Novotel Xi'an Bell Tower is located right in the city center, right next to the Bell Tower, making getting around super convenient! There's even a direct shuttle bus right outside the hotel. The room amenities were great and the environment was spotless! I stayed for three days during the National Day holiday: the hotel service was exceptionally attentive, and the breakfast was rich with great local specialties. Lovely hotel, we had a huge room with 2 TVs and probably one of my favourite showers out of hundreds of hotels. The breakfast was great, staff very friendly and great location right at the heart of Xian and only 30-40min by Didi from XianBei (North Station). The exterior of the hotel didn't do it justice, but once you are in the lobby everything is taken care of. Drum and Bell towers are both easily walkable 10-15min stroll through restaurant streets and make a lovely sunset visit (open till 9pm) and wandering around the exciting if slightly chaotic street food vendors of the Muslim Quarter just next to the towers are well exploring. Get some Biang Biang or a Xian traditional Chinese Burger. The Metro is also about 10-15 mins walk roughly near the drum tower which can take you to Huaqing Palace in about 50mins North East of the city (1 simple line change) I suggest you get entry tickets and shuttle for both palace and Terracotta Warriors (+10 mins shuttle from Huaqing Palace).FromPHP 4,805

The location is close to Chang乐 Gate and Yongxingfang, but you'll need to bike or take a ride-share to the subway. We mostly used taxis to get around. The decor is a bit dated, but the lobby has a distinct Shaanxi character, and the lighting and other details create a nice ambiance. The in-room amenities are complete but also quite old; they really should consider replacing things like the hair dryer. Breakfast was decent, with good roujiamo (meat burger), youpo lazi (oil-splashed chili sauce), and shepherd's purse wontons. The children enjoyed the zenggao (steamed glutinous rice cake) and black rice porridge, though the salad bar was a bit limited. The service was good. The front desk was excellent, and the service for the hot water basin beef in the restaurant was great. The lady making roujiamo was enthusiastic, and the housekeeping staff even replenished my bath bags when they noticed I like to take baths. This hotel is located right next to Xi'an's Bell Tower, in a very bustling area. Places like Chang'an Grand Bazaar and Eight Hundred Li Qin Chuan are just downstairs, making dining incredibly convenient and lively. Personally, I found it very convenient, and it's also close to the subway entrance.
Service: I thought the service was very warm. I asked if they had well-done fried eggs, and the lady making eggs in the breakfast restaurant specially made two well-done eggs for me.
Hygiene: Good, though there was still a slight smell of renovation in the room. However, as long as the window was open, the smell disappeared.FromPHP 3,016

It was a pleasant stay with the very reasonable price with breakfast provided.
But what it shocked us was the room we requested is FULLY NON SMOKING ROOM and the signage display a non smoking room level, you still can smell heavy cigarettes on the floor, even you can spot the cigarette smoke under the light clearly. I think the hotel caters the group tours and the local guests were arranged on the same floor and they open their doors and fully, chi-chatting to next door loudly and smoking in the same time with fully ignoring the signage warning. This is the only unpleasant way with our experience on staying 2 nights here.
Oh ya, by the way the hotel should limit the tour agent on hard selling their local package tour to the guests too repetitive. We have arranged our tour and told them all were booked in advanced, but their hard sell attitude has annoyed us many times while entering or exiting the hotel.

My first time trying this place, and I thought it was great! I booked the cheapest room, which I think was a 16-person dorm, but the front desk lady upgraded me to a 12-person one. I even extended my stay for another night.
The environment inside is quite peaceful. Everyone in the common areas is pretty respectful, except for a few loud shouts during billiards sometimes!
Oh, and there were a lot of foreigners, couples mostly, chatting among themselves – it had a nice vibe.
Since it was my first time, I wasn't familiar with everything and didn't prepare toiletries. When I went to shower, I even saw two guys coming out of the same stall, which honestly stunned me a bit.
However, the privacy in the restrooms and shower rooms is excellent; they're all enclosed. The hot water comes on quickly, the water pressure is strong, and everything is clean.
Everyone seemed pretty well-behaved. I mostly kept to myself, though, and didn't really interact with anyone. At one point, a foreigner asked me in English if he could use a stool. I honestly didn't understand anything he said, but I got his meaning and just waved my hand. He must have thought I was refusing him because he started to leave. I was so flustered I couldn't speak, just waving my hands around like fans, trying to convey my meaning. He must have seen my panic and understood, so he moved the stool. Only then could I relax and continue drinking my hot water alone. (I saw the front desk staff, both a guy and a lady, speaking English with the foreigners, and I was so envious! Ugh, I can only read English; I can't understand or speak it. I really need to practice my listening and speaking skills. I'll try my luck again next time.)
Overall, I think it's a pretty good place.
Oh, and its location is fantastic, right by the Bell Tower. But make sure you exit the correct subway station, or else a directionally challenged person like me will spend almost an hour wandering around trying to find it!FromPHP 400

