Indonesia Arrival Card

Effective September 1, 2025, Indonesia merged paper arrival cards, standalone e-CD (Electronic Customs Declaration) and SATUSEHAT health declarations into the unified All Indonesia digital arrival card – mandatory for Jakarta (CGK), Bali (DPS), Surabaya (SUB) airports & Batam seaports.

The traditional e-CD remains required for all other Indonesian entry points (until full national rollout of All Indonesia system). Both platforms are free, official and digital-only (no paper forms).

What is Indonesia Arrival Card (e-CD)

All Indoensia Arrival Card

Source: welcomebacktobali

Indonesia Arrival Card is a mandatory digital entry declaration form for all international travelers, issued by Indonesia’s immigration and customs authorities. It replaces all outdated paper arrival cards and integrates three core entry formalities into one submission: immigration verification, customs declaration (replacing standalone e-CD) and health/quarantine declaration (replacing SATUSEHAT).

  • All Indonesia System: For major entry points (Jakarta/Bali/Surabaya/Batam) – one form for all formalities
  • Traditional e-CD: For other entry points – focuses on customs declaration (paired with immigration’s basic digital check)
Submission for either generates a unique QR code, the only valid document for immigration/customs clearance. It is not a visa – valid visa/VOA/e-VOA is still required for eligible nationalities.

There are NO exemptions – the digital arrival card (All Indonesia system or traditional e-CD) is mandatory for all international travelers entering Indonesia via any air/sea/land port. It applies to:

  • All nationalities (tourists, business travelers, transit passengers exiting the airport/port)
  • Indonesian citizens and residents returning from overseas
  • Travelers with no goods to declare (QR code is still required for immigration clearance)
  • All Indonesian destinations (Bali, Lombok, Yogyakarta, etc.) – no separate regional arrival forms are needed

When to Apply Indonesia Arrival Card: How many days before?

Submit your digital form within 72 hours (3 days) before your scheduled arrival (official recommendation by Indonesian immigration/customs).

Submission is allowed until the day of landing, but completing it before departure (at home/airport lounge) avoids long queues and clearance delays at Indonesian entry points. QR codes are valid for your stated arrival date only – re-submit if your travel plans change.

✅ Must-Have: Trip.com eSIM for Indonesia

Stay connected instantly with Trip.com Indonesia eSIM – no physical SIM card needed, activate before departure, cover 4G/5G in Bali, Jakarta, Lombok and all major tourist areas.

✅ Other Practical Tips

  1. Save your arrival card QR code in 2 places (phone album + cloud/printed copy) – no phone = no entry.
  2. Ensure your passport has at least 6 months validity from arrival date (mandatory for all visitors).
  3. For Bali travelers: Pay the Bali Tourism Levy (IDR 150,000 ~USD 9.6) online before arrival (avoids airport queues).
  4. VOA/e-VOA travelers: Have proof of onward/return ticket and sufficient funds (min ~USD 1,500) for immigration check.
  5. Do not modify the QR code – tampering leads to entry rejection and immigration penalties.
  6. Complete the form per person – children/infants need their own entry card (linked to parent’s passport).

Hotels in Bali can be quite pricey, so I opted for this one, which offered great value for money, and I certainly wasn't disappointed! The environment is beautiful, with little squirrels scampering on the balcony in the mornings. It also has a swimming pool. The breakfast bread section was incredibly rich and varied; I could try a different kind every day, and the cooked items were excellent too. It was very comfortable for a relaxing holiday.

No matter what kind of traveler you are, this place is perfect for relaxation. From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel their thoughtful service. All the art and sculptures are truly inspiring. I highly recommend unwinding at the lowest pool — it’s incredibly relaxing to be surrounded by lush greenery next to a beautiful and clean pool. An amazing resort that has everything you need, with attentive and thoughtful service.

The hotel is quite large with a great environment, and the cleanliness and service are both good. However, the facilities are a bit old, and the lighting in the room is too dim. Additionally, the pool is a bit small, and Jimbaran beach was so incredibly dirty that we felt a bit bored by the second day.

