The Howard Plaza Hotel has an excellent location, very close to Daan Forest Park and Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT Station. The surrounding area has a full range of amenities and is very safe. The staff are attentive and friendly. As an older hotel, the facilities are a bit dated, and the room decor has a classic, slightly old-fashioned feel, but all of this is perfectly acceptable. The only downside was that the room number sign on my floor (I think it was the 6th floor, facing Ren'ai Road) seemed to be incorrect, directing me in the wrong direction from the elevator. I walked all the way to the end of the hall and couldn't find my room, so I had to turn back and eventually found it in the opposite direction. It was a bit frustrating. I hope they can fix that sign.

Excellent and very friendly service throughout my entire stay from doorman to concierge to front desk to housekeeping to restaurant to gym. Great location next to Shandao temple MRT and within walking distance to Taipei station, nice restaurants, cafes and the famed Fuhang soy milk. I also enjoyed the excellent lunch buffer at the hotel restaurant Kitchen 12 at incredibly reasonable price. But please note that Marriott Bonvoy platinum elite or higher tier members do not receive the usual executive lounge access or free breakfast if you book via Trip.com (you need to book directly with Marriott to enjoy the benefits).

As a 5-star hotel, I don't think they should be promoting self check-in kiosks. A 5-star hotel should provide the expected service, not tell me to use a self check-in machine – I might as well book a 3-star hotel then. And if the self check-in machine wasn't bad enough, it even had problems. Check-in was supposed to start at 3 PM, but when I arrived at 4 PM, it said my room wasn't ready yet? Then I had to go back to the front desk to sort it out. If the machines are so unreliable, why not just let guests check in at the front desk? Furthermore, before checking in, I specifically requested a high floor, and the hotel even replied that for my room type, the highest floor available was the 29th, which shows they saw my note. Yet, upon check-in, I was assigned the lowest available floor, the 12th. I had to request a change again to get moved to the 18th floor – it's just speechless. And to top it off, I can overlook the lack of toothbrushes and toothpaste, but shouldn't a room at least come with two bottles of mineral water as standard? I know there's a water dispenser on every floor, but I'm a tourist. Do you expect me to carry a bottle around everywhere? There's a limit to how 'eco-friendly' one can be.

Fantastic hotel! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here during my trip to Taipei. A fun little bonus was being able to grab candy from the snack shop next door every day. The room was really smart, and I loved having a square bathtub and bath salts. Highly recommend!

The hotel is located near to the Zhongxiao Dunhua station (exit 3) and walking distance from Ming Yao Department Store, Taipei Dome, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park and National Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall. There are also many convenience stores within the vicinity and famous donut stores nearby. During our stay, we travelled by foot from the hotel to Pokemon Center Taipei, Taipei 101 and even to Linjiang Night Market.  The room is spacious. There are bathtub and shower in our room, but due to the law in Taiwan, please prepare your own toothbrush and toothpaste. There are also luggage weighing machine and coin-laundry machines in a small room on the floor where they serve breakfast. While not to expect a widespread of choices, I think their breakfast selection is a decent combination of local dishes and western options. Special mention that their pineapples are very sweet! If you are interested, you may also check out over the counter on the selection of local products that can be ordered and delivered to the hotel. It may save you trouble to locate some of the famous brands in Taipei. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Green World Zhongxiao.

The room was spacious enough and the bed quite comfortable. The no window situation did not work for me, as I then have trouble to get up, but it was in the room description, so that's OK. What I liked a lot, was the shower. Very good water pressure and proper ventilation. What was lacking is tea bags. Kettle and some instant coffee was provided. Tea bags would've been awesome! Overall, if you can forgive the no window thing, I can definitely recommend this hotel. The location is superb and the style quite fun.

