Sheshan, Songjiang University Town Shanghai|35.83km from city center
Five stars, no hesitation! This stay was absolutely perfect, from the ambiance to the service, everything was flawless. It truly is an architectural marvel that you *must* visit at least once in your life. I'm completely captivated after staying here.
The hotel's environment is simply breathtaking! The world's only 88-meter-deep 'pit' hotel lives up to its reputation. Its unique design, built into the cliff face, exudes sophistication. The dynamic water curtain in the lobby is elegant and lively, and a glance out the window reveals stunning cliffside waterfalls. By day, you see the lush green mountains and rocky cliffs in perfect harmony; as evening falls, the lights illuminate, creating a serene and romantic atmosphere. Every corner showcases thoughtful design, incorporating a mining-inspired aesthetic. Every photo you take is magazine-worthy, offering an immersive experience of nature and architecture blending seamlessly. A special highlight was the 8:30 PM cliffside light and water show featuring themes from 'Shan Hai Jing' (Classic of Mountains and Seas) and a drone performance. Light and water intertwined, drones intricately depicted mythical imagery in the sky, and the cliff face transformed with dynamic light and shadow. The visual and auditory impact was incredible, creating an amazing atmosphere. It's an immersive dive into the collision of technology and culture, an experience definitely not to be missed.
The room experience was a delightful surprise! The room design is simple yet grand, with meticulous attention to detail. The sapphire-themed interior felt luxurious. Thoughtful amenities like a Dyson hairdryer and high-end toiletries were provided, and the facilities were comprehensive and modern. The entire room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the independent bathtub and scenic balcony were definite bonuses. Waking up to the natural scenery in the morning was incredibly blissful, making for a perfectly comfortable stay.
The dining experience was a culinary feast! The Chinese restaurant, Cai Feng Lou, lived up to its Black Pearl Restaurant rating. The beef was tender and juicy, and the soup was rich and flavorful. Every dish used high-quality ingredients and had authentic flavors, truly showcasing the essence of Chinese cuisine. The Western restaurant, Fish Eye, had an incredible ambiance, surrounded by an aquarium underwater. The seafood was fresh and sweet, and the Western dishes were exquisite and delicious, both visually appealing and tasty. Whether it was a main meal or a casual snack, everything was incredibly satisfying.
And the service was impeccable! A special shout-out to our exclusive butler, Alice. From communicating our needs before check-in and providing detailed explanations of the facilities upon arrival, to offering thoughtful reminders and responding to requests throughout our trip, she was patient, attentive, and incredibly thorough. She anticipated every need, making the entire journey feel so warm and cared for. All the hotel staff were also enthusiastic and professional. The bellhops proactively helped with luggage, and the restaurant staff were attentive and meticulous. You could feel their genuine service attitude everywhere you went. The overall experience was absolutely fantastic.
This stay was comprehensively satisfying. The environment, rooms, dining, and service all exceeded expectations. It's definitely a top choice for a vacation or getaway. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and highly recommend it to everyone! 🌟From$227

This is our re-visit of the hotel. I don’t know why, but it just felt homey instantly (usually it will take me a night to get used to the room), it’s just comfortable with peaceful ambiance and soft lighting. The breakfast was amazing and it really helped to start our day in a pleasant way! We also had a pleasant interaction with the room-service robot who delivered bottle water to our room twice 😄 You just had to try it!!! too bad I couldn’t hug the robot 😄 I also like the Hotel’s good and combined use of technology and human service. I called from the room to ask for bottle water, and it was answered by a lady who said they will send a Robot to deliver. (In another hotel, I also made a call from the room with a small request, but it was an auto answer where you had to talk to a machine and dial the numbers when prompted, which often ended in frustration). Other than that, just one suggestion, I thought the quality of the toiletries and slippers provided could be better compared to the peer hotels, yea, especially for the slippers, they felt too synthetic compared to the slippers from the other two hotels I stayed at during this travel. Overall, great stay, pleasant experience and will revisit!From$68

This hotel is perfectly suited to my taste. The lobby is predominantly decorated in black and red, with even the glass panels featuring a red tint. The lobby area is incredibly spacious, boasting many distinct seating zones, which made me feel like I could spend an entire day just lounging there.
The hotel is conveniently located right next to a large shopping mall, MixC City, offering a wide array of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Plus, it's just a few subway stops from either the train station or the airport. Getting to the hotel from Ziteng Road Metro Station: exit and enter the shopping mall through its main illuminated entrance. For the most straightforward path, *before* you reach the pedestrian street of the metro commercial area, follow the signs to take the elevator up to the second floor. From there, walk through the parking lot between Buildings A and B, and you'll arrive directly at the hotel, with no stairs to navigate.

