Source from Wikipedia

Futian Station is accessible via metro, bus, taxi, and direct high-speed rail, with seamless airport connections:

From Airports to Futian Station

1. Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport (SZX)

  • By Metro: Take Line 11 directly to Futian Station—no transfers needed. The journey takes 30–40 minutes, and tickets cost just USD 1 (CNY 7–8). It’s the most cost-effective option for solo travelers or those with light luggage.
  • By Taxi/DiDi: A taxi ride takes 30–40 minutes (depending on traffic) and costs USD 15–20 (CNY 110–150). Opt for this if you have large suitcases or arrive after metro operating hours (after 00:30).

2. Hong Kong International Airport (HKG)

  • Airport Express + High-Speed Rail: Ride the Airport Express to Kowloon Station (20 minutes), then take a short taxi trip (5 minutes) or walk (15 minutes) to Hong Kong West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station. From there, hop on the HSR to Futian Station (14–15 minutes)—total travel time is about 1.5 hours, and the full journey costs USD 30–40.
  • Cross-Border Bus + Local Transport: Several direct cross-border coaches run from HKG to Futian District. After clearing immigration at the border, take a quick taxi or metro ride (Line 4/10) to Futian Station—this option is budget-friendly but takes slightly longer (around 2 hours total).

From Hong Kong to Futian Station

1. MTR East Rail Line + Border Crossing (Budget-Friendly)

Take the MTR East Rail Line to Lok Ma Chau Station (terminus). Follow the clear signage to the Futian Port immigration checkpoint—after completing exit procedures in Hong Kong and entry checks in Shenzhen, you’ll walk through a covered corridor directly into Futian District. From there, it’s a short stroll to Futian Station’s entrance (about 10 minutes total from Lok Ma Chau Station).

2. High-Speed Rail (Fastest & Most Comfortable)

Board the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Rail at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station—the non-stop ride to Futian Station takes just 14–15 minutes. Trains run frequently throughout the day (every 10–15 minutes during peak hours), making it ideal for time-sensitive trips. Book tickets in advance via Trip.com or the official 12306 app—both platforms accept international credit cards, and e-tickets are available (scan your passport at the gate to board).

From Shenzhen City Center to Futian Station

1. Metro (Most Convenient for Daily Travel)

Futian Station is a major metro interchange, served by Lines 2, 3, and 11. Trains operate from early morning until late evening (first trains around 06:00, last around 23:30–00:30), with departures every 3–5 minutes during rush hour. English signage is widely available across all stations, so navigating is a breeze—use Exit 15 (for Civic Center) or Exit 29 (for taxis/buses) to reach the station’s main concourse.

2. Taxi or Ride-Hailing (Great for Luggage or Late Nights)

Licensed taxis and ride-hailing apps like DiDi offer door-to-door service to Futian Station. This is a smart pick if you’re carrying heavy bags or traveling after metro hours—fares from Futian CBD cost around USD 4–7 (CNY 30–50), and rides from Shenzhen North Station run USD 10–15 (CNY 70–110). The DiDi app has an English version, making bookings easy for international travelers.

Location was superb, which is within 5 mins walking distance to Coco park shopping mall, and the metro station was just right in front of the mall. The room was a bit small but the kids loved the bath tub and enjoyed the hotel stay. Bed was comfy and room lighting was adjustable which made it very cozy. The only downside was pillows were flat and shower temperature fluctuates a lot so it was annoying to keep having to adjust the water temperature. Nonetheless it was still an enjoyable stay!

The room had a strange odor. I tried to open the window for ventilation, but there was no proper screen. The hotel used a stick-on screen that was already torn and bulging, so it couldn't be properly sealed. The bathroom facilities were also outdated. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant, and the food was just average with limited options. It's hard to believe this hotel is so expensive given these issues.

The hotel's location is excellent, very comfortable and satisfying. The staff are quick, warm, and very attentive. I had a great stay at the hotel. It's conveniently located with easy access to transportation all around. Being in the city center, it's easy to get anywhere, and there's a subway station right across the street, which is really great. The breakfast selection is comprehensive and caters to various tastes. Highly recommended!

