Chengdu attractions require advance online reservations for most sites. The Chengdu Research Base costs CNY 55, while key museums are free but closed Mondays. Use the city metro to navigate efficiently.

TOP 10 Chengdu Attractions at a Glance Kuanzhai Alley

Chengdu attractions are spread over three zones, which is why a bit of planning saves a lot of taxi time. The old city core holds Wuhou Shrine, Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Wenshu Monastery, both of the big public museums and the historic alleys, all within about 5 km of Tianfu Square and easy to connect by metro. The panda base sits 11 km northeast in Chenghua District. The two large landscape sights, Dujiangyan and Mount Qingcheng, are 55 to 60 km northwest and work best as one day trip on the intercity train. Six of the ten places below cost nothing to enter, and only the panda base really rewards an early alarm.

Panda Attractions in Chengdu

Panda Attractions in Chengdu_Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding

Panda Attractions in Chengdu_Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding

Two sites in greater Chengdu let you see giant pandas, and both are run by the same breeding and research institution with the same ticket standard. The city base is larger, busier and much easier to reach. The Dujiangyan site is a hillside facility with a fraction of the visitors. If you only have one morning free, take the city base and arrive at opening.

Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding

The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding opened in 1987 with six rescued pandas and now holds more than 200 giant pandas along with red pandas, swans and a small museum. It is part zoo, part research station, and the animals live in large bamboo enclosures rather than cages. Pandas are fed in the morning and sleep through the afternoon, so the window that matters is roughly 07:30 to 10:00; by noon most of them are flat on their backs indoors. The base has two entrances: the South Gate near the nursery that holds Hua Hua, the most photographed panda in China, and the newer West Gate by the panda tower, which usually has shorter entry lines.

  • Ticket: CNY 55 for adults, CNY 27 for students. Free for children under 1.3 m and for visitors aged 60 and over. The shuttle bus inside the park is charged separately.
  • Opening: entry starts at 07:30 from March to October and 08:00 from November to February. The park closes at 18:00 in the warm season and 17:30 in winter, and timed morning and afternoon slots end earlier. Session times are adjusted through the year, so confirm them when you book.
  • Getting there: Metro Line 3 to Panda Avenue for the South Gate, or to Junqu Zongyiyuan (Military General Hospital) for the West Gate, then the connecting shuttle bus. By taxi or DiDi it is 30 to 40 minutes from the city centre.
  • Booking: real-name timed tickets, released up to 14 days ahead through the official WeChat account or an OTA such as Trip.com. Bring your passport.

Panda Valley, Dujiangyan

Panda Valley sits about 60 km northwest of downtown in Yutang, Dujiangyan, on a wooded slope below the Qingcheng range. It is the field and wild-release training centre of the same institution that runs the city base, and tickets follow the same price standard. Because the focus is preparing animals for the wild, the enclosures are larger and the walk between them feels like a forest hike. Red pandas move freely through the trees beside the paths, which is the part most visitors remember. Crowds are light even on holidays.

  • Ticket: same standard as the city base, CNY 55 for adults and CNY 27 for students.
  • Time needed: 2 to 3 hours, plus travel.
  • Getting there: intercity train from Xipu to Dujiangyan or Lidui Park station, then a 15 to 20 minute taxi. Combine it with Dujiangyan on the same line.

Historical Attractions in Chengdu

Historical Attractions in Chengdu_Chengdu Wuhou Shrine Museum

Historical Attractions in Chengdu_Chengdu Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum

Chengdu has been continuously inhabited for more than 2,300 years, and the historic sights cluster tightly enough to cover on foot and by metro in one day. The west side of the city holds Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Sichuan Museum and Jinsha in a rough line, while Wuhou Shrine and Jinli sit together in the south.

