I just want to express how amazing my experience at SSAW Boutique was! From check-in to check-out, everything was seamless. The man at the front desk also helped me order food even though it was late at night and found me a restaurant that was open, I really appreciated that. Highly suggest staying here, the views from the rooms are also amazing.

fionho78The hotel's location is truly exceptional, nestled by the Suzhou Creek on the North Bund, right next to the historic Waibaidu Bridge. It offers panoramic views of Lujiazui and the iconic Bund skyline. The hotel's understated Baroque luxury seamlessly blends with the neoclassical style of the Bund, exuding sophisticated elegance.
The hotel lobby is a grand affair, featuring a massive crystal chandelier, soaring ceilings, and a majestic marble staircase. Adorned with captivating artworks and sculptures, it feels like an immersive art space – a perfect blend of vintage charm and modern sophistication. Every corner speaks of prestige and refinement. Our room was incredibly comfortable and spacious, with exquisite design and meticulous attention to detail. Both the room's size and amenities were simply perfect.
Breakfast is served on the second floor in the Western restaurant, which boasts expansive views. Every table offers a glimpse of the Suzhou Creek and the Bund, making it wonderfully comfortable and relaxing to enjoy breakfast by the window while watching the river.
The only minor drawbacks were the slightly large gap under the shower door, which could lead to water spilling out if the showerhead was pointed incorrectly. Also, the buffet selection at breakfast wasn't particularly extensive, and there were limited bread options. However, the à la carte menu was quite good. Overall, our stay was very satisfying.

Had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, with easy access to transportation. While the room facilities aren't the newest, the bedding was comfortable, making for a very relaxing stay. The front desk staff were quite friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Overall, the hotel's environment and cleanliness are far superior to express hotels in the same price range. Highly recommend.

Guest UserThis century-old building exudes a unique Shanghai charm. Its location is unbeatable, right next to Dashijie (Great World) and People's Square, making getting around and dining incredibly convenient. The room was spotlessly clean and tidy. I received an upgrade to a high-floor room on the 9th floor, offering a comfortable view, and it was exceptionally quiet at night. The hotel's interior design perfectly matched my aesthetic, and the attention to detail was excellent. The staff were courteous, and their service was meticulous and reliable. As a long-established Jinjiang hotel, its quality is reassuring. I originally booked three nights and four days, but I extended my stay by an extra day, enjoying a pleasant four-night stay. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for future trips.

bora1970The hotel boasts an excellent location with breathtaking views of both sides of the Bund right outside the window. You can directly access the North Bund promenade from the hotel's second floor, making it very convenient for a stroll. Breakfast is served until noon, allowing for a leisurely brunch, and the spread is extensive with good quality. The rooftop bar offers panoramic views of the Bund, though it's a bit warm this time of year. The room layout is well-designed and comfortable, but I'm not sure if it's due to the age of the decor, as the floorboards are slightly warped.

The room was clean and the bathroom was large. Big bath tub and comfortable shower.
Location is unbeatable! Walking distance to Nanjing East Pedestrian Street and People’s Place Park and Metro which serves 3 lines. Walking distance to food and massage areas as well.
Only downside is that it is on a one way street, so it could be challenging to take a didi and be picked up with a driver.
Service was - I did ask about local services and while they are willing to help, they are unsure of what is around them, such as massage places or food places.. it would have been nice if they could recommend what they like instead of just providing a general direction.

wangying_0418The European Baroque style is grand, and even the basic rooms are spacious at over 70 sqm, featuring a 2.2-meter king-size bed, a balcony, and a well-designed layout that makes for a very comfortable stay. The service is warm and friendly, breakfast and the buffet are plentiful, and the pool is beautiful. It's suitable for both families with children and business travelers. The downsides are that some facilities are a bit dated since the hotel has been open for several years, the location is a bit out in the suburbs and far from the subway, a few rooms occasionally have some minor cleaning issues in corners, and the underground parking entrance is a bit narrow.

Guest UserThe room design style is minimalist, luxurious, and very spacious with an amazing view. The in-room bathtub bubble bath was incredibly comfortable. The pool view is also stunning, especially at night – perfect for photos. The hot spring bubble bath was super relaxing, like a full body massage. They say hotels are places that attract good energy, and I've been feeling quite down lately. After staying here, I truly believe I'll be re-energized. Just lying on the bed, looking out the window, and clearing my mind makes me feel like life is worth living. Always believe that good things can happen at any moment.

MengjiaerkongziThis hotel has a supermarket inside, which is very convenient, especially since it sells alcohol. It's also right next to two subway lines, 13 and 7, making it super easy to get to places like the Bund and Jing'an Temple. There's a self-service laundry room on the 21st floor, though you might have to wait in line sometimes. Breakfast runs quite late, which is great for sleeping in. Highly recommend! And a special shoutout to Judy at the front desk – she was really enthusiastic and even upgraded my room.

Guest UserI’m so glad I chose the Mehood Elegant Hotel. It was the perfect location — close to everything, not too crowded, yet not too remote either. I traveled solo with my 14-month-old toddler, and he was absolutely spoiled by all the hotel staff. Everyone treated us with so much kindness and care.
Jerry checked us in and out and even gave me a cute fridge magnet. The breakfast was delicious with so many options to choose from, the rooms were cleaned daily, and bottled water was always replenished.
Xiao Jun also took great care of us, and Yinhe Juan felt like an auntie to us. We looked forward to seeing them every morning at breakfast. They all made my stay feel so warm and welcoming — truly like a home away from home.
I’m incredibly grateful for their hospitality, and if I ever find myself back in Shanghai again, I’ll definitely be booking Mehood.
PS: the view from my room was incredible!
