The room even has a charming cartoon-style design, showing a lot of thought and care. It's clean, tidy, and has a great overall vibe. As for the location, if you turn right and then immediately right again behind the hotel, you'll find a row of excellent, unique small restaurants with affordable prices and a wide variety of dishes. The experience was absolutely fantastic. A special shout-out to the hotel for the thoughtful wristband room keys for the kids; they were absolutely thrilled throughout our three-night stay. The spacious 1.45-meter twin beds were incredibly comfortable. The balcony was perfect for enjoying the view and convenient for drying clothes. Kids playing in the water also had plenty of shade, and the pool staying open until 10 PM was a huge bonus – the children had a blast and the water was spotless. I stayed in this hotel for a short trip. The reception lady was friendly, the bar in the lobby is beautiful and they had some singing performers there on Sunday evening, which felt really special and welcoming.
The carpet and walls in the hallways need renovation and an AC in that area would be nice. My room was quite far away from the elevator, which was quite inconvenient.
Unfortunately, the adults pool wasn’t “working” when I wanted to use it and the sauna was out of service as well. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay.From£88

Location: It's directly across from Laohu City (Tiger City) and Zhonghua City, making it a very lively area. It's convenient for reaching all the attractions, and there's a wide variety of takeout options that arrive super fast.
Transportation: There's a slope at the entrance, but cars can drive up it, so calling a taxi is very convenient.
Facilities: The downside is that most of the hotel rooms don't have windows. Rooms with windows facing the road can be noisy.

I'd only heard about the unique architecture of the hotel, but after checking in, everything was excellent. The service was especially attentive and responsive. I got caught in the rain on the way in, and the front desk staff provided hot ginger tea. After checking in, I requested afternoon tea, which was also promptly delivered to my room. I'm especially grateful for the laundry service and luggage delivery to the dock, which greatly enhanced my travel experience. We booked a two-bedroom hot spring suite, which was incredibly spacious for our family of four. The room featured a full smart home system; we could control the curtains and lights with just a voice command, which was a real game-changer when looking after the kids! My favorite part was the suite's private hot spring area ✨. After a day of exploring, a soak with the kids was pure bliss. They were absolutely overjoyed, splashing around, and I felt completely relaxed. We then snuggled into the super soft bedding, and the kids fell asleep instantly, giving this tired mom a much-needed break!
The guesthouse's 'fairy-tale photo ops' were simply spectacular! Both the ground floor and the rooftop were decked out with popular Instagrammable scenes – swings, flower walls, 'Monet Garden'-style backdrops... it felt like stepping into a fairy tale, and every casual snap turned into a stunning photo 📸. What's more, there was a hidden kids' play area on the ground floor, complete with slides, a mini-kitchen, and more. Our little ones had an absolute blast in there, completely absorbed for hours, not even looking for me! I seized the opportunity to visit the various photo spots myself. It was fantastic – I got to keep the kids entertained AND capture some beautiful memories!
The location was also fantastic! Nestled between the mountains and the sea, the guesthouse was just a short walk to the beach. The kids had a wonderful time playing in the sand and collecting seashells. It's also conveniently close to popular Xiamen attractions like Zengcuo'an and Zhongshan Road, making it super easy to go out and explore the local food scene.
The service was incredibly attentive. The front desk staff and housekeepers noticed we had young children and proactively offered to help with our luggage and recommended family-friendly routes. The rooftop cafe was another highlight, offering afternoon tea with breathtaking mountain and sea views. It was so wonderfully relaxing to unwind there after the kids had tired themselves out from playing ☕.