Wuhou Shrine Museum and Jinli Street

Wuhou Shrine is the country's largest museum site dedicated to the Three Kingdoms period. The grounds hold the tomb of Liu Bei, the Shu Han emperor, which dates to 223 AD, and the shrine to his chancellor Zhuge Liang was merged into the same compound during the Ming dynasty. That is why a ruler and his minister are honoured side by side in one temple complex. The red wall lined with bamboo in the western section is the most photographed spot in the city after the pandas, and the exhibition halls hold bronze, pottery and weapon finds from the period.

  • Ticket: CNY 50 for adults, CNY 25 for students and children.
  • Opening: 09:00 to 18:00, last entry at 17:00. Extended hours are sometimes added in summer and around holidays.
  • Getting there: Metro Line 3 to Gaoshengqiao, then a 10 minute walk.
  • Jinli Street is the reconstructed Qing-style lane next door: free, open later into the evening, and at its best after dark when the lanterns come on. The garden area beside the shrine is also free.

Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum

Du Fu moved to Chengdu in 759 to escape the An Lushan rebellion and lived on this spot until 765, writing around 240 poems here. The cottage itself has been rebuilt many times, so what you walk through is a walled garden of bamboo, plum trees and ponds with a Ming-era core and memorial halls added by later dynasties. It is quiet even in peak season, and the scale is manageable: most people finish in under two hours.

  • Ticket: CNY 50 for adults, CNY 25 for students and children.
  • Opening: 09:00 to 18:00, last entry at 17:00. Holiday periods sometimes open 30 minutes earlier and close 30 minutes later.
  • Getting there: Metro Line 4 to Caotang North Road, then a short walk. Sichuan Museum is 1.5 km east, which makes a natural pairing.

Wenshu Monastery

Wenshu Monastery is the best-preserved Buddhist temple in the city centre. Its origins go back to the Tang dynasty, and the present buildings were rebuilt after a fire in 1691; the Kangxi emperor later gave it the name Konglin. Entry is free, incense sticks are handed out at the gate, and the grounds stay busy with worshippers in the morning and tea drinkers in the afternoon. The vegetarian restaurant on site and the Xiangyuan teahouse in the garden are both popular with locals, and the WenShuFang block next door runs Sichuan opera face-changing shows in the evening.

  • Entry: free, no booking needed.
  • Opening: roughly 08:00 to 17:00, with last entry around 16:30.
  • Getting there: Metro Line 1 to Wenshu Monastery station.
  • Best time: mornings for the temple itself, autumn for the osmanthus, and evening for the opera block next door.

Museums in Chengdu

Museums in Chengdu_Sichuan Museum

Museums in Chengdu_Chengdu Museum

Chengdu's public museums are free, air-conditioned and genuinely good, but all of the major ones take Monday off and all of them require a booking, including the free ones. A passport number works as your ticket ID. If you only have one rainy afternoon, choose Chengdu Museum for the city's own story or Jinsha for the archaeology.

Chengdu Museum

Chengdu Museum occupies the west side of Tianfu Square, which makes it the easiest museum to slot into a day of city sightseeing. It opened in 2016 and spreads the city's history over eight floors, from the ancient Shu kingdom through the Shu brocade trade to the twentieth century. Two displays stand out: the stone rhino dug up from under Tianfu Square during subway work in 2013, and one of the largest collections of Chinese shadow puppets anywhere. There is also a hands-on area where children try pottery and ink rubbing.

  • Entry: free, reserve a slot in advance through the official WeChat account or an OTA.
  • Opening: Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday 09:00 to 17:00 with last entry at 16:30; Friday and Saturday extend to 20:30. Closed Mondays except public holidays.
  • Getting there: Metro Line 1 or 2 to Tianfu Square. Allow 2 hours.

Sichuan Museum

Sichuan Museum sits on Huanhua South Road beside Huanhua Creek Park and holds more than 300,000 objects. The Han dynasty pictorial bricks, the Buddhist stone sculpture recovered from Wanfo Temple and a large gallery of Zhang Daqian's paintings are the three sections worth your time, followed by the textiles and silverwork of Sichuan's minority groups. Signage is in Chinese and English, and the layout is compact enough to see properly in about two hours.