This is the best value-for-money hotel in Futian. While not newly renovated, its style and design are classic and beautiful. The front desk kindly upgraded me to a junior suite. Both the living room and bedroom featured large floor-to-ceiling windows with fantastic views. I only had two minor issues: First, housekeeping forgot to provide bottled water. I only realized there wasn't any in the room late at night and had to call room service to get some. Also, upon check-in, I noticed that one of the drawers on either side of the living room was half open and the other was closed, indicating that room service attention to detail could be improved. Second, the room had some smart amenities, but their effectiveness was minimal. For example, the electric trash can and automatic kettle – the latter was actually broken, as the water I set to 100 degrees was still cold after half an hour. Ironically, the things that truly needed an upgrade weren't. On one side of the bed, only the time display had a charging port; one port didn't work, and the other made a loud noise when charging. I ended up having to use the old-fashioned outlet on the other side of the bed. If renovations are planned, I'd suggest focusing on these essential areas. Overall, the positives far outweigh these minor drawbacks. The lobby decor is magnificent, with a strong Christmas atmosphere, and the service was excellent. It's a hotel I really like.

The environment is decent, with city views and commercial areas nearby. The hygiene is also good, and the room was cleaned promptly. The service attitude was quite enthusiastic; they proactively helped upgrade my room type. However, the service quality wasn't the best. Initially, there was a small incident where my luggage was misplaced, though they eventually found it. When I mentioned the bathtub had no rack, the staff didn't offer any solutions until I specifically asked them to get one from an unoccupied room. The hardware facilities are quite old, so the overall experience was just average. Next time I stay here, I'll definitely try to book a renovated room.

This is the service standard a luxury hotel should have! From the moment the reservation was confirmed, a dedicated butler was in touch throughout, proactively confirming our needs and making thoughtful arrangements. For my birthday stay, not only was our room upgraded to a Deluxe Executive Room, but we also received a custom cake and embroidered pillowcases – full of delightful details. Although the room had a classic feel, it was impeccably maintained. The Frederic Malle amenities had a sophisticated scent, and the marble bathroom was spacious and comfortable. The 24-hour room service was incredibly prompt; extra water or pillows were delivered in an instant. The treatments at Yué Spa on the 8th floor were incredibly stress-relieving, with seven spacious treatment suites offering an immersive and relaxing experience. The hotel is a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling city, perfectly suited for business trips, family vacations, or romantic getaways. I've already recommended it to all my friends who appreciate quality!

The hotel is located in the heart of Guomao, just a 5-minute walk from Guomao Metro Station on Line 1, making it very convenient to get to Luohu Port. My stay this time was a pleasant surprise. Although the description suggested the hotel's decor might be a bit older, this Crowne Plaza is exceptionally well-maintained, feeling on par with some equivalent hotels that opened 5-6 years ago. The room, after a complimentary upgrade from the front desk, was spacious and very quiet, ensuring a comfortable stay. The breakfast on the 4th floor offered a rich variety of options, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The fitness facilities were also comprehensive, perfect for evening workouts. Overall, at just over 600 RMB a night, the price was excellent and offered great value for money.