Facilities: Comprehensive and well-equipped, including bottled water. Hygiene: Clean and spotless. Environment: Comfortable and quiet. You can easily walk to nearby areas for strolls, food, and drinks, or take the hotel shuttle to the metro and bus stations, which is very convenient! Service: It was okay. Taiwan promotes environmental protection, so they tend to provide less service if possible, haha.

This hotel is conveniently located near both the airport and Taipei Main Station. A taxi from Songshan Airport cost me TWD 250 and took only 15 minutes. It's about an 8-minute walk to Zhongshan MRT station, which is close to Eslite Bookstore and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. I enjoyed strolling from Chifeng Street all the way to Ningxia Night Market – it's a great area to explore. The room itself was well-appointed with thoughtful design. The buffet lunch, priced at TWD 2000 per person, was quite refined. I also visited the sauna at night; the facilities were well-maintained and very clean. It's a shame I couldn't use the outdoor pool due to the rain this time. Overall, I felt it offered good value for money, though the view from the window in the standard room type was a bit uninspiring.

We just returned to the Philippines after a wonderful 10-day stay at Finders Hotel Qufian, and we truly couldn’t be happier with our experience. We came in not expecting much, but this hotel completely exceeded our expectations. The staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and made both check-in and check-out smooth and easy. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. We absolutely loved the ambience of the hotel, everything was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, especially for families. Traveling with a child can sometimes be challenging, but this place had everything we needed. The kids’ playroom was a highlight, our daughter loved it so much and genuinely enjoyed every moment of our stay. The room, while not very large, was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The temperature and heating were just right, making it very relaxing after long days of exploring. The bed is more of a typical Asian-style mattress (not super soft), but it was perfectly fine for us and didn’t affect our comfort. Breakfast was consistently excellent. We especially enjoyed the Chinese cuisine selection, and the unlimited beverages, coffee, snacks, and even noodles were such a thoughtful touch, perfect for those late-night cravings! The WiFi was fast and reliable, which was important for me as I had online meetings and even did some Netflix streaming without any issues. Location-wise, it’s fantastic, close to many of Taipei’s must-see attractions like Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, National Taiwan Museum, and 228 Peace Memorial Park (which we absolutely loved). It’s also conveniently near NTU Hospital Station, making it easy to get around the city. This is a hotel I would highly recommend, especially for families traveling with kids. In fact, I’ve already recommended it to friends! We will definitely be booking here again on our next trip to Taiwan.

The room was small but clean. The cleaning products used in the bathroom had a strong smell. The location is absolutely fantastic - a lot of small cafes and convenience shops are nearby, and Ximen metro station is just minutes away. The hotel offers water, selected soft drinks, instant noodles, and snacks for free! The blinds situation can be improved — they do not cover the entire bathroom, so by 7am the room is too bright to sleep in without an eye mask.

The location is very near to main station. Twin sharing room with friend was a bliss as both of us have our own tv, like our own private resting place. The only thing need to highlight is the signage to locate our room number. We couldn’t find our room (which is at one of the corner) at the beginning as it is not within the range of the signage. Overall room stay is okay.

I’m very satisfied with our stay at Roader Plus Hotel. The lobby is superb with friendly staffs (even at late night there are many of them supporting our needs). The design is beautiful and clean as advertised in photos. Lots of “interesting” snacks and very thoughtful to have disposable chopsticks, spoons, microwave, mineral water bottles, water heater and coffee packs for supper whenever needed. And we can chill at the eating area watching cartoons on big screens with kids. There is luggage packing area too for us to weight our luggages, and provide guidelines for different airlines limits (a list of table stick on the wall). Other than the cinema, there are 2 play areas for kids to hangout too. And there’s a laundry room with sufficient washing machines and dryer. The room is relatively compact but very neat and clean, limited space for luggage after open. The only downside is don’t have chair in the room, understand it’s due to limited space but it’s acceptable. The shower water pressure is very high (good), love it! Overall, it’s one of the best hotel I experience in this trip. Well done and keep it up!

