Easy access to Grand Batam Mall, which is just directly opposite the hotel lobby. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were clean and well maintained. I also noticed that many Asians stay here, which made me feel comfortable. The breakfast selection wasn't very extensive, but it was still good enough. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and will definitely come back to this hotel again.

My intention here is to provide a 100% fact based, detailed and balanced assessment of the 360° experience of this property. But before we jump in to the details, let me first say that *for the discounted VIP member price* paid on this occasion, we are 100% satisfied with our stay at MAXONE Batam (with one notable exception, see below). A big thank you to the management and team (especially front desk and concierge) for an *almost* perfect 👌🏼 stay. First visited MAXONE Batam six months ago when newly opened. A very positive experience, but my initial impressions were that overall facilities available were quite limited given the ambitious price point. This second stay confirmed my initial observations, after 6 months of operation. Quality of welcome is very good, front desk and concierge extremely professional. Well done 👏🏼. Main public areas and rooms are immaculately clean and well maintained. If you want 100% immaculately clean rooms, this is, however, probably your best choice today in Batam. Linens are top quality, fresh and clean. Abundant and carefully selected pillows. Very large king bed. If your objective is a good sleep, this is pretty much guaranteed. However, we have the following observations that indicate the typical prices asked for the standard Deluxe King rooms are ambitious and too high for what you get: - Breakfast not included - No pool or gym - Deluxe King rooms very narrow and claustrophobic for two people with luggage and shopping (but the bathrooms are a good size) - It's clear from the layout that whoever did the interior design of the Deluxe King rooms is not accustomed to, and does not have appropriate experience of, designing for compact room dimensions - much could be learned from the efficient layout of similarly compact (19m2) rooms in eg Denmark, Sweden, about the optimal use of space. - Unacceptable WiFi connectivity, whether you are a business or leisure traveller. Latency (often over 1000ms) in particular is problematic. Over 100 tests conducted on 5 different devices over 48 hours at different times of day and at all locations at the property. This is clearly a conscious cost based decision by the hotel operator and not a technical limitation, certainly not in a newly constructed property. This is particularly an issue for local business travellers such as myself because 4G/5G cellular connectivity with XL, Telkomsel etc at this location at Jln Sriwijaya / Kampung Pelita is extremely poor and always has been. *Summary and conclusions* We've stayed at almost all 3*, 4* and 5* properties in the Riau Islands over the past 10 years. This includes the two most recent 5* star properties and several newly refurbished 4* star properties in Kota Batam. As a ”user chooser” business owner who travels and works remotely 300+ days a year, I don't have a set ”budget” or ”price range” for hotels and apartments I select. I'm interested in the services and facilities received in relation to the actual price paid (after my usual VIP / frequent traveller discounts). On this occasion, my VIP member prices mean I paid very competitive prices for this stay. As a result I'm 100% satisfied with my stay at MAXONE Batam, with the exception of the WiFi provision which remains unacceptable in such a property given the kind of target customers the property would like to attract as guests.

The hotel is very clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is small and dirty when we were there. Kids walking around at the breakfast area and jumping in and out from the pool to breakfast area. No proper towels provided for the pool. My room is clean but face a block of construction wall which looks really eerie at night. I think they are in the midst of extension their hotel. Blackout twice but power came back fast. Despite the small imperfect, it is still a very comfortable hotel which I will go back to in Batam.

If you are looking for a place that is away from the noise you can consider this hotel, it’s not that far from Nagoya and Grand Batam mall with grab which cost about IDR60-75k depending on the choice of vehicle. The room we got was worth the price paid for but I recommend for lake view as the one I chose was the view of the garden but what I see is the apartment just across our windows. The room is well maintained and clean, nice and comfy bed and pillows. Do take note that you hear music from morning till almost 10pm which was played from the open bar even I was on the 8th floor. Those who are thinking of using the gym, there is only 1 treadmill and the rest of the electric equipments are not working but you can do your run outside as the area is a gated private residential. Food for breakfast was provided with many options and my daughter and I was very happy with the varieties and I was surprised that they even have steamed sweet potatoes and tapioca which I have not seen in most places I’ve been, it was very thoughtful of them. The staffs are very friendly and always ready when you need help and kudos to the restaurant team that serves breakfast, they are very attentive and fast and stayed calm even when the place was packed of people on the weekends . Overall my stay was very pleasant and happy to come back again.

This branded hotel has a great location, very close to the night market and shopping mall, making it super convenient for food and drinks. It's also quite quiet, and the breakfast buffet in the morning is extensive. Excellent value for money!

