For this spring break trip, we chose the InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland. The hotel is a bit older, but it's very well-maintained. They proactively upgraded our room and even gave complimentary breakfast to our child. The mini-bar was also free. We also got some great shots from the travel photographer. I especially want to mention the bathroom mirror – the heating was excellent, so there was no fog at all, which shows great attention to detail. The full copper Hansgrohe fixtures truly show their quality through consistent use, and the pure white bathroom carpet made me feel right at home. The upgraded dinner package was so generous that the three of us couldn't even finish it. I highly recommend the Roasted Squab, Stir-fried Pea Shoots with Wuliangye, and the Caramel Pudding 🍮. The squab was crispy but not greasy, and the pea shoots had the fragrant aroma of Wuliangye and were incredibly tender – exactly to my liking 😜. The caramel pudding had a sweet caramel top layer, with the pudding underneath being just sweet enough, a perfect balance 😋. We left absolutely stuffed! I also want to give a special shout-out to our butler, Teresa, who provided service throughout our stay. She was meticulous and gentle, giving us timely reminders without ever making us feel disturbed. Teresa's service truly enhanced our experience at InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland. I believe we'll choose this hotel again next time and recommend it to our friends ❤️. P.S. The light and drone show at the Deep Pit was truly amazing – it left us with a 'wow' feeling 💗.

The shampoo and conditioner were excellent. What's more, they paid attention to every detail: the hairdryer was good, the duvet was soft, and most importantly, the desk and lamp were so thoughtful. I was in a rush and didn't take any photos, but overall, I highly recommend it. You can book with your eyes closed!

Extremely clean and tidy, with fantastic value for money! The room was spotless and odor-free, the bedding was soft and super comfortable, and the bathroom's wet/dry separation was a thoughtful touch. The front desk service was warm and attentive, making check-in and check-out incredibly fast. The surrounding area has convenient transportation, making it easy to find food and go shopping. The overall experience exceeded my expectations; I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm here. Highly recommended!

Clearly: Wow!! Amazing hotel and with a perfect price value balance. Well designed boutique hotel linked to a big mall walking distance, in the middle of Korea town. Great surroundings, walking distance to subway and nice lounge area at reception. The hotel a great breakfast. Super nice service! Just one matter which is really not is jot nice: they should have a printer for clients at reception area and most important: the toilets should have a brush in every room, but due whatever reasons this is often missing in many hotels in Asia. Can only recommend this place, 5 out 5!

Nice little hotel, but not for me. It is located right next to Sam's Club and that's always nice. Being able to eat Sam's pizza and hot dogs is always nice. The bed, while big, was not comfortable to me. I know everyone has their preferences on softness levels. When I stay at a hotel, l like mattresses I melt into because they are soft. Not that way here. But I know some people prefer these mattresses. They had a restaurant and bar that looked nice, but I didn't visit as I had dinner and drinks with others not staying at hotel. The real deal breaker for me was no refrigerator in my room. Some rooms may have them. Mine did not (that I could find at least). When I stay at a hotel for more than one night, a refrigerator is a must, either for leftover food or cold drinks. Also, for a superior queen room, I think it said balcony or terrace and sofa, none of which my room had. And for garden view... Definitely not a pretty garden, more like a cement walkway and Sam's. And lastly, no room service... I know it's not advertised as having room service... But paying nearly 500rmb a night, just having a club sandwich or dumplings available late night would be nice. Maybe work out a deal with Sam's. Colleague stayed at a hotel less than 10 mins away that was cheaper, had a bathtub, had a late night menu, and had a refrigerator. Staff were great! Very helpful! If I go back to area, not sure if I would choose again. The access to Sam's is nice. I'd like to try out their bar and restaurant. But the no refrigerator scares me off a bit.