The location of the Hotel isn't that convenient to go to, so it's recommend to look at their shuttle bus timing or simply book an Uber to ride up the hill. Each room that you book also comes with a 1x free visit to the outdoor Spa facilities so I highly suggest you to bring a swim wear to go as it's pretty good even at night time. As for the room it's spacious like other reviews photos have shown but not a lot of people have shown the bathroom/toilet so I'm including it here. It's a very spacious Toilet with the bathtub that has the Onsen water, and the shower head beside the bathtub.

I have a special soft spot for this place! I've visited five times within a year, and each time there's been a small improvement. This time, the tall, slender, handsome guy at reception told me we could use the public hot spring twice a day, and I finally got to try the mango pudding and milk jelly I'd only ever seen before! That really changed my mind for the better. And for breakfast, they even had a fresh-ground coffee machine – that was a pleasant surprise! However, this was probably the smallest room I've stayed in during all my visits. But there's a good chance I'll be back for a sixth time this year...

Taipei Railway Station Area Taipei|2.79km from city center
Great service and location, but an absolute nightmare of a stay Rating: 1/5 I booked this hotel for a one-night trip to Taipei for a concert—just me, alone, excited to see my idol. Unfortunately, the stay itself was a total nightmare. Let me start with the positives: the service is excellent—knowledgeable, quick, and polite. The location is also perfect, with a direct path from the Taipei MRT station to the hotel, and you can reach Taoyuan Airport in under an hour. There's even a water machine in the corridor, which was handy for getting hot water. But that's where the good ends. The hotel is shockingly old—worse than any dilapidated hotel in Hong Kong at a third of the price. For what I paid, I did not expect this level of neglect. I couldn't book a single or double room, so they gave me a room with three beds. I lay down on the first bed furthest from the window and soon felt itchy—I suspect bed lice. The other two beds near the window seemed fine, but that's already unacceptable. And the blankets were so thin I felt completely insecure—like there was nothing protecting me. The bathroom was a disaster. Hair on the wall, a small dark spot in the bathtub, and no hairdryer. The toilet barely flushed—I had to press the button multiple times, and the toilet paper just wouldn't go away. As for the shower—I've never seen anything like this in 40 years of traveling. Not even in mainland China hotels I visited as a kid with my grandparents. The knob was super loose and barely functional. Turning it to the hot water side did nothing—no water came out. Slightly turning the other way (still on the red hot side) gave only cold water. I could not get hot water at all. At breakfast, I overheard Japanese ladies complaining about the exact same issue. Unbelievable. There were also zero amenities. They hide behind ”eco-friendly,” but in Japan, you can still ask for supplies. Here, I didn't even have tissue paper in the room—I had to go back to the toilet to get toilet paper. I couldn't take a proper shower. I feel so dirty and uncomfortable. Truly a nightmare. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Overall, my stay was very satisfying. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation and a well-developed surrounding area. What impressed me most was the room's view – Taipei 101 was clearly visible from the window, offering different beauty both day and night. Especially when the lights came on at night, the entire city's atmosphere was captivating, giving a relaxing and therapeutic feeling. The room itself was clean and tidy, with efficient use of space. The bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was good, ensuring a restful sleep. The bathroom facilities were complete, with stable hot water, and the overall hygiene was reassuring. The hotel staff were friendly, making check-in and check-out very smooth, and any issues were promptly addressed. Additionally, there are many restaurants and convenience stores around the hotel, making daily life very convenient. It's suitable for both short trips and slightly longer stays. If you're visiting Taipei, especially looking for accommodation with a city view and good value for money, this hotel is a worthwhile option to consider. The location of this hotel is perfect, situated right next to 101. A short walk across the footbridge and you have access to a number of restaurants and food court. Great hotel if you plan to spend a lot of time relaxing there. Breakfast is great with many options and the dining room is huge and comfortable, so that’s perfect if you hate to queue for a table. The spa/swimming pool/gym is definitely the highlight of the hotel if you need to work out and relax! Lowlights are location and also we eventhough the overall staff was great, we were just unlucky with a total useless lady at the front desk helping us check in. Even though I booked through different platforms, I mentioned it to the front desk when checking in, and the staff happily arranged for me to stay in the same room for the entire duration. The room was a large double. The only minor issue was that the soundproofing wasn't great. I needed to cut some fruit, and they quickly sent a staff member with a knife and fork, and even a plate. Is this a good hotel? Yes, but it's also lacking in many aspects. It leaves a bad impression on returning guests. My last stay was a very unpleasant experience, and I believe most guests wouldn't return a second time, but I'm a loyal customer and a member. Last time, the housekeeping supervisor sincerely apologized, followed up multiple times, and promised to earn my trust, asking for another chance. That's why I stayed here again. ”Today's sword doesn't slay yesterday's man” – the room upgrade or suite promised by the previous supervisor, Ms. Chen, was naturally nonexistent (I later found out she had already left). Even the welcome fruit, welcome drink, and complimentary gift that were previously offered were all omitted. The treatment was worse than my first stay. Turndown service wasn't provided, making me wonder if I was at an economy hotel. At least I'm a senior member of this group, not the highest tier, but I feel misled. Even if the guest booked a standard room this time, the treatment shouldn't be so drastically different from the previous suite stay. This hotel seems dedicated to transforming itself into an economy hotel. For example, they don't provide toothbrushes, bath salts, or mouthwash. The room decorations are paper flowers. Their official app offered an option to request a toothbrush. I clicked it in the afternoon and received a system confirmation, but it was never delivered to my room, nor was I informed by phone that they couldn't provide it. After searching the entire room in the middle of the night and finding none, I finally learned they don't provide toothbrushes. One phrase stuck with me: ”You won't find a single toothbrush in any hotel in Taipei right now.” After checking out here, I went to Villa 32, and they provided one proactively without any excuses. When I called their on-duty staff to inquire, all I received were endless complaints about their mayor and policies. When I mentioned my vocal cords were damaged and I couldn't talk on the phone for long, he interrupted me and continued to ramble on. They seem to lack a complete management system and service process. I called in the afternoon to request two tea bags, but they weren't delivered that day. The next morning, I called again, and they said ”shortly,” but the service was never completed by check-out time. I mentioned this incident when I stored my luggage at the concierge, and they confidently told me they would give me the tea bags when I picked up my luggage. Predictably, their promise remained empty. They shouldn't have promised anything at all. There probably won't be a next time. Because this time was even worse than the last.

