What Is the Vietnam Arrival Card?
Vietnam currently operates two separate but related entry documents:
- The Digital Pre-Arrival Card (New 2026) – A mandatory online declaration for travelers arriving at select airports, generating a QR code to speed up immigration.
- The NA1 Form (Entry/Exit Form) – The traditional arrival/departure declaration still required for Visa on Arrival (VOA) applicants and used at land/sea borders.
The NA1 Form replaced the old M3 form and serves as a combined entry/exit declaration that immigration officers stamp in your passport. The new Digital Pre-Arrival Card does not replace your visa or the NA1 (for VOA travelers) — it is an additional electronic step to reduce airport congestion.

- Complete between 1–7 days before arrival
- Best time: 2–3 days before departure — allows time to correct mistakes

Staff are all very friendly, helpful and communicates in English well.
Cons: they don't have a swimming pool as what is advertised on its amenities. It's more like a spa pool where clients can sit, dip and maybe drink some coctails while watching the night lights and relaxing with the zen environment. However, the spa pool is perfect for my 8 yo nephew. He can play, swim on the pool without us worrying that the water might be deep for him. Bath tub is high so its not good for a short elderly client who got issues with mobility. My 78 yo mom got a hard time climbing in and out of the tub as its also slippery. Hello, I was the guest in room 206, checking in on June 30th. After resting for a bit, I went out around 3 PM. When I left, my suitcase was open, and inside were clothes and a GoPro camera, which was attached to a neck strap mount and not easy to remove. When I returned in the evening, I noticed the room had been tidied. The next morning, I checked out and left my luggage at the hotel. Around 6 PM that afternoon, I returned to pick up my luggage to go to the airport. During that time, I opened my suitcase once at the luggage storage area to put something in. I didn't use the GoPro at all during my two days and one night in Ho Chi Minh City, so I didn't pay close attention to it. Afterward, I flew directly to Hanoi, and at the hotel there, I discovered my GoPro was missing from my suitcase, with only the neck strap mount remaining. I contacted you to help me look for the camera, but you said it hadn't been seen. After returning home, I carefully replayed all the events in my mind, and it's only possible that it went missing at your hotel. Hotel Nikko Saigon — one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had
My stay at Hotel Nikko Saigon was genuinely exceptional. I have stayed at other Nikko properties before, including Nikko Kansai Airport and Nikko Guam, and I can honestly say that Nikko Saigon exceeded both of them. In fact, the level of service was even better than what I experienced at my previous destination in Singapore, including at the Marriott hotel where I stayed.
From the moment I arrived, I was incredibly impressed by the staff. The doormen and reception staff were waiting to greet guests at the entrance, and one of the staff members noticed my Japanese passport and kindly spoke to me in Japanese. She explained everything about the hotel and even helped carry my heavy backpack. These small details made me feel genuinely welcomed and cared for.
One moment in particular made a very strong impression on me. I was travelling alone, and when my Grab driver suddenly started asking me for additional payment, claiming that he had “forgotten to add it through the app,” I was completely caught off guard. I had no cash with me because I thought I could manage a 22-hour layover entirely cashless.
I wasn’t even sure what amount the driver was asking for in the end, but the hotel staff immediately stepped in. They scanned a QR code, checked something on the driver’s phone, and I asked whether he had paid or whether I could transfer the amount or add it to my hotel bill. The staff simply told me not to worry about it and handled the situation themselves. As a young woman travelling alone, I honestly don’t know what I would have done if I had arrived at a hotel where the staff had not intervened. The two doormen in particular made sure the situation was handled and that I was safely away from the car. I am incredibly grateful to them.
The turn-down service was also absolutely outstanding. It was so seamless and thoughtful that it genuinely surprised me. The staff entered the room while I was away, and although I had left my belongings somewhat scattered around, they had taken such care with everything. They had even carefully flattened out the wrinkled receipts I had left on the table, cleared away my empty coffee cup, and left chocolates on the bed. It was an incredibly thoughtful touch.
The only thing I would mention as a small concern is that I was not aware that the staff had entered my room while I was away. Since I had left some personal belongings scattered around, I would have appreciated being informed beforehand. That said, the care they took with the room and the little details more than demonstrated how attentive the staff were.
Literally, this is one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The combination of genuinely warm hospitality, attentiveness, and thoughtful service was outstanding. Hotel Nikko Saigon has set an extremely high standard for me, and I would happily return without hesitation.FromTWD 4,374

Description is overselling this property a bit but all in all a good place to stay. Good space and design is nice though finish a bit worn. Balcony tub seemed interesting but when the view is a huge AC vent a few meters across the alley it wasn’t that inviting in the end. Anyway did not encounter any real problems during the stay and the staff was consistently good.
Location is good, yet quiet at night. Check- in procedure was overly complicated and I get the idea with welcome drink and snack and someone coming to you with the paperwork as a kind of premium experience but I think its better saved for a resort than a city hotel.
Did like the restaurant and breakfast spread is very good with both local and international options.

