After arriving in Shimla via the Toy Train( which is highly recommended),you firstly have to navigate your way via traffic jams which is no mean feat.Fortunately local drivers know how to cope.As you leave the terraces of houses, you begin to climb through the heavily wooded forests before you arrive at the entrance to Wildflower Hall. It’s a substantial building with turrets reminding you of a Bavarian Castle and as you arrive ,the superb staff ‘kick in’ straight away. Our bedroom had lovely views which on a clear day, would allow you to see the snow covered Himalaya’s.All the amenities are provided which you would expect and the beds are most comfortable. The Restaurant is served by attentive and helpful staff and the broad menu would suit the majority of visitors.Quality and presentation of our meals were first class. The Breakfast buffet was a real test of what should I start with and what should I finish with.A most impressive start to the day. We went on a short guided walk through the forests as sunset was arriving and the peace and tranquility was most welcome after a busy day exploring Shimla. So in summary,a lovely hotel In beautiful surroundings with lovely staff to look after you.We would highly recommend a visit.

We had booked 3 rooms for our family at Radisson Kufri from 30th April to 3rd May 2022. The property is new, clean and has a lovely view. I particularly liked the lobby which had an 'old English inn' appeal to it. The rooms are well-decorated and are decent sized. After reading some reviews on the internet, we had booked superior rooms but realized that they have a 'wall view'. Specially the superior rooms in the wing which has the restaurant are very dark because they have a wall very close to the window. If you are interested in a good view, then either request for superior rooms with valley view at the time of booking or book a delux room. We had one superior room in the restaurant wing which we were slightly unhappy about. The hotel upgraded us to a delux room in the other wing the next day after check-in and did not charge us anything extra for it. Really appreciate this! I would like to thank Siddharth, Aditya, Rahul and others for ensuring that we had a pleasant stay. Considering that Radisson Kufri is a five-star property away from Shimla town, expect the food prices to be on the higher side. But the restaurant amazed us with yummy food during our entire stay. The breakfast buffet had an elaborate spread and everything was delicious. We also tried the dinner buffet on our last night and were again not disappointed by the quality and taste of food. Special thanks to Chef Rajesh Rana for himself checking on with us about the food quality and also the complimentary beetroot halwa which was very tasty. One of the family members was fasting on one of the days and had certain dietary restrictions which were catered to well by the chef. Some things that the hotel can improve on in the future would be to add more staffs at the restaurant during breakfast (they are already working on this). The hotel can also carry out periodic inspections of the entire facility for regular maintenance. For example - There was a bit of a leakage into the bedroom from a small gap between the bathroom glass and the wall in one of the rooms that we stayed in. Other than these minor issues, the staffs at Radisson Kufri left no stone unturned to delight us regularly with their service. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Recently visited Taj Theog with my family of 4, including teen aged kids. We had a fantastic experience! Starting with the Villa, which had amazing amenities and a gorgeous balcony view into the valley. The food was great but it was mostly the Taj service that is exceptional. From the minute we entered the hotel to our trip back, we were treated like royalties. My son has sever food allergies and the resort made their chef available to us to discuss our options. This happened every time we ate! The kitchen staff was very diligent to make sure nothing got contaminated. Very thankful for the care they took. The hotel had other activities that we enjoyed, walks on a trek was fantastic, our guide was local and knew how people lived with nature. We had an amazing experience with local villages who invited us to their home, allowed us to interact with their cow and her calf. We used the table tennis and pool table, the temperature controlled pool and other amenities. My personal highlights were the sun rise through the mountains and the tracks we took. My only suggestion is for the resort to invest more into their travel desk. Road is the only option to travel to this resort, but in reality there are flights and Heli Taxi services from Shimla airport that can be great options for guests who want to save the 6 hour road trip one way. Thanks

Great hotel, great location and courteous staff and its the hotel is a heritage building. You can feel the history. Room comfort and food outlets are excellent. Breakfast is good with mix of indian and western choices. Restaurant too offers the mix at great taste. Ver helpful staff and front desk. The hotel is located right next to the famous mall road of Shimla, walking distance, ***y shopping and food outlets available ***** the road including branded shopping. The only down side is there is no vehicle access to the entrance of the hotel due local restriction, no vehicle road. One have to climb up 250m stairs, the hotel provides help to pick you luggage. Physically challenged and the elderly will find it challenging. There is option to use public electric lift 500m away and walk to the hotel. I will certainly choose this hotel in the future if I am visiting Shimla.

Depending on where your room is located, it can be a bit of a maze of steps, elevators and outside walks. Guest rooms are however very nice, they have all the amenities one would need and nicely furnished. The fridge in the bedroom also contains a freezer compartment complete with ice tray (no mini bar in ours). The Wi-Fi in the rooms however is very poor at times and whilst my iPhone was able to connect sometimes my iPad didn’t at all. If you rely on internet other than mobile signals such as 4G or 5G then look elsewhere. There is no bar as such, but drinks are available in the Lobby/Lounge area. I was able to buy alcohol late afternoon but a fellow traveler was not apparently until 7.00pm Restaurant is located away from the main lobby on a different floor and accessed from outside. Food and service was excellent.

We booked here at the last minute as our reserved hotel proved to be terrible. It was such a relief to be warmly greeted and given a chance to check the room before confirming. For the price it was an excellent room with Aircon, comfortable bed and all facilities. We are here every night and the food was good and an extensive menu. All the staff were very helpful and Deep in particular made sure we were well looked after. The only small negative is that the WiFi isn't great.