This was my first time staying at the Metropark Hotel Shenzhen. The surrounding area is convenient for getting around by taxi. The hotel lobby isn't huge, but they offer chrysanthemum tea and Hong Kong-style milk tea, which was a thoughtful touch for guests. While I was waiting in line, a staff member pointed out that there was complimentary self-serve tea nearby. My room was a suite, which was very comfortable. Staying alone at 深圳大梅沙京基海灣大酒店 was a genuinely restorative experience. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt calm and unhurried—perfect for someone looking to disconnect and recharge. The room was spacious, quiet, and thoughtfully designed, with a balcony overlooking the sea that made early mornings and late evenings especially peaceful. What I appreciated most was the sense of privacy. Even though the hotel offers full resort facilities, it never felt crowded or overwhelming. I spent hours simply reading by the window, walking along Dameisha Beach, and enjoying the sound of the waves. Meals were relaxed and unpressured, whether dining alone or having a coffee with an ocean view. I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Shenzhen, an international five-star hotel, during the New Year's Day holiday. **Location:** It's situated in Luohu city center, right next to MixC shopping mall and near the Grand Theater subway station. It's only 4 stops by subway to the Convention and Exhibition Center, and close to various Shenzhen attractions and Kkmall. Shenzhen Railway Station is within 2-3 subway stops. **Amenities & Environment:** Although the hotel has been open for a while, its facilities are very well-maintained. Being next to MixC, Shenzhen's most luxurious mall, and surrounded by provincial branches of major banks, it caters to many business travelers. **Room:** The overall decor style is 'old money,' giving a classic and timeless feel. **Cleanliness:** Both the hotel's public areas and guest rooms are very well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. **Service:** The staff are warm and polite, making guests feel right at home. The hotel even added me on WeChat to help book dinner, which was a thoughtful touch. **Dining:** I had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The Grand Hyatt's buffet is always a guarantee of quality, offering a diverse and exquisite selection of dishes, perfect for gatherings. **Summary:** Convenient transportation, attentive service, and excellent value for money. Booked the executive package, which was great. Even the standard room was 70 square meters, which was more than enough. The executive lounge had a good selection of drinks, and the corn chowder at dinner was delicious. Breakfast was buffet-style with no à la carte options, and the variety wasn't extensive. I rarely stay in guesthouses, but this experience truly exceeded my expectations. First off, it's much more stylish and cleaner than the places nearby, which I really appreciated. The room type I stayed in was a bit small, but acceptable; I'll try a different room next time. The staff, especially one young lady, was excellent and very polite. When checking out, she even offered to help me, a man, with my luggage! Of course, I couldn't let her, but I really appreciated the gesture. We had two breakfasts, and my family was quite happy with them. The best part is that they even proactively made a separate portion for my child. What more can I say? This guesthouse experience was absolutely fantastic! 👍🏻 I was amazed by the housekeeper's warmth and enthusiasm the moment I arrived. She patiently explained all the room amenities and gave us personalized tips for local attractions, even suggesting some hidden gems we wouldn't have found otherwise. We didn't need to do any planning at all! The room facilities were superb; the mattress was incredibly soft, comparable to a five-star hotel – once you lie down, you won't want to get up. All the toiletries were excellent too. The 24-hour hot water was steady and comfortable, and the common areas were clean and tidy. They even thoughtfully provided welcome fruits and multi-port charging cables, showing great attention to detail! Quite well located. Nearest is Ren Min South metro. Many eateries located in the area, so are foot massage spas. Very friendly and approachable staff who are also very earnest in their answers. The only two concerns are the breakfast spread (very narrow spread), and very porous door (noise from other rooms through 1 to 3am due to loud talking).

The MIXC Shenzhen and KK100 Shenzhen|4.96km from city center
Shenzhen is never short of top-tier hotels, providing excellent options for celebrating special occasions. As a local living in Futian District, I've experienced several notable hotels, including the Raffles in Nanshan, InterContinental in Dameisha, and Hilton, Sheraton, and Shangri-La in Futian. This time, for my husband's 70th birthday, we chose to stay at The St. Regis Shenzhen in Luohu for two nights. The hotel is located within the KK100 building, offering seamless access to Metro Lines 1 and 2 and KK MALL, making transportation incredibly convenient. Our stay was absolutely fantastic and exceeded all expectations. The hotel's environment, facilities, service, and cleanliness were all impeccable. The room was excellent value, spacious, bright, exquisitely clean, and equipped with high-end amenities. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. The walk-in closet was a great feature. The bathroom was very large with a separate wet and dry area, and the double vanity is a true hallmark of a high-end five-star hotel. Housekeeping and turn-down service were meticulous and thoughtful. We also received welcome fruit. The hotel's service sets a benchmark; it's attentive to detail, comprehensive, and very personable. The staff at the concierge desk on the first floor and those at check-in on the 96th floor were all proactively polite, warm, and welcoming, leaving an excellent first impression. Both the male and female staff were attractive, highly professional, and spoke fluent English. A special shout-out to our room butler, JAY CHEN. He was handsome, polite, and incredibly nice. He proactively brought our luggage to the room, thoroughly explained the room facilities, and described the view from the window. He immediately brought the coffee and welcome fruit we requested. Upon learning it was my husband's birthday the next day, he promptly arranged and personally delivered a beautiful birthday cake on the actual day – a truly surprising, stunning, and touching gesture! Many thanks again to Butler JAY CHEN! The buffet breakfast and lunch on the 95th floor were both superb. For lunch, we were served hairy crab and typhoon shelter prawns at our table, which was absolutely amazing! Excellent value for money! The chefs in the restaurant were skilled and very polite, offering proactive service. The dishes were unique and tasted delicious. All the servers were courteous, swiftly clearing plates and tidying tables with keen eyes and quick hands. They were responsive to all requests and provided timely service. Whenever we encountered staff or management near or inside the elevators, they would proactively hold the door and assist with scanning cards and pressing floor numbers, which was a very heartwarming touch. We also received a small gift upon check-out. These small details show genuine warmth and make all the difference. Because we were so satisfied, we loved it. We will definitely be frequenting the buffet here and will choose this hotel first for future special occasions. I wholeheartedly recommend The St. Regis Shenzhen!