Upon entering, we found the layout to be very well-designed. Love love love this hotel!!! I stayed with my friend in a 2 bed 2 bath room for 8 nights and it was extremely spacious and comfortable. The rooms were very clean and the beds super super super comfy ( I could sleep it in all day but my itinerary was super full). The photos online are quite true to the actual room. They had extremely good service too, starting from the airport pickup, where they were on time and the car was spacious and luxurious! We did the 5 seater sedan at RMB100, the price is comparable to a didi premium but the difference is that they would track your flight and made sure to you were taken care of. The hotel even had Butler service and was very attentive, I could even get them to help store my friend's birthday cake sent from the local cake shop and send it up to us when we were back. The laundry service was handy for a long stay, it was easy to use (and we were on the same floor so it felt like home to just go to and from our room to the laundry room). Honestly, this hotel completely exceeded my expectations. I had seen very negative reviews about it on Xiaohongshu, mainly saying it was too old, and Ctrip also listed it as a 2012 hotel. However, my actual stay found it quite new, and none of those mentioned flaws were present.
I initially booked it just for its convenient location, expecting a 150-yuan experience for a 1500-yuan price. Yet, the overall actual feeling was comparable to the Seven Oceans Hotel in Xiamen. The room had a bidet, a large bed, welcome fruit, and they even offered a complimentary breakfast for my child. The front desk staff was incredibly warm and welcoming.
In short, all the negative reviews on Xiaohongshu were completely unfounded; it was far beyond what I expected. The only minor drawback was finding a hair on a bath towel when I opened it, but I won't dwell on that.FromPHP 6,603

What I liked most about the hotel is that it has a small children's pool with a higher water temperature than the adult pool, which made it very comfortable for my child to play in. We mainly chose this hotel because of this small pool. The service and hygiene were excellent. We were upgraded to a garden view room, which was very quiet and had a balcony (though it only overlooked trees with no particular view). The bathtub filled up quickly, and the water quality was clean. The lights in the room were a bit strange; the bathroom light would turn on automatically if you got up at night but wouldn't turn off automatically, requiring a trip to the master switch by the bed. There's a deposit, but WeChat Pay and Alipay are accepted, so you don't necessarily need to use a credit card. The deposit was refunded about an hour after check-out. I soaked in the cool breeze, the fragrant blossoms, and the gentle chirping of birds that seemed to whisper secrets. Every tiny flower here possesses a unique beauty; they don't need to be dazzling, yet their charm is utterly irresistible. It served as a beautiful reminder: you don't need to please anyone, and true happiness isn't given but earned through your own smile. I cherished the tranquility, the white swing nestled among flowers, and the vibrant green pomegranate trees adorned with their distinctive red blossoms. The shaded courtyard was a delight, featuring brightly colored rocking chairs, sun umbrellas, and a small pebble-built stream with stone and wooden bridges. In the stream, around twenty fluffy, super cute ducklings swam playfully, even hiding under lily pads when the sun grew strong. Two brown goats contentedly grazed on the lush green grass. I even playfully called out, 'Hello there, goat, can we be friends?' Haha, a unique soul indeed! The 'Eight-Point Black' rabbits were a constant favorite with the kids, and a proud white fox enjoyed its spacious cage – perhaps not its ideal home, but certainly one where its neighbors posed no challenge! Then there were the flocks of big white geese, honking away with gusto. There's also a vegetable garden, still growing. I hope to taste its fresh produce when I return – what a lovely thought! The evening scenery was enchanting, with countless small lights twinkling like stars in the sky. If you're feeling musical, you can even grab a microphone and sing a few songs. The rooms themselves were very comfortable, clean, and hygienic. For those with energy, brewing a pot of tea and chatting about life is a wonderful option. I love this place so much that I'll definitely be back. It's a perfect spot to record life's beautiful moments and ponder its many inspiring mottos.

