Dear Mr. Nakamura,
I would like to take a moment to commend your front desk staff member, AWO, for her excellent service during our stay at Courtyard Marriott Hakuba.
From check-in to check-out, she was consistently helpful and professional. In particular, she assisted us with booking a bus and later arranging a taxi, always handling our requests with efficiency and a warm attitude. Her support made our stay smooth and enjoyable.
Please kindly pass on my appreciation to AWO. Thank you and your team for the wonderful hospitality.From$293

Lovely hotel in the middle of Hakuba. Location is a little secluded and without a car, it takes some effort to get to the city or around. We were happy to stay and chill at the hotel though. Opted for half board (Dinner provided) Super convenient with the ski rental on site, and shuttle buses to ski resorts provided.
Onsen: newly refurbished and amazing!
Breakfast and Dinner : was pleasantly surprised by the dinner provided it was a 6 course dinner Jap-French inspired. Had lovely meals every evening.
In house ski rental : it’s good that there is one onsite. However the service was less than desirable.
Rented a snowboard and requested for regular stance, the young guy provided a goofy stance set up.
I only noticed the next day, after bringing it back - and the same young guy was not at the shop. Approached the concierge where the staff then very impatient and frustratingly fixed it for me..
Transport to the ski resort: asked the staff to help book us a taxi to get to Nagano station when we were leaving the next day. Their taxi company was full so they said they couldn’t do anything. We then asked for alternatives, the concierge suggested a shuttle bus to Nagano station, but shortly after said it was not possible as the hotel shuttle didn’t start that early. The staff just seemed abit unwilling to help, and also unclear about how guests leave the hotel. To future travellers; Prepare beforehand - book a taxi / bus in advance and don’t expect the hotel to helpFrom$119

What an awesome experience! The hotel offered exemplary service before we even arrived. Due to special travel arrangements, we arrived late and the staff quick to arrange an in-room bento dinner for us before our arrival. When we got there, we were immediately blown away by the gorgeousness of the hotel.
Despite its age, everything was very clean and polished. I can see that great care had been taken to upkeep the hotel and it’s premises, which are extraordinarily beautiful. We couldn’t resist taking pictures even after check-out, and it took us an hour to finally reluctantly leave. Words cannot actually do the place justice, you must visit there yourself.
We were very impressed with how delicious the food was, and the attention to detail, including the placement of the food, the coordination of food color. My mouth is still watering as I recall how delicious it was. I had 10 helpings of their prime rib one day. Besides, I had a dietary restriction and the staff were really careful with that, to the extent of reminding me what dishes not to eat everyday at their breakfast and dinner buffet.
In addition to excellent food and service, the hotel went out of its way to be very eco-friendly. For every day that we did not need our room to be tidied, we earned points, which can be traded in for ice cream or other goodies.
Finally, the staff spoke perfect English. This is rare indeed, and it made everything so much easier and so much more enjoyable. Thanks for the experience!From$103

The room looks more stylish, but the bathroom is small and smelly... The design of the suite is also strange. You don't need to take off your shoes in the bedroom, but you have to take them off in the living room... The service is really good, and you can pick up and drop off the ski resort at any time! The restaurant is French, you can eat light meals, and the food is pretty good!From$293

Hakuba|4.04km from city center
The hotel's dining is definitely a highlight, especially dinner, which rivals some Michelin-starred restaurants, featuring a generous use of local ingredients. The afternoon tea popcorn and jam cheese were also delicious, and there's a free flow of red wine, white wine, sake, and various teas.
I also recommend booking the silk bath early; having it to myself for nearly an hour was fantastic.
The hotel's location is also good, not far from Mu Pond Ski Resort, making transportation convenient.
What's worth complaining about is the service, which was genuinely subpar. There aren't many English-speaking staff, and communicating with some of the older female front desk staff felt difficult. Plus, the rooms aren't properly cleaned; the toilet and vanity aren't wiped down. They just make the bed and change some towels.
The hotel is a little old, and the facilities are just okay.From$159

The hotel is located on a hillside behind Hakuba Station. It takes about 15 minutes to walk one kilometer through the fields, which is very convenient (it seems that you can also contact the front desk to have someone pick you up). The hotel's dinner is a buffet, with all-you-can-eat sashimi and sushi, and you can enjoy the snow-capped mountain scenery from the restaurant window. Hotel guests can soak in the open-air hot spring for free. The open-air hot spring faces the snow-capped mountains. The experience is very good. There is ice water in the refrigerator in the room, which is not very considerate. The hotel has a sense of history and has many works of art. It is definitely a treasure hotel in Hakuba Village. There are several scheduled shuttle buses every day at the hotel entrance to the surrounding scenic spots, and it is also very close to Ode Park. I will stay here again next time I come to Baima Village!SOLD OUT

An older-style hotel, but very clean. It has separate onsens for men and women. Breakfast is served as individual sets. The hotel also has a dinner restaurant, which is convenient because going out to eat without a car isn't easy. The futon-style bedding was comfortable and warm. The bathroom was a bit small. It snowed while I was there, and it was beautiful because the hotel is located in the mountains.From$78