  • Entry: free, book through the official WeChat account.
  • Opening: 09:00 to 17:00, last entry at 16:00. Closed Mondays except public holidays.
  • Getting there: Metro Line 4 to Caotang North Road, then walk. Du Fu Thatched Cottage is 1.5 km west.

Jinsha Site Museum

The Jinsha site was found in 2001 when builders broke ground for a housing estate, and it turned out to be the capital of the ancient Shu kingdom, roughly 3,000 years old and the successor to Sanxingdui. The gold Sun and Immortal Birds ornament recovered here became the emblem of China's cultural heritage, and it is displayed in the main hall together with jade, bronze and the huge piles of elephant tusks found in the sacrificial pits. The excavation hall is built over the original dig, so you look down at the layers in place.

  • Ticket: CNY 70 for adults, CNY 35 for students.
  • Opening: 09:00 to 18:00, last entry at 17:00. Closed Mondays, with exceptions in January, February, July, August and public holidays.
  • Getting there: Metro Line 7 to Jinsha Museum station. Allow 2 hours.

Chengdu Old Streets, Alleys and Local Life

Chengdu Old Streets, Alleys and Local Life_Kuanzhai Alley

Chengdu Old Streets, Alleys and Local Life_Kuanzhai Alley

Chengdu's teahouse and snack culture is easiest to read in the old quarters, and these three areas sit within a few metro stops of each other. An afternoon and evening covers all of them comfortably, and none of them charges admission.

Kuanzhai Alley

Kuanzhai Alley is what remains of the walled Manchu quarter of the Qing city, where banner soldiers and their families were settled from the early 1700s. Three alleys run parallel: Kuan Alley is the widest and holds the best-preserved courtyard houses, Zhai Alley has the cafés, restaurants and shops, and Jing Alley is the quietest, with a long brick relief showing scenes of old Chengdu life. The block was restored and reopened in 2008, so the buildings are old but the plumbing is new.

  • Entry: free, open all day, with shops running until about 22:00 or 23:00.
  • Getting there: Metro Line 4 to Kuanzhai Alley station.
  • Timing: go before 11:00 or after 20:00. Mid-afternoon on a weekend is shoulder to shoulder, and the food stalls are better value on the nearby Xi'an Middle Road.

Chunxi Road and Daci Temple

Chunxi Road was laid out in 1924 and is still the main shopping street in the city. Today the pedestrian grid runs into three landmarks: the IFS mall, with the 15-metre panda sculpture by Lawrence Argent clinging to its facade, best photographed from the seventh-floor roof garden; Taikoo Li, a low-rise open-air shopping district built around the grounds of the temple; and the Daci Temple itself, where Xuanzang, the monk who later travelled to India and returned with the Buddhist scriptures, was ordained in 622. The temple sits a few steps from the designer shops and stays quiet in the morning.

  • Entry: free.
  • Getting there: Metro Line 2 or 3 to Chunxi Road.
  • Timing: 2 to 3 hours, best after 17:00 when the lighting comes on. The surrounding streets are the main late-night food area in the city centre.

People's Park and Heming Teahouse

People's Park opened in 1911 as Shaocheng Park, the first public park in Chengdu, and it still works the way it always did: old men playing cards, bamboo chairs in every open corner, and a monument to the Railway Protection Movement of 1911, the protest that fed into the revolution which ended the Qing dynasty. Heming Teahouse inside the park dates to 1923 and is the oldest in the city. A gaiwan of jasmine tea costs roughly CNY 20 to 40 with unlimited refills, and you can sit for three hours without anyone hurrying you. Ear cleaning with tuning forks is offered for a small fee. On weekend mornings, parents advertise their adult children's details in the matchmaking corner.

  • Entry: free.
  • Opening: the park is open daily, roughly 06:00 to 22:00; the teahouse runs from morning to early evening.
  • Getting there: Metro Line 2 to People's Park station.