This hotel is close to Sea World, shopping malls like Gateway One, the Sea World Culture and Arts Center, and K11. There are also many dining options nearby, making the location very convenient and close to the subway. The facilities are very new, with a large bathtub and trendy, Instagram-worthy decor. The hygiene is also excellent. Kelly provided wonderful service. It was a great experience! Perfect for a holiday getaway, and I'd come again if I have the chance!

I wanted to visit Chung Ying Street and spontaneously decided to stay here. Among the good hotels nearby, this one is definitely the best. The front desk staff even offered room upgrades with mountain or sea views, and the breakfast was a rich mix of Western and Chinese options.

Westin Nanshan is very conveniently located and is connected to a mall. We had booked one night in the Presidential Suite and another night in Family room. To our pleasant surprise, we were offered an upgrade for the second night in the presidential suite. The facilities were top notch, with private massage chair, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi in the suite. The kids had so much fun enjoying the facilities. Other than that, the breakfast spread in the lobby restaurant and the Westin club was also very good. The hotel also had kids activities for new year. It was such a memorable stay, especially for New Year. Would definitely recommend and come back again

Today I checked into the Renaissance Shenzhen Luohu Hotel, and it's truly a hidden gem! The location is incredibly convenient, right in the heart of Luohu. It's just a short walk from the subway exit, so even with luggage, there's no hassle at all. Plus, there are plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options right around the corner. The hotel itself is very upscale. The lobby has a stylish design with soft lighting and soothing music, making half my travel fatigue disappear the moment I walked in. The room was spacious and bright with an amazing view, especially at night when you can take in the bustling city lights – perfect for photos! The bedding was so comfortable I didn't want to get out of bed, and the soundproofing was excellent; I wasn't disturbed by any outside noise. I have to specially praise the service! The front desk lady, Mina, had a sweet smile and made check-in quick and seamless. I also added Eason from guest relations on WeChat, and he'd typically sort out any requests within five minutes. All the staff were incredibly nice, proactively greeting me, which made me feel truly at home. Overall, the experience was a perfect 10. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shenzhen for leisure or business; it offers great value for money, and I'll definitely be back!

Here's a review of the hotel: * **Convenient Location**: The hotel is situated west of Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, seamlessly connected to gates 16/18. It's just a 5-minute walk to and from the terminal, making it incredibly convenient for travelers catching flights. It's often called ”the best choice for early boarding.” * **Attentive Service**: One guest, staying for the first time, mentioned being pleasantly surprised with a complimentary astronaut doll from the staff. Another guest, using a wheelchair, praised the staff for their helpfulness with luggage, highlighting their thoughtfulness. * **Comfortable Rooms**: A guest in an Airport View King Room described the decor as a relaxing, natural wood style. The 40-square-meter room included a large bathtub and panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of planes taking off and landing. The double-glazed windows provided excellent sound insulation, ensuring a completely quiet experience inside the room. * **Diverse Dining**: The hotel's café blends Shenzhen's diverse local elements, featuring an Italian steak section, a BBQ area, a seafood section, and offers an extensive buffet for both breakfast and dinner. The Xiangyue Chinese Restaurant serves authentic Cantonese and Sichuan-Hunan cuisines. Guests have raved about the ”excellent” breakfast, and one was particularly impressed by the Thai food buffet, noting the wonderfully spicy Tom Yum soup and delicious freshly grilled oysters. * **Excellent Facilities**: The hotel boasts a three-story heated swimming pool, a gym, a saltwater spa, and a flight experience center with extensive family-friendly amenities, as well as a kids' club. These facilities cater to the needs of various guests.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable, located close to the sea with amazing views. We booked a sea-view room, and from our window, we could see many boats and seagulls up close. The piano in the lobby isn't just for show either; there are piano performances every day. The outdoor playground facilities are also great, enough to keep children entertained for two to three hours. The bedding and bathroom amenities are also very well done, allowing a whole family to get comfortably cleaned up and well-rested. The staff's service quality is simply top-notch – very polite and considerate. We'll definitely choose to stay here again next time we visit Shenzhen!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Intercontinental Shenzhen. It is family focused, very clean, rooms are spacious, food is good (especially the breakfast) & there is PLENTY to keep young people occupied. The man-made beach is a HIT for kids and adults alike (complete with pirate ship and swim up bar). We didn’t know that the Chinese Cultural Village is next door & you can access it from this hotel if you have tickets. We will be doing that next time & we will be back! The best hotel we have stayed in since arriving in Shenzhen!