This is a hotel of contradictions.
The facade is impressive. It's centrally located in District 1 near restaurants, shops and the Western quarter. The buffet breakfast selection is pleasing. The room size is generous. Staff are friendly and helpful. There's a forward thinking eco-friendly policy which clearly implemented throughout the hotel.
However, the hotel is let down by some of its facilities. For example, in the bathroom a spa has been placed under a shower head so that when you shower the water runs down the wall and floods across the bathroom floor from one side to the other and in front of the hand basin. The hot and cold water taps turn on in opposite directions and the cold tap is not fitted properly which causes it to move. My children were unable to turn the shower on or off without adult help. The shower head is also too low and my 6 foot husband had to crouch down to shower.
Another problem area is the rooftop pool area. The clear rooptop pool perimeter fence is woefully too low. I watched a child climb out of the pool to the ledge between the pool and the perimeter fence and I was very worried for his safety. One wrong slip or stumble and there's nothing stopping the child from toppling over the edge and 11 floors down.

This place is hard to find even to some locals, and its especially hard for foreigners to come by for the first time. It's a newly building with security at the lobby, and there are shops and restaurants near by which is convenient. However; there is hardly a management of this property, we booked for 4days 3 nights and there were only 4 bottles in total and we had no respond when we required for more water bottles.(good thing is shops are close by.) Secondly, we also had no respond when we requied of house cleaning, we found and killed Cockroaches everyday. Last but not least, the third night of stay hot water running out, I had to take a cold shower. I don't mind taking cold showers in Vietnam's current weather, its just i didnt have an option of hot water makes this stay less worthy.
There are also some pros of this property, the views are good, you get to see the landmark 81 building right outside the window, and some parts of river view. Besides the views, they use good quality bedding appliances (mattresses are great) and electrical appliances(dryer in your closet, you get to hang your wet clothes, sanitize and dry them).

This hotel is perfect for just lying around, relaxing, and doing absolutely nothing.
We stayed in the Aqua Villa. The room was excellent – clean, beautiful, and comfortable.
The private in-room pool had rather warm, even hot, mineral water. The downside was that over the week, the pool was only cleaned once, on the first day. A lot of leaves and flowers fall into the pool.
Breakfasts were excellent.
On weekdays, the hotel was almost empty. It only got busier on weekends.

There's only one restaurant. There are no shops or anything else. You can't rent a motorbike anywhere.

You can only get to Binh Chau by taxi – 300,000 VND round trip.
There's absolutely nothing to do in Binh Chau. And everyone stares at Russians like they're some exotic creature. Everyone wants to come up and say 'Hallow'.
Conclusion: If you just want to relax in peace and quiet, do nothing, simply unwind and benefit from the mineral pools and mud baths, this is an excellent option!
If you're looking for hustle and bustle with lots of restaurants, shops, and tourists – this is definitely not the place for you!

We loved our stay at the hotel! The staff was great and helpfull, the breakfast was very nice with multiple options including an egg station and fresh juices. There is a pool, but we did not use it. I was very disappointed with the attitude of the hotel staff during my stay. Several employees came across as arrogant and unhelpful, especially at the front desk. Instead of providing assistance, they often made me feel as if my questions and requests were an inconvenience. This is not the level of professionalism I expect from a hotel in this price range. I hope management will address this issue and provide better training in customer service and basic courtesy.

3️⃣On my business trip to Vietnam, I managed to avoid all sorts of traps, even preparing plastic bags for the security check where you have to take off your shoes! Who would've thought that on my last night in Ho Chi Minh City, I'd stumble upon thousands of people gathered in the square watching a live football broadcast? 😅 At first, I didn't realize how serious it was. After enjoying the excitement, I headed back to the hotel, planning to get some early rest as I had an early flight the next morning. But then! After the fun, the nightmare began. The loudspeakers downstairs blared non-stop, and the noise continued until past 4 AM. I had to wake up at 6 AM the next day to catch my flight to Singapore, and I was basically kept awake for several hours. 😭😭😭 Who would've thought staying in downtown Saigon would subject me to such an ordeal? A Truly Memorable Stay
I had a wonderful stay at Liberty Central Saigon Citypoint during my birthday trip to Ho Chi Minh City. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, attentive and professional. The housekeeping, bell boys, concierge and front desk team were all excellent and made me feel genuinely welcomed throughout my stay.
What touched me most was the thoughtful birthday surprise. 🎂❤️ I was pleasantly surprised when the hotel presented me with a birthday cake during my stay. I truly did not expect it, and although it may seem like a small gesture, it honestly made my day. I really appreciated the effort and thoughtfulness behind it.
The location is also fantastic very central and within walking distance to major shopping destinations such as Takashimaya and Saigon Centre, making it incredibly convenient for shopping, dining and exploring the city. KKV just next door and cinema within the hotel premises.
Overall, this was such a lovely and memorable stay. Thank you to the entire team for making my birthday trip even more special. Your warm hospitality and attention to detail truly made a difference. ❤️

Facilities are dated, the room can be a bit noisy, and the swimming pool is too small and deep. It's however forgiven after knowing how much history this hotel keeps. Also breakfast is a bit simple with few options for either local and international food.