Chengdu Day Trips: Mountains and World Heritage Sites

Chengdu Day Trips: Mountains and World Heritage Sites_Dujiangyan Scenic Area

Chengdu Day Trips: Mountains and World Heritage Sites_Leshan Giant Buddha

Dujiangyan and Mount Qingcheng were inscribed together as UNESCO World Heritage in 2000, and both are reachable on the intercity railway that leaves from Xipu, about 90 minutes door to door from the city centre. Leshan lies in the opposite direction, to the south. Doing Dujiangyan and Qingcheng in one day is possible but tight, and only if you take the cable car.

Dujiangyan Irrigation System

Dujiangyan was built around 256 BC by Li Bing, the Qin governor of Shu, and his son, and it still irrigates the Chengdu Plain today. It has no dam: the Min River is split and controlled by three components, the Fish Mouth levee that divides the flow, the Flying Sand Weir that releases flood water and silt, and the Bottle-Neck Channel that feeds the canals. The engineering has survived earthquakes and 2,200 years of use, making it the oldest working irrigation system of its kind. The walk through the site takes in the Anlan suspension bridge and the Erwang Temple, which honours Li Bing and his son.

  • Ticket: CNY 80 for adults. CNY 40 for students and visitors aged 60 to 64, free from 65.
  • Opening: 08:00 to 18:00 from March to November and 08:00 to 17:30 in winter, with last entry about an hour before closing.
  • Getting there: Metro Line 2 to Xipu, then the intercity train to Lidui Park station. The journey takes about 30 minutes and costs CNY 10 to 15, and the scenic area is a 15 to 20 minute walk from the station. Some trains from Chengdu East run direct in 45 to 50 minutes.

Mount Qingcheng

Mount Qingcheng is where Zhang Daoling founded the Tian Shi, or Celestial Master, school of Taoism in the second century AD, which is why it is treated as the birthplace of organised Taoism in China. The Front Mountain is the religious side, with Jianfu Palace, Tianshi Cave and Shangqing Palace stacked up a wooded slope, and a summit of about 1,260 m. A short boat ride across Moon City Lake and a cable car cut most of the climbing, so three to four hours is enough. The Back Mountain is a separate site with a separate ticket: a gorge of streams and waterfalls, plank paths along the rock, the village of Tai'an at the foot, and four to five hours of steeper walking.

  • Ticket: CNY 80 for the Front Mountain, CNY 20 for the Back Mountain. Cable cars and the boat are extra.
  • Opening: Front Mountain roughly 08:00 to 17:30 in the March to November season and 08:30 to 17:00 in winter. The Back Mountain closes around 17:00 all year, and hikers should start in the morning.
  • Getting there: intercity train from Xipu to Qingchengshan station, then a shuttle bus to the gate, about 15 minutes.

Leshan Giant Buddha

The Leshan Giant Buddha is 71 metres tall and was carved into a river cliff between 713 and 803 AD. The monk Haitong started the project to calm the waters at the meeting point of the Min, Dadu and Qingyi rivers, and the work outlasted him by decades. It is the largest stone Buddha in the world and forms part of the UNESCO listing for the Mount Emei Scenic Area. The narrow stairway down the cliff beside the Buddha's shoulder is the bottleneck of the whole site: on busy days the queue runs one to three hours. A river boat from the nearby dock gives you the frontal view with the cliff carvings and skips the queue entirely.

  • Ticket: the scenic area costs about CNY 80 for adults; boat tickets are sold separately at the dock.
  • Opening: roughly 07:30 to 18:30 in peak season, with shorter hours in winter.
  • Getting there: high-speed train from Chengdu East or Chengdu South to Leshan, about an hour, then a bus or a 20 to 30 minute taxi to the north gate. This is a full day from Chengdu, or an overnight if you continue to Mount Emei, another 40 minutes by train.

