I stayed at Storchen Zürich during a solo business trip and was truly impressed. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of Zürich, yet peaceful with beautiful views over the Limmat River. The room was elegant, quiet, and very comfortable — perfect for relaxing after meetings. The high-speed Wi-Fi and thoughtful amenities made working from the room effortless. Service was outstanding from start to finish. The staff were attentive, professional, and always ready to help with directions or local recommendations. Breakfast by the river was a wonderful way to start each day — fresh, beautifully presented, and in a serene setting. Overall, Storchen Zürich combines classic Swiss charm with modern comfort. If you're looking for a truly exceptional experience in Zurich, look no further than the Hotel Alden. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. We were hoping to visit the Lindt Chocolate Factory, only to find it completely sold out. The concierge team, however, worked their magic and managed to secure us tickets! That alone would have been enough to earn a glowing review. But they took it even further by upgrading us to a suite so enormous that we literally made a ”Cribs”-style video about it! We were absolutely blown away by the size and luxury. Beyond the impressive suite and the chocolate factory miracle, the hotel itself is stunning and perfectly located. But it's the dedication and attentiveness of the staff that truly sets this place apart. They anticipate your needs before you even express them. If you want a hotel that will exceed your expectations and create lasting memories, book your stay at the Hotel Alden Splugenschloss Leonardo Edition. You won't regret it!From€541

Taking tram 3 from Zurich main station, the hotel is a straightforward 8-10 minute walk from the stop, so the location is great and not hard to find. The hotel room was very clean and well-equipped. I’ve stayed at Hotel Limmathof twice, both for one-night stays in Zurich, and each time it has been a solid, reliable choice — mainly thanks to its excellent location and reasonable price.
The hotel is just a short walk from Zurich’s main train station, which makes it incredibly convenient if you’re arriving late, leaving early, or using the city as part of a longer itinerary. You can be at the station in minutes, and it’s also within easy walking distance of the Old Town, shops, and restaurants, so it works well as a base for exploring.
On both stays, I had a single room, which was fairly basic but clean and functional. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it provides everything you need for a comfortable night’s sleep. For short stays, especially when you’re spending most of your time out in the city, it’s perfectly adequate.
What makes this hotel stand out is the value for money. Zurich can be an expensive city, and finding somewhere central at a reasonable price is not always easy. Hotel Limmathof strikes a good balance between cost and convenience, which is why I’ve chosen to stay there more than once.
I would recommend Hotel Limmathof to anyone looking for a simple, affordable place to stay in Zurich with an excellent central location. It’s ideal for short visits where practicality and value are the priority.From€160

The hotel is very close to Zurich Main Station, just a 3-minute walk away. The exterior is quite nice, and it even has a Swiss flag.
Facilities: It's an older hotel, so the facilities are a bit dated, but they are well-maintained. The decor in the hallways is quite stylish.
Hygiene: Overall, the cleanliness was pretty good.
Environment: The train station is just a short walk across the street. There's a McDonald's nearby for breakfast and a Coop supermarket also very close.
Service: There was a chocolate left on the bedside table. The front desk staff were quite welcoming and spoke excellent English when I checked out and stored my luggage.From€237

Langstrasse Zurich|1.28km from city center
The hotel is a bit of a walk from Zurich Central Station, about 15 minutes on foot. Alternatively, you can take the tram from Bahnhofstrasse, which is about three stops away. I booked a single room, so it was on the smaller side. It's a non-smoking hotel, which meant I, as a smoker, had to go to the small garden behind the lobby to smoke. Because of this, I got to know the front desk staff quite well, and they were all super friendly. The manager, who is from Nepal, even offered me coffee for several days, which was really nice! There's a fantastic Thai restaurant nearby, run by Thais, and the food is delicious – very much to a Chinese palate! It practically became my daily canteen. As for prices, well, everyone knows how expensive Switzerland is. It was about 30 Swiss francs per person, but that's actually quite affordable for Zurich. I'll definitely be booking here again on my next business trip to Zurich!From€114

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Swiss National Museum, and within walking distance of ETH Zurich, making it convenient to get anywhere. We arrived in Zurich from Interlaken earlier than scheduled, and the front desk kindly arranged a room for us before the official check-in time, which we greatly appreciated. The bar on the ground floor is very popular, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of dried fruits. There was a bottle of drinking water in the room, but we had to contact customer service to get slippers. Unfortunately, outside our window was a construction site with a building under construction, causing a lot of noise.From€301

The Adler is an excellent choice hotel in the heart of Old Zürich. As a global business traveller, I have stayed in over 100 hotels. This hotel offers the perfect location to see Zürich with a short 10 min walk from Zürich HB🚄 Train Station. The single room is sufficient, clean and well stocked with a kettle, coffee, tea, slippers and a gift cloth shopping bag. If you need extra complimentary beverages they are stocked in the fridge on the 1st floor stairwell. Checkin was fast, and you can pre-checkin on your email link. At the time of writing this, there was some city construction of the surrounding streets due to underground work. Hopefully this will be completed by early spring. Should your shoes get a little dirty, there is a shoe shine machine on the 2nd stairwell. The breakfast is a healthy Swiss style breakfast of fresh bread, croissants🥐, yogurts, fresh warm boiled eggs, cold cuts, smoked salmon❤️ , cheese, cereals, lots of fruits, milk, juice and an excellent coffee machine for the perfect creama coffee☕.
I had the opportunity to have cheese fondue in their restaurant and let me tell you, it is fantastic! Thank you and see you again! Regards from 🇨🇦 BFrom€171