Our New Year's Day stay at The Anandi Hotel with my family was absolutely perfect, a definite five-star-plus experience! Although we had to wait a bit for check-in due to full occupancy, a big thank you to Ms. CICI; her warm service turned what could have been a minor hiccup into a major plus.
Upon arrival, the elegant lobby instantly helped us relax after a tiring journey. The front desk staff patiently explained the full occupancy situation and suggested we have a meal at the hotel's restaurant first. After checking in, a butler delivered a wellness tea. Considering we were traveling with elderly family members and had a slower pace, they proactively offered a late check-out, which made our trip much more relaxed.
Our room was spacious and bright, with soft and comfortable bedding. The breakfast selection was extensive, offering both Chinese and Western options to satisfy everyone's tastes. The hotel's attention to detail was truly thoughtful, from the unique wellness tests to convenient charging ports, all of which demonstrated their genuine sincerity.
From patiently handling the wait during full occupancy, to proactively offering advice on hot springs and dining, and finally, to flexibly extending our check-out time, The Anandi Hotel's meticulous service made our family trip both reassuring and heartwarming.From$184

Shanghai Disney Resort Shanghai|21.83km from city center
Because I was going to Disneyland for two days over the New Year, after considering various factors, I chose this hot spring hotel that I had been eyeing for a while. Let me start by mentioning the regrettable aspects for us:
1. Since we left early for Disneyland and didn't get back from extreme interactions until after 10 PM, breakfast was already over, so we didn't get to experience it. It would be great if they could extend the service hours or offer light meals.
2. The hot spring can only be experienced once during the stay. Although most people probably wouldn't use it multiple times, deciding how to best utilize that single session can be a bit perplexing.
3. The shuttle bus schedule is very clear, but I ultimately decided not to use it. Mainly because there's only one bus per hour in the afternoon, and during peak evening hours, reservations are required for the limited six seats. It's actually better to take International Resort Line 1, which costs 1 yuan, is only two stops, and has buses every 10 minutes or so.
Of course, the good outweighs the bad. Having mentioned the downsides, there were also many things I was satisfied with:
1. Bicester Village is right across the street, offering plenty of shopping and dining options with numerous brands.
2. Each room is a standalone unit with its own access control, ensuring safety and privacy.
3. The rooms have air conditioning and underfloor heating, as well as complimentary beverages and a capsule coffee machine.
4. After adding the butler, any issues were promptly addressed and resolved efficiently.
5. The lobby offers a wide selection of self-service teas, and there's a farewell gift when checking out.
6. Although there are two indoor hot spring pools with original Taicang water and two outdoor pools with specially filtered soft water (with some occasional sales pitches), overall it's comfortable and not crowded. You can also enjoy a complimentary first milk or beverage with your wristband. The bath and skincare products are Moroccanoil, Half Acre Field, Gatsby, and Dyson hairdryers.
Overall, the value for money is quite good. I would definitely consider coming back here next time to make up for the services I missed out on.From$150

This private hot spring hotel is an absolute gem! From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were completely charmed. The Japanese-inspired decor created such a cozy atmosphere, and the staff greeted us with warm smiles throughout. Check-in was quick and incredibly thoughtful, and we even received a complimentary room upgrade!
A special shout-out to the private hot spring in the room! Soaking in the wonderfully warm bath at night, with complimentary tea and bath salts thoughtfully provided nearby, was pure bliss. My body instantly relaxed, and all my fatigue melted away. The water quality of the bath was impeccably clean, which was incredibly reassuring.
The room amenities were also impeccable. The bedding was so soft and comfortable, I fell asleep the moment I lay down. The toiletries had a subtle, refreshing scent that felt lovely to use. Breakfast was a semi-buffet, and while the selection wasn't vast, every single item was exquisite and delicious.
While the location isn't in the city center, its peacefulness is a huge plus. There's a small park nearby perfect for a stroll, and it's also convenient to drive to the city. Overall, it's an ideal spot for both couples looking for a romantic getaway and friends gathering for a relaxed break. We will definitely be back!From$88