Overall, it's a pretty good and unique hotel. You can watch any movie you want with the included streaming service, and the projector is excellent. The location is super convenient – great value for money! You can reach various public transport options like the subway and bus within 300 meters. There aren't many dining options right nearby, but it's not far from the commercial district and city attractions. The only downside is that the noise from the downstairs restaurant/bar and street traffic at night might be a bit disruptive for light sleepers, but the hotel provides all necessary amenities, which is a big plus.

I didn't leave Shanghai during the Dragon Boat Festival, so I chose Novotel Qingpu Excellence Hotel and visited Zhujiajiao. The hotel is located in Qingpu Industrial Zone, about half an hour's drive from Zhujiajiao. I booked a family suite, which is very large, with 2 bathrooms and 2 beds. The room layout is very cute, and the furniture, bedding and room configuration are all comfortable. The breakfast is mediocre, nothing special. Madge at the hotel front desk is thoughtful, and I manually like her 👍. In short, the hotel is very cost-effective 🙂

Our team building was a last-minute decision, and we chose Sun Island because it's relatively close and offers a good variety of activities. The villa having a mahjong table was a nice touch, and there was also a BBQ grill, which we unfortunately didn't prepare food for in advance. It would probably be even better to visit when the weather is warmer and flowers are blooming. Since it was a rushed trip, we didn't get to experience many of the island's attractions, but it seems like a great place to bring kids. P.S. I recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks, as prices on the island are high. Adult Mindfulness Healing Class (1 session): This complimentary class was quite good, but the air conditioning wasn't warm enough, so I felt cold lying down... Free Island Shuttle Bus: You need to call ahead to request a car, and it arrives very quickly.

The Anandi Hotel and Spa Shanghai has a strong focus on wellness and healing. It's a quiet environment, the rooms are comfortable, and the service is good. The buffet at Secret Garden Western Restaurant is indeed delicious, with fresh ingredients and a good variety. However, the hot spring experience is quite average and I wouldn't recommend it – there are few pools, and only three sauna rooms. The hotel is located within a park, so those looking for a room with a view should be aware that most rooms don't offer much in terms of scenery outside the window. Family-friendly facilities are limited, making it an average experience for those traveling with children; it's more suitable for adult relaxation.

A very satisfying trip! The hotel is located within the Disney Resort, directly opposite Bicester Village, and parking is super convenient. The hotel is new and well-maintained; I'm never disappointed when I come here. The room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities, drinks in the mini-fridge, and lovely bathrobes. It feels more like a resort than a hotel. The bathroom is separate and private, and the water quality is truly different! I'm a regular at GOKURAKUYU (a famous hot spring chain), and the water here really leaves your skin feeling smooth and your hair soft after bathing! Especially the open-air hot spring bath – it's so comfortable. There are also many great food options at Bicester Village directly opposite, so it's very pleasant to wander around after a bath, and the stars at night are beautiful. Highly recommended, perfect for a city getaway.

Title: Discovering a 'Little Kyoto' in Downtown Shanghai – Private Hot Spring Experience, 10/10! On a whim, I wanted to find a place to relax in a hot spring, and this hotel's Japanese garden and private onsen caught my eye. It absolutely did not disappoint! Location: Situated on Meichuan Road in Putuo District, it's a tranquil oasis away from the busiest city center, yet still conveniently located. There's a pedestrian street and shopping mall nearby, making dining and shopping easy. A taxi to Hongqiao transportation hub is also a quick ride. Ambiance: The moment I stepped through the hotel entrance, I truly felt transported to Kyoto. The Zen rock garden, red maple trees, koi pond, and even adorable rabbits and cats strolling around the courtyard created such a serene atmosphere. Every photo I took looked like it belonged in a magazine. Room & Private Onsen: We stayed in a Japanese-style king room, and the private hot spring tub, built from volcanic rock inside the room, was the absolute highlight! The hotel thoughtfully provided bath salts and a disposable tub liner. Soaking in it at night, all the day's fatigue just melted away. The bedding was also super comfortable, ensuring a fantastic night's sleep. Dining: I must praise 'Yakushima,' the Japanese restaurant on the first floor. For dinner, we ordered the seafood hot pot, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh. For breakfast, we chose the Japanese set meal – the nine-compartment presentation was exquisite, and enjoying breakfast with a view of the garden was so delightful. Guests also seem to get a discount on dining, which is a great value. Service: The attention to detail was excellent. Upon check-in, we received welcome fruits and a handwritten card, and at check-out, they even gave us a small wind chime as a souvenir – a very thoughtful touch. If you're looking for a hotel where you can truly relax and experience Japanese charm without leaving Shanghai, this place is definitely the top choice. I'll be bringing my family back for a second visit!

