We didn't regret getting an entrance ticket + Fast Track to the rides, which allowed us to visit all the top attractions (Transformers, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park) in one day. After looking at many hotels, I finally settled on this one. Choosing a hotel for a trip is often a headache, and personally, I prioritize soundproofing. However, for this trip to Beijing, I focused more on transportation convenience, so I booked this place from the start. I did anticipate that the soundproofing and cleanliness might not be great.
Upon checking in, the front desk kindly upgraded me to a deluxe twin room for free. Surprisingly, the air conditioning and refrigerator in the room were very quiet, and the overall soundproofing was quite good. Coupled with the convenience of transportation – being able to walk to Tiananmen Square and having many restaurants nearby within walking distance, plus a subway station right downstairs – it's a recommended place for Beijing tourists who walk tens of thousands of steps a day.
There were a few drawbacks, though. For example, the toilet seemed quite old, with insufficient flushing power, which needs improvement. Also, the hotel doesn't have laundry facilities. The room's balcony gets plenty of sunlight, so I'd suggest adding a floor-standing drying rack.From€63

The hotel was in a great central location. We loved the smart controls in the room which help with lighting and opening the curtains from the bedside. The rooms only downsides were a funny smell specific to our room from behind the fridge and the bathroom door which stuck so hard it needed to be pulled shut and made a lid noise when doing so, some oil should resolve this!
Unfortunately when we arrived at 4:15pm from London our room was not ready which was very disappointing after a long trip. We had to wait another hour and go into the city to kill the time.
Also everyone should note this hotel has one lift and no stairs, for a hotel with this many rooms this is simply not good enough. The staff use the same lift as does the cute delivery robot. This meant we spent way too much of our time existing for the elevator to down and up. Given we were on the floor above reception this would have been unnecessary if the stairs were accessible. This was a major issue for us and was the only thing that spoiled the stay.

This is my second time staying at Peace Hotel, first time was in 2017. This time we stayed at the newer West Wing. We initially had only planned to stay one night but decided to extend our stay and stayed 5 nights this visit. The hotel gave us a voucher for complimentary art workshop. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and so did my nieces. Location of the hotel is perfect, within walking distance to few subway stations and just one block away from downtown commercial shopping. Staff are friendly, great breakfast selection, rooms are, clean and spacious. The housekeeping staff are very polite and friendly, they are constantly maintaining the cleanliness and tidyness of the space. We did not get a chance to use the pool, as the day goes by it gets pretty busy with kids, swimming cap is mandatory and can be purchased from the gym trainers. The laundry room was convenient (3 washer, 3 dryer), detergent supplied, but the dryer takes a long time to fully dry so we ended up airing our clothes in our suite. Room: The treehouse slide room was a huge hit with our little one. As soon as we entered, they were climbing up and sliding down non-stop, burning off so much energy! When it was time to check out, they kept asking to stay another night.
Dining: The Chinese restaurant is recommended; the food was good, and the prices were quite reasonable for a five-star hotel. The buffet restaurant on weekend mornings was very crowded, requiring a wait. It would be great if they could address the capacity issue during peak hours.
Hot Springs: The Tang Le Palace hot spring complex has many pools of various sizes, and they were quite clean. Both our child and we had a great time soaking and playing. We went on a weekend, and while it was busy, it didn't feel uncomfortably crowded, unlike some other hot springs that feel like a 'dumpling bath'.

The hotel boasts an elegant environment, making you feel like you have an entire mountain to yourself. Built into the hillside, the two-bedroom suite we booked this time was located mid-mountain. The hotel community has complete facilities, and the main entrance is fenced off with a gate, so the security is reassuring and makes you feel very safe.
The shuttle service uses Voyah commercial vans, which are super comfortable! The staff helped with our luggage, which was very thoughtful and attentive. It's about 10 kilometers from Badaling Great Wall, and Shuiguan Great Wall is nearby and not crowded. Juyongguan Great Wall is also conveniently located on the way to Beijing South Station, so we stopped by, making our trip even more rich and fulfilling.From€111