The hotel room facilities are good, with everything that should be there. The smoking area outside is also very beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is very good, it is self-service, and there are freshly made noodles to eat. If you are thirsty, you can go downstairs at any time to have some drinks and fruits, which are all included in the hotel package. Why the deduction? Like many reviews wrote, the water in the pool here is really too hot. It is the hottest of all the hot springs in Shanghai that I have been to. It feels too hot. I saw that several children could hardly soak in the water for a while. I don’t know why so many people complained. I saw that the management was still saying in the comments that it met the hot spring temperature requirements. What they said is that your water is too hot, and they are giving you suggestions. Everyone in the hot spring said that the water was hot, not that you violated any regulations... It takes talent to reply like thisFrom$55

I rarely write hotel reviews but this one is a true hidden gem! My partner and I stayed for one night and we used this guesthouse as our little getaway from the busy center of Shanghai. It’s perfect for a romantic and cosy staycation, very quiet and private! The water in the private hot spring, surprisingly, comes from a real underground spring so it’s quite hot. Because it’s summer, we had to wait for it to cool down a little bit but it was perfect later on, especially during the night, we stayed in there past midnight and it was amazing. I stayed at this hotel for three days and wanted to share my brief thoughts. When booking a hotel in Shanghai, I looked at many options and paid close attention to the negative reviews for each, and the Radisson Hotel was no exception. Many of the negative comments mentioned outdated facilities. However, after considering the brand, location, and price, I ultimately chose this hotel, though I was still a bit apprehensive. Upon arrival, I was pleased to find the hotel's location excellent, right at the intersection of Nanjing Road and People's Square, making it convenient to reach various popular attractions. The lobby has a typical luxury hotel style. Every detail in the room also conveyed that, despite its age, the quality is definitely on par with its competitors. The furniture is well-crafted with good materials, and the fixtures and sanitary ware are all from reputable brands. The overall condition is actually better than some newer hotels. I've lost count how many times I've stayed at Agile 😊 and each time leaves an impression. This visit had a slight disappointment though: the pool 🏊♀️ was closed for a month-long renovation, and while there was a notice in the room, it was still a bit of a bummer 😞. However, the breakfast 🍳 for several consecutive days deserves high praise! We had two days of Chinese-style 🥢 and one day of Western-style breakfast, with a wide variety of delicious options that really satisfied our taste buds! I come to Shanghai every two or three months, and I always stay here.
**Ambiance:** The red maple leaves in the garden have turned, and they're so beautiful. It truly lives up to its reputation as a Japanese-managed hotel; even the environmental details have that special touch. This is why I love this hotel. Plus, the express checkout is super convenient.
**Service:** This time, I felt the service quality had declined a bit. I called for things to my room twice and had to wait a long time, then call to follow up. Especially when the room heating wasn't enough, I was freezing while waiting. Later, the housekeeper proactively brought an extra blanket.
However, as a loyal guest, I didn't feel a special sense of belonging.
**Facilities:** The remote control by the bed is really difficult to use. The settings jump around, and it's hard to tell what you're adjusting. It's usually fine, but in winter, the room temperature just wouldn't go up. It was truly freezing.
**Breakfast:** Still delicious.From$114