The hotel room facilities are good, with everything that should be there. The smoking area outside is also very beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is very good, it is self-service, and there are freshly made noodles to eat. If you are thirsty, you can go downstairs at any time to have some drinks and fruits, which are all included in the hotel package. Why the deduction? Like many reviews wrote, the water in the pool here is really too hot. It is the hottest of all the hot springs in Shanghai that I have been to. It feels too hot. I saw that several children could hardly soak in the water for a while. I don’t know why so many people complained. I saw that the management was still saying in the comments that it met the hot spring temperature requirements. What they said is that your water is too hot, and they are giving you suggestions. Everyone in the hot spring said that the water was hot, not that you violated any regulations... It takes talent to reply like this

Stayed here with some friends for a staycation. I stayed in the majiang room while my friends stayed in the regular room. Regular rooms were much cleaner and more comfortable, whereas the majiang room was a little dusty, had a lingering smell, and did not have a hairdryer. The Japanese style flooring and furnishings in the regular rooms were very cosy and atmospheric, but in the majiang room, the large ceiling space made it feel a bit bleak, the furniture was mismatched, and the decor nonexistent, it felt a bit like I was in a divorced uncle's garage. Majiang table and underfloor heating worked well, however, and we still had a pleasant stay. Location, right by Chuansha old town, was perfect for a staycation, with all the charm of a small town but the convenience of still being in Shanghai. I found the hotspring to be clean and pleasant, but a little underwhelming. Only two small pools, both at 37°c, would have preferred to have a hotter option and other facilities such as salt scrub or sauna. It was still nice enough, just not a highlight of the stay. Overall it was a comfortable stay. The facilities are very basic, but fine. It was a nice escape from the bustle of central Shanghai.

To be honest, I really like this hotel. First of all, it is pet-friendly It's really friendly (we brought a big dog and a small dog). The cleaning fee is free for the first one and 50 for the second one, which is very cost-effective. We also hope that parents can consciously pick up the poop~ We brought our own poop bags Facilities: There is a private bath outdoors. It is recommended to bring a swimsuit. It is really amazing and photogenic! And the water temperature is very good, always constant, not cold, very comfortable. The hotel also provides disposable bathtub bags, which is highly recommended! (A small suggestion is that I hope the boss will put an extra floor towel because the marble floor is slippery when we come out. It is recommended to put an extra one) Hygiene: To be honest, the hygiene is very good. The small details in the room are in place. We booked Pipa Tingyu with a yard. The room is very comfortable and the hygiene is very good. The shower room is also dry and wet separated. There is a smart toilet Environment: There is a large park outside the hotel. It is fully enclosed. You can let out a rope and run around without affecting the guests. They won't run out. It's very friendly! ! ! I really like this! The dog is very happy! (A small suggestion is that some parents may not have this habit. I also hope that the hotel can put more poop bags to improve the quality of some residents and make everyone more pet-friendly. Let's work together to build a more comfortable environment!) Service: The hotel's breakfast is really good! Auntie would ask you when you are ready to eat and prepare food in advance so that I can have a hot breakfast. It is really thoughtful! And always service with a smile! The overall feeling is very comfortable and makes people feel happy. The breakfast is very rich and the wonton is really delicious! (Haha, the wontons are so delicious that I can’t have enough!!) The girl at the front desk was also very enthusiastic and busy. I almost felt embarrassed! The hotel also offers a barbecue grill! I brought BBQ ingredients! They also enthusiastically prepared tableware and oil for me, which cost 90 per set! What's more, the electric grill prepared for us is in the yard of the room. It doesn't produce too much smoke and is more user-friendly. For barbecue novices like us, it's easy to use and won't burn the food! ! I love it! It’s really fun to have the dog around! Summary: This is a hotel I will definitely visit again! ! ! Really satisfied! I also urge all pet owners to truly live up to the qualities of a hotel’s friendly hosts! Only then can there be such a good continuation! Really a good experience, love it! ! Sisters can really rush! !