Good location. Near Liao Ning night market. Wet market just behind the hotel, I managed to buy roast chicken in one morning and roast fish in another morning. The fish is really fresh, soft and nice. Best breakfast I had. Liao Ning market Oysters egg tried twice. Nice stay.

Facilities: Although the hotel opened in the 2000s, it feels very new. Hygiene: Excellent, even cleaner than expected. Environment: The lobby is decorated with great style, and the rooms are decent, but the downside is that breakfast is just average.

I had an exceptional stay at Éclat Hotel Taipei. The room was immaculate and beautifully designed with high-end touches like a Dyson hair dryer and a Nespresso machine. The staff were incredibly attentive and professional, making the check-in process seamless. I also loved the location it’s in the heart of Da’an District, very close to the MRT and surrounded by fantastic restaurants and convenience stores. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Taipei!

I personally feel that this hotel is in a very 'local' area. How do I put it? It feels like living alongside ********* people, surrounded by their daily lives. The night market is 'right next door,' and the entire street downstairs is filled with everyday shops, markets, and food stalls that cater to locals. It's a bit far from Taipei Main Station (over 1km), but about a 10-minute walk to Shuanglian MRT Station. The hotel staff are all great – from the front desk gentlemen and office ladies to the cleaning staff and canteen employees, everyone is polite and has a good attitude. The breakfast was delicious.
