Stayed here for one night before an early flight. The room was clean and comfortable, view to the Airport and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The on-site restaurant is currently under renovation, but this was well managed with no construction noise at all. I have always stayed in Merdeka Palace and Suites each time I go to Kuching because of location. For this trip I stayed in Room 1301 from 7 - 10 Dec 2025.
Pleasant surprise during my stay at the 2-bedroom suites because some refurbishment have been done.
The old carpets were replaced with SPC flooring. Old furnishings were replaced with new curtains, 2-seater settee and a Samsung flat TV.
The 2-bedroom suite is really spacious and you get a good view of the city centre facing the Dewan Undangan Negeri building.

Overall, the staff were very nice and humble. The location is quite good, as you can easily reach many places from here.
The only feedback I would give is that the water dispenser should be placed in the corridor instead of requiring guests to request it from staff, so we can refill our bottles by ourselves.
The hotel is also not near the main road, so it is generally quiet at night. Occasionally, the steamboat stall near the hotel plays music quite loudly, but it did not really bother me.FromSAR 65

To best describe this place, it's like a mini paradise atop a cliff overlooking the beautiful sea, with a twist of staying in large cylindrical concert culverts. You can easily spot it along the road to Damai with its large circular logo at its gate. It was closed upon my arrival at 3pm, but due to the main entrance being easily seen from the receptionist area, it didn't take long for them to open the gate, and I just drove right in. The receptionist was very polite and welcoming, decently professional as well, after checking us in we were given a quick tour around, highlighting the facilities and public areas. The room itself, being quite quirky in its own way, isn't too difficult to maneuver around, as long as you don't rush yourself and knock yourself around the relatively tiny room. Adequate steps are built to help climbing up and moving around, with simple storage spots around the bed, which by itself takes up about half of the room. The other side of the room is the bathing area, which I would say is surprisingly spacious enough to use. So a bed and a bathing area sums up the entire, unique cylindrical room. The hotel itself is nicely planned, guests can pamper themselves by picking their favorite spots located around the place, and enjoy a marvelous view of the sea. There's also a small private beach all the way down the cliff too. Facilities include swimming pools, sauna room, washer + dryer machines, gymnasium, library, etc. are pretty neat if you need them. I would say the place is great for couples, and a short refresher trip. I technically live in the city just half an hour drive away, but to catch a break from work and relax here for a day, I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat. Stayed here for one night before an early flight. The room was clean and comfortable, view to the Airport and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The on-site restaurant is currently under renovation, but this was well managed with no construction noise at all. The free shuttle to the airport takes about 5 minutes, which makes this hotel very convenient for transit stays. Overall a pleasant, hassle-free stopover.

My corner Deluxe room is spacious (45 M2,) with separate sitting area and even a timber deck for kids or exercises. Big comfortable bed/firm mattress, clean shower/bath room with strong water pressure, window offers good view of Kuching city all way to Matang and Santubong.
Breakfast buffet offers both Malaysian & Western hot food, fruits, salad and yoghurt, tea, coffee, teh tarik and fruits drink.

What i love the most is the pillow...so comfortable and i forgot to ask what the brand is because i feel so good while sleeping since i have a back pain. The food is delicious especially laksa sarawak..feel soooo good.The location is also nice within tourist attraction.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile. The breakfast area was exceptionally clean, and the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed being able to prepare my own Laksa. The location is also very convenient, close to restaurants, a mall, and the Sarawak River.

This is my third time stay in this hotel. The room was great and clean. We were assigned next to the swimming pool and there is slightly noise when there is ppl passing. This hotel is right in front of the famous Kuching landmark - the 7 cats. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The toilet also comes with bidet and shower was good. Breakfast buffet was also good with a decent selection of Sarawak food as well. Nearby Carpenter street too! Overall even though its a little dated it is still a very good choice to stay.

Bed is okay, ac is wonderful. Bathroom might need to upgrade a little. Pretty basic hotel.

Location:Very close to airport. Below is 7-11,and mamak store. Very good location.
Cleaniness:Bed sheet has stain ,toilet have small crocoach. Toilet water stuck. Room is smelly
Facility: Toilet door no lock. Have hot water. Provide soap and towel only. Charger got two, one beside the bed, one behind the tv. Behind the tv have limited spare, cant use for phone charger