Unfortunately i didn't take many pictures but recorded videos. I booked a room type as shown in the first but received something smaller as the one in the second pic, weirdly cut. I didn't notice it as first as i was distracted by the strong smoke smell and asked the lady to change, who tried to sell me a qin shi huang mausoleum tour. Then i was brought to a room type as the one in the first pic, that's when i realised that's what i initially had booked... but there was still a smoke smell and as i really had to use the toilet i simply thought of using the A/C and opening the window, hoping it'd get better. By the evening i got startled by someone knocking at the door only to realise it was someone knocking on my neighbouring door. That's when i realised there was a 1-2cm gap between the floor and door and why i heard that loud knock. I also noticed neighbouring doors were fine and even asked the neighbouring guests if they could hear me. Anyway; that's when i demanded for a second change and only then, when i was a bit assertive and insisting on a new room, did i get a proper room. But there was small issue with the 3rd room too, with the drainage as the water took around 5mins to flow away, making noise. But that wasn't an big issue. It seems like this hotel seems to follow the procedure to give problematic rooms to customers who seem easy-going, which is a known tactic to chinese people from china but not so to foreigners. Beside of that, my stay was pleasant, the breakfast was rich and they have a big variety. I just think it was a bit of a waste of time trying to sell those tobacco smell rooms to me. You can easily fix those by endorsing proper no smoking rules or use a filter machine before, removing smoke. Beside of the convenience as it's really close to all main attractions i just find those actions subpar. Which is an issue with whoever decides to implement such strategies.FromPHP 2,588

My stay at the W Hotel Xi'an was excellent. Although the hotel opened around 2014 and has been around for some years, the facilities are incredibly well-maintained. The design is vibrant, with a trendy cyberpunk style that cleverly merges with Xi'an's rich ancient history, bringing new life to the millennium-old city. The luxury isn't overt; it's hidden in every meticulous detail.
We booked a lake-view room, and the balcony view was stunning. Stepping out onto the balcony, you could overlook Qujiangchi Park, with the beautiful lake scenery stretching before you. The room offered a variety of pillows; the buckwheat and anti-snore pillows were very comfortable, and the bedding was soft, ensuring a great night's sleep. The hotel corridors and elevators also feature unique elements, perfect for taking photos.
A special thank you goes to Vera from Guest Relations for her thoughtful arrangements throughout our stay. She provided complimentary sightseeing bus tickets and a travel photography service. Our room also had welcome fruits and cocktails. The staff were friendly and responsive. The breakfast selection was extensive, offering both Western dishes and authentic local Shaanxi snacks, all of which tasted great. High-tech Zone Xi'an|5.38km from city center
During the National Day holiday, we decided to make a spontaneous trip to Xi'an. We chose Shangri-La because my family had a wonderful experience at the Guangzhou Shangri-La previously. Plus, the Xi'an Shangri-La has a great location, not far from the subway station, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. While it's not directly next to tourist attractions, the advantage is that it's quiet and not noisy.
Upon check-in, the front desk upgraded us to a garden-view room, which wasn't on the main road side and had an unobstructed view. The room was very spacious, and even though the hotel has been open for many years, the facilities are still well-maintained and very clean. Breakfast was extensive, with many local Shaanxi specialties; the 'roujiamo' (Chinese hamburger) and meatball soup were delicious.
Overall, the hotel environment is excellent, and the service is very attentive. We will definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Xi'an.FromPHP 5,614

