I carried a small tin box, the size of my palm, specifically to collect the colorful candy wrappers I encountered along the way. There were old-fashioned fruit candies that an old lady at the alleyway gave me, their wrappers printed with faded floral patterns, their textured with a frosty feel of bygone days. As I unwrapped the candy and popped it into my mouth, I would carefully flatten the wrapper and press it back into the tin box as the sweetness spread. There were also mints that came free from dessert shops, their wrappers shimmering with tiny silver foil, swaying gently in the breeze. And there were orange candies left over from sharing with new friends, their wrappers printed with cute cartoon designs. Each one corresponded to an unexpected encounter. After a few days of wandering, the tin box was overflowing. Not a single one was a souvenir I had deliberately bought; each one was imbued with the warmth and sweetness of that moment. When I got home, I would occasionally empty them and spread them out on the table. The different colored wrappers stacked together felt like a whole bunch of sweet little moments from the journey were laid out before my eyes. I could instantly recall the taste of that time without even looking at photos. This feeling of collecting these little sweet moments was much more comforting than buying a bunch of expensive souvenirs.

We bought our tickets at a discount, so we didn't have to wait in line at the ticket office. I just scanned the QR code at the entrance and off we went. Victoria Peak is a must-see; I loved the view! There's also a wonderful restaurant at the top, themed after the movie Forrest Gump. The food is excellent; try it, you won't regret it. We walked down along an old road. You find yourself in the jungle—birds singing, insects chirping, vines. It's amazing!!! But the trail is long; it took about an hour to get down and about 15 minutes to the metro. You need to be in good physical condition. Definitely take the tram up; don't skimp. The climb is tough (we went down and felt sorry for those going up :)

Light a warm campfire in the wilderness, the firewood crackling softly as it burns, sparks drifting into the dark blue night sky. People around you casually offer you snacks, and you chat aimlessly around the fire. No one rushes you to the next activity, and no one is constantly taking photos. You simply sit on a rock by the fire, letting the warm light fall on your face, watching the distant stars shine so brightly they seem to fall into the fire. The wind carries the scent of wild grass and trees, blowing away all your worries. You used to think that camping meant going to well-equipped, trendy campsites to take great photos for social media. But after spending a whole night sitting around a campfire in the wilderness, you realized that the warmest and most lively moments are often found in aimless chatter. Traveling the world is worthwhile not because you have to check off every trendy campsite, but because it's about spending a whole night by a crackling campfire. This lively warmth will quietly warm your heart on those cold nights when you're working hard alone in a foreign land.

I have visited Hong Kong more than ten times, but perhaps because it has been 10 years since my last visit... I don't think I've ever enjoyed the Peak Tram as much as I did this time. The facilities seem to have been stylishly refurbished, and it was a satisfying trip in every way. In addition, I booked the Ong Ting 360 at a discount through Triple, and I am extremely satisfied.

Victoria Peak

Complete guide to Victoria Peak (The Peak) Hong Kong. Covers Peak Tram tickets, hiking routes, top attractions, restaurants, best visiting time and transport from Central.

Victoria Peak Overview

Night view from the Peak Hong Kong

Named after Queen Victoria during British colonial rule, Victoria Peak has been a signature Hong Kong landmark for over 150 years. Once an exclusive residential area for colonial elites escaping the city heat, it now blends subtropical nature, heritage sites and classic city views. The 1888 Peak Tram remains its most famous feature, and quiet hilltop trails and sunset views make it a favourite with both tourists and local residents.

How to Get to Victoria Peak

There are 5 main ways to reach the summit, from the iconic heritage tram to budget-friendly buses and hiking trails.