Location: Great, right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, very convenient for guests to explore on their own without needing to be guided all day. Ambiance: It seems to be an older hotel with a rather fancy, old-fashioned decor, not very modern. Service: It would be better if the lobby had a more formal and free waiting area for guests. Courier service convenience: Yes, there's a dedicated spot for packages, which was handy as I sent out many samples. Picking them up was quite easy. There are too few places to work on the first floor, only two tables, and one was already reserved. Very limited options, and the other seating wasn't suitable for laptop use. Really loved the experience in this hotel! Location is awesome, just cross one street and you are on your way to explore Nanjing Road where all the popular sports brands (think Adidas and Nike..just opposite one another), good food and lifestyle products are. People's Park is also a short walk away as with the hop on hop off bus stops. No complains about cleanliness, everyday when I return the room is neat and tidy, no dust or watermarks to complain about. The overall service is excellent, always service with a smile, very helpful and very efficient. One of staff by the name of Koi kindly helped me with late check out and it was done within minutes, no questions asked. This was my first time staying at this hotel, and here's a summary of the pros: 1. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient. You can step right out and catch Metro Lines 1, 3, or 4, and be in the bustling city center within a few stops. If you have heavy luggage, you can use the accessible elevator across the street at the express hotel to enter and exit the station. 2. The hotel is close to Shanghai Railway Station, with many fast-food restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making shopping and quick meals very easy. However, there were also some drawbacks: 1. The room cleaning was not thorough enough, especially the bedside table which had a noticeable layer of dust. It felt quite unpleasant. 2. I encountered cleaning staff in the elevator, management on my floor, and restaurant staff, but none of them greeted me. The service lacked basic courtesy. 3. The restaurant is located in the innermost part of the first floor, which already has poor natural light, and the lighting during meals was also dim, which negatively impacted the dining experience. 4. Restaurant management seemed lax; they didn't discourage guests from dining in room slippers or even bathrobes. 5. During breakfast, items like cheese and ham were placed on the same platter as fruit, which was an illogical arrangement. Getting items like corn required reaching over nine condiment dishes, which was both inconvenient and unhygienic. Overall, my experience during this stay was not very satisfactory.

A tranquil oasis in the heart of the city. The location is excellent: very close to Yuyuan Garden Metro Station Exit 7. It's also within walking distance to the Bund, Yuyuan Garden, and Jinling East Road Ferry Terminal. The Huangpu River cruise included in the package was fantastic; we enjoyed an hour of beautiful scenery from the boat. The hotel entrance is beautifully designed, and as soon as we arrived, the doorman proactively helped us with our luggage and escorted us to the elevator. The room was clean and tidy, with views of both the historic buildings along the Bund and the modern skyline of Lujiazui. It's a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city, and our whole family slept soundly. The breakfast offered a great variety of both Chinese and Western dishes, and the made-to-order noodle station was particularly outstanding. They even offer a sweet soup in the evening, and the mini-bar in the room was well-stocked. The attention to detail is truly impressive. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai.