Pros:
1. The hotel is nestled halfway up the mountain, offering fresh air and truly beautiful surroundings. It's a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle, and the hotel's decor and maintenance are quite good. Our butler, Bella, was incredibly meticulous and thoughtful, taking care of every little detail. She met all our needs, making our stay exceptionally comfortable.
2. There's a wide array of facilities and activities, including a mountainside hot spring, indoor pool, Hatha yoga, singing bowl therapy, a gym, and a kids' club. It's perfect for families, and the kids' club is large and newly renovated – it just reopened in May. It's definitely more fun than the kids' clubs at other hotels I've visited. Plus, children aged 4 and up can be supervised for free, which made my little one super happy!
3. The room key card came with a park map, showing hiking trails. There's an easy 5-kilometer mountain boardwalk, perfect for families, where you can visit the Eight Planets viewing platforms.
4. The breakfast was impressive! They had steaks, lamb chops, and a rich variety of both Chinese and Western dishes. However, the cured meats were generally a bit too salty.
Cons:
1. For a 5-star hotel, there was no safe in the room.
2. While there's an abundance of kids' activities, most of them come with a fee.
3. Since the kids' club was newly renovated, the smell was quite strong, making my eyes and throat uncomfortable.
Overall, we were still very satisfied. I imagine it would be even more atmospheric to visit in winter for the hot springs, though I expect it would be extremely crowded.From€180

The room is very spacious, and the bathroom area is quite large, perfect for a family. There's plenty of room for dining and playing together. The height of the chairs and tables is a bit mismatched; you sink in quite a bit when you sit down. The bunk beds were a hit with the kids. Plus, there's a private indoor hot spring in the room, which is free and quite nice. The hotel breakfast is pretty average, with the variety and taste on par with a 3-star hotel in the city center. The hot spring is connected to the hotel, and you can re-enter until noon the next day by registering your room number. However, you do need to exchange your entry wristband.From€63

After booking the hotel, I saw a lot of negative reviews, which made me quite nervous. However, I found it to be pretty good in reality. The environment is beautiful and the air is pleasant, perfect for a relaxing 'lie-flat' vacation, so I ended up staying for three nights.
As a five-star hotel, the hardware facilities, room layout, and spatial design are all top-notch. The accompanying gym and pool are also excellent. The gym has water and towels, and a good range of equipment, so I'd give it a five-star rating.
The main complaint about breakfast seems to be the small restaurant, but I personally felt the food variety met expectations. The live cooking stations for noodles and wontons were quite tasty, and there were also specialty 'huoshao'. The omelet chef was very friendly, and there were several coffee machines, both capsule and regular. The hot dishes were indeed limited, only three or four, which is a clear drawback. Also, the small cakes common in other five-star hotels were missing. I'd give it a four-star rating, but it's certainly not bad.
The Chinese restaurant, however, offers poor value for money. It's expensive with limited variety, many dishes didn't inspire me to order, and the taste was just average. Overall, the dining is a relative weakness. The Jing A beer at the lobby bar wasn't expensive, though. There are many takeaway options, but the robot delivery was a bit slow.
The housekeeping staff were very diligent, providing plenty of water and amenities. I was just a little surprised that after excitedly bringing my own tea, there were no tea sets. It was also a bit inconvenient that there were no toiletries by the bathtub.
The front desk staff were also fine. The World Horticultural Exposition is right outside, and the complimentary hot spring tickets made it an excellent value. I hope they continue to operate well, and I would stay here again if I have the chance.
Oh, and the entrance and exit to the underground parking lot are a bit small, so be careful when passing other cars.From€66

This five-star hotel truly delivers on luxury, making for an exceptional experience.
The location deserves special praise – it's incredibly convenient for getting anywhere. With Metro Line 1 and Line 5 just a short walk away, getting around is completely effortless. Step out of the hotel and turn left, and you'll find Longfor Tianjie Mall within 50 meters, boasting so many shopping and dining options that you'll be spoiled for choice. All your retail therapy and culinary cravings will be easily satisfied.
The room itself was an even bigger surprise. It was incredibly spacious, bright, and filled with natural light. The floor-to-ceiling window, in particular, offered an amazing view – it was incredibly comfortable just lying there and taking in the scenery. The amenities were comprehensive, and the pillows and mattress were perfectly comfortable. I slept so soundly, straight through till morning, feeling completely refreshed.
Breakfast is also worth mentioning. With a rich variety of both Chinese and Western options, there was so much to choose from, ensuring a satisfying start to each day.
The staff were consistently warm, polite, and genuinely considerate of guests' needs. Their service was incredibly thoughtful, and they definitely deserve a big thumbs up!