Peak Tram

The Peak Tram (Most Popular & Classic)

Operating since 1888 with over 130 years of history, the Peak Tram is Hong Kong’s oldest funicular railway and the most classic way to reach Victoria Peak. It departs from the Garden Road Lower Terminus in Central, climbing 396 metres over a 1.4-kilometre track with gradients as steep as 27 degrees — the steep angle creates a memorable visual effect where city buildings appear to lean backwards as you ascend. The ride takes roughly 8 minutes, passing Mid-Levels neighbourhoods, green hillside and gradually opening harbour views along the way. For the best scenery, sit on the right side when going uphill.

  • How to get to the terminus: 10-minute uphill walk from MTR Central Station Exit J2
  • Operating hours: 7:30 AM – 11:00 PM daily
  • Queue & booking tips: Book tickets online in advance to skip the ticket counter line. As of May 2026, the hilltop terminus uses the Queue Easy e-queue system: scan the on-site QR code to check estimated wait times and collect a digital queue number for your downhill ride. Passengers without a queue number will wait in a standby lane with longer wait times.
  • Ticket bundles: Most visitors buy a round-trip tram + Sky Terrace 428 combo for better value.

Public Bus

Route 15 is the main double-decker bus service to Victoria Peak, running from Central Pier 5 / Exchange Square up to the Peak Galleria terminus. It winds through Mid-Levels hillside roads, with decent open-air views along the route.

  • Journey time: 35–45 minutes, traffic dependent
  • Frequency: Every 10–15 minutes
  • Fare: Around $1.30 per person, paid by Octopus card or exact cash
  • Best for: Budget travellers, or those who prefer a slower, scenic hillside ride

Green Minibus

Minibus Route 1 runs directly from Hong Kong Station (IFC2) to Victoria Peak. It’s faster than the regular bus and usually guarantees a seat, making it a popular local hack to avoid tram crowds.

  • Journey time: 25–30 minutes
  • Frequency: Every 5–15 minutes daily
  • Fare: Around $2 per person
  • Best for: Travellers wanting a quick, cheap, crowd-free alternative to the tram

Taxi

Red urban taxis can drop you directly at the Peak Tower entrance from anywhere on Hong Kong Island. It’s the most hassle-free option for groups, families with young kids or people with luggage.

  • Journey time: 15–20 minutes from Central
  • Fare: Roughly $10–$13 from Central, $13–$19 from Tsim Sha Tsui
  • Best for: Groups, early sunrise trips, late-night returns

Hiking (On Foot)

You can walk up to Victoria Peak from Central via Old Peak Road, a gradual paved route through residential areas and forested slopes. No technical climbing is required.

  • Route: Central MTR → Central-Mid-Levels Escalator → Conduit Road → Old Peak Road → Victoria Peak
  • Journey time: 1 – 1.5 hours one way
  • Difficulty: Moderate, steady uphill paved path
  • Best for: Outdoor lovers, budget travellers, anyone wanting to skip queues

  • Distance: 3.5km loop | Duration: ~1 hour | Difficulty: Very easy, fully flat paved road

Moderate: Central → Victoria Peak (Old Peak Road)

  • Distance: ~4km one way | Duration: 1–1.5 hours | Difficulty: Moderate gentle uphill
  • Route: Central MTR → Mid-Levels Escalator → Old Peak Road → Peak Tower

General Hiking Tips

  • The peak is 3–5°C cooler than the city; bring a light jacket, especially after sunset
  • Carry drinking water and insect repellent for forested sections
  • Avoid hiking on foggy or stormy days, as visibility can drop to near zero

Victoria Peak
  • Best overall window: 30–60 minutes before sunset — you’ll get daytime views, golden hour sunset and the lit-up night skyline all in one trip.
  • Daytime: 7:30–9:00 AM has the fewest crowds and clearest air, ideal for hiking.
  • Nighttime: 7:00–10:00 PM for the famous million-dollar city light view.

Ocean Park offers discounted prices for Hong Kong residents, with a "buy one get one free" deal available for three items. Trip.com also offers a buy-one-get-one-free offer. Some facilities at Ocean Park are under maintenance or closed, so check the official website to see if the exhibits you want to visit are open. One special attraction is the sloth, which staff members carry out for interaction. For the panda exhibit, try to go early to see the pandas more actively.

