Spain is a truly beautiful country with a deep history and culture, and it is no wonder that it attracts travelers from all over the world. In my experience, knowing transportation costs in advance is essential to making the most of a trip there.

The cost of transportation in Spain varies depending on the mode of transportation and the distance traveled.

  • Train: A high-speed train ticket from Madrid to Barcelona typically costs around $47–$81, depending on how far in advance you book. If you're looking for the best deals, low-cost operators occasionally offer promotional tickets for as little as $10.

  • Rental car: Renting a car in Spain costs around $28–$60 per day. Keep in mind that prices are generally lower in the off-peak season and can be higher if you rent at the airport.

Spain also offers various transportation passes and discount tickets for visitors. For example, the Spain Rail Pass allows international travelers to enjoy multiple high-speed train journeys with a choice of standard or comfort seating. A Standard Seat pass starts at $240 for 4 journeys and goes up to $503 for 10 journeys, while a Comfort Seat pass ranges from $330 to $688.

The SIM card performed flawlessly during our trip to Budapest, Milan, and Acqui Terme – we had excellent service throughout the entire trip. Recommended for those traveling in Europe and needing reliable and affordable service!

This SiM card worked fairly smoothly in Iceland and the Faroe Islands, and the eSIM is very convenient to install—just tap a QR code on your phone. The price is reasonable, and I would consider buying it again. However, the customer service staff may not be very knowledgeable about SiM cards, so you have to carefully read the coverage details of each SiM card yourself, and sometimes you have to take a gamble.

Tested this plan many times on a couple of different phones and routers, for border hops across most of Europe. Works well with all operators everywhere, including unrivalled Swisscom service across Switzerland's mountains and tunnels, Also, one of the very few esims in this price range to cover Northern Macedonia, used with immense pleasure with full service on an overland trip from Tirana to Ohrid.

There is continuous awe everywhere you go .. if it’s the museum, the castle, or the gardens, the amount of care and details all over this place is beautiful and amazing. Tips: go early in the morning as it started to get busy around 1 pm, but also around that time it was super hot and exhausting. Also, book your ticket in advance as it sells out easily. Reasons to Recommend: a piece of unmoved history that you will be in awe of the whole day.

A monument frozen in time, it’s a great experience and loved every moment. It would take you about 3 hours to walk around, so be prepared. We didn’t get the extra ticket with the castles, but it was still an amazing beautiful place with the gardens and the free museum to visit. Make sure you always bring your passport. I didn’t bring mine but they helped me figure it out and was able to walk in just fine!

The place is stunning! The Generalife Gardens are a true gem of the Alhambra. Perhaps the Nasrid palace would come second in my ranking after the gardens. Roses, lavender, irises, cypresses, orange trees, and countless other flowers grow here. It's only April, and work is still underway to plant new plants in the gardens, but even now, everything is a delight. The air is filled with incredible aromas. There are fountains and fountains all around, even a staircase with a water channel, and viewing platforms offering breathtaking views of the Alhambra and Granada. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail. This is a place where you can spend the whole day, enjoying the cool, murmuring water, the aromas, and the vibrant colors on a miserable day. Unfortunately, the day turned out to be cloudy and rainy. But even the clouds couldn't spoil the views of this magical place.