The room should be considered large in Baima Village. It is very comfortable for a family to live in. The overall style is very retro. It can be seen that the traditional style is deliberately retained. The breakfast is simple. The only inconvenient thing is that you have to climb stairs. There is no elevator. The guest room is on the second floor. On the first floor, the front desk took the initiative to help carry luggage. The snowboards were stored in a drying room similar to the basement, so it was inconvenient to carry the snowboards.From$185

The breakfast is very good and dinner can also be settled at the hotel. With the child 7 years old, you can live in the twin room, but the site has added extra money. When you place the order, you can't say clearly that you want to add it. It is very dissatisfied. In addition, I don't know if I have already deducted a previous fee for the previous order. The site paid the full amount anyway, and the credit card bill came out and checked. The location of the hotel is on the edge of the village, but the village is not big, but instead it is close to the high road, and it is very quick to go out from a road in the snow. The spa bathroom is very comfortable with large pools and outdoor pools. Ski can be placed in the basement, snowshoes, coin-operated clothes.SOLD OUT

We made an overnight bus from Nagoya to Hakuba Happo. The hotel was about 10 minutes away from the station, but it was only 3 minutes away from the shuttle bus station to the snow park, which was quite close! The exterior of the hotel looks a bit old, but the interior is well maintained, and the service candidates are enthusiastic and enthusiastic from beginning to end. Although some staff members are not very good at English, they will always ask others for help, so there is no major problem in communication. The basement is a ski warehouse, which is convenient for storage. According to Japanese tradition, the hotel has prepared different slippers in the basement, lobby, dressing room, large bath, and even the shower room in the guest room, which is really meticulous at home. The guest rooms and the large lounge on the first floor are lined with tatami mats and sleep comfortably on the ground because the air conditioning is powerful. The hotel's meals are exquisite. Although there is no Chinese food, the sense of ceremony is still strong. I checked in with two fairy biscuits in the room. They were super delicious, so we bought a lot at the front desk and got discounts. We were very happy. The large bath has two large pools, indoor and outdoor, as well as a traditional sitting bath. The water is a natural hot spring, which is very good. Finally, we returned to Nagoya by JR, and the hotel took us to the hotel for free. The whole process was perfect.SOLD OUT

I initially considered booking another hotel, but reviews suggested the dinners were all Western food and of mediocre quality. However, I stumbled upon Hotel Hakuba, and reviews praised its excellent breakfasts and dinners. Since we were staying in Hakuba for five nights, good food was crucial for us. I'm so glad I chose Hotel Hakuba. All the staff were incredibly welcoming, and there was a free shuttle service from the JR station. The hotel lounge area was beautifully decorated with flowers. The rooms were much larger than they appeared in the pictures. Dinner was incredibly lavish and delicious, and breakfast had a wide variety of options. There were free shuttle buses to all the tourist attractions. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful scenery and is close to the JR station, Oide Park, and Snow Peak. Going skiing in December The Wulong Pavilion is a good choice. It is very close to the Happo ski resort. If the rental equipment staff will pick you up and pick up the cable car station in the morning, the hotel will also have a special car to pick up the service. The days of heavy snowfall are really good. On the ground floor of the hotel, each room has a box for storing ski equipment. It is also very convenient, and there is also a laundry dryer. The hot spring feels slightly ordinary, but there are also outdoor soups, and the water temperature is not hot enough. The basic varieties of breakfast are available, and dinner is average. On the photo in the booking system the room looked much more beautiful than it was in reality, so the first impression is disappointment. We booked a two-bedroom room. The cost of staying was about $200 a day for two. In our view, this room is expensive. The room is very tired.
Administrator Joanne is friendly, ready to help and answer questions.
We were provided with a free transfer from the bus station to the hotel and back. In general, the driver of the hotel always took someone somewhere. To the nearest lift and restaurants probably.
We have not used the hotel to lift. A forest path can be reached in about 5 minutes to the ski slope of the Happo one resort.
The free shuttle to the lifts of the Hakuba 48 and Gory resorts is very close.

The front desk service is excellent, very polite and thoughtful, kind and patient, and will patiently explain the conditions of the ski resort.
The food is very good. There are many kinds of breakfast food. The soup is different every day. Dinner is added when you check in. There are rice, beef hot pot, and pig hot pot to choose from. All three taste first-class.
The room is clean and well-organized, and the space is spacious. If you need towels, disinfectants, or paper towels, you can ask at the front desk and they will replace them immediately.
The location is convenient, there is a ski equipment rental shop nearby, and the ski resort is only a few minutes' walk away. There is a place to store ski equipment in the hotel, which can be reached through the other main entrance. (But it’s a 30-minute walk from the nearest 7-11)