🌟 **Arrival Experience: A Welcoming Embrace**
From the moment we stepped out of the car, the concierge team greeted us with genuine smiles and prompt service. The front desk staff were professional and efficient, swiftly handling our check-in while thoughtfully introducing the hotel facilities and special services. The lobby's elegant design and subtle fragrance instantly made us feel relaxed.
🛌 **Guest Room: A Perfect Blend of Luxury and Technology**
The room was spacious and well-laid out, with breathtaking views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The bedding was the epitome of comfort – high-thread-count sheets felt incredibly soft against the skin, and the mattress offered just the right amount of support, ensuring we slept soundly every night. The mini-bar was well-stocked, and the complimentary daily replenished drinks and snacks were a thoughtful touch.
🍽️ **Dining: A Top-Tier Feast for the Senses**
Breakfast offered an abundant selection, from freshly squeezed juices and local specialties to Eggs Benedict; every dish was exquisite and delicious. The evening dining was stunning, perfectly blending traditional flavors with creative twists. The lobby bar had an elegant atmosphere, and the mixologists were incredibly skilled. Room service was also swift and efficient, with no compromise on quality.
💎 **Facilities and Service: Impeccably Professional**
The gym had state-of-the-art equipment, and the pool's water was crystal clear with a serene environment. What impressed us most was the attitude of all the staff – every employee we passed proactively greeted us and offered assistance. Housekeeping service was incredibly responsive, and the turndown service was meticulous, even down to the thoughtful placement of slippers.
📍 **Location and Surroundings**
The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to Nanjing Road and The Bund, making getting around extremely convenient.
✨ **Summary: More Than Luxury, It's About Heartfelt Care**
This wasn't just a stay; it was an experience of being well-cared for and full of delightful surprises. Pullman Shanghai Jing An truly exceeded expectations; every detail showcased respect and care for guests. If there were an option beyond ”five-star,” we would undoubtedly choose it. Staying at Bund Hoshino Resorts KAI Yuyuan with my family was an experience that far exceeded our expectations. The hotel's location is superb, just a five-minute walk to the Bund and Yu Garden, which was incredibly convenient.
Ella at the front desk provided exceptionally thoughtful service. Not only did she proactively upgrade our room type, but she also prepared a special children's toiletries set for us. The room design skillfully blends new Chinese aesthetics with comfort, making for a truly pleasant stay.
The 11th-floor terrace offers expansive views of both sides of the Huangpu River, which was stunning. From the smallest details to the overall experience, this place ensured that three generations of our family all found something to enjoy. This hotel is just beautiful and welcoming. People standing at the front will rush to help opening the door and unload your luggage from the car. The receptionist was really lovely and helpful and provide all the details in English. Then you will be brought to your room.
The room was really lovely. The beds were a bit small for an adult and kids but this is based on foreigners size. The bathroom was not clean properly with stains on the wall, doors and bathtub ( picture attached) but this may be due of the fact that the room was old.
There was a mini bar in the room but no price available.
The hotel have a heated pool and multiple restaurant on site. The kids love the pool.
The hotel is in the middle of all the places that need to be visited. If you go out from the hotel and turn right. You are 10 min walk from Nanjing Road. If you turn left, you are 10 min walk from YuYan Garden. And if you walk in direction of the back of the hotel, you are at the Bund. If you go straight you ll be most likely at people’s square.
We had an amazing stay there and we were joined by our daughter’s friend who booked there aswell to make it convenient for the kids to see each other.
I highly recommend this hotel for families and friends catch up. Really convenient location, really lovely and helpful staff.From$137

Although the room was small, it was very well-appointed. From the window, I could see iconic landmarks like Shanghai Tower and the Oriental Pearl, and Jing'an Temple was right in front of me. The service was standard and reliable, always responsive to requests. Breakfast had limited options but was exquisite. The in-room dining service was very convenient. The wonton noodles I ordered the first time were exceptionally delicious, so I ordered them again today for lunch, but the taste and texture were significantly different, and I'm not sure why. The cuisine at the second-floor restaurant, Yuanyuan, was good and reasonably priced. The service there wasn't overly enthusiastic but was very thorough.From$102

Review: The Langham Shanghai — Still Well-Located, But No Longer the Same
The Langham Shanghai has long been one of my preferred hotels, especially before the pandemic. After many stays, I’ve come to expect a certain standard of hospitality, consistency, and refinement. This recent visit, however, showed a noticeable decline across several areas.
Service
Overall service from the staff was acceptable. Front-line employees remained polite and tried their best. However, the manager on duty—a Caucasian manager—felt out of touch with Asian hospitality norms. His attitude came off as dismissive and rude, which immediately set the wrong tone. The contrast between the staff’s warmth and his behavior was striking.
Breakfast Buffet
The most significant drop was in the breakfast buffet. Quality has slipped in a way that’s hard to ignore: food didn’t taste as fresh, dishes weren’t as well prepared, and the overall selection felt uninspired compared to previous years. At this point, it’s honestly better to go out for breakfast.
Room & Housekeeping
Room cleanliness was fine, but small inconsistencies added up. Turn-down service was missed on some nights. When I requested water refill, the staff who arrived seemed confused about why she had been sent up, leading to an awkward exchange. These are small moments, but in a five-star hotel, they highlight cracks in training and coordination.
Overall Impression
The Langham Shanghai still has one unbeatable strength: location. But nearly everything else has declined—food, consistency, management attitude, and attention to detail. After years of loyalty, I’m now considering switching to a different hotel for future trips. The experience simply didn’t match the standards I’ve known and trusted from The Langham brand.
A disappointing stay from a once-reliable favorite.From$172

Loved the service here and attention to detail. Staff were all so friendly and made us so welcome. Really outstanding! From the time we stepped out the car, all the staff made us feel so welcome. The concierge even helped me to book a late night snack on ******* then paid for it on his app when mine wouldn’t work. Really superb service!
Location was great too. Short walk of maybe 8 minutes to the Dapuqiao (Line 9) station inside the Sun Moon shopping centre with lots of eateries. Very near to Tianzifang which is 15 minutes walk. Great specialty coffee cafe called Danro Coffee within 10 minutes walk. And within 5km to many major sights in Shanghai within the Huangpu area.From$91