Pros: 1. **Location:** Excellent. Situated by the Huangpu River in Lujiazui, it's a short walk to Super Brand Mall, the Riverside Promenade, and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. It's also close to Metro Line 2, making taxis and ferries easily accessible. IFC is right across the street. 2. **Breakfast Variety:** Offers a wide selection of Chinese and Western dishes, with particularly tasty bread. Cons: **Check-in Issues:** The check-in process was far from smooth and frankly, a terrible experience. The doorman service seemed to depend on who was on duty. On the day we arrived, perhaps due to the rain, there was no service at all, though it improved over the following days. We arrived at 4 PM that afternoon, and one of our rooms still wasn't ready. We were told it would take an estimated 20 minutes to clean, but we didn't get into the room until after 5 PM. **Dated Facilities & Housekeeping:** The hardware feels a bit old. Cleanliness was just okay; for example, the bathtub didn't have a disposable liner. The shampoo and shower gel were in large, communal bottles, and the quality wasn't great. **Subpar Housekeeping:** Housekeeping only made the beds and changed towels. All our clothes were left piled on the sofa, not neatly folded, and the tables weren't tidied. The bathroom toiletries were also left as is, without any organization. **Crowded Breakfast Experience:** During peak breakfast times, it gets very busy. Table clearing was incredibly slow, leading to a shortage of available seating.

Stayed one night at the Garden Hotel during the ***** New Year. Usually, it's around 600-700 RMB, but for CNY it was nearly 1000 RMB due to the premium. I wanted to experience staying in a historic building in Shanghai, and the Garden Hotel seems to be a relatively good value for money. The location is excellent; it has a large garden in such a prime area. You can easily walk to Huaihai Road and Fuxing Road. The service was also superb. It's rare to ask for one item from room service and have them bring a whole bunch of things [crying emoji], I was pleasantly surprised, especially since the hotel was fully booked during the ***** New Year. Thumbs up! Aside from the room being a bit small and dated, the toilet was the common smart type. Breakfast was Japanese style, which I wasn't quite used to. Even with a full house during CNY, there was a queue, but the efficiency was high, and you didn't have to wait long. Considering the location and service, I would likely choose this hotel again next time.

The room was comfortable, the bedding clean and soft, and the view was beautiful. For this price, the quality you get is amazing value for money. Conrad Shanghai will definitely be my top choice for my next visit to Shanghai. Highly recommend!

The hotel’s location is very good. It is about a 5-minute walk to a huge Starbucks, Nanjing West Road, the MRT station, and Wujiang Road, which has several nice bakeries and food options. This made getting around very convenient. There was also a 7-11 just across the road. However, the Premier Two-Bedroom Suite was disappointing for the price paid. The rooms are rather small, especially the master bedroom, where there was not enough space to place or open any luggage. We had to keep our luggage in the living room instead. The bathroom, particularly the shower area, looked very dated. The tiles appeared old and there was a musty smell, which was unpleasant. Another inconvenience was that the light switches were only on one side of the bed, making it very inconvenient to switch off the lights from the other side. The kitchenette was also very small. Cutlery was stored in a drawer above the bin, which was not ideal, and there were no extra plates provided. The tiles looked old with visible cracks, and some of the drawers were faulty. Overall, the room did not feel premium and felt overpriced for what was offered. The hotel rooms clearly need a glow-up to match the Kempinski brand and the rates charged. Additionally, the reception area was undergoing renovation, with no seating or waiting area. The pick-up and drop-off driveway is very narrow, only a small lane. When loading our luggage, we had to do so very quickly as other cars were waiting. The driveway would benefit from being more spacious. While the location is excellent, the room condition, layout, and facilities did not meet expectations for a Premier suite.

The room was quite spacious and very close to the subway station (Jing'an Temple, Exit 12, right next door). The elevator was also fast. The only minor inconveniences were the bathtub, which was a bit awkward, and having to pick up food deliveries from the locker downstairs. Other than that, everything else was good and satisfactory.

