Good location, walking distance from Wangfujing. Excellent stay. Smooth check-in for my prepaid booking (1,000 RMB deposit required). The hotel features beautiful classic decor and spacious rooms. The shower pressure was impressive and the breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. Highly recommended.

I booked a suite, and the room was spacious with decent bedding, and the service was good. However, the lobby, the breakfast restaurant on the basement floor, and the dinner restaurant on the second floor were all incredibly cold. I had to eat wearing a coat! Are they that stingy with the air conditioning? Also, the colorful lights on the bedroom TV wall and headboard made it look like a KTV, it was quite startling at night. What kind of design is this? Is there no sense of aesthetics? I've stayed in many hotels, but this is the first time I've seen such a gaudy headboard – it was really creepy. The electric curtain switches were broken, so one large curtain couldn't close. I couldn't even close it manually because the sofa was right against the window… Speechless. The afternoon tea looked nice but tasted terrible. The lion and turret were made into big chocolate lumps, there wasn't a single slice of cake, and there were four rock-hard scones. Apart from the fruit, nothing was good. It was so subpar and didn't match the price. In summary, aside from the large room and good hygiene, the hotel lacked character and felt very dated. I wouldn't recommend it for the price. I strongly suggest immediately removing the red and blue background wall and fixing the electric curtains!

This time, I brought my child to the hotel. I'd inquired beforehand and knew they couldn't provide a crib, so I made do by pushing the sofa and bed together to create a safe sleeping space. The hotel's service attitude was good, and the room was very spacious. I tried out the pool in the morning; it's connected to the gym. There weren't any staff around, so no towels were provided, but the water temperature was lovely and warm. The pool itself is small but very quiet.

This stay was fantastic! The hotel's location is super convenient, right outside a shopping district and subway station. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and check-in was incredibly fast. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding soft and comfortable, and it was so quiet at night that I slept soundly until morning. The breakfast had a great variety of Chinese and Western options, and tasted delicious. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

We drove from Shanghai to Beijing, and this hotel is conveniently located right by the Second Ring Road. Compared to many other hotels in this area that charge for parking, the Chang Fu Gong offers free parking when booking through Trip.com, which is fantastic value for money. The Jianguomen subway station is directly opposite the hotel, just a 5-minute walk, making it easy to get anywhere. Across the street are several consulates. Despite the elevated highway nearby, the soundproofing is excellent, so it's not noisy at all. The rooms feature a Washlet (bidet toilet seat) and disposable exfoliating mitts for showering. The hotel staff are incredibly responsive and helpful with any requests. The doormen at the entrance are very observant; they open the car door and help with luggage as soon as a car arrives. Downstairs, there are various dining options like Ziguan Garden, Lawson, and McDonald's, catering to different tastes. Overall, the hotel boasts an excellent location, great value, and superb service. It's a place I would definitely choose again. I'm very grateful to have had such a wonderful hotel experience during my Beijing trip.

Tian'anmen Square and Wangfujing Area Beijing|0.86km from city center
1️⃣ The hotel's location is truly unbeatable. Subway Line 2 is right at the entrance, and Tiananmen Square is only about 1.5 km away by bike, making it very convenient for sightseeing. Although it's a bit far from the Summer Palace, the location itself is genuinely great. 2️⃣ Now, about the service. On the night of the 30th, perhaps because the hotel is older, the soundproofing was exceptionally poor. Why do I say exceptionally poor? It was to the point where you could hear conversations from the next room crystal clear. This wasn't a huge issue until a man checked into the room next to us on the night of the 30th. His snoring was so incredibly loud that it was impossible to sleep. It was already past midnight, so I called the front desk. It seemed to be an intern who answered, and they very pleasantly moved us to another room, which was an upgraded room with an outer window. However, after the switch, the upgraded room was actually a bit smaller than the original one we were in. Since I had a 30-inch suitcase, it was quite cramped and difficult to move around once opened. Also, the room lacked an air purifier. All in all, the upgraded room was significantly less comfortable than the original one. I asked the intern at the front desk if they could offer a complimentary breakfast as compensation, but perhaps the intern didn't have the authority, so they didn't agree. A few minutes later, the lobby manager called, explained the differences in the upgraded room, apologized, offered a complimentary breakfast, and arranged for housekeeping to deliver an air purifier and a humidifier (they initially sent the wrong item, so comrade Jianjun from housekeeping had to make two trips at such a late hour, which I felt very bad about, but comrade Jianjun's attitude was consistently good and not impatient at all, and I really want to praise him for that). (The room was a bit warm, and I asked the front desk several times if there was a way to alleviate it. One reason was the central air conditioning, and the other was the in-room AC. Even after turning off the in-room AC, it was still very stuffy, and no other solutions were offered. However, the lobby manager on duty on the night of the 30th suggested bringing a humidifier, which felt very thoughtful. Overall, the solutions were very comforting). The room is a bit old, given its age, but most of the staff are very enthusiastic, and transportation is convenient. I would still choose this hotel next time I visit Beijing.