Our stay at Montigo Resorts was nothing short of magical. From the moment my fiancé and I arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of luxury, comfort, and romance. We booked a stunning two-bedroom villa featuring its own private pool, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. The villa was exceptionally clean, beautifully designed, and offered the perfect sanctuary for a romantic getaway. Having a private pool just steps from our bed allowed us to enjoy quiet, intimate swims at any time of day, completely undisturbed.Inside the villa, the attention to detail was remarkable. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and filled with natural light. One of the absolute highlights of the accommodation was the deep, luxurious bathtub. After a long day of exploring and activities, soaking in the tub became our favorite way to unwind and relax together. The housekeeping team deserves immense credit for keeping every corner of our villa pristine throughout our stay, ensuring we never had to worry about a thing.Beyond the beautiful room, our trip was packed with memorable experiences. We are a couple that loves a mix of relaxation and adventure, so we decided to try the ATV riding offered at the resort. It was an absolute blast. Racing through the trails together brought a fantastic rush of adrenaline and added an exciting, adventurous spark to our romantic vacation. The staff guiding the ATV experience were professional, safety-conscious, and made sure we had the best time possible.Of course, no luxury stay is complete without great food, and Montigo Resorts delivered perfectly on that front. Our package included a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning, which quickly became something we looked forward to every day. The spread was incredibly generous, featuring a wide variety of both local and international dishes. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, from the live cooking stations to the fresh pastries and tropical fruits. Starting our mornings together over a delicious, hearty breakfast with beautiful resort views set the perfect tone for the rest of our day.What made this trip truly amazing was how seamlessly the resort blended high-energy fun with peaceful romance. Whether we were splashing around in our private pool, getting mud-soaked on the ATV tracks, or relaxing in our spotless villa, every moment felt special. The staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile, making us feel valued from check-in to check-out. It was the perfect escape for me and my fiancé, allowing us to connect, create unforgettable memories, and enjoy a flawless blend of luxury and adventure. We left Montigo Resorts feeling completely refreshed and deeply in love with the place, and we already cannot wait to return for another unforgettable stay.

The staff were the highlight of the stay — consistently polite, humble, and attentive, providing excellent service throughout. Unfortunately, the villa itself was quite run down and appeared to lack proper upkeep and maintenance, which was disappointing given my expectations. There is insufficient power plug for phone / tablet charging. The breakfast spread was decent, with a reasonable variety of options to start the day. Overall, while the service was excellent, the condition of the villa fell short of expectations. Would I return? No.

Good location with many food options nearby. Walking distance to Nagoya Hill Mall. Breakfast is superb, delicious local tastes. The room is clean but lacks amenities, especially hand towels and hairdryers.

Booked the escape room which comes with Wellness body massage. This was previously Swiss Bel-inn hotel. I spent most of my time at Eska Spa there. It is about 5 mins ride to Nagoya Hill hotel. Breakfast was included in my package, and it is sufficient for a night stay. But I was utterly disappointed at the front desk service and the room. While I arrived early (around 12 plus), they said to come back after 2pm and not suggesting anything else on what to do during the wait. I am working in hotel line for over a decade, and honestly, I wished the girls had done better. I had to ask where the spa was, and after confused while, I managed to find it. The lift was being fixed when I arrived, and glass sliding door to the staircase was not working. I had reached out to the spa team the day before, as instructed in this channel, to book a slot. But they also did not get back to me, and was debating on whether the inclusion was correct or not. After about 10 minutes of waiting while the spa girls checked with Front desk, I said I had intended to buy 6-in-1 package. Only then I was given much attention (I was the only guest in the spa, by the way). And they then realised I was also a member. Things got better at the spa, but for the room, it was smelt of cigarettes. I could not stand the strong smell and the poor bell hop tried to spray the room with Glade, but it did not help. He brought an air purifier after I mentioned it, and then I decided to leave the room to Nagoya mall. Upon my return, the smell was much better, though the cigarettes smell is found on the pillows. There is a nice cafe and swimming pool, but I did not get to utilise them. Also, apparently there's two wings, and both wings have the same room numbers. I was given the old wing at the corner and I can hear the doors of my neighbours opening and closing. On my last day, there was a manager going around while we are having breakfast and he surprised me as I was eating when he approached. He greeted others as well as he went on his rounds at the restaurant. A good presentation. Anyway, for a night stay, it is sufficient because you don't have to leave the property if you intend to spend a whole spa day there.