”A hotel you want to return to!” The hotel is wonderful, but its true treasure is the people who work here. I want to sincerely thank Armaja and Eugenia! These employees are a perfect example of how guests should be treated. They show genuine care, always have a smile, and resolve any requests instantly. Thank you for your big hearts, responsiveness and efficiency! A special shout-out to the chefs: the food at the hotel is fantastic.

Exceeded all expectations! The hotel has a semi-open design, giving it a really chill and convenient vibe. There are so many famous Ubud restaurants and small shops nearby, and Pison is right next door. It's super easy to get to ATV tours, spas, and the zoo. The biggest surprise was when the handsome, braces-wearing guy at the hotel upgraded us to Alaya Suites, a new property just a few minutes walk from the original Alaya. The new hotel is fantastic, with exceptional service and delicious, freshly prepared breakfasts! We stayed at Potato Head, Anantara, and Bulgari during our trip to Bali, but considering the overall value for money, Alaya costs less than half and offers a unique experience. I would definitely stay at Alaya again next time I'm in Bali. Huge thanks to the hotel and staff for their warm hospitality.

It is 4 star hotel but the stay that I had was not up to that par. Our toilet seat has stain, and the shower room is smelly when we used the shower. The water spray is way too strong that we have to call them to fix on it. The sound proof is not good, you can hear people around you and the hotel staff did not come and warn them to lower the noise. They also didn’t have bell boy who can assist, probably work on shift hour.  Although I have a great service with them for room service, however the cleanlines and the noise experience that I had, made me not to come back to this hotel again.

As a five-star hotel, it's not perfect, but given the great price, it's acceptable. The beach is just a few steps from the hotel's pool, and it seems to be a public one, as there's a boardwalk along the entire waterfront, perfect for a stroll. There are plenty of lounge chairs by the sea, and the sand is nice. However, the beach isn't ideal for swimming, though you can still take a dip if you want to.

Kuta Bali|10.42km from city center
My first stop in Bali was Kuta, and this hotel was a great choice. It's super close to the airport, which is perfect for late-night arrivals. The hotel offers excellent value for money, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It's also conveniently located for getting around. If you enjoy walking, it's not a long stroll to Beachwalk, and you'll even pass through Jalan Legian, soaking in the local sights and culture along the way. The hotel does have a pool, but it's on the smaller side, and I didn't get a chance to use it. This isn't really a hotel for just lounging around; it's more suited for travelers who plan to be out exploring daily or those catching a flight, and who don't have super high expectations for their accommodation.

This hotel is located in a bustling area of Kuta, just over a ten-minute drive from the airport. The buildings are arranged around a spacious and beautiful courtyard with three pools, perfect for Western vacationers. The breakfast at the restaurant is good. The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms are enormous. The hotel offers a peaceful retreat despite being in a lively area, and the price is reasonable. The front desk and room service staff are proactive and friendly. There are numerous dining and shopping options right outside the hotel.

I initially booked Bintang Kuta Hotel for a few nights because of its proximity to Kuta Market and Kuta Beach. Since the stay turned out to be a pleasant experience, I decided to extend my stay for another three nights. The location is excellent—very close to the beach and right next to the Bintang Beach Resort. Guests also get access to the Bintang Beach Resort’s beachfront restaurant, which is a nice added benefit. The complimentary breakfast was quite good, with a wide variety of food options. However, it would be even better if there were more vegetarian choices available. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay, mainly due to the great location and overall experience.