Great for visiting with kids. The first "level" is more of a zoo, with pandas and other animals. There's also a children's amusement park suitable for small children, a small Ferris wheel, a large playground, and a train. Once you've explored everything, head to the second level. There are two options: a funicular ride through the mountain or a cable car ride. I recommend taking the cable car there. It's bright and well-lit, so you can see everything and enjoy the views. The second part of the park has more attractions for adults: a chain carousel, a large Ferris wheel, and various roller coasters. There's also a penguin and seal area. There's also a dolphin show—check the schedule. For a quicker return, you can take the cable car ride down—also a fun and quick option.

Always love Ocean Park since I love pandas so much!!! I can tell all the animals are all well taken care of by the keepers. Instead of Disney I would suggest going to Ocean Park instead since it is the collective memory & childhood of Hong Kongers. Plus all the animals in different parts of the Park. I go to Ocean Park at least once a year.

On this trip, I made a promise to myself: no matter where I went that day, I would stop and watch the sunset. On the first day, I sat by a streetlamp on a bustling street, watching the sun slowly sink, casting long shadows of passersby. The air was filled with the aroma of food, and the whole world felt warm and cozy. On the second day, I sat on the edge of a rooftop in a quiet alley, watching the sunset paint the clouds orange-red. A gentle breeze blew through my hair, and my cat lay lazily beside me, keeping me company. On the third day, I stood on a wide riverbank, watching the sunset spread gold across the water, and boats slowly sailed by, leaving gentle trails on the water. Over the course of the days, I recorded more than a dozen completely different sunsets. Each one had a different color and a different view, but each one allowed me to forget all my worries and quietly enjoy this gentle time that belonged only to me. This unique promise with the sunset became the most unforgettable ritual of my trip.

When we arrive at the hotel with heavy suitcases, filled with trepidation about the unknown journey, several warm hands are always there to promptly reach out and take our burdens. The bellhops not only gently and carefully arrange our luggage but also thoughtfully open the car doors and escort us to our rooms. When we've explored the world to our hearts' content and are ready to leave, even after check-out time, the hotel will still store our luggage for free without complaint, and even prepare cool, damp towels and refreshing fruit tea to ensure a smooth return journey. This meticulous care is like an invisible weight lifted from our shoulders, relieving us of our defenses and burdens. We often think of travel as a solitary activity, but behind these quietly provided services lies the deepest thoughtfulness. This sense of security, of being comfortably cared for during our journey, is a precious experience that no amount of glamorous scenery can replace.

As dusk falls and the setting sun bathes the streets in a golden glow, my favorite thing to do is stroll through the local night market. There are no elaborate decorations or elegant background music, only the rising and falling cries of vendors, the sizzling smell of oil on the griddles, and the colorful, flashing neon signs. Holding a bowl of freshly bought, chilled sweet soup, I wander through the bustling crowd, watching vendors skillfully grill meat skewers and couples hand in hand choosing handmade jewelry. This vibrant hustle and bustle isn't noisy at all; instead, it has a strange sense of healing. In the hotel, I enjoy ultimate tranquility and privacy, while in the night market, I experience ultimate liveliness and vibrancy. These two contrasting experiences are like two sides of the same coin, together creating the most complete joy of travel. Buying a handful of freshly roasted nuts, picking out a crookedly woven bamboo basket—these little items, imbued with the warmth of everyday life, along with the laughter carried on the evening breeze, are carefully tucked into the pocket of my memory.