Hotel is a 10 min walk from the bus station which connects to the train from the airport. The same bus station that takes to the central train station. It costs about 12CHF to 18CHF to or from train station. Hotel provides free rental bicycles which is very convenient. Facilities are OK. Room size is reasonable.
Be aware that the uncovered glass of the shower may not suitable for all if privacy is important. The room we stayed were extremely hot. While it is only 14°-18° outside, the room temperature is definitely 30°+. It made hard to wear the proper clothing to fit the temperature for the day. No aircon, the only way to cool the room down is to open the side window which leaves no wall from the room to outside of the building. Yes, the only barrier are a couple of metal bars between the desk against the window to outside the building from our ninth floor room. Plus the window can closed by itself, you need to reopen it multiple times if you want the cooler air for a little longer. It’s hard for a hot night sleep.
Breakfast is good and has good variety of the food and drinks. It costs 24CHF p.p. if it is pre-ordered.
If stays in the same room, no, it is not recommended to stay here. It may have other rooms that are not as hot as the one we stayed.From€124

This kind of old-fashioned absolute landscape hotel is actually not an ideal place to enjoy the services of a five-star hotel. Because the hotel's service attitude varies from person to person, it feels very uncomfortable and shows their unprofessionalism and lack of empathy for earthlings, which is a pity! The so-called civilization and quality reveal many narrow local cultures in them. This is very out of line with Switzerland - the seat of the United Nations! Not neutral either!From€1,051

The Four Seasons Hotel, which is located on the shore of Lake Geneva and is expensive for three nights, except for the small size of the room, the decoration has not been able to keep up. But the service is as outstanding as other Four Seasons hotels, from doormen, security guards to concierge services, front desk reception...all of them are hospitable and humble. The money is for service, location, and brand confidence. If this is not a concern... then it can be said that the rooms in this hotel are not worth living in. Regular rooms, superior rooms, and deluxe rooms are really too small, or the decoration is too old.From€1,370

I booked this hotel on the day I arrived in Geneva. The Ritz-Carlton next door had gone up to 9000, the Four Seasons to 12000, and the Mandarin Oriental to 12000. Not wanting to run into acquaintances, I booked this one for 6400 a night. The location is right on the shore of Lake Geneva, on the same street as the other three hotels, but it's a little off the edge. The view from the small balcony of the semi-lake view room in the picture below clearly shows it's near the dock ⛵️, but at the end is a city park, perfect for a morning run and taking pictures of the morning scenery. The front desk staff were very patient and enthusiastic, with a really good attitude. Because the hotel was already full that day, I was given a slightly higher room 😊. Of course, I'm also a lady, and they were all smiles during our conversation, so attitude really is mutual. Upon check-in, the front desk also mentioned there was a Chinese restaurant on the hotel's lower level. I didn't have time to try it because a friend recommended Hongyun Restaurant, which had a good environment and reasonable prices, so I ate there first. Back to the hotel room, it wasn't large, but apart from the hotel elevator, the whole experience from the lobby to the room was that of a standard 5-star hotel.9.6/10Amazing61 Reviews

I brought my five-year-old child to Geneva for the weekend. I chose this hotel next to Lake Geneva. There are rows of hotels along the lake. The location of the hotel is very good. You can take a walk when you go out. Let me talk about the hotel experience. It is very good. The service starts from the moment you enter because it has been upgraded. Therefore, you need to wait ten minutes in the lobby for a room. During these ten minutes, the hotel served champagne, coffee, orange juice, and chocolate. Although the hotel is small, it is exquisite and clean. I had dinner in the windows restaurant on the first floor in the evening and breakfast in the same restaurant the next day. You can order from the menu. There are not many existing restaurants. You need to order extra. Mainly in the buffet. There is no extra charge. The environment is very good. I stayed at Hotel Suisse Geneva during my time in Geneva, and the standout feature of this hotel is its location. It is literally right across the road from the main train station, which makes it incredibly convenient whether you’re arriving by rail, heading to the airport, or planning day trips.
Being so close to the station also means excellent public transport connections, but what I found even more useful is that most of Geneva’s main sights are within easy walking distance. You can comfortably reach the lake, the Old Town, shops, and restaurants without needing to rely on transport, which makes exploring the city simple and efficient.
The hotel itself is comfortable and practical, with clean rooms and everything you need for a short city stay. It’s not overly luxurious, but it’s well maintained and does the job perfectly if you’re planning to spend most of your time out exploring Geneva.
Because of its central location, it’s a great choice for both short stays and stopovers. It also works particularly well if you have an early train or a tight schedule, as you don’t need to factor in extra travel time to get to the station.
I would highly recommend Hotel Suisse Geneva for anyone prioritising convenience and location. If you want to be right in the centre of everything with excellent transport links, it’s a very practical and reliable choice.From€132

You can ask the hotel for a transportation card, and you can take the bus for free, which is very close to various places. It is not new, but it is generally clean and tidy. The bathroom is very clean, and the toiletries are Clarins. The room facilities are really simple, just a coffee machine and cups, and the refrigerator is still not turned on and is empty. The chocolate and candy sent by the hotel are not bad.
The girl and boy at the front desk are very indifferent and their faces are more smelly than yellingFrom€111

This is my second time staying here. The last time was in 2018. The room is not big, but it has everything it should have. I booked two rooms and asked for connecting rooms, which were given to me. They are very good. There are two double beds, one is 2 meters and the other is 1.8 meters. It is spacious for three big and two small. It is cost-effective. Although it is not on the first line of the lake, it is a 2-minute walk from the lake. You can find free bus tickets at the hotel front desk. Although I didn't encounter anyone checking tickets on the bus barge for two or three days, it is still safer to get one just in case.From€246