I was impressed by the attentiveness of all the staff, but I'm deducting one star for the front desk staff. I wanted help booking a restaurant for my birthday dinner, but the staff just typed on the computer and said it was full. Overall, the hardware is excellent, but the front desk service needs improvement.
My overall stay was actually quite good. The hotel lobby is spacious and beautiful, with a strong sense of design, and there are many comfortable seats, making the wait during check-in quite pleasant. The room was also satisfactory – clean, spacious, and equipped with a bathtub; the overall hardware facilities were excellent.
The breakfast was the highlight. The breakfast area is on the top floor, where you can walk out onto the outdoor terrace to enjoy views of Ho Chi Minh City. The morning breeze was very refreshing. The food selection was incredibly diverse, including Vietnamese, Chinese, Western, Japanese, and Indian cuisines, offering such a wide variety it felt like a dinner buffet, just without seafood. One or two floors above the top floor, there’s also a large infinity pool, with a very relaxing environment. However, the pool is quite deep, reaching around shoulder height, so be mindful when using it.
However, some unpleasant incidents occurred on the day of check-out. There's an electronic entertainment/game area on the 4th floor, and staff mentioned that each guest room receives a USD25 voucher. After I collected the voucher for my room, my friend was checking out of their room next to me. I reminded the front desk staff to give them their voucher, but the staff member seemed to ignore me and continued with the check-out process. Only afterwards did they say that since the room was already checked out, they couldn't issue the voucher. When I tried to explain further, the staff member became impatient and even slammed documents on the counter, making their colleagues a bit awkward. Ultimately, I had to escalate the issue to another manager, who then helped to cancel the original check-out process and re-issue the voucher to my friend.
Additionally, for a hotel of this caliber, I had expected a welcome drink to be offered proactively, but it was self-service, requiring guests to fetch it themselves. I felt that the attention to service details could be better.
In summary, the hotel's hardware, rooms, breakfast, and pool are all quite good, but the front desk's service attitude and how they handle guest inquiries still have room for improvement. Sound proofing is not very good as we can hear an elderly couple quarreling on our 2nd night at a building rooftop near the hotel. Made a remark in my booking on our wedding anniversary and hotel made the effort to design the bed. There were issues with the aircon before we checked in and we were offered drinks on their 10th floor cafe (which served hi-tea for guest daily). Hello! We stayed in Ho Chi Minh City in early August 2026. We booked this hotel in advance and didn't regret it! We even returned for another night on our way back, which is the best review of our stay! The design, furniture, and interior items are all in my favorite colonial (I assume) style, which gives the hotel an authentic feel! The breakfasts are also worth mentioning positively; there's a buffet selection, and you can order several additional dishes from the menu (traditional soup, eggs Benedict on toast, pancakes)! You can have breakfast either inside or on the veranda. The restaurant is located on the 10th floor and offers a great view! The restaurant also operates à la carte. In the evening, you can truly enjoy dishes in a pleasant atmosphere with a beautiful view of the city lights! The à la carte prices at the restaurant are somewhat higher than average, but standard for restaurants with a similar ambiance. The dishes are interesting. The hotel staff is pleasant, very responsive, and ready to help at any moment! Our interactions with the hotel staff were very comfortable. Thank you again! The location is also excellent – not on a busy road, yet close to attractions, activities, and cafes. We walked to the main shopping centers! We definitely recommend this hotel! It was our first ever trip to Vietnam and it was amazing city saigon. Although the language was an issue at the start wr managed to try to connect mostly with eveyrone. The staff at the hotel were beyond amazing in their service and gestures. They even surprised my mum with a doorstep cake for her birthday! KUDOS TO THE RECEPTION TEAM AND BRYAN WHO WAS SO CALM AND PATIENT IN EXPLAINING AND HELPING US OUT. 🥰😊

The room was tiny and not worth the price; it felt more like a motel than a hotel.
The breakfast buffet wasn't very rich – wouldn't recommend it. No wonder there were so few people...
In the public facilities, the two treadmills in the gym seemed different, which was odd.
The pool was actually quite small (it looked much bigger in photos), but the rooftop view was pretty good.
Some amenities were available on the second floor for self-service.
Also, the restaurant was located one floor above the guest rooms, which was a bit strange to have to take the stairs up. Luckily, we were assigned to the top floor, so we could just walk up directly without having to take the elevator and then stairs.
The only good thing was its convenient location in the city center; the area around it was also very lively.
The room cleaning was spotless, and the front desk staff were very friendly.
The TV could connect to Netflix and YouTube.
Plus, there were free washing and drying machines, which was a nice bonus.
If I were to stay again, I wouldn't add breakfast, and if the price is over 2,000 NTD, I wouldn't choose this place again.
(I had previously stayed at another 4-star hotel at a similar price point, but the overall experience here was very disappointing in comparison.