The environment is clean and the service is great, with staff always ready to answer any questions. The decor is Chinese style, and it's quite quiet outside the window. There are three hotels inside, so it might be a bit tricky to find the exact location. Regarding the all-in-one control panel, once you press to turn everything off, it's quite fiddly to find the buttons to turn things back on. I was very satisfied with this stay. The room was spacious and not cramped, with a comfortable layout. The cleanliness was excellent; the bedding and bathroom were spotless, with no odors. All facilities and equipment were complete and worked well; the air conditioning, TV, and outlets were all functional. The shower had stable water flow, moderate pressure, and hot water came quickly, making for a great showering experience. The soundproofing exceeded expectations; I barely heard any noise from the hallway or outside at night, allowing for a very restful sleep. This is by far the best hotel I've stayed at in recent years!
The entire hotel staff is highly professional, and their excellent service is evident at every step of your stay. While waiting for a ride-hailing car in the lobby, staff members would proactively approach me to ask about my destination and offer guidance for travel if I had questions. When I was taking photos in the lobby, staff members would also come over to help me find good angles and assist with the pictures. Whether it was checking in, having breakfast, or being at the hotel's pool or bar... in every scenario during my stay, I felt meticulous and thoughtful service, with many proactive and attentive touches that made for a very comfortable experience.
I especially want to thank Flora Qiu Jianyue from the concierge team. We had three suitcases with us, and the booked car couldn't fit all of them, so we needed to move luggage back and forth. It was the scorching midday sun in Xi'an, and I was waiting in the shade with my three children. I called her over to avoid the sun, but she insisted on staying in the scorching sun to look after our luggage, helped us move it back and forth, and arranged for a different car. This small detail was truly heartwarming.
The hotel's predecessor was the historic People's Grand Hotel, now part of the Sofitel Legend brand. The building itself boasts a rich historical heritage, but it's impeccably maintained. The furniture and public areas are kept in pristine condition, appearing new and polished, and everything is meticulously cared for, striking a perfect balance between old and new.
The breakfast selection is abundant, and the taste is excellent. The toiletries provided in the room are Maison Caulières 'L'Aube des Sens,' with a sophisticated and gentle fragrance that I really enjoyed.
Both the hardware maintenance and the service awareness of all staff members are impeccable. You definitely shouldn't miss this hotel when you come to Xi'an.FromPHP 14,558

I frequently stay at Sheraton. Arriving very early this time due to an early morning flight, I was extremely exhausted and decided to ask the front desk if a complimentary early check-in might be possible. Seeing that a room was available, the staff went out of their way to request free early check-in for me, which was such a thoughtful touch. They even gave me a complimentary Starbucks coffee. The hotel room was very clean, and the facilities were decent. It was on a high floor, but the downside was the limited number of power outlets (though USB charging ports were available). The breakfast spread was excellent, and the staff were very courteous. The hotel's location is quite convenient, not far from the main attractions. This hotel deserves a five-star rating! I checked in on October 1st to a business twin room, and here's why it's so great:
1. **Room**: While not brand new, it's not old either. It was very clean and tidy, and you can really tell the quality of the decor and facilities from this established five-star hotel. The business twin room had large, bright windows.
2. **Food & Drink**: The room came with four complimentary bottles of water, a fruit platter, and two yogurts.
**Breakfast**: This was five-star hotel standard, with a variety of breads, tofu pudding, noodles, pork rib soup, and even poached fish and stir-fries – basically lunch-level fare! Highly recommended!
Just about 200 meters to the right after exiting the hotel, there are many restaurants, including a popular BBQ joint and a hot pot place. They were packed with people eating outside, so they must be delicious. However, I had already eaten and didn't try them.
3. **Location**: It's less than a 5-minute walk from Datang Xishi Metro Station. The airport shuttle bus stop is across the street at the Civil Aviation Building. I left at 10 AM on October 2nd, and despite a bit of traffic on Fengcheng Road, I reached T5 Terminal in 50 minutes.
4. **Service**: The front desk staff were very proactive, enthusiastic, and genuinely helpful, not just going through the motions.
5. **Price**: On the evening of October 1st, a business twin room was only 358 RMB, including two breakfasts. Keep in mind that on the same night, even budget hotels like Hanting (Rujia) were over 300 RMB.

Booked this place with friends for our trip, and it totally exceeded our expectations! As soon as we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was much more spacious than we anticipated. Even with three beds, it didn't feel cramped at all. The bedding was soft and clean, with no musty or strange smells, so we slept incredibly well. The little details in the room were also very thoughtful. The small round table and chairs by the window were perfect for holding our things and chatting. Choosing Xi'an Weimu Hotel was a smart decision for my transfer at Xi'an North Station on my way to Urumqi. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from Xi'an North Station, which was incredibly convenient. The shuttle driver was very enthusiastic and thoughtful, providing detailed information during the pick-up, as you can see in the pictures. The hotel room was clean, hygienic, and tidy; our business king room was very spacious. Since we had an early morning high-speed train, we didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but they provided a good quality packed meal for us. The hotel is located next to a shopping complex, making dining and shopping very convenient. I would definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Xi'an.