The moment you step into the hotel lobby, you're greeted by the warm smiles and perfectly timed greetings of the concierge staff. They seem to possess a magical ability to read your needs from your slightly weary expression, instantly dissolving any sense of unfamiliarity or unease with a warm "Welcome home." The check-in process is seamless; the front desk staff are not only professional and efficient but also thoughtfully recommend hidden gems and tips on avoiding tourist traps, as if a longtime friend were welcoming you home. This feeling of being valued and treated with care transforms the potentially tedious wait into a pleasant experience. In these subtle details, we experience not only top-notch service but also the most genuine kindness between people. This warmth from strangers is like a ray of light on our journey, illuminating our wonderful first impression of the city and filling ordinary days with joy.

Pushing open the glass door hidden at the end of the corridor, a gentle breeze carrying a faint scent of chlorine and fresh, watery vapor greets you. Changing into a light swimsuit, I slowly immerse myself in the azure water. In an instant, the fatigue and muscle aches from a day's work seem to melt away in the gentle ripples. I love swimming in the hotel's rooftop pool, watching the city skyline shimmer and sway through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows. Here, there are no vibrating phones, no work urgency, only the soft sound of water flowing past my ears and my own steady breathing. When I get tired, I casually lean against the edge of the pool, letting myself float on the surface like a fallen leaf, gazing at the blue sky and white clouds above or the dazzling starry night. This weightless feeling of surrendering myself completely to the water is an ultimate sense of freedom and relaxation. The swimming pool is like a blue utopia on a journey. Its clear waters wash away the dust and weariness from us, allowing us to rediscover our light and energetic selves in the waters of a foreign land.

There were no must-see attractions, no rushed itinerary. I simply wandered around at my own pace. Roadside stalls displayed handmade trinkets; the owners weren't overly pushy, but quietly sat to the side, tidying up their work. As the sun rose higher, I found a small seat by the roadside, ordered a cold drink, and watched the passersby in their casual clothes, their faces relaxed with smiles. This trip wasn't planned in detail, yet I found a wealth of gentleness in my casual strolls. Even the wind carried a lazy, languid atmosphere that made me not want to leave. Only when the sunset painted the sky a pale orange did I slowly get up and head back. The pebbles under my feet still held the warmth of the day, and my heart was filled with a sense of relaxation. I realized that the most touching journey is never about rushing, but about finding your own slow pace in unfamiliar scenery.

I can't even remember the last time I visited the Hong Kong Museum of Art. Recently, I saw they had a free exhibition of Monet's Water Lilies, so I made a special trip to see this world-class masterpiece. I remember museums used to charge admission, but now it's completely free for everyone! I don't know if this is a permanent policy or a temporary measure, but it's fantastic news. Although it's conveniently located in Tsim Sha Tsui and the facilities are free, it wasn't crowded at all, and there were no long queues. Compared to foreign museums, which are always packed and require overcoming numerous obstacles to see a single painting, here it was relaxed and unhurried – highly recommended! Plus, the air conditioning was very cool, making it a great place to escape the heat!

Hong Kong's Museum of Art isn't just walls and paintings; it's a time machine! From ancient Chinese pots to edgy modern art, you'll explore history and culture from East to West. Special exhibitions like the jaw-dropping Venetian Renaissance showcase hidden treasures. But it's not just for art snobs: talks, workshops, and even a kids' play lab make it fun for everyone. Sure, the audio guide could be fresher and some signs could be more helpful, but that's a tiny blip in a stellar experience. Leave the city's buzz behind and dive into this artistic oasis. You'll walk out inspired, informed, and wanting more. Highly recommended!

It’s quite an impressive museum and exceeded my expectations. It provides a very detailed maritime history of Hong Kong and the south china sea from pre to post colonial times, including as it relates to trade, politics, warfare, culture, and religion. There is a surprisingly high coverage of modern maritime history as well, for the 21st century. For history lovers like me there are some significant artifacts and paintings here of historical value. You can spend over 2 hours here if you take your time to read everything. Good museum for adults.