Whenever I visit Shanghai, I almost always stay at The Sukhothai, and have for several years now. The hotel boasts an excellent location, making both transport and dining incredibly convenient. The property is impeccably maintained, and the service is consistently gentle and attentive. It's clear that the hotel management team is professional and meticulous, which is precisely why I always choose The Sukhothai. The front desk staff, especially one gentleman, was very polite and upgraded my room, which allowed me to get some great rest. It was quiet and clean. Truly the best choice for staying in Shanghai.

The room was very clean. I originally booked one night with a Pearl Tower view and one night with a Bund view. Due to the holiday crowds and limited room availability, I would have had to switch rooms. However, the staff allowed me to extend my stay in the original room, saving me the hassle of moving. This was very thoughtful and convenient. Since I arrived early and the room wasn't ready yet, staff member Lorna thoughtfully arranged for an urgent cleaning. The room was ready quickly, and she was also very caring and attentive to my child. Thank you! The Oriental Pearl Tower view from the room was absolutely fantastic. I had a very pleasant stay this time.

My stay at The Ritz-Carlton truly brought to life their core motto of 'We are Ladies and Gentlemen serving Ladies and Gentlemen.' I experienced firsthand how their brand principle, 'Our highest mission is to provide genuine care and comfort to our guests,' is woven into every service detail. A special shout-out to the Guest Recognition department for their professionalism and attentiveness, which made this stay a perfectly warm and respectful journey. From the moment I arrived, The Ritz-Carlton's 'Three Steps of Service' were seamlessly executed: the doorman's genuine greeting, calling me by name with warmth; the front desk's swift check-in, accurately noting my preferences; and throughout, there was no tedious waiting, just a pleasant feeling of being valued. During my stay, housekeeping proactively prepared my preferred pillow type, and the F&B department thoughtfully noted my dietary restrictions and customized meals. Staff consistently anticipated my needs and responded proactively, truly embodying the brand's commitment to 'fulfilling even the unexpressed wishes of our guests.' Every detail exuded the brand's 'warm, relaxed, and refined' ambiance, transforming luxury from cold hardware into tangible, thoughtful care. The exclusive service from the Guest Recognition team was a particularly delightful surprise, bringing the brand philosophy to life in a more concrete way. Before my arrival, the team communicated proactively about my itinerary needs, customizing travel suggestions that perfectly matched my plans. During my stay, they not only precisely recorded my personal preferences but also presented a handwritten card and custom dessert on my anniversary, turning an ordinary day into a memorable one with this exclusive touch of ceremony.

My son and I stayed in Shanghai for a few days during the Chinese New Year. I had dined at the Peace Hotel on a previous visit to Shanghai, so this time I decided to stay directly at the Fairmont, booking a king-size bed room. However, check-in took nearly two hours; we arrived at 3 PM and didn't get into our room until almost 5 PM. The room was not very big, and the window overlooked Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. We could see crowds of people below, and the night view was quite lively. The lobby was beautiful for photos, and breakfast was acceptable, though nothing special and with limited variety. When checking out, I tried to negotiate a late checkout with the front desk, but they would only allow an extra hour, no matter how much I tried to reason with them. I found it quite frustrating that we had to wait two hours to check in, but were only granted an extra hour for check-out. The front desk staff seemed very arrogant, and I didn't want to engage further.

This room type is definitely not suitable for elderly guests or children. As shown in the pictures, the shower and toilet areas are open-plan, making the floor very slippery after a shower, and there's a high risk of falling when using the toilet. The natural light is excellent, and the room is spacious. However, the minibar items are not complimentary. The executive lounge, located on the entire 55th floor, was very crowded during the Chinese New Year, but the arrangements were orderly and well-managed. That said, I was quite disappointed with the food quality, both in the afternoon and evening. Breakfast was decent. The gym is a highlight, spanning 600 square meters with a wide array of professional equipment. The location is also a major plus.