The Linhai line next to Muju is amazing! As the most beautiful section of Xiamen Mountain and Sea Trail, just a few steps away, I hope to take a sea view under the tower. The steamed buns, walnut buns, quicksand buns, white porridge, sauerkraut, eggs, are full, and say ”you have the strength to walk when you are full” for breakfast. It is super convenient to go to the trail from the hotel. The grass and trees along the way are fragrant. The mangoes for afternoon tea are not greasy. It is just right to eat on foot. This isn't my first stay here; whether for business or personal trips to Xiamen, I almost always choose the Kempinski.
The location is convenient, both within the city and for getting around. What I find best is how incredibly smooth the check-in process is at the front desk – there's practically never any waiting. For both travel and business trips, a seamless check-in right after arriving at the airport is the perfect start to a great experience.
Beyond the silky-smooth check-in, let's talk about the stay itself. The hotel offers both firm and soft beds, catering to more guests, which I appreciate. The pool is fantastic; if you want to get a proper swim in, it fully delivers. The breakfast, facilities, and everything else truly meet the hotel's positioning. We were staying in the Executive Room - Sea-View and our experience was marvelous. The 24th floor room has amazing views, just a stone's throw away from Gulangyu island. The hotel itself is high end, a real 5 stars hotel in every aspect, including the excellent gym. I recommend you to book one of the executive rooms because you will get access to the Executive Lounge which allows you to enjoy delicious food and beverages all day long while accompanied by very few other guests. The executive lounge made our stay even more enjoyable and unforgettable.
Of course I should mention the prime location of the hotel: a short walk away from the metro station and Lujiang night Cruise pier.

Facilities: It has a bathtub. There's an electric bidet toilet, but it's not great; the auto-flush doesn't work well, so you have to flush manually, and the other function buttons aren't very responsive either. Overall, the facilities are a bit old, with an outdated decor style.
Environment: It's close to the beach, and has floor-to-ceiling windows. However, there's a bridge being built right outside the window, so if you're in the room during the day, it can be quite noisy. There's a kids' play area on the basement level, which is good for those with children, but since you're in Xiamen, it's probably better to take them out to play in the sand. We were given access to the executive lounge, but the experience wasn't very good. You really need to go early; dinner only lasts about two hours, and we went an hour in, so it was basically just leftovers and scraps. There was only a tiny bit of drink left, just enough to grudgingly pour one glass. During the day, you can get tea and coffee, but only beverages, no desserts at all.

As the hotel is located a bit off the main road, it would be helpful if they had highlighted me on the address to input for transport drop off. The didi driver claimed to have dropped me at the location (45 Shengping Road) and I had to scramble a bit to locate the hotel. Do note to use 47 Shengping Road (Mudita Hotel) instead.
Hotel amenities are sufficient for use. The hotel gives off a very traditional and chill vibe, and provided better quality toiletries.

The service was excellent. The location is very close to Sunlight Rock, the beach, and the Bagua Building. Breakfast the next day was a real treat: a bowl of satay noodles, a fried egg, a plate of fruit, and a glass of orange juice. My child ate very well. There are three gentle kittens in the courtyard. You can buy a notebook downstairs to get stamps, and my child played there for over an hour. The young man at the front desk was very patient. 👍

The steamed buns, walnut buns, quicksand buns, white porridge, sauerkraut, eggs, are full, and say ”you have the strength to walk when you are full” for breakfast. It is super convenient to go to the trail from the hotel. The grass and trees along the way are fragrant. The mangoes for afternoon tea are not greasy. It is just right to eat on foot. Check in needed calling for landlord and without any Chinese skills it may be difficult. As well landlord asked us to register ourselves thru app and it was as well only Chinese. Not easy for foreigners. After my complaint landlord gave another apartment what was in 50th floor and bed was much more softer. Thank you for that. Strange was that normal towels were not included. Instead of normal towels there were some strange disposable towel. Building himself is almost new but some mouldering is visible and that is not nice. As well the windows were a bit dirty.

After booking, the little brother was very considerate in telling me how to book a ferry ticket and answered a lot of questions patiently. In the evening We boarded the ferry at 23:10. When we arrived, the little brother arranged for a car to pick us up. Although we could only carry luggage (the police on the island did not allow us to pull people), one of the two brothers drove the luggage to the hotel, and the other brother took it with him. He walked us all the way to the hotel along the seaside. After checking in, he learned that we had not eaten yet, so he sent us the afternoon tea for the next day in advance. It was very considerate and asked us in advance what time we would have breakfast the next day. The afternoon tea was rich and delicious. In the evening, my wife and I sat on the terrace making tea, chatting, admiring the moon and watching airplanes. A small breeze blew by, which felt very good.