This is my go-to hotel whenever I'm in Hong Kong. The location is absolutely unbeatable – it's right above Harbour City, so you have endless options for dining, shopping, and entertainment. Plus, there's a direct walkway from the back entrance to the Star Ferry, making it super convenient to get to Central. This was my third stay in six months, and I always feel right at home. I arrived late at night, and the front desk staff, Aaron Xu, thoughtfully asked if I had a power adapter. When I said no, he immediately arranged for one to be sent to my room. It was also lovely to see the Chinese flag pin on his uniform. Highly recommend, I'll definitely be staying here again!

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location is absolutely unbeatable. The room was also spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The Cordis Hong Kong is a fantastic hotel with modern facilities and exceptionally clean, dry rooms. Given Hong Kong's notoriously high land prices, the room size was surprisingly generous and incredibly comfortable. The staff were all very warm, attentive, and patient when answering questions. I also loved the unique and atmospheric art installations in the lobby. The hotel is conveniently located right next to Langham Place, with an underground tunnel providing direct access to the bustling Mong Kok shopping district and Mong Kok MTR station, making it super easy to get around and shop.

I stayed here during the Dragon Boat Festival. I had asked Trip.com customer service to arrange a quiet, high-floor room near the elevator if possible. Upon check-in, the hotel front desk upgraded me to an executive floor room based on the Trip.com note, and it was indeed very quiet. For Hong Kong, this hotel is quite spacious; there's enough room to open two suitcases simultaneously. They also provide bed rails, which is perfect if you're traveling with kids. The hotel lobby connects directly to a plaza, making dining very convenient. The only downside is if you're traveling with kids and have a lot of stuff on a stroller, it's better to take a taxi. We took bus A21 from the airport (the bus was pretty fast), but after getting off, we had to drag our luggage quite a long way, which was really exhausting.

It's close to the subway, and you can walk to Times Square, SOGO, and other shopping centers in just a few minutes. There are tons of restaurants, a fruit market nearby, and plenty of bus stops too. Highly recommend! 👍👍

The location of the hotel is relatively convenient since it’s a few minutes away from Jordan Station. The temple night market and anytime fitness is close too from the hotel (approx 10-15min walk). The breakfast options aren’t the best but food was hot and decent. We had 2 main issues with the hotel which is the cleanliness and fire alarm. We found several cockroaches in the room but the staff moved us to a different room right after we reported it. Regarding the fire alarm, it went off at 2am waking us up. We evacuated and went downstairs immediately. However, they told us there was no fire and it was just gas leak issue. No apologies. Just told us that it’s normal and we should just go back to our rooms.

Hygiene: The bed sheets and duvet covers didn't seem to have been changed, as there were a few strands of hair on the pillow, and more hair was found when I pulled back the duvet at the foot of the bed. After the sheets were changed, my skin felt itchy when I slept at night. Service: The service was alright. They were cooperative when I asked for new sheets, trash removal, and extra tissues. Environment: The hotel's location is quite central, making it convenient to get around. Facilities: The facilities are a bit old, but that's understandable for Hong Kong. I just hope the hygiene conditions can be improved.

This hotel is located near Tsim Sha Tsui, one of Kowloon's busiest areas, surrounded by numerous shops and supermarkets. The rooms are quite spacious for this locality, and the beds are a comfortable 105cm wide. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station and nearby bus stops. There's a direct A21 bus service to the airport, and Victoria Harbour and the Avenue of Stars are within a kilometer's walk, making the location incredibly convenient.

Our stay at The Imperial Hotel Tsim Sha Tsui in Hong Kong was truly exceptional, with professional and incredibly warm service! We didn't have an umbrella when it started raining, and the front desk staff proactively offered us a hotel umbrella, which was a huge lifesaver. When checking out, the front desk auntie was so thoughtful and professional; she even gave us Ferrero Rocher chocolates, considering that tourists might experience low blood sugar. That attention to detail was so touching. The hotel's location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. Overall, our stay was fantastic, and I highly recommend it. We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we visit Hong Kong!

