sheer curtain was on the inside. So, to block out the light, you had to open the sheer curtain first. It really should be the other way around. Also, my room was incredibly cold. I called them to fix it, and even after setting the thermostat to 30 degrees, it was still a bit chilly, though much better than before. The lights in my room were controlled by a remote-like device on the wall (see picture) instead of a traditional switch. The problem is, if you wake up at night, it's easy to press the wrong button.
On the bright side, the pool water was very clean. Overall, I'm quite satisfied. If I visit Kuala Lumpur again, I would definitely stay at this hotel.FromMYR 483

The location is excellent, with a large shopping mall right downstairs. The monorail is also conveniently located just below. It's only a few minutes' walk to the food street. The room is quite spacious. Before booking, I read reviews mentioning issues with hot water taking a long time to come on. Initially, I also waited 30 minutes without hot water. The hotel didn't explain this clearly. There's a switch on the wall outside the bathroom (see photo); hot water only comes 15 minutes after pressing it. I recommend pressing this switch as soon as you check in and get to your room. Breakfast is vegetarian. The downside is that there's very loud prayer chanting starting around 5 AM, which might disturb light sleepers. Also, this hotel has over 40 floors, and my floor alone has 22 rooms. There are six elevators in total, but you might still have to wait a bit sometimes, especially during peak hours.FromMYR 269

Service: There's a front desk, making check-in and check-out very convenient. Environment: It's 400 meters from the subway station, a 15-minute walk to Pavilion KL, and other attractions are also nearby. Facilities: The hotel doesn't provide disposable toiletries or slippers, but it does have a washing machine. Hygiene: The hygiene is quite poor. Child Malaysians loves perfume and air freshener . To me it smelt a little strong on my first night . But other than that the hotel is great , nice rooftop pool with breath taking views . The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, very close to both the Petronas Twin Towers and Pavilion Mall. It rained on our second day, but the hotel has a skybridge directly connected to the mall, so we didn't even need an umbrella! The breakfast and bars are also excellent, especially the rooftop bar. You get a direct view of the Twin Towers, and the visual effect is stunning. There's a handsome Malaysian waiter named Yugesh at the bar who recommended several super delicious cocktails to us, and they were all great value for money. On the day we left, I accidentally knocked over a shower gel bottle while rushing to check out. When we checked out, the two handsome guys at the front desk kept asking if we were hurt and said not to worry about the bottle. Flora by Crossroads Hotel is in a very good and convenient location, which makes it easy for travelers who are always on the go. However, the room cleanliness could be improved. The tiles had visible mold, the bed sheets had stains, and the window did not appear to be properly cleaned. On a positive note, the receptionist was very nice, respectful, and accommodating. Overall, if you are traveling, spending most of your time outside, and simply need a place to store your belongings and rest for a while, this hotel can still be a practical option.FromMYR 67