The hotel is very welcoming and the lobby is very comfortable, like staying in a villa with a big TV in it, you can watch all kinds of programs. Every day, the clerk will register the time for breakfast on the second day and provide breakfast on time on the second day. The owner is Chinese and is very nice. He can pick up and drop off tickets, and can also help to book discount snow tickets, rent skis, and skis can be stored in the store on the first floor of the hotel. Take them out in the car every morning and go directly to the snow. The hotel is next to the hotel's snow field shuttle meteor garden station, and there is also a 711 convenience store, which is within 3 kilometers from the Happa47 and Hakuba47 snow fields, which is very convenient. The hotel has a small restaurant and a bar counter, where a few friends can have a drink and chat in the evening. When you get here, you feel like you are really on a ski holiday. Although the rooms of the hotel are small in size, the overall facilities are complete and warm, and the floors and stairs are also wooden floors. I will stay at this hotel next time I come to ski. Recommended for friends who like skiing. Take the train and get off at Iimori Station, very close to the hotel, 1.8 km.SOLD OUT

The room is not small for Japan, it is clean and the view outside the window is beautiful. The service is friendly and there is a semi-open-air private hot spring. Although there is no scenery, it is still very comfortable to take a bath after skiing. The restaurant and bar are both very nice. I met the owner and had a pleasant half-day, half-English chat with him. The owner also treated me to many drinks. The only downside is that there is no elevator, which makes it a little troublesome to move luggage. If you want to eat at the restaurant, remember to make a reservation one day in advance.From$172

The old house converted into a hotel
The price is moderate. It is a bit far from the scenic spot, suitable for self-driving tour.
There is no good brunch nearby, Fortunately, the hotel provides a simple breakfast.
There is a big restaurant 2 minutes away by foot, It is only open at night, and it is a good Japanese restaurant.
Features hot stone facilities. The bathroom in the room is relatively simple, and the public bathing place has to go to the annex a few buildings away.

The price of the snow season is quite expensive. The big bed room is 5000+, and the Gaza hair bed is more than 300. This hotel is marked with four stars, but the Google search is marked with Samsung. Not run by locals in Japan, the sanitary environment is really average, the big bathing venue is sticky, there are floating hair in the pool, and the towels are thrown everywhere. The carpet used in the room, but the vacuum is not thorough, and the dust allergy has to wear a mask, and the purifier can be comfortable. Breakfast is all European, there is no Japanese soup or the like, cold food. I wanted to use a dryer, but as soon as I entered the socks, the dryer was full of black hair. The pick-up day was also promised 15 minutes, but I waited for 30 minutes. I called again and said that there were other things on the road. Not recommended, if you want to come to Baima, it is recommended to book other hotels.From$413

To future travellers; Prepare beforehand - book a taxi / bus in advance and don’t expect the hotel to help

It was a very comfortable stay. The room was especially clean, the staff were attentive, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. It was only a one-night stay, but it was a great experience, especially when combined with the various experiences I had in Hakuba. The only thing I noticed was that the shower water made a big mess on the bathroom floor, even though it was a twin room. If I have the chance to return, I'd like to have dinner there as well.

The accommodation is not far from a famous ski resort, about 5 km by car. It's a community-style hotel with bunk beds in the rooms. There's convenient parking. Overall, it's okay, the only drawback being that the rooms might be a little small.

This guesthouse might not be luxurious, but it's incredibly clean and tidy. It meets the basic needs of skiers, offering a drying room and laundry facilities (washer and dryer) at a reasonable cost. It's conveniently located, just a 5-7 minute walk from Hakuba Goryu, making it easy to transfer at Escal Plaza for the Hakuba Valley Shuttle to other ski resorts. Plus, it's handy for visiting the hot springs at Escal Plaza. It's very friendly for skiers without a car. The price is fair and reasonable; there were no special price hikes even during Chinese New Year. A special mention goes to the staff, who are friendly and welcoming, always trying their best to assist guests of different nationalities. The only slight drawback is the soundproofing isn't great (though I believe this is a common issue with guesthouses in Japan).

The hotel is a little old, and the facilities are just okay.

This trip to White Horse stayed in three hotels, run by Japanese, and European and American. This home is the most satisfying.
First of all, the hotel chosen by the Japanese in Hakuba must be better than the Europeans. No matter the cleanliness of the hotel or the enthusiasm of the boss.
This old Japanese couple has been running a homestay for over 30 years.
At first glance, the boss has accumulated many years. The homestay occupies two single-family villas, and the boss owns a bus! The two of us sat on the exclusive bus to enjoy the pick-up and drop-off service. My chin was frightened. I never came to Baima to see the hotel's own bus.
The location is great. Five minutes walk from base camp, one of Hakuba's core bus stops. If you go to Wuxi 47, it will be more convenient.
Besides the room. It is very large and has its own separate toilet (including bathroom), which is not available in many Japanese-style hotels. The only shortcoming of the room was the two of us, but there were only two single beds and no large bed. A new family room was given to us when I checked in. It was also three single beds, so maybe there is no double room?
The room we booked did not include meals. The breakfast was 600 yen per person. We thought it was not expensive and we tried it. Em, there was only one slice of toast and unlimited coffee milk cereal, which was too monotonous and not worth trying. It is better to go out a few hundred meters to buy breakfast near base camp.
Finally the owner is very enthusiastic (this is the advantage of all Japanese homestays). There are local apples for sale at the front desk. The price of 100 is a conscience. I stayed for 3 nights and ate 5 apples. It was very sweet.