Tickets and Booking Tips for Chengdu Attractions

  • Most ticketed sights now use real-name timed entry, and your passport is your ticket. Carry the original document, not a photo of it.
  • Book online for the panda base, Sanxingdui, Jinsha, Wuhou Shrine, Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Dujiangyan and Mount Qingcheng. Ticket windows exist, but they sell out on holidays and often close early.
  • The free museums still need a reservation slot. Slots are released a few days ahead and are usually gone by mid-morning at weekends.
  • Booking through an OTA such as Trip.com is the simplest route with a foreign card. The official WeChat mini-programs normally require WeChat Pay.
  • Monday is museum day off. Chengdu Museum, Sichuan Museum and Jinsha Site Museum all close, with seasonal exceptions. The panda base, Wenshu Monastery, Kuanzhai Alley and People's Park are open every day.
  • Discounts need documents: a student card for half price at most sights, and ID or passport for visitors aged 60 and over, many of whom enter free.
  • Prices and opening hours in this guide were checked in October 2026. Seasonal sessions change through the year, so confirm the current times on the official account or booking page the day before you go.

Pros: (1) Excellent location, right on Chunxi Road, with a direct shuttle service from the hotel to the Panda Base. (2) The staff were very friendly and even gave small gifts to the children. (3) The package deal offered great value for money. Cons: During my stay at the hotel, I constantly suffered from rhinitis and skin allergies. Both issues resolved immediately after checking out/changing hotels, suggesting that the room's cleanliness needs significant improvement.

This place was such a good find for us travelling with our toddler. It was like an apartment with great features such as a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and drier, but with all services and amenities of a 5 star hotel as well such as room service, daily cleaning, and hotel breakfast. The room separation to the living area was a bonus for us with a toddler with an earlier bed time, and this hotel was was the only place during our travels where they provided a proper cot rather than a travel or foldable one. Staff were very helpful and saw our needs before we asked. Great pool and kids play area.

An Exceptional Stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu I had a wonderful stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu, where the service truly went above and beyond my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality and attention to detail were outstanding. I was generously upgraded to a Club Suite, which was a lovely surprise. When I was feeling unwell, the team kindly arranged some ice for me, and when I slept in and missed the usual Club breakfast timing, they graciously allowed me to enjoy breakfast even though it normally finishes at 11 am. These thoughtful gestures made such a difference and demonstrated genuine care for their guests. A very special thank you to Meria Pan, whose hospitality, professionalism, and kindness were exceptional. She made me feel genuinely looked after, and I cannot thank her enough for going the extra mile to ensure my comfort. She is a real credit to the hotel. Another highlight was the excellent service throughout the property. All the staff I encountered spoke English and were friendly, attentive, and professional, making the entire experience seamless and comfortable. The buffet at Spices Restaurant was also excellent, with an extensive variety of dishes to choose from, all delicious and beautifully presented. What sets this hotel apart is not just the beautiful accommodation or excellent dining, but the genuine warmth and willingness of the team to go above and beyond for their guests. I would highly recommend The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu, and I look forward to returning. Thank you to Meria Pan and the entire team for making my stay so memorable!

Located close to Chunxi Road(5 min walk) and Tianfu Square(10 min walk), exit at Exit E1 or Exit A from Chunxi Metro Station for nearest exit. The lobby is huge and clean, the single room also huge and comfortable. The breakfast variety is good for 4* rated hotel with noodle/salad/pastry station and hot dishes like Thai chicken curry, fried mixed vegetable etc, good breakfast to start the day. The staffs are helpful but might hv some difficulty to understand some crucial request. I asked for no room clean but need water bottles and ended up getting none. I very like the carpetted room but I found few strains of hair left, the housekeepers could do abit more hard vacuum during cleaning I guess. Others were spotless. There a lot of eateries and shops around the hotel and this is very convenient for guests. The local post office is nearby for someone love to postcross too. Very recommend this hotel for all travellers coming to Chengdu.