I was a bit hesitant after reading the reviews before booking, but decided to give it a try, especially since the price point meant I couldn't expect too much. The room was small but had everything I needed. There wasn't any musty smell as some mentioned, but the air conditioner vent was quite noisy, and the soundproofing wasn't great. If you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend booking a higher-end hotel, otherwise, you might struggle to fall asleep, like myself. The front desk staff on the 5th floor and the security guard downstairs were both very helpful.

Very convenient location to TST station where nearest exit N5 (stairs access only) to hotel. If you have big luggage, you can via iSquare mall, take escalator to ground level and cross the road to hotel. The renovated room is spacious with 2 double beds. But there is only 1 seater in the room and no bottled water or laundry bag provided. Toiletries are provided via dispensers. Counter staff at check in can be more polite. I will choose this hotel for it's location and room size. Many food options like Red Tea, Bakehouse, dim sum, wanton mee, chagee around. K11 mall just behind hotel. Self check in and out counter is available.

Sha Tin Hong Kong|8.21km from city center
This is a very good hotel for Hong Kong standards. The only minor inconvenience is that it's not directly above an MTR station, but they do offer a shuttle bus service to West Kowloon and Sha Tin. Many hotels in Hong Kong are quite old, but this one is not only newly renovated and clean, but the service is also warm and attentive, always ready to help. Most importantly, the soundproofing is excellent, which is incredibly rare and a huge plus! Highly recommended. [The following content is unrelated to the hotel]: The Ctrip flight ticket promotion, 'Buy 19.9 RMB to get 15 RMB off 4 flight tickets,' is a complete scam and rip-off. Do not buy it! There are numerous restrictions that make it unusable. The so-called 'complaint specialist' - Fudoudou - is an *****, repeating the same single sentence even more than a robot. Ctrip is rotten to the core, stay away!

Last year, we have stayed here several times and back again this summer. The hotel is in a very nice location with lots of restaurants nearby, good food and not very expensive relative to other tourist districts like TST. Two blocks to the MTR station and bus terminal with easy access to every part of Hongkong. Close to the Victoria Park and walking distance through the park to the Causeway Bay shopping district. The new East Harbour-front broadwalk offering great view of the entire Victoria harbour and great for a morning jog or sunset walk. Also easy access up to the Hong Kong Island Coastal Trails. Staffs were very friendly with super fast checkin and checkout. Seems like the hotel has also done some minor improvements like better wifi connections and placing filter units in the hallways to clean the air due to people smoking in their rooms or in the hallway, even though the hotel is supposed to be totally smoking free environment! Will definitely be back again in the next few months.

Returned to The Empire Hotel Hong Kong · Wan Chai again, and it's still as much a favorite as ever. For someone like me with no sense of direction, its biggest advantage is the location. It's very close to Wan Chai MTR station, making it easy to walk to and from Causeway Bay, Admiralty, and Central. The airport bus stop is also near the hotel, which is incredibly convenient. Plus, there are plenty of dining options in the area. A big thank you for the upgrade to a double room with a window! The room size is definitely a major plus for a Hong Kong hotel, with ample storage and space to move around. The bathroom was spotless, and practical amenities like USB sockets and a fridge were provided. Keep up the great work! 💪