True to its name, this hotel boasts a rich history. My stay was an incredibly worthwhile experience from every perspective. The booking process was a breeze, with Trip.com providing its usual convenient, fast, and supportive deals. The hotel service was excellent. I arrived before 8 AM due to an early flight to Shanghai, even though check-in isn't until 3 PM. The front desk patiently helped arrange a room for me to check in as early as possible. What’s more, they thoughtfully escorted us to the hotel's spa to change and freshen up. At 10 AM, there was even a detailed historical and cultural tour of the hotel, which was very insightful and historically significant, reflecting our nation's development from weakness to strength. The surrounding transportation is convenient, with easy access to the subway and taxis. Located right by Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and the Bund, there are countless beautiful sights to behold. The service attitude was consistently great, making one feel very welcome, especially during this deep winter season. The interior decor and furnishings are a bit traditional, which is understandable given how quickly times change. Overall, it's still worth it, and I highly recommend everyone to experience it.From$304

The hotel service is general thoughtful. We asked for medicated oil as my mum was not feeling well, but there wasn't one available. Instead of just saying no, the customer service offered to send us oil essence that would help to improve headaches and stress. And this really helped my mum to feel and sleep better.
F&B service staff at Elements and Chinese restaurant were attentive and competent. Generally, we did enjoy our stay in this hotel. Pillows are comfortable and housekeeping always did a thorough job everyday. Views from our rooms are nice and we could see the light up at 6pm everyday.
Check-in service could be improved. We had never been kept waiting to check-in before as every hotel we went to made sure the guests don't wait for too long. After waiting in the line for 30mins, I observed that the front desk needs to input alot of information for each guest. Maybe more efficient system and better process flow would help the staff and have less customers complaining. Everyone around was were dismayed by the waiting time. Note that whenever travellers arrive to check in, most are tired and burdened with baggage and want to settle down as soon as possible. Last thing we want is to queue for a long time to check in.
Having mentioned that, I would like to give credit to the front desk staff. Despite the pressure from the sounds of grumpy guests waiting in the line, they still handled each guest professionally and attending to all the enquiries patiently. This is not easy.
Also, your porter service could be improved also. There are more people standing at the concierge counter indoors, and usually only 1 outside. Which is something I don't understand. During our 4-day stay here, no one helped us at all. Even when we checked out, it was our driver who helped us with our bags. The bell boy chose to help another car who was checking in. Usually we tip bell boy but we had no chance to tip at all here.
The corridor to the rooms are mostly carpeted so it is really difficult to drag our luggage. The lifts are spread out along two long rows and I have seen a lady dragging her luggage from one lift to the next lift, and then to the next one cursing because she could not reach each lift in time before the door closed. We felt tired too through our stay here, turning 360 degrees to look out for lift doors opening.
We do recommend the hotel for a guaranteed comfortable stay here as it is near to many major shopping malls and attractions and restaurants.From$111

The room design was quite good, and the temperature control worked perfectly. The bedding was comfortable to sleep on. The birthday decorations were a thoughtful touch. The TV was large and supported screen casting. The complimentary water bottles were huge and made of glass, which was great. My only minor regret was that the front desk staff on the day of check-in told me that the dining and spa credits couldn't be combined. Just a few quick points: Firstly, the hotel's location is truly excellent, right on the Bund, directly facing the Oriental Pearl Tower. The views are superb! Secondly, before check-in, a hotel staff member, Ms. Anna, contacted us by phone. She patiently discussed our preferred room type, making the entire check-in process smooth, quick, and satisfactory. We ended up being upgraded to a Bund and Pearl Tower dual-view room, directly facing the Bund and with a side view of the Pearl Tower – visually stunning! However, unfortunately, foggy weather spoiled such a beautiful view! (A tip: If the weather is this bad, there's really no need to pay extra for an upgraded room like this; you can get better photos simply by going to the Bund itself.) Thirdly, during the upgrade, the front desk informed us that breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner were included, and we just needed to provide our room number to enter. However, there was no need to provide it; we could just walk straight in. This was strange 🤔. Does every room booking include these? Because from start to finish, we never had to give our room number to enter! Fourthly, regarding the hardware, it's well-maintained, and the environment is very clean and comfortable, but it is old. Fifthly, for the software, the white room curtains completely reflected in the floor-to-ceiling windows, affecting photo quality. Sixthly, the bathroom: no shower cap, no amenity kit, no disposable toilet seat covers, and there was a bathtub but no bathtub liner 😣😩! Finally, the air conditioning – surprisingly, there was no cool air mode, only fan-only. The air circulation in the hotel room was really poor; I hope this can be improved! Overall, the value for money was quite good, and the restaurant food was delicious! Lastly, a big thank you to the thoughtful and lovely Ms. Anna, who even gave us a little bear 😊.From$149