I highly recommend this hotel with five stars! The location is absolutely fantastic, right in the city center. You can walk to Chunxi Road and Tianfu Square, and it's also very convenient to get to other attractions by public transport. The front desk staff were warm and polite, making check-in and check-out super fast. They also patiently helped us with directions and travel routes. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and all the facilities were well-equipped. The bathroom's wet and dry separation was very well done. After a long day of travel, coming back to the hotel for a quiet and comfortable rest was wonderful. There are tons of great food places and shops nearby, so you'll never have to worry about eating or shopping. Choosing this place for a trip to Chengdu truly takes all the hassle out of it. I stayed in an executive twin room on the 19th floor. The hotel is conveniently located right next to Tongzilin subway station, making it easy to get to Yulin and Chunxi Road. The room has been renovated and feels simple yet spacious. The two standard single beds with soft bedding provided ample space for two people. The bathroom features an open-plan shower design, without a bathtub. Booking an executive room grants exclusive access to the executive lounge, with complimentary buffet breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening happy hour. The lounge was quiet with few people, and offered a good selection of light meals and a hot noodle station. The high-floor, floor-to-ceiling windows offered expansive views of the city's nightscape in the southern part of town. All soft drinks in the in-room mini-bar were complimentary, and a coffee machine was provided, ensuring all essential amenities were available. Service was prompt, and the elevators operated smoothly. Overall, the location is convenient, and the executive lounge benefits offer great value for money. However, the bathroom setup is quite basic; I wouldn't recommend it for guests looking for a bathtub or high-end toiletries. It's a great choice for business travelers or short trips.

Every year, I visit Chengdu for a few recuperation trips, and it's always the Grand Hyatt. It feels like visiting old friends… It's been many years, and I've watched the Grand Hyatt grow and improve step by step… Every detail is a testament to the hard work of every Grand Hyatt employee! This National Day, I stayed at the Grand Hyatt again and clearly felt the changes in team management and the subtle improvement in service. The new employees were humble and enthusiastic, and the experienced staff and management showed great insight and quick, effective problem-solving skills – thumbs up! 👍 **Facilities:** The room was cozy and comfortable. The hotel had installed anti-collision protection on sharp corners in the bathroom, and anti-slip reminders around the bathtub. The peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling was also refreshed, and the room corners were clean, with toiletries replenished promptly. **Dining:** The executive lounge ambiance was still great; I especially love that touch of Hermès orange… The cakes, pastries, and drinks were unchanged, still of Grand Hyatt quality. However, the orange juice was too diluted. I suspect the Chinese chef in the executive lounge has changed, as the Chinese food has lost its previous Chengdu characteristics, and the quality of the ingredients is significantly worse than before, especially the cold mixed bean curd skin and garlic pork belly, which were particularly salty. For breakfast, the overall quality and features were maintained. Dandan noodles were still the most popular. However, most of the fruit and vegetable juices were too watered down, affecting the taste and quality. The previous carrot, celery, and bitter gourd juices were replaced by a 'vitality water' that felt cheap. The whole wheat bread was hard and not fresh enough! **Issues and Suggestions:** When collecting entrusted luggage, it's understandable that a luggage tag is required for security. However, if a guest cannot produce the luggage tag due to special circumstances, there should be alternative ways to verify the owner of the luggage, instead of demanding a photocopy of their ID. Such a non-compliant action could lead to the leakage of guest information and undesirable consequences, for which the hotel would be unable to bear responsibility! Finally, I'd like to express my gratitude once again to every staff member of the Grand Hyatt Chengdu for their hard work! I hope the Grand Hyatt Chengdu continues to thrive! Looking forward to my next visit! 👏👏👏👍👍👍🍎🍎🍎🌺🌺🌺

Ever since I received such warm assistance from the Shangri-La during the pandemic, I've chosen this hotel every time I visit Chengdu. Although the hotel is a bit older, all its facilities are very well-maintained. The gym has a full range of high-quality equipment, and the changing rooms offer both steam and dry saunas, as well as a hot tub, definitely meeting a five-star standard. Towels are always plentiful. Housekeeping is punctual every day, and there's even a turn-down service between 6 and 7 PM. I find the breakfast quite good, with a variety of options including Japanese cuisine. The location is also excellent; for younger, more energetic guests, the Lan Kwai Fong bar street is just 100 meters to the right of the hotel. All things considered, the Shangri-La remains one of the top hotels in Chengdu.