Hyatt Centric Hong Kong is definitely a hotel worth a glowing review after my trip to Hong Kong. I had a great impression of Hyatt Centric when I stayed at one in Kota Kinabalu before. This time, I checked into the Hong Kong location late at night, feeling quite upset after a terrible experience at another old five-star hotel the night before. My wife and I, with our luggage, decided to try this place out, and the overall experience significantly exceeded our expectations. Our room was a corner room. While not exceptionally large, it felt very spacious and comfortable, not at all cramped, which my wife also appreciated. Our room offered a partial sea view, but the other side was close to a residential building, so privacy was a bit lacking, and we generally had to keep the curtains drawn. The bathroom was a little small, making it a bit awkward to place the floor mat, and the hairdryer's power was weak, making it difficult to fully dry long hair. The service was a major highlight. Although the check-in route was a little convoluted, all the staff were very nice, genuinely warm, and unpretentious. Even though the hotel was almost fully booked, the front desk still upgraded our room type and arranged a high-floor room for us. The bellboy was also very thoughtful; he proactively offered an umbrella when we went out and helped us check ferry times. These small details left a great impression. The location is also excellent, making it very easy to hail a taxi. The hotel is right next to a pier, and it takes about ten minutes to get to Hung Hom by ferry, which is incredibly convenient. There's also a shopping mall nearby, perfect for daily meals, shopping, and stocking up on essentials. The North Point Exploration Package was the biggest surprise. It guides guests to experience small local shops, many of which I probably wouldn't have discovered on my own. The shop owners were all very welcoming, and the value of the vouchers was substantial, easily enough for a small brunch for two, providing a real taste of local life. Overall, although this hotel isn't huge and leans towards a business style, its service, comfort, location, and the local exploration experience it offers are all outstanding. Especially after the unpleasant hotel experience the night before, this hotel became a truly wonderful part of my Hong Kong trip. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Hong Kong.

The hotel is good. The location is excellent, close to many famous restaurants, and it's easy to walk around. There's an MTR station downstairs. However, the reception was slow; it took 20 minutes to get the key card, and everyone else around me had already left. The hotel doesn't provide water or amenities, but you can buy them at a reasonable price. I'd recommend having a water dispenser if you're not going to provide water. The breakfast was just average, not a lot of variety. But if I were to stay again, I would, because I really liked the location.

This hotel is always my first choice because of its excellent location, making it incredibly convenient to get to West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station, the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, and Elements Cinema. However, with fewer tourists recently, the room rates fluctuate significantly. I wouldn't recommend booking too far in advance. I booked two months ahead, and when I contacted Trip.com and the hotel about canceling due to price changes, the hotel refused. Trip.com, however, compensated me for the price difference. I’d recommend bringing your own toiletries and slippers – the hotel's slippers are as flimsy as paper and practically unusable. I've spoken to the cleaning staff multiple times about it, and they say there's nothing they can do. Despite that, it's still a great hotel for tourists, and the staff are very polite and enthusiastic. Both times I've stayed recently, I've been able to check in early, probably due to the low occupancy. A big thank you to Trip.com! And the lobby service desk, which offers luggage storage, has always been friendly over the years. Facilities: Good👍 This time I stayed in a room near the stairs and it was great👍 The hallway was spacious and the elevator was large~

On a business trip, I once again stayed at the Nina Hotel Tsuen Wan West, located at 8 Yeung Uk Road. It's conveniently situated near Tsuen Wan Plaza, Tsuen Wan Park, Yeung Uk Road Market, Tsuen Wan West MTR Station, Tsuen Wan Plaza, and The Mills. The transportation is excellent, and there are plenty of dining and entertainment options! The hotel is divided into high and low blocks, reaching up to 87 floors, making it the tallest five-star hotel in the New Territories. Below the hotel, there's a shopping mall and office space. Inside, you'll find the flagship Chinese restaurant 'Rú', the all-day buffet restaurant Café Circles, and the trendy pastry brand Nina Patisserie. The hotel also boasts a spacious outdoor swimming pool and a well-equipped fitness center, allowing guests to fully relax and unwind. The room size is ample, and basic amenities are comprehensive. Besides local basic channels, the TV also offers cable and satellite TV. However, it's a pity there's no access to streaming platforms like Netflix and Disney+! The bathroom even has a bathtub, which I appreciate for a relaxing soak! Thanks to the hotel's height, you can enjoy panoramic views of Tsuen Wan and the Ting Kau Bridge, which is truly invigorating. The price is reasonable, offering great value for money!

