The location is 2 minutes away from the central station of Berlin. The room is newly decorated and facilities are nice.
It’s worth to notice that the door should be double locked during the stay when at the room and don’t leave important items while out of room. Since it’s happened that someone tried to open door without any notice and knocking the door. The unknown person left quickly after the door is unable to open with the double lock.From$122

We arrived to a friendly welcome at this lovely hotel . Excellent room, well appointed with a modern ensuite bathroom . Breakfast was a well laid out buffet with plenty of choice . Staff were once again very friendly and courteous with pots of tea or coffee served at the table . The hotel was well placed for sightseeing Berlin and we would thoroughly recommend it if that is the purpose of your visit . The foyer has a unique and fascinating light display which is a lovely feature to watch in the evening with a quiet drink . We understand that there is a pool and gym facility but unfortunately we didn't have time to visit that section of the hotel during our three night stay .From$136

The location of Hilton Berlin is fantastic and the exterior of the hotel plus the lobby is very beautiful. Very walkable location with many surrounding dining and sightseeing options. Overall, housekeeping was good. The rooms run fairly small and look dated, so value for money is not that great. Bathroom is clean but not very well-maintained, especially the toilet. The check-in concierge staff were ok but I would expect friendlier and more proactive service for the price we were paying and being a diamond member as well. The staff who was a blonde lady with glasses checked me in and out and was the friendliest staff i encountered during my stay. Rarely did the other staff smile or greet us when we walked past them and they generally did not have great customer service skills, and generally just unfriendly. The front door concierge and door staff were much friendlier and greeted us more than the check-in staff. I also had a very terrible experience with the night security staff when my friend and I came back to the hotel around 6 am after a night out. We walked in and were stopped by a man who was not wearing any uniform, or any attire to signal he was working at the Hilton, and in regular clothes, he was a bit hard to understand because he had a thick accent, and I thought he might be another patron at the hotel or a taxi driver, so I politely smiled at him and said “no thank you” and walked towards the elevator. He got extremely angry, began shouting at me, and said he was a worker there and showed me his keys with a Hilton keychain. He wanted to verify that we had a room key. While we were taking out the key, he was calling me rude and dismissive and that I was a terrible person. It was so jarring because there was no need to be that rude, he was acting like I shooed him away when I’m reality it was a miscommunication. He then went into the back of the concierge to complain about me loudly, didn’t even wait till I was out of earshot. It was hard to identify him as a staff, much less security, and I didn’t need to be scolded like a child. Overall, very unprofessional and made the remainder of my stay feel much more sour. I can look past the dated rooms because I know that is out of the staff’s control at that point of time. But unprofessional and unfriendly staff make the value of my stay and diamond member status much worse. From$132

I stayed only two nights at a&o Berlin Mitte with Contiki, the stay was comfortable. The four-share rooms were very small and a bit tricky to fit our four suitcases. We also had a run-in with staff at the front desk. For a four-share room, we only got two keys. When a member of our group asked for a spare key, she was denied then given a temporary card and was rudely told to bring it right back - but how could she get back into the room to bring it back??? Others in our tour had the same experience. Besides that, the breakfast was great.From$16

Decent hostel, relatively clean and facilities are good. Location is good has a tram and metro stop right outside. Only downside is upon arrival 3/4 of the locks didn’t work in our rooms so we had to get reception to fix. However, they were very efficient and felled straight away. Also to note that reception normally only has one staff member on so you might be waiting a while to be seen toFrom$18

The hostel is very dirty. All the surfaces are sticky. There is a terrible stench in the rooms, toilets, corridors and lobby. Things forgotten by the previous tenants are lying around until they are thrown away by the current tenants. Mattresses are stained with brown stains, possibly menstrual blood (I was in the women's room). The pillows are crumpled and terribly uncomfortable. The beds stand so you can't fully open the window to air it out. The lobby is very noisy and smelly too, apparently there is no ventilation or it is blocked. Absolutely not recommended, even for 25€ a night! It's too much for this place.From$17