1. Free airport pick-up! The driver was super proactive, greeting me and confirming my name, and even helped with my luggage into the car. (I'd read on Xiaohongshu about Bali's tipping culture, but the driver didn't hint at a tip at all, and I didn't offer one since I had no small change right after landing. I didn't pay any extra fees throughout my stay, full marks!) 2. The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities weren't outdated. (The outlets directly fit Chinese plugs, no adapter needed, though two-prong Chinese plugs were a bit loose and would fall out. Luckily, I brought a three-prong power strip, which worked perfectly – excellent!) 3. Dinner was delicious (it was à la carte from a menu). The stir-fried rice noodles were incredibly fragrant, even better than in China 😋. Breakfast was a buffet and also very tasty, full marks. 4. The hotel service was absolutely incredible, and this is the most important reason I'm giving this hotel full marks. The genuine warmth and hospitality, with absolutely no discrimination against Chinese guests, made for a fantastic experience. So comfortable! In summary, budget travelers can stay here with confidence – it's great value for money. If you only stay in luxury hotels, then don't come here to nitpick; you can't expect a premium experience for a few hundred bucks.

They are very friendly to Chinese guests! 3: The environment is beautiful and serene, nestled in the forest. We like the hotel location as it’s conveniently located on a street with many restaurants and cafes option. There’s also a convenience store opposite the hotel. I personally love the hotel service as they are really friendly and there was one day where I forgot to put out the housekeeping tag on the door. I WhatsApp the hotel to ask if they can still clean my room and they assured me that it will be cleaned. Communication was quick and efficient and I even got my laundry cleaned for a very cheap price. Hotel breakfast, although not much selection but is decent and we love the indomie station the most haha. I would definitely still choose to stay here the next time I’m back in Seminyak’

Started well at this nice hideaway. Very nice staff was a great plus. A lot of things were good with the pool and villa being cleaned etc but a broken bathtub, ants and a cockroach or two didn’t help. The staff helped when they could but were slow to reply via their QR code. The foot massages were amazing!🙂 Quite a bit away from central Ubud with a shuttle bus on hand running four or five times to relieve the burden of taxis or bikes as a way of transport. The breakfast wasn’t great. Didn’t take advantage of the 3 course meal included in our package, after the breakfast, so we thought they’d include a quesadilla and two drinks we bought on the first day instead, but unfortunately not. At the same time, with all the other issues above, we thought they would have. Overall, not worth the money paid.

The grounds and pools are like something out of a postcard. The restaurant is very pleasant and delicious. The breakfast, in particular, is excellent and varied. Our bungalow with a hot spring was generally nice, just a bit smaller than expected, and we're not fans of the mosquito nets, as they make it even more intrusive. Showering with a view of the stars was great, and above all, the water pressure was good, and the temperature stayed warm or cold. The resort is located in a small village, and transportation from the ferry can be comparatively expensive (200-400 IDR). There's no Grab or ATM nearby. Renting a scooter at the end of the street at the Warung Makan was easy (under 100.00 IDR per day), which gave us the flexibility to explore the beautiful area. We would have stayed there another night and thank the hotel for the wonderful stay, including a massage and delicious welcome drinks.

Check in was smooth. Staffs were friendly. Hotel is huge, they have 3 blocks. I got the far end of the block which was a little bit away from the reception and the restaurants and the open space for smoking. In 2 circumstances, i walked up to the room and the door card could not work. This happened in 2 different nights. I had to walk down and got it reset, but the staffs didnt bother to apologise for this. The first time it happened I was okay, but the second time it happened, I got pissed off, because it was a long walk from the room to the reception. If you order food delivery, it will be a long walk to take your food at the reception. If you got the rooms at the reception level, I'm sure it will be a great experience like the first time I was there in the Junior Suite, but this time it was not as pleasant. Thumbs up though for the housekeeping, as the found out I had many shirts lying on the sofa, they brought a small clothes rack and hung my shirts.