Marriott quality is consistently good. Our butler, Windy, was incredibly attentive. The room faced the sea, offering fantastic views. We visited during the off-season, so it was quiet with fewer people, and both the breakfast quality and service were excellent. We received a voucher for the spa, and having a spa treatment before bed was simply perfect. There were also plenty of facilities for kids, making it great for family activities.

The hotel room was more comfortable than I expected; they even upgraded my room at check-in. As soon as I walked in, I saw an adorable giant mushroom. The room had floor-to-ceiling windows with an unobstructed view of the golf course, so you could watch people playing during the day. The room was well-maintained, and the bathroom was huge, with a bathtub for soaking. The housekeeping department even provides bath salts. In the evening, I tried the Chinese restaurant, and the food was delicious! It was so comfortable staying here that I didn't want to go out at all.

The most delightful surprise during this stay was the service provided by Steven from the concierge team. He truly elevated the hotel experience from merely “nice” to “unforgettable.” Upon check-in, he proactively remembered our last name and greeted us warmly every time we saw him. When he learned we wanted to see the sunrise, he quietly prepared hot drinks and blankets for us by 5 AM, leaving them at the front desk. On our departure day, with a lot of luggage, he not only carefully helped us pack but also looked up a route to avoid traffic beforehand. These thoughtful gestures, going far beyond his official duties, brought warmth to what could have been just a routine service. While hardware ages and ocean views can become familiar, genuine, personalized care is what truly leaves a lasting impression. If I were to return, it would definitely be to experience such professional service again.

I had a wonderful stay at this Maker Hotel. The service and cleanliness were both outstanding. The room was clean and well-maintained throughout my stay, making it a very comfortable and pleasant experience. The front desk staff were always friendly and professional. They helped me collect parcels, provided clear directions to nearby places, and were always ready to assist with a smile. A special mention goes to Ms. Kuan from the reception team. On our last day, she went above and beyond to help us to ensure we all get in the car or to our location. When our premium XL car couldn’t accommodate everyone, she immediately recommended an alternative way to get to the high-speed rail station, which turned out to be very efficient. Her thoughtful assistance left a lasting impression and made our travel so much smoother. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, convenient, and service-oriented place to stay.

The hotel has a great location, very close to Futian Port, making customs clearance super convenient. Futian Mangrove Ecological Park is also nearby, which is perfect for a post-breakfast stroll. The front desk staff, especially one young lady, was incredibly helpful and patient; she gave very detailed directions to the ecological park. The breakfast in the restaurant was also excellent. The room itself was spacious with a good view, offering a distant glimpse of Hong Kong and Shenzhen Bay's inner sea. The bedding was clean and tidy, and all toiletries were provided. Plus, having a washer-dryer combo in the room made it excellent value for money, especially when traveling with elderly family members and children.

FAQs about Futian Station

  • Is Futian Station closed (as shown on Google Maps)?

No—Futian Station is fully operational (HSR and metro running normally). Google Maps’ data for mainland China is often outdated (multiple years in some cases), as confirmed by on-the-ground travelers and Reddit users. For accurate info, use Amap (Gaode Maps), Baidu Maps, or the official 12306 app (for HSR status).
  • How do I go to Futian Station from Hong Kong?

Take the high-speed rail from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to Futian Station (14 mins, USD 8–12). It’s the fastest and most convenient option.
  • Is there immigration at Futian Station?

No—Futian Station is a transport hub, not a border crossing. Immigration checks are done at land ports (e.g., Futian Port) or Hong Kong’s West Kowloon HSR Station.
  • What time is the Futian border crossing?

This refers to Futian Port (not Futian Station)—the port operates 06:30–22:30. Futian Station has no border crossing functions.
  • What line is Futian Station on?

It’s an interchange for Shenzhen Metro Lines 2, 3, and 11, plus the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Rail.
  • What is the cost of a train ticket to Futian Station?

HSR tickets from Hong Kong West Kowloon cost USD 8–12 (second-class); from Guangzhou South, USD 11–15 (second-class). Metro tickets start at USD 0.3.