I've been going to Shanghai every year since before the pandemic, and at peak times, I went monthly. Almost every time, this hotel was my first choice. In August, I heard about The PuLi's renovation. My last stay in November didn't reveal any obvious changes, and I assumed my floor hadn't been renovated yet, so I was still looking forward to it. This time, seeing that the upgrade was supposedly complete, I stayed again. I feel very disappointed.
My disappointment isn't about the widely discussed changes in the soft furnishings' style online. To be honest, if it weren't for the comparison photos online, I wouldn't have even noticed the new soft furnishings; they don't feel out of place. I think this kind of optimization is fine.
But after so many years, you'd rather upgrade and replace soft furnishings than change your outdated equipment.
PuLi, your hairdryer is still that old-fashioned model, and only suites get a Dyson. Is there a possibility that some people can't stay in a suite, rather than can't afford one? If you think a Dyson isn't worth the room rate, you could at least get a decent domestic brand. What is this hairdryer even blowing? It takes ages to dry my hair. Does your clientele really not own a Dyson? Do you know how much trouble it is to bring an extra hairdryer when traveling? Is holding an old-fashioned hairdryer for half an hour really a better experience than new soft furnishings?
I've tolerated that toilet model that never flushes clean, and I've tolerated the lack of a heated seat in winter. But the flush button is still unfriendly to those with long nails. You don't even need to replace parts; just adding a flushing aid next to it would show thoughtfulness. How many beauty influencers promote your hotel for free? Doesn't that warrant a little consideration for their manicures?
And the sink where the water splashes everywhere when you turn it on – that could be solved by just changing the faucet.
To be fair, so many people have pointed out these issues over the years, yet nothing has improved. I'm truly disappointed. I won't be staying here again.From$258

Furthermore, the front desk staff upgraded us to a junior suite and provided an extra bed free of charge, adding a special touch to our short vacation.

The Wi-Fi was incredibly slow!
**Location:** Just a few minutes' walk from Shanghai Railway Station and the subway, not far from the main road. There's a FamilyMart and some restaurants downstairs.
**Facilities:** A proper hotel with an elevator, air conditioning, and self-service laundry. The shower had good hot water. The wooden furniture looked a bit dated but seemed durable and of good quality. It appears to have been renovated, and the renovation quality is decent. However, I have to complain about the Wi-Fi speed – it was excruciatingly slow!
**Soundproofing:** Average; I could hear conversations from the next room.
**Cleanliness:** Relatively clean.
**Environment:** Both inside and out, it was neat and orderly.
**Service:** They proactively offered a room upgrade (perhaps due to fewer guests during the off-season) and could store luggage for us.
**Breakfast:** Although breakfast was included, they actually provided a 15 RMB voucher per person to use at a neighboring restaurant. You pay for what you choose, and anything over 15 RMB needs to be paid out of pocket, which felt a bit like a rip-off. However, if you plan carefully, it's manageable. The breakfast quality was relatively average, but it was available from 6:30 AM, which is convenient for early travelers.

MM37076****The Wi-Fi was incredibly slow!

Stayed for 7 days in the Family room in Dec 2025. Overall it was a comfortable stay although the hard product was old.
Room was spacious with one king bed (good for 1 adult and 2 small sized kids) and a single rollaway bed (good for 1 adult). It came with a free mini bar (1 round) and we could get bottled water from housekeeping or from the hotel lobby. There was a stench in the toilet (suspected backflow of air from the sewer) which housekeeping attempted to solve by covering the drains using tissue paper.
Hotel location was good, situated along the shopping street and subway. It is also within walking distance from the bund.
Hotel service was relatively lacking. No attempt was made to assist me with my 4 big luggage at the lobby during arrival and departure.
Would recommend the hotel for less fussy travellers who value convenience over services.

I booked this hotel for my dad, and he said it was great value for money and had an excellent location. The service was also very attentive. When he first checked in, he noticed the shower gel and shampoo bottles were empty. He reported it, and new ones were delivered quickly. The airport transfer service was fantastic; it only took about 20 minutes to get to the airport.
