Very good services provided by every staff in the hotel. Break fast is good with many choice and seafood buffet at Friday/Saturday night is good too but bit slow in restock the seafood. Room is spacious but view not very good as booked the sea view but the view is blocked by trees. Asked to change a room and reception also happy to assist and bring us to check the room before change

PARKROYAL has always been my first choice whenever I travel to Batu Ferringhi, Penang with my family since 2011. Their thoughtfulness truly stands out — from providing a baby cot, to preparing a birthday cake, and even offering a simple takeaway container so I could pack some snacks for my 20-month-old baby girl after breakfast. These small gestures made our stay extra comfortable and memorable.

I’ve stayed at Lone Pine a few times and always enjoyed the experience, but this trip was a bit disappointing. The room arrangement wasn’t smooth — my first room had a constant clicking sound, so I had to change rooms. Even though I booked earlier, the replacement room still didn’t feel like a good arrangement. Breakfast also fell short of expectations. The variety was very limited, and both coffee machines ran out of coffee beans before 9am, so they couldn’t be used. At the egg station, I requested two hard-boiled eggs, but instead of preparing them, I was told to take the ones from the nasi lemak section. Overall, the breakfast service really needs improvement. I also went for the Elite Hour for drinks and snacks, but the snack selection was honestly quite awful and extremely limited. It didn’t match the standard I expected from Lone Pine. I hope the hotel can look into these details, as Lone Pine is a lovely place and I truly hope to see the experience return to the quality I used to enjoy.

The rooms were very clean, and the service was excellent. It was a bit noisy with all the children, but it would be perfect if you're traveling with kids. The pool is large, and there are many activities. Plus, there's a park nearby with lots of fun things to do.

2 bedroom apartment was decent, view was good, places to eat close by, and beach was easy access. Bathroom and living lights did not all work. No bathmats in rooms, no coffee and tea provided, not enough shower gel, booked for 5 pax over 2 rooms but they only gave us 4 bath towels. No beach towels provided. No indoor slippers. Front floor was dirty and stained. Car park was dark at 6pm, scary. Only 1 key for 5 people

Warm welcome by the hotelier. Provided with refreshing welcome drinks. Registred to shangrila web and recieved complimentary cap and tote bag. Request to have extra blanket pillow towels and plain water were attended within 15mins. Pools with slides really made my kids entertained. Breakfast gas variety of dishes to choose from. Overall recommended.

I booked a sea view room. I had been reading reviews for a long time and was worried about a bad view, but luckily I got a room on the 9th floor with a really great view. You could lie on the balcony all day. The service was very good. Although most staff couldn't speak Chinese, they were all very enthusiastic.

Easy parking at the hotel (inside and outside), easy check in and checkout, friendly staffs, good amenities, delicious foods, comfy and clean room..most important, best pool for adults and kids..nice view in the background (seaview) and in front of the hotel (hill view).

What a pleasant surprise this B&B was! The owner is Chinese, and I felt an immediate sense of warmth when we met. The scenery right outside the B&B is already stunning, and the interior was just as delightful! It's very clean and tidy, and the decor is quite unique (we stayed in the Harry Potter-themed room 😋). There's a large terrace inside the B&B where you can enjoy sea views. Our stay was over New Year's Day, and the owner even gave us a New Year's gift 🎁 – so thoughtful! Breakfast is also provided. Highly recommend everyone to stay here!!