We had a pleasant and comfortable stay. Thank you for making our visit to Chengdu so enjoyable! Location: The location is convenient, with around a 15-minute walk to Taikoo Li and IFS. There are also plenty of shops nearby, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Room: The room is clean and comfortable, and the bed is soft and cosy, allowing us to have a good rest after a day of sightseeing. Staff & Service: The staff are attentive, polite and helpful, and they genuinely try their best to accommodate our requests. I would especially like to commend Xiao Mei for her sincere smile and warm service, which made us feel genuinely welcomed. We also greatly appreciated the hotel’s flexibility in extending our check-out time. This thoughtful arrangement allowed us to leave at a more comfortable pace and head to the airport without feeling rushed, making our departure much more relaxing. I was also touched by the helpful lady from the laundry room, who greeted us warmly whenever we passed by and was always ready to offer assistance. Transportation: The hotel is very close to Wenshu Monastery. The white walls, wooden structures, and bluestone courtyards, complemented by bonsai, create a super healing experience when walking on the damp stone paths on a rainy day. Service: The service was attentive and thoughtful, and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast: Most items were freshly made, not pre-packaged meals, which was very enjoyable. Regret: Unfortunately, my itinerary was too tight. I returned late in the evening and had to leave for Huanglong early the next morning. I didn't get to fully immerse myself in the slow pace of the courtyard, which is a small regret from this trip. I really liked the environment and the facilities. An amazing, serene, quiet stay like no other. Don't get me wrong. 4 stars for location only because it is a little remote. It was not easy to geta Didi to go there, and we had a bit of difficulty to book a Didi leaving this beautiful heavenly resort. We arrived this beautiful homestay quite late, having spent the day in Chengdu. Didi ride was almost an hour+. Dinner was fabulous - simple, yet complex with mountain mushrooms in a hot pot. Accommodating even though the kitchen was closing due to our time of arrival. This place certainly did not disappoint. From the quietness of the streams, to the beautiful, tranquil rooms and evoked a sense of harmony and serenity with nature, we felt so at home. We basked in silence of the bamboo that spoke to themselves, and the running waters through the gentle streams. Both the service staff (names as shown - in Mandarin) were excellent and they always wore smiles as lasting as the QingCheng mountains. Service par excellence - nothing less. Thank you for taking care of us, with sincerity and gentleness as the mountains itself. A place to remember, and return. Thank you.

A perfect private hot spring guesthouse! Enjoy bliss in the mountains; the details are simply divine. This mountain hot spring guesthouse deserves five stars! From the moment I stepped into the courtyard, my positive impression soared—the idyllic mountain setting was incredibly soothing, the air filled with the scent of nature, completely away from the crowds. The private hot spring water was reassuringly clean, and the intelligent temperature control was a thoughtful touch. Soaking in it instantly melted away all my fatigue. In the evening, paired with a home theater, the comfort was simply unparalleled. The guesthouse's details were even more stunning: the rustic yet exquisite decor created a wonderful atmosphere, the teaware was so delicate I almost didn't want to leave it behind, and afternoon tea with the mountain view was incredibly pleasant; the smart appliances in the bathroom were convenient and high-end, and even the sweet fermented rice balls with brown sugar were incredibly soft and delicious—you could feel the owner's care. The location is excellent; you can walk to Hejiang Pavilion and Taikoo Li. The area is lively, yet the hotel itself is very quiet. The executive lounge was closed, but all benefits were moved to the all-day dining on the first floor. Both afternoon tea and happy hour were decent. The minibar and complimentary laundry service were a nice touch. Service was prompt and the staff were friendly. However, shortly after I booked, the pool was suddenly announced to be closed. When I spoke to the front desk, they said they didn't have the authority to upgrade me to a suite. Upon check-out, they mistakenly charged for the complimentary laundry service.