It was good to be back in Berlin after three years, and to mark the occasion, a friend suggested we do something outrageous. Like partake in a dish that's ubiquitously Berlin, but at an awesome setting and similarly astronomical price. A quick Google search pointed us to the Adlon Kempinski's currywurst, served at the lobby lounge. We were not disappointed. Large serving of sausages came sprinkled with real gold flakes. Gay billed hotels should try more not to make guests feel that they accept second best! Rooms billed as something different were in fact impractical and dark. The only clothes rail was too high for me at 5’7” to comfortably reach, and positioned over one of the useable surfaces meant clothes were pulled down in an awkward way. This resulted in a wine glass being broken. I reported immediately. It seems I was charged €5! No notification just taken from my account. How churlish! Open bathroom lacking privacy, with the only hooks in the toilet! No rails for wet towels!? NO tea or coffee facilities whatsoever except for breakfast. Never experienced that before anywhere in the world in all styles of hotel!! I reported what appeared a security breach with a person appearing under the influence of substances knocking on random doors one evening, ours twice in succession. Not only no report back despite asking, not even passed on to successive shift reception staff, who knew nothing about my earlier report! Overall staff were pleasant but reserved and not exceptionally friendly. Often either away from the desk, sometimes waiting 5-10 minutes after ringing bell, or eating at the desk, very unprofessional. Breakfast staff no smiles or friendliness, no welcome. Overall a disappointing stay, which I would not repeat or recommend unfortunately.From$80

Firstly on to the positives - the location is convenient, the staff is friendly and helpful and the common areas are mostly what you would expect from a Westin Grand. It is clear that they have not spent much resources on keeping the guest rooms up-to-date though, the air circulation was sub-par (very try air throughout the room) and the gym is a big disappointment. A few older treadmills and cross-trainers but no free weights or other equipment. Also, no room service before 5 pm is unheard of for property that markets itself as five-star. All-in-all more akin to an average four-star property but with a Westin brand attached to it. Will not be in a hurry to return.From$201

Very nice concept for enjoying a town visit, getting to know others, have some time playing table tennis. Rooms have a comfortable size and beds are awesome. The bar area and social areas are great. And it's practical to have a coffee machine and waterkettle in the rooms. It is possible to work and relax and the Wifi is better than in most hotels that are more expensive. The only flaw was the checkin, but I am confident they will work on that.From$121

This Crowne Plaza is definitely showing its age and is ready for a fairly comprehensive refurb. It does have a very handy location, however, and still delivers a pretty solid product. Check-in was quick and efficient, although trying to pass off a standard room on a higher floor as an upgrade always feels a bit disingenuous. My IHG status was recognised and we were also able to check-in early. Most of the public areas of the hotel are quite dated and gloomy. The rooms were refurbished in the 2000s and are a bit more up to date, as are the bathrooms, but could also do with a more modern feel. No USB sockets here for sure. That said, the room was very clean and everything that was in it worked – including a very efficient HVAC system. Sound proofing was also reasonably decent (although we were on the quiet floor and you could still hear doors slamming) and the blackout curtains did their job. The room did feel quite cramped, particularly for a hotel originally built in the 1970s. The restaurant area has been updated more recently and the breakfast buffet was extensive, well stocked and enjoyable – definitely a highlight. We did book quite a long time in advance, so the room rate of around EUR130pn felt pretty good value for what we got. I would return if the rate was right.From$126

We arrived for a 3 night break as part of our honeymoon, they left some chocolates and a handwritten card to congratulate us. They also left us two free pool passes as a lovely gesture. The rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfast was lovely although perhaps a little pricey. They offer either a free swim pass or drink if you decide not to have your room cleaned to encourage sustainability which again was a nice touch. After a day of sightseeing in Berlin we enjoyed our free drink in the cosy bar. We had a loft room which had a downstairs part and a separate room upstairs where we slept. The beds were also very comfortable. We would definitely return.

The hotel didn’t charge the night we left earlier, so a big thank you to the hotel. The hotel is located in Prenzlauer Berg right beside the metro/U-bahn. (U2) The area is safe and really cosy. Your are within walking distance of Mauer Park. Speaking of Mauer Park. Try to go there on a sunday, you won’t regret it. Check in and checkout was quick. We stayed two adults and two children in room 308. A spacious room with a little kitchen and a refrigerator. The room was clean and we had a balcony which was very nice in the mornings and evenings. The breakfast was nice with a fine selection of cold and warm food and drinks. But the the breakfast staff. Wow I didn’t see one smile from either of them. No friendly welcome or anything. They really ought to lighten up a little. Wi-Fi is free and the connection is good. You have access to a parking garage nearby for approximately 15 euros/night. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Zarenhof Hotel another time.

