Absolutely fantastic ! Staff were extremely helpful and thoughtful, couldn’t do enough to help. Despite it being the opening week post winter shutdown, everything was spot on. A great mix of new and experienced staff worked well. Comfortable villa with everything you need.

I would use one word to describe this hotel -Paradise. We came as guests and the staff treated us so well, we left as friends. We had our wedding at the Bricia Du Mar and it was prefect. The location for a wedding is what we dreamed of. The hotel is low rise and like a little village with beautiful rooms and a stunning pool area. There is a fantastic gym and spa also. What Raquel, Pedro and everyone else did to help us was above and beyond what you would expect from a hotel. They say they are not wedding planners but what they did to help us arrange our wedding was incredible. This a family run hotel and you can see the care and attention they have to make the hotel a success as it is quite new. Everything is spotlessly clean and such a calming wonderful environment. Our wedding went without a hitch and the attention to detail was incredible. All the staff at our wedding were genuinely happy to be there from the chefs to the bar staff and waiters who couldn’t do enough for us. Stayed at Gramacho for 7 days , superb apartment overlooking the 4th hole, had breakfast at the clubhouse 10 euros, breakfast fine. Golf on all 4 courses was superb, alto, pinta , silves and gramacho. Must recommend a couple of places in Carvoeiro, the best restaurant for miles AL GALE, must try the Portuguese steak and flambé prawns. Plus the wonderful and friendly pub A BOA VIDA, the friendly family run pub, great service, music and a personal touch. They went out of there way to make us feel welcome and on 2 occasions ordered us taxis when none were available ( after 2am) Jennifer and her parents own a wonderful bar very welcoming to golfers, families and couples. Have to say next door the CARVOEIRO BAR is completely different, a little bit more lively although watch you change when getting served as 3 of our group got short changed by at least 40 euros overall, plus some dodgy characters hang around in and near the pub. The owner offered our group a free drink on arrival, which swayed us to go in a few times, whether he is involved in the dodgy bar staff not to sure. Be very wary !!!! Overall a superb time with a great group of friends. Highly recommend this part of Portugal for the golf, weather and hospitality.

I stayed here for a week the room had a problem with shower toilet headboard and glass partition on balcony none of the above bothered me as I still found the hotel to be basic but alright, however I am gluten free, whilst they had special guests stopping they couldn't cater enough so first three days where brilliant, when the special guests checked out the gluten free bread cakes and quasisnts were no longer an option the gluten free sausages were also not an option, I asked staff which were rude and said if have issue raise with reception, I found it easier to buy my own bread for the rest of the holiday and just have beans from the breakfast buffet, would have definitely recommend to coeliac friends and family however seems they can only cater when they have special guests which is ashame

Room was very comfortable, clean and beds were nice.Air con worked well when all doors and windows are shuts properly. Bathroom was spacious and hot water. Breakfast was excellent with lots of variety 👌 Staff were fine but not over welcoming with greetings. Paulo was helpful though. No outside pool as shown in pictures, this was a let down for us as we wanted to swim and relax by pool with sun. Indoor looked okay but didn't use it . Location was a 15 min walk to restaurants but uber is available too. Beaches were busy and okay. Seen lots of nicer beaches in Europe 🇪🇺 Ciao

Beautiful property right on Praia da Rocha. Excellent service at check-in, was given a quick tour of the lobby and room by a wonderful gentleman. Beautiful and tidy room, stunning view from balcony, though the small bathroom window opens into the corridor and at times there is an unpleasant odour from a pipe in the toilet. Breakfast was adequate and delicious, staff were helpful and nice. Overall a great place to stay!

Two thoughts on this review. The good and the very bad. The hotel and staff were very good. Hotel is modern looking and very comfortable. The included breakfast was exceptionaly good. The pool was nice and refreshing. It is not heated and it was fine to cool off from the hot weather we were experiencing. Lots of easy walking to local cafes and restaurents and beatuiful beaches. All in all a very good time there. Now the bad comment. Upon our late night arrival after 10pm (there was an unexpected detour required off of the Alfa Pendular High Speed Train, necessitating the use of a bus and then another train) then a last bus to get to the hotel, we were able to get checked in quickly with the efficient front desk staff. Alas, food availability was sparce, as most of the walking distance restaurents were closed or closing. Front desk staff stated that the hotel bar would be serving food until midnight. Sounded good. The four of us got ourselves a spot in the bar area and then proceeded to order some drinks and food. Simple enough, although it was quickly obvious that they were vastly understaffed and overwhelmed by the number of people who had just arrived. Whatever, we were not in a rush. Drinks took considerable time to arrive and the food took much longer. My 11 Euro cheeseburger was a joke. Cold bun with a thin slab of meat with an unmelted slice of processed cheese on top. My wife's cheeseburger was the same. Seems we did well. My travelling companion got his cheeseburger and the bun was grilled for some reason and the meat and cheese were burnt to a crisp. Photo included in this review to remove any doubts about food quality. When the burnt cheesburger was brought back to the server (bartender), it was met with just a shrug of the shoulders. No apology or offer of some form of reinbursement. Welcome to Turim Presidente. We decided at that moment not to purchase anymore food from the hotel, for fear of inferior chefs or wannabe cooks. The included breakfast was great, so we think that someone who was totaly unqualified, had attempted to be the master of the kitchen during that late night bar food experience. Too bad, as it ruined our initiation to the hotel, especially considering the cost for a cheeseburger. Later, during our stay in Portimao, I had the pleasure of having a cheeseburger at one of the local restaurents, Rock Sports Bar. It was fabulous. This was our first time staying at this hotel though we are very familiar with the area having been frequent visitors with our family over the past 14 years or so. The hotel was recommended to us so we decided to take a chance and book - we needn't have been worried. From the moment we checked in we found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful.Our room was a nice comfortable size with an amazing sea view and was extremely comfortable. Breakfast is very varied though it was busy no matter what time we decided to attend yet this was not an issue. The area is very much in the quieter part of Praia da Rocha which is great and because we were there in October we had no problems getting seated at various restaurants - though in high season that would be adifferent story. All in all this was a great relaxing trip and this hotel was wonderful -we will definitely return next year!
