Best Hotels in Longford

It doesn't take much to send your bar staff on a cocktail course and buy a ice crusher to make a margharita. Please don't advertise it if it can't be made. Very expensive too considering it tasted of soap and had big chunks of ice floating in it and a slice of lemon and not lime. I chose to stay for two nights as a destination hotel rather than 'just a hotel near the airport' so I suppose you could label a 'service' hotel but I have felt after being here for one day and one more night to go, it is not a place where people want to create or make relationships as I have felt it being rather a 'no' environment. I have done my best to be friendly but felt a little bit like more of a nuisance for wanting to create more relationships as a solo traveller especially when at 10 staff started to clear breakfast before I was even finished at 10.30 and then looked at a plate I had taken with me to my room as if to say 'you shouldn't be taking that' when it felt too uncomfortable to finish it in the main room. I may be unusual in my longer stay but I have still paid and a good customer and travel and stay in hotels a lot. The price is a good deal but that should still reflect good service. There should also be instructions on how to work the tv as I couldn't and then I met two ladies who had sat in the lounge for 4 hrs because they also couldn't work it so I helped them out. I train staff in friendliness and not saying they weren't but in my opinion, their needs to be a bit more approachability for a hotel near a major London airport with such incredible facilities such as a roof terrace overlooking the runway. It feels a bit like it has been forgotten and just left to be as it is as a very small part of the large Thistle Hotel Chain.

It was a good hotel with all the amenities in the hotel. The size of the rooms are pretty small but okay for an individual. best part about the hotel was the location, it is very close to Airport ( you can just hop on the london bus ).

When I got to the reception everything was quick and fast. Staff are very polite. Went to the room was a bit smaller than I expected but unfortunately no water bottles provided which was very unusual. The toilet was fairly clean was a small piece of garbage on the sink but no issue. The restaurants was top service they managed to let me in after 10:00 and I really appreciate it as I was very hungry. Lovely staff and food was 10/10 big portions.

We checked in at about midnight. Front office staff was friendly and helpful. He changed my room promptly after informing them the noisy fan coil.

1. For passengers who depart early or arrive late at T3, the location is unparalleled and convenient. It is really great to be able to take a shower and sleep after getting off the plane and entering customs; 2. There are no other problems with the room except that it is a little small. It is clean and tidy. , The decoration is elegant and simple, and it is very comfortable to sleep; 3. The breakfast is not very good, one horn, one muffin, a small box of fruit and a box of yogurt. Sandwiches require an additional 5 pounds, which is very stingy; 4. It is not very convenient to rent a car and return it. The next day I went to t2 to pick up the car. When I drove back to pick up my luggage, I could only park at t3 shortstay. There was no way to park in front of the hotel to pick up my luggage. It was either a bus lane or a taxi lane.

The location of the place is really good like 10 minutes from the airport, very convenient, check in was really fast and staff seemed nice the room was okay did find some stains on one of the cushions which wasn't great and the remote was dirty too.The bed was fine and comfy enough but could hear the person next door very clearly which was the best too. The bathroom was nice and clean with shower being good too, so overall I say it's good enough but only if you can find a cheap price for it.

My stay was extremely pleasant, Staff members despite the busy hotel always pleasant and service with a smile. The Staff members always went the extra mile, the dining Staff were amazing too always cheerful and one lady Shim always gave me hot milk with a smile. Mercure London Heathrow - Saturday 19th November 2022 - 15:15 Entrance is on street level door and has automatic doors. On arrival there was a coach party queuing and the queue went out the main door. I joined that queue and eventually checked in approximately 20 minutes after I joined the queue. The male receptionist seemed flustered and the female receptionist didn’t seem to be doing much. I’ve checked into other hotels where I have been part of a coach group and they normally make us all stand to one side and then call individuals/ couple over to check in; that way when other guest arrive at least one of the receptionist can switch to the new guest and then they don’t have to join a long queue and be inconvenienced. Our room was on the ground floor but I did see lifts. Room: The usual things like a hairdryer, iron in the wardrobe, fridge and safe in a cupboard and on top of the cabinet was the coffee/ tea facilities but no spoons to stir your drinks. Big TV - there seem to be a decent amount of channels my only issue was the back of the control was missing so you had to jiggle the batteries to get it to work; I took a photo just in case they try to charge me for damage. Bed was comfy, pillows were ok. There is a lamp and spotlight either side of the bed. The switch on the wall by the bed operates the main light, you switch the lamp/ spotlight off using two black buttons under the arm of the lamp; not an obvious way to control the light. A desk with lamp and phone, quite handy if you have some work to do. Bathroom: Floors a bit weird, it looks like they have stuck some Christmas paper over the original tiles to cover something up, poor workmanship, looks cheap, not a good look. Usual towels and shampoos and things; I was going to use the bath mat in the shower but when I saw how dirty and stained it was I didn’t bother. The sealant around the sink and bath taps needs redoing and there is rust around the bathroom taps. Toilet handle is a bit loose and it took 3 attempts to get it to flush. Parking: There are two levels to the parking, I drove into the top level, very tight parking and for a hotel of this size there isn’t enough spaces. I informed the reception I’d parked my car and was informed of the £16 charge for 24 hours. I paid my fee and entered my registration on a system. Bar: Small bar but plenty of seating. We asked a member of staff at what time the bar closed and we were told last orders were at 22:45 which would imply if you went to the bar at this time you could still get a drink. At 22:40 they were cashing up the till. Initially when you walk in the room it looks really nice but then you notice the faults. This morning I went to get something from the car and as I walked through reception you could see the tables from last night hadn’t been cleared as they still had glasses on tables from last night. Overall it was average, initially the room looked lovely but on closer inspection it needs a revamp and att