The hotel is a little dated, but the rooms are comfortable. Some amenities, such as hair dryers, were missing or not working. On the positive side, the location is great, the property is very clean, and we enjoyed the rooftop swimming pool. The hotel kindly offered us concessions for the in-house massage service, but unfortunately, they were fully booked and mentioned staff shortages. We also found it quite difficult to reach them—the provided phone number didn’t connect, even the receptionist couldn’t get through, and when we walked over directly, we still had no luck. We loved every moment and every corner of this place. The unique design with long stairways connecting the ground floor to the 15th-floor lobby is truly amazing—you really have to see it with your own eyes and try walking the stairs yourself. Breakfast is served in three different venues, giving you the freedom to choose the atmosphere you prefer each morning. The beach is quiet and very private, perfect for a relaxing getaway. We were lucky to receive a room upgrade to a pool-access room at the back of the property, which was an amazing surprise. Visiting in low season (January) is ideal—not too crowded, yet the hotel still feels lively. We also highly recommend Koral, the aquarium restaurant, and Bai Yan Chinese hotpot, which is excellent if you enjoy spicy food.

We are a family of two adults, kids aged 16, 12, 6, and 4. We enjoyed a great stay. Highlights were the kids pool foam party, the huge pool area and the rooms. Tips for those staying here: 1. Aim to get to breakfast before 8 am as it starts to fill up after then. 2. Noon your cabana early. They’re not expensive but don’t just book it for the sake of holding onto it. We weren’t able to use any during our stay as we were a bit slow off the mark to book one and there were some that remained unused but booked out. 3. The food is excellent. You cannot miss the chocolate hour. There is also a small shopping area nearby. For amenities and essentials you will need to walk down the road to one of the convenience stores. 4. Make sure the kids see the bird display that sometime appears near the pool. These are parrots brought in by one of the local bird sanctuaries. There was the opportunity to have a photo with these birds. There was also an afternoon reptile display (boa constrictors, geckos etc) near the shopping area next to the hotel. 5. Download and use the Grab app. It’s like Uber for SE Asia.

Andaz Bali is truely brining us into a distinct and relaxing area, where we enjoyed so much the staff hospitality, restaurant food quality, hotel plentiful activities, Balinese room style and cleanliness. In particular, I loved their WhatsApp room service communications which give instant responses and never disturb your privacy. Pls… never miss their breakfast, Ala ca all you can eat… it just worth spending everyday morning enjoying the half outdoor time.

Kuta Bali|8.5km from city center
The hotel is surrounded by the Kuta commercial area, with lots of shopping malls and restaurants nearby! If you're driving, I wouldn't recommend staying here because the road to the hotel is very narrow, unless you're an experienced driver! The hotel facilities are excellent, and the breakfast offers a great variety! Thumbs up! 👍

Nice views from the rooms when it wasn't hazy from the humidity outside. The surrounding grounds of the gold course were also nice and lush. It was a quiet place to stay. Large rooms. Large bathroom. Didnt like that the design of the bathroom door though which slid across to open and that was then cupboard door. When the bathroom door was closed there is a light that come on automatically in the cupboard. So as the door did not close all the way the light stayed on all night so it was never quite dark enough in the room at night. Also I didnt like having the bathroom door open at night. If you went to the toilet and closed the door the cupboard light lit up the room. The facilities were pretty old and there was a stale smell in the dining room/restaurant when you enter. It was so cold in the room, there were droplets of water dropping down onto the tables from the a/c vents. The pool lounges had mould on them so you had to make sure you were sitting on your towel. Its pretty for from anything so you had a long car ride in the traffic to get anywhere, I wouldn't stay there again.

The Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, generally has a wonderful ambiance, but this 'Reserve' experience left us with some regrets due to the following: 1. **Discriminatory Welcome:** During check-in, the management only greeted and chatted with the Caucasian guests next to us, while we were left waiting. Compared to the Capella, where the General Manager personally greets every guest, this difference made us feel undervalued. 2. **Incorrect Room Type:** We booked a Rice Paddy Pool Villa, but were assigned a room with no view. When we requested a change, we were told the hotel was fully booked, and we were only compensated with an extra bed afterward. Paying over ten thousand for a room, the unparalleled view was precisely what we were after, so this mistake is truly inexcusable. On a positive note, every single frontline staff member was incredibly warm and welcoming, smiling and offering service that's beyond words. **In summary:** Because of this exceptional service, we would still choose to return in the future. However, we sincerely hope that next time, the welcoming ceremony treats all guests equally.