The hotel's location is excellent, and the overall interior design and cleanliness are impeccable. The pool is fantastic and not too crowded. There are many foreigners staying at the hotel, mainly due to its proximity to the embassy district. You can walk to many great restaurants nearby, and the bakery and German restaurant downstairs are also highlights. Being surrounded by many embassies gives you a unique feel of the capital city. The Liangma River is right next to the hotel, and we went kayaking there with my family in the evening, experiencing a unique sense of relaxation in Beijing. I've lost count of how many times I've stayed at NUO Hotel Beijing. We've been coming here every time we visit Beijing since my child was very young! This time, the front desk staff, Mina, upgraded our room and gave us complimentary executive breakfast on the 25th floor, which was much appreciated! The breakfast selection was small but exquisite, and the service was excellent.
There are many kid-friendly attractions around NUO Hotel, and the pool is also very clean. Among hotels in Beijing at a similar price point, the location and value for money are top-notch. We booked a twin room this time, and they combined the beds into a super-king, just like at Universal NUO – a big thumbs up!
One minor thing: the walls in room 2023 were a little dirty. Hopefully, they can tidy that up if they see this review.From€114

Opting for the Grand Hyatt Beijing for my trip to Beijing this time, the experience far exceeded my expectations. The hotel is centrally located on Chang'an Avenue, directly connected to Oriental Plaza downstairs, within walking distance to Wangfujing, and offers incredibly convenient access to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. The lobby is grand and impressive, with tasteful Chinese design details. The guest rooms are clean and tidy, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with expansive views. From the higher floors, you can overlook the cityscapes of Chang'an Avenue. The soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a peaceful stay even amidst the bustling city. The bedding is soft and comfortable, providing a great night's sleep. Amy at the front desk was warm, attentive, and very efficient with check-in and check-out. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of choices, including both Western dishes and authentic Beijing local snacks. The hotel's heated swimming pool has a wonderful environment, and the overall service is meticulous and thoughtful. It's perfectly suitable for both leisure and business travelers. The housekeepers, Ms. Wu Huanqin and Ms. Zhao Huanfeng, noticed we had a baby crib in our room and a pile of laundry in the bathroom. From the moment the concierge opened the car door, it was clear that Rosewood invests heavily in its staff. The hotel entrance was well-staffed; one person opened the door, another handled luggage, and this level of service was consistent upon departure.
Upon entering, the five or six-story high lobby was impressive. The front desk staff who checked us in was a gentleman wearing a yellow tie, and his conversation during the process was delightful and enthusiastic – a great first impression.
Stepping into the room, it was evident that Rosewood maintains its rooms exceptionally well. Despite the hotel being open for many years, the carpet was still clean and tidy. The complimentary mineral water has been upgraded to Oravida in glass bottles, which, in my opinion, is a slight improvement over canned water. The room layout was comfortable and didn't feel cramped. Although the building is old, Rosewood's design philosophy is incredibly forward-thinking, making it a standout in today's Beijing hotel market.
The bathroom wasn't huge but didn't feel cramped. The bathtub was excellent and spacious, and the water pressure was strong, filling it up quickly. All toilets have been replaced with Toto smart toilets. It's worth noting that the bathrobes are Frette. The mattress firmness and the skin-friendliness of the bedding were particularly to my liking.
I believe the gym and swimming pool are the best among Beijing's luxury hotels. The gym space is arguably the largest among hotels of its caliber, with the most comprehensive facilities. The swimming pool is widely considered the most photogenic among Beijing's luxury hotels, with clear water and a three-to-four-story high ceiling that creates an incredibly comfortable atmosphere. Air circulation is excellent, with no dampness or chlorine smell.
Compared to these highlights, breakfast was only satisfactory – not outstanding, but it met expectations. The beef noodles were quite good, though.
Overall, among hotels in Beijing at a similar price point, Rosewood is arguably the best!From€278