The hotel's location is excellent. You can take the A21 bus from the airport directly to the hotel entrance. If you're over 65, you get a 50% discount on the bus fare, which is about HKD 15. It's a good idea to set up your Hong Kong Alipay or WeChat Pay at the airport to avoid the hassle of buying and refunding an Octopus card. The room was clean, and the facilities were generally good, though the electric kettle was quite old and had some limescale on the outside. I wish the coffee cups were larger ceramic ones; they were too small to brew proper coffee, and you'd only get a sip or two. Toiletries and mineral water are not provided in the room, so you need to buy them. Water from the machine in the lobby on the first floor costs HKD 3 a bottle, which is much cheaper than buying from a convenience store. When leaving for the airport, the bus stop is near Mong Kok MTR station. If you don't have much luggage, you can take one MTR stop to transfer there. Overall, I'm satisfied with the hotel.

This time, I didn't plan ahead. My return trip was suddenly delayed, and I needed to switch hotels last minute, so I just booked one nearby. I was genuinely amazed by this place! For around 1100, the room was incredibly spacious, completely unlike the 'every inch of land is precious' small rooms I always hear about. It had two bathrooms, a huge bed, two TVs, and a large bathtub with a separate shower. The amenities were also super comprehensive, including a universal adapter and complimentary bottled water in the room. I truly recommend room 1042! They also have all the disposable items for children, which you can ask for at the front desk. Highly recommended! It's also quite close to the MTR station. Staying here felt uniquely relaxing. It's not the usual stiffness of a business hotel or the looseness of a typical resort; it's more like a gentle embrace, a 'hidden gem in the city.' As you turn off the bustling Nathan Road into the hotel's driveway, the noise instantly fades. The room size is a luxury by Hong Kong Island standards. The enormous floor-to-ceiling windows transform the Victoria Harbour skyline into a living mural. The soft earth tones, velvet and leather accents, and books about Hong Kong on the shelves make it feel as comfortable as a friend's home. The bedding is exquisite, and the lighting is meticulously designed – no harsh glare, just warm, layered illumination. Breakfast is à la carte; I enjoyed eggs Benedict with a sea view. In the evening, I'd head to DarkSide for jazz, where the bartender crafted cocktails based on my mood. If I didn't feel like going downstairs, room service was prompt and excellent. The best part is the direct elevator access to K11 Musea, meaning you can step out and explore art exhibitions or grab a bite at Ichiran Ramen. It's a seamless transition between vibrant city life and tranquility. The sixth floor's Asaya feels more like a lifestyle center, complete with a shallow pool, thermal baths, and meditation spaces. Before a spa treatment, you can choose your preferred essential oils and music, and the therapists are incredibly gentle. Lounging on a chair, gazing at the sea view, time just seemed to stand still.

There was a wide variety of desserts, each served in a small portion, which is great for people who like to try different things. As it's a family-friendly hotel, the facilities are perfect for families with kids; the pool isn't too deep and they provide life jackets in various sizes. There's no bottled distilled water in the room, but you can refill the provided bottle at the water dispenser in the hallway. I treated myself to a 'me time' getaway and a visit to the Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo. Choosing Regal Airport Hotel was the perfect decision once again. The Executive Floor sea view room is much more open than the garden view, and you can even watch planes land in the morning. It's a shame it was a yellow rainstorm again; the view would have been even better on a clear day. The room isn't huge, but the double bed is a good size, which was great for solo occupancy. Connecting my phone via Bluetooth to the Korean brand TV to listen to my own music was more appealing than watching TV. The only issue was the air conditioning, which would automatically turn off and then turn back on when the temperature rose slightly. So the room would suddenly go quiet or the AC would kick in with a noticeable sound. Breakfast was decent, but nothing special. There was no live egg station, just a large platter of scrambled eggs and boiled eggs, so the selection felt a bit limited. I remember last year they had freshly cooked noodle soup for breakfast, but not this year. The hotel's restaurant also participates in a food waste reduction program; you can buy a 'cake blind box' for HKD 103 via a certain app. The two cheesecakes I got were really delicious.