We had a lovely little room and it was well-priced and affordable for the tourist season. The staff was helpful and friendly. The most amazing thing about this hotel is its location. This neighbourhood has it all. It's close to coffee shops, amazing food and an eclectic blend of people who are so chill, yet so fun. We joined in their party-like atmosphere on the weekends as they shared drinks in the local park, and coffee at nearby cafes. This hotel is quieter than thrones down further and more famous at the nearest larger intersection. We LOVED Berlin: it's my new favourite European city, and this neighbourhood with its perfect mix of people is one of the reasons. We also caught the trams and Underground down the street at the corner. It goes to the main station. The hotel has some bikes to use but they were too big for me. NO A/C, but good beds and pillows. Small rooms. The history of this small hotel is amazing. Good food and coffee in the am, or pay for coffee nearby. Most ppl in the city speak English, and are very tourist-friendly. Perfectly SAFE. We were the ones paranoid lol. There is a rental bike shop 4-5 doors down with a super-friendly owner. If you're a cyclist, this is the place for you. You can ride anywhere on the city's protected paths, then leave the city and ride to the next small town. Amazing sites on the way. 30k to 100+

The amenities are a little basic, but that wasn’t a surprise given the affordable price of the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The patio and garden in the back of the hotel was a nice place spot to sit after a day of sightseeing. I didn’t try the breakfast (and it seemed a bit expensive relative to nearby cafes) but it looked good. The location was great. There are good public transportation options and it’s a great neighborhood. There were some noise issues (a nearby playground during the day and some noisy neighbors at night), but neither were intolerable.

The shared toilets have paper towels and floor towels, which are better than the youth trips I have lived in before. The room is also very clean. The younger brother at the front desk is very enthusiastic. The only bad thing is that there is a lot of noise in the downstairs, but I don't care.

Quiet enough (thanks to my mates), away from the street, nice view into the gardens. Superb breakfast for vegetarians and vegans with a lot of homemade bread spreads, dips and mueslis. |1.13km from PuneThe hostel is located right next to the U-bahn station and not far from Alexanderplatz, the location itself is very convenient, in a vibrant area with a lot of places to eat. The staff were nice, and there were a lot of activities where I managed to meet some cool people from all over the world. The toilets and bathrooms were fairly clean and well-maintained.
On the downside, the room for 6 people was quite small and it was really hot in there when all 6 or even 5 were present. But if you opened the window, it just became super loud and even less possible to sleep — the room had its windows right above a rather busy street, and even at night there was constant car noise, honking, trams passing and so on. You could hear it VERY loudly from the 2nd floor. So despite having a comfy bed, I can’t say I have had a good sleep any of the nights I stayed there.
When you check in they also give you a voucher for a free beer in their own basement brewery. That was cool, but the sample glass is SO small, like 100ml? I expected it to be a full size drink to be honest:) Still, the brewery is really nice.

The room was large enough and the bed comfortable. The decor was seafoam green, notably the linoleum floor. The staff were helpful and friendly. The garden is a delight, complete with ponds and little half-hidden places to sit. I would give this place six stars if I could, and I look forward to visiting again next time I need to be in the center of Berlin.

I was delighted when Marianne checked us in and told us we had been upgraded to one of the best rooms (since it was our honeymoon)! The whole room was fantastically perfect; we had a private terrace to view the city and drink our sparkling wine, the bed was VERY comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean, and the shower was large and easy to use with great water pressure. There was plenty of information about the hotel and the city within the resources in the room, which really appealed to me as an anxious traveller. Tobi and the staff capably took care of 5 little ducklings that jumped from the roof to our terrace when we were relaxing in the room! After being very tired of continental breakfast at other hotels across Europe, we were so happy to eat in the Circus’ lounge in the morning. We ate our favorite breakfasts there every morning, served by the lovely Luiza and Tay. The hotel’s lounge/lobby area is so perfectly eccentric and funky, with very fun furniture and lighting fixtures. We also really really enjoyed Lost My Voice bar! We drank so many sinfully delicious cocktails there in the evenings. I 100000% recommend The Circus Hotel. The value was even great; I paid $900 for three nights, SO many cocktails, and 3 breakfasts for two people.

Especially now during Corona times, they literally send their cleaning team to sanitize door handles etc. every hour and they have a full no-contact check-in and check-out system that works by a telephone service that is always there for you. The cozy rooms and excellent location at Rosethaler Platz makes the stay just perfect. A secret tip: ask for one of their ”signature rooms”, created by local Berlin artists (no additional costs charged). Definitely a recommendation for everyone!
