I just want to ask, does adding room preferences in the app beforehand even matter? I had already requested a high-floor and quiet room in the app well in advance. I went to the front desk to check in around 12 PM, and the receptionist told me there were no available rooms yet, only a third-floor room that would be ready after housekeeping finished cleaning. So, I contacted customer service to coordinate with the hotel, and after waiting for nearly two hours, I finally got checked into a room on the seventh floor. I didn't arrive in the morning; checking in around noon should be a pretty reasonable time. Is it really acceptable to have to wait that long to get my room key?

The hotel's Spring Festival decorations seemed to block the main vehicle access, causing inconvenience for entering and exiting. If management truly considered the guest experience, they would at least choose times with less traffic for such arrangements. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, but there are few supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The reservations department showed a complete lack of awareness regarding their own issues (according to a self-proclaimed assistant department manager). When handling a lost guest request, they demonstrated a basic lack of service consciousness. On the other hand, the front desk staff were very proactive, responsible, and helpful, actively assisting guests with late check-out and document printing.

I initially booked for one night, then extended my stay for two more nights. The hotel's location is superb, with a clear view of Gulangyu Island directly across. Just a 600-meter walk behind the hotel leads you to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. It's also super close to Xiamen University and Dongdu Ferry Terminal. Definitely worth staying! A special thanks to Bella at the hotel's buffet restaurant for their thoughtful and meticulous service. Highly recommended!

The location is fantastic! Xiamen is divided into island and non-island areas, and the island has a lot more food options. This area is non-island, so many food deliveries have to come from there. If you're looking for late-night beer delivery, it might be a bit of a trek. But the location is great because it's right by the sea. I just woke up and went straight to the beach, it's just across the road. We caught crabs and small shrimp, it was so much fun!

We had a 2 night stay at the Tegoo Hotel. We didn't expect much from the hotel, but honestly we were surprised by many little things that were well thought of by all the service staff. 1) The doorman was so helpful 2) During our arrival; they were kind enough to upgrade our room. 3) 4 bottles of water were provided in the room 4) The room was big and clean 5) Everyday we get our greetings from the chamber maid/supervisor, front desk, and doorman etc 6) The bathrobe and towels was nearly packed in a plastic bag. This was very thoughtful. 7) Due to the fact that I have an injured right arm, so I didn't button up fully; you know what, the doorman came up to me and put on the last button for me and tidied up my dressing before I boarded a taxi. (Heading to the airport) This happened right in front of the main lobby. I was taken back, but it really touched my heart. I forgot to take down his name. I felt so sorry, it was my mistake. Lastly I hope the hotel management can commemorate the doorman. ( The event happened on 11th March 2026 at around 1020hrs.) Lastly I thank all the Tegoo Hotel Staff for your good work. If I happen to visit Xiamen again, I will definitely choose you guys. Good job!

The hotel's facilities, breakfast, staff service, ambiance, and location are all exceptionally good. The butler service was very thoughtful and attentive. During the New Year's Day holiday, the hotel was mostly full of families with children, so it was quite noisy at night (the kind of noise that even good soundproofing couldn't block). As a light sleeper, I couldn't handle it, so the butler helped me move to the quieter Water Garden area, which I really liked. Because I couldn't sleep well, my chronic stomach issues flared up, and I couldn't eat anything, everything looked heavy and greasy. I just wanted something light. That evening, the butler thoughtfully arranged for some warm, soft-boiled plain congee and side dishes to be delivered to my room, which was truly a lifesaver.

We were transiting in Xiamen on our way back from Singapore, and specifically chose a beachfront hotel so our child could enjoy the sea. We received a complimentary upgrade to a sea-view room, and the environment was fantastic. The beach is just across the road, and our child had a wonderful time playing in the sea. The hotel also boasts several swimming pools, where our child happily splashed around for ages. Breakfast officially begins at 6:30 AM, but guests can actually enter from 6:20 AM. Although not all dishes were ready as they were still setting up, this early access was incredibly convenient for us as we had an early flight. We completely forgot about the complimentary afternoon tea offered by the hotel, and unfortunately, the staff didn't remind us, so we missed out on it.

This is a very nice hotel, clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff. The weekend dinner buffet was beyond our expectations especially for that price, it’s a must try thing if you stay at Renaissance. Can say the same about the breakfast, however the coffee could be improved. The only disadvantages could be the location (it’s a little far from all fun places and the beach in front of the hotel doesn’t look attractive for swimming, so it’s only good if you have a sea view room) and the swimming pool is quite shallow (1.2m depth) and small (it’s way overcrowded on the weekend in particular, full of kids yelling, splashing and approaching you if you are a foreigner and screaming HELLO HELLO HOW ARE YOU which is quite annoying). Another swimming pool isn’t a pool at all as it’s probably 0.9m depth and the other one is closed and only available for those who book the room with the direct access to the pool. If we knew it before, maybe we’d consider staying in another hotel. Anyway, we appreciate friendly hospitality and a late check out. It was a good stay overall.

Aside from one security guard who seemed a bit impatient and irritable, all the other staff members were incredibly gentle and thoughtful. Overall, it was a pleasant trip. The surrounding area also has convenient transportation, and Didi rides arrived quickly. However, several Didi drivers I encountered in Xiamen were truly aggressive, swore a lot, and grumbled the whole way, complaining about the rides they were assigned – it was really unpleasant to listen to.

I returned to the Hyatt Regency Wuyuan Bay after half a year and booked a suite again. The front desk lady was very enthusiastic and arranged for me to stay in the same room as last time. I tend to be quite consistent in my preferences. Although it's a small detail, I still want to commend the front desk for their meticulous service. The room environment was as good as ever, very clean, and met five-star hotel standards. Room service was prompt, the suite was spacious, and the bedding was comfortable. I'm very satisfied. I'll definitely choose the Hyatt Regency Wuyuan Bay again on my next trip to Xiamen.

This is a standard chain hotel with a large parking lot and convenient airport shuttle service. We arrived around 7 PM on the fifth day of the ***** New Year and the hotel was fully booked. The only minor drawback was a bit of street noise, but it wasn't disruptive enough to affect our sleep; overall, it was quite comfortable. However, for travelers with flights the next day, it's very convenient for airport access. Nearby, there's Qingshui Temple where you can photograph planes taking off, and there are many other temples in the area, all exquisitely unique and full of Southern Fujian (Min-Nan) character.
