This is an established chain hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, offering good privacy. To get from the parking lot to the room, you need to take two elevators and tap your card. We had a child with us who accidentally spilled milk tea on the duvet (picture 5). We reported it to the hotel, and they immediately sent staff to handle it. They said they would try to clean it first, and if successful, they wouldn't charge us a cleaning fee. In the end, we weren't charged, which shows their warm and thoughtful service. The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk from the seaside boardwalk, where you can see Shenzhen's largest Yantian Port. It's perfect for a stroll with kids. Stayed here with my boyfriend for 1 night as we needed a relaxing getaway from Hong Kong.
Booked the hotel very last minute (3 hours before we arrived) and it exceeded our expectations!
We came during the week so the area itself was not busy (as i’ve read it can get on the weekends) so it was perfect for us to have some peace and quiet.
The hotel is ON the beach and there are activities that can be done from there (kayaking, jet ski etc). There are cute little coffee shops/restaurants all within walking distance and in the evening there was entertainment on the beach including an open air cinema with beach chairs for guests.
We booked a room with a jacuzzi on the balcony which was lovely in the evening. The room was very clean, the king size bed was huge and we were able to watch english movies via the projector! (Even travelling in the city at more well known hotels, we have had trouble watching english language tv/movies so this was a bonus for us)
In the morning we asked for late check out (very last minute) and they let us stay for an additional hour.
Also, breakfast was included but we missed the allocated time and they texted us via wechat to offer to bring up 2 plates AND coffee which they did not have to do but was so appreciated.
Overall, we needed to relax and this hotel was perfect. We will definitely be returning again AND recommending to our friends.From€43

I stay in level 5 corner unit, from window can see the main shopping mall but a bit noisy from the car sound even if I closed the window. The roof top having 2 whaling machines for clothing . The hotel has a great location, very close to Futian Port, making customs clearance super convenient. Futian Mangrove Ecological Park is also nearby, which is perfect for a post-breakfast stroll. The front desk staff, especially one young lady, was incredibly helpful and patient; she gave very detailed directions to the ecological park. The breakfast in the restaurant was also excellent. The room itself was spacious with a good view, offering a distant glimpse of Hong Kong and Shenzhen Bay's inner sea. The bedding was clean and tidy, and all toiletries were provided. On weekends, if you went late, there was usually no place to sit and hardly any food left. Whatever you do, *avoid* the swimming pool! About 800 meters further, you'll find many seafood restaurants. We snagged a great group deal for over 100 RMB, which was enough for two people and included fresh seafood! The only downside, and it's a major one, was the breakfast. It was shockingly bad and fell incredibly short of its advertised ”Western” restaurant claim. The selection was limited to unidentifiable scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bread, and other useless items. There were no proteins like beef or chicken, no seafood, no salads, and no decent desserts. My stomach started hurting in the elevator on the way back to the room after breakfast, and I almost didn't make it to the toilet in time. Before eating, we were both perfectly fine with no discomfort, as we always use the restroom after waking up in the morning.
I distinctly remember everything I ate for breakfast, and I didn't even eat much! This time I stayed at the JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen, which has always had an excellent reputation, and the views were absolutely spectacular!
The welcome fruit platter came with the JW logo and special rosemary cookies, which was a nice touch – definitely not the usual 'traffic light' assortment. The hairdryer wasn't a Dyson, but the amenities were the standard JW AA products, and the drinking water was custom-bottled Bama water.
The executive lounge offerings were quite impressive for a Marriott property, and having fresh-squeezed juice was a definite plus.
The room itself was very spacious, with a Chinese luxury aesthetic. The living room area was ample, and having a guest bathroom made it feel like a proper suite. The room's view was good, despite the building not being particularly tall.
The public areas were well-designed. The changing rooms had both hot and cold plunge pools, which was fantastic, especially since many hotels no longer offer this.

From the moment I entered the lobby, I felt a warm welcome. The front desk staff had the sweetest smiles and checked me in super quickly. They even proactively introduced me to the hotel's facilities and nearby dining options – excellent attention to detail!
The room itself was very clean and tidy, with no strange odors. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the mattress offered just the right amount of support; I had an incredibly refreshing night's sleep! The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, hot water came quickly, and the toiletries had a subtle, pleasant fragrance that felt very nice to use. The view from the window was expansive, and in the morning, when I drew back the curtains and the sunlight streamed in, my mood instantly brightened.

|22.86km from city centerFacilities: The hotel is located within walking distance of a subway station. There's a 'Weixianjia' nearby, though I didn't visit it during my stay. The hotel entrance is not very prominent, but the reception lobby is clean and beautiful. The bathroom in the room lacked a proper door; instead, it had an automatic curtain for privacy. The toilet and shower shared a common door that couldn't close completely, allowing water to spray out from the gaps when showering.
Cleanliness: The lobby was clean, quiet, and beautiful, clearly indicating it's a relatively new establishment. Prior to check-in, I requested a room away from the KTV. Due to a hotel computer issue, a receptionist personally escorted us to our room, mentioning they had specifically arranged a second-floor room, further from the KTV. However, upon entering the room, there was a large puddle of water on the bathroom floor, the bathtub was wet, and the hand soap dispenser was empty. I saw a cleaning cart outside our door, so I took a mop to clean it myself. I also had to ask the cleaning staff for new supplies.
Environment: I booked a sea view room but was assigned to the second floor. While the sea was visible, the view was marred by a large section of corrugated iron roofing from the hotel's canopy and some rubbish, which was quite unappealing. The sea view from the front desk was actually much nicer than from my room.
Service: The front desk staff explained how to collect food deliveries, and their attitude was pleasant. In the evening, while picking up my takeout, I inquired about a late check-out. The room key card stated a 2 PM check-out, but the staff informed me that was an old policy and the standard check-out was 12 PM. I asked if a late check-out was possible. The night shift colleague said they would make a note for the morning shift and assured us that if no one called by 11 AM to remind us to check out, it meant our late check-out until 1 PM had been arranged. As no calls were received after 11 AM, we assumed the late check-out was confirmed. However, at 12 PM sharp, a staff member knocked loudly and urgently on our door, pressuring us to check out. When I explained the conversation with the night shift colleague, the morning staff claimed they had received no such notification. They then stated they had made several calls, but no one answered. The crucial point is that the room phone never rang. The staff even questioned if we had placed the phone incorrectly. They informed us that a 1 PM late check-out was not possible and then explained the charges for late check-out. Consequently, we agreed to vacate the room as quickly as possible, by 12:30 PM.
This was an unprecedented experience in all my hotel stays. Furthermore, the afternoon tea supposedly included in our package was never offered, even by the time we checked out. It felt as if we were being treated like we were trying to take advantage. Being loudly knocked on and rushed out of a room for the first time left a very unpleasant impression.

To get from the parking lot to the room, you need to take two elevators and tap your card. We had a child with us who accidentally spilled milk tea on the duvet (picture 5). We reported it to the hotel, and they immediately sent staff to handle it. They said they would try to clean it first, and if successful, they wouldn't charge us a cleaning fee. In the end, we weren't charged, which shows their warm and thoughtful service. The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk from the seaside boardwalk, where you can see Shenzhen's largest Yantian Port. It's perfect for a stroll with kids. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time.
