A Mixed Stay Near Hauptbahnhof We stayed at this hotel for one night and found it to be a ok option overall, especially for its convenient location. On the positive side, it’s situated right near the Hauptbahnhof, making it an ideal base for a quick day of exploring the city via public transport. The breakfast staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly, creating a pleasant morning vibe. While the breakfast selection wasn’t extensive, it covered all the essentials:fresh bread, fruits, cereals, and hot items—to fuel you up for the day ahead. That said, there were some notable drawbacks that detracted from the experience. As soon as we stepped out of the elevator on the 5th floor, there was a strong, unpleasant plumbing odor coming from the toilet area in the hallway. Unfortunately, this issue persisted in our room (583), where the smell emanated from the bathroom. Even after leaving the window open all day, it lingered upon our return, which was quite off-putting. The hotel was fully booked, according to the receptionist, so we didn’t pursue switching rooms. Additionally, the Hocker near the tea table was heavily worn and tattered, almost as if it had been chewed by a cat for years. The mini-bar was disappointingly empty, with just a single bottle of water provided. Sauna was off at 10:30am. At €150 per night, this hotel feels overpriced for what it offers— I’d recommend exploring other nearby alternatives for better value and comfort.

The room is very big. It is on the second floor. You can walk out of the room and there is a small garden. The bed is very comfortable, not too soft or too hard, great. The Berlin Gate is right outside the door, and the subway entrance is less than 50 meters away. The transportation is extremely convenient. The breakfast is great, there are many waiters, coffee, tea, and food that needs to be waited for can be ordered and asked to be delivered by the waiter. In short, the experience is very good. We stayed at this hotel last weekend and had a great stay overall. We particularly like the extremely friendly and helpful staff, who raise the level of service to a high level. The valet parking was excellent, the cleanliness throughout the hotel was impeccable, and our room was in very good condition. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the breakfast. We would have expected more for a hotel of this category and price range. The hot dishes were unfortunately cold, and the famous currywurst without casing was fried for far too long. The biggest criticism for us, however, was the quality of the baked goods - they were rock hard, even worse on Sunday. The selection of cheese and sausage was also rather boring and not very creative. In addition, breakfast was the same on both days, which is often more varied in comparable hotels. Another point is the chairs in the breakfast room, some of which had very worn or broken leather - a replacement would be desirable. Despite these criticisms, our stay was very pleasant overall. The hotel is really great, and the whole team deserves a lot of praise! We would be happy to come back.

I would recommend this hotel because the location is great - easy to access transit and you can walk to many museums and attractions in about 20 minutes.

The room had a terrible smell. It smelled of an old unwashed man. Dirty carpets, dirty towels, holes in bed linen. Overall cleanliness leaves much to be desired. I appreciate it that after my complaint nice staff gave me a different room, but that new room was smelly as well, I figured it was because of the bad air conditioning system, and I guess old untended carpets also contributed to the problem. In the new room the towels looked clean, but they smelled of fried patties. Overall, it was an awful experience, it was hard to breathe with the air conditioner on as it made the room stinky and humid. That's why I decided to refrain from using it. Luckily, the temperature outside did not exceed +30°C during my stay. This is definitely not a 4-star hotel!!! It barely deserves even 1 star.

It’s just few steps away from the Berlin Wall museum and Charlie Checkpoint, 12mins from the metro station to reach other tourist attractions. It was quite a surprise to discover that Intercity is part of the Huazhu Group, located right next to a Steigenberger hotel. The room itself was excellent, just a five-minute walk from Berlin Hbf. Although the room faced the train platforms, it was incredibly quiet. The windows offered excellent soundproofing; once closed, you couldn't hear a thing. They also charge 20 Euros for early check-in, which wasn't clearly communicated beforehand. Official check-in time is after 3 PM. During my stay, a staff member entered my room without knocking. I reported this to the front desk, but there was no compensation or apparent apology.

Pros: only thing I can think of is the location. 10mins walk to the bus and main train station. Cons: I checked-in at the late evening and entered my room finding a bathrobe and slippers lying on the bathroom floor, which gave me the impression that the room has not been properly cleaned. Service was not great either, it took 1 hour and three calls to finally have someone to replace the robe and slippers on the floor. Old and poor infrastructure as a 5-star hotel. The light by the bed was broken and cannot be switched off and shower always comes with super hot water first. Have to switch to another room since they can’t fix the light issues. The breakfast was 45 euros per person at the counter, but quality and choices were just average. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel given the price. If people want to live close to the train station, it’s better to find alternatives.

A nice hotel, but the two bedroom is not really a two bedroom. It's more like a one bedroom plus the living area converted into the second sleeping area. I find the ”two bedroom” room type too squeezy for 4 pax. We cannot even eat together on the same table, no table space and not enough chairs. Also, although there is a lift, our floor is not at the lift landing, it's in-between the lift landing, so for those carrying big luggage, it was tedious, not recommended. Otherwise, the room facilities are good, the location is great. They also allow us to leave our luggage there while waiting for check-in, so that is nice too.

A really lovely hotel, the rooms decor was great, the colors, set up and furniture all matched well with each other and was a visual feast for the senses. Very convenient as the hotel was just a few mins walk away from Theresienwiese station. Only downside is they don't have toothbrushes and slippers but just bring your own and you'll be fine. Laundry is free too, and they have a small gym for you to get workouts in. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and I love how they have their own social events such as a drinks party and movie screenings. I will definitely stay in this hotel again!!