We booked a family room and it was incredibly spacious, essentially two standard rooms joined together. Having two bathrooms was a huge convenience; both adults and children could get ready without any hassle. The water heated up quickly and the pressure was consistently strong. The location is perfect for sightseeing – it's super easy to get to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and the National Museum. Wangfujing Pedestrian Street is right next door, there's a 7-Eleven across the street, and a Qingfeng Steamed Bun shop. Diagonally opposite is Zigongyuan Roast Duck, which always has a huge line because it's so popular. There are countless things to praise about this place! We stayed for 5 days and were very satisfied. The only minor drawback was the limited TV channels; there were only about 30 local stations available.

The location is super convenient, with a large mall right next door so you'll never run out of dining options. The streetlights create a beautiful ambiance, and it's very close to Siji Minfu (a famous Peking duck restaurant). After getting my makeup done, I walked straight to the Forbidden City, which was incredibly smooth. The hotel front desk staff were very friendly, and they even gave me some Daoxiangcun pastries when I checked out.

Whenever I'm in Beijing, I usually book at Communal. The location is excellent, and getting around by subway is super convenient. They even upgraded my room to a suite with a living room, fully equipped with everything I needed. The humidifier and air purifier were a really thoughtful touch. The soft drinks in the mini-bar were complimentary too. No need to worry about dry skin either, as they provide a large bottle of body lotion. The gym is on the 16th floor; you can get a good half-hour strength workout in. The hotel breakfast is also great. Although the space isn't huge, it's very refined. This time, I discovered the cold chicken breast salad was really delicious. I hope the quality remains consistent. I'll definitely return if I have the chance.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beijing **Peace Hotel (Beijing)** Review My stay at the Peace Hotel in Beijing was an overall delightful experience and exceeded my expectations. 📍 **Location** The hotel boasts an excellent location in the heart of Wangfujing. It's incredibly convenient for shopping, dining, and reaching major attractions, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers. 🛏️ **Room & Comfort** The room was clean, tidy, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and reassuring stay. Despite being in a bustling city area, the room was quiet, allowing for a good night's rest to alleviate the day's fatigue. 🤝 **Service (Special thanks to the Front Desk Team)** I'd like to extend a special thanks to the front desk staff: **Eric, Zane, Anna, Eva, Harry, and Lena.** All six staff members demonstrated high professionalism and patience. They were incredibly thoughtful in assisting with transportation arrangements, providing directions, and preparing 'Please drive me to' cards, which made communication seamless for international travelers and ensured a smooth and worry-free check-in process. 🏨 **Overall Impression** The Peace Hotel not only possesses historical charm but also balances practicality with a personal touch, making it a reliable and welcoming establishment. While it may not be the most luxurious option, its meticulous service and prime location truly make guests feel cared for. ✅ **Highly recommended** for travelers who value quality service, convenient location, and an overall positive stay experience. I will definitely choose to stay at the Peace Hotel again on my next visit to Beijing.

Our stay at the Marriott Beijing Changping was fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The buffet breakfast was a highlight, featuring a delicious variety of both Western and Asian options that satisfied everyone's tastes. The Kids Club was a hit with our family, providing a fun and engaging space for our children. We also thoroughly enjoyed the hot springs, which were the perfect way to unwind. Grand Hyatt Beijing in Dongcheng is an excellent choice for travelers seeking both comfort and convenience. Its prime location near two metro stations and within walking distance to Wangfujing makes it easy to explore the city. The views from the rooms are appealing, offering glimpses of the bustling main street, though some traffic noise can be heard. A highlight of the hotel is the impressive swimming pool, which boasts excellent facilities, making it a must-visit. The rooms are clean and feature soft, comfortable bedding, even if they show a bit of age. Breakfast options are decent, providing a wide range of food, although the menu could benefit from more frequent updates. While WiFi access is limited by China's Great Firewall, preventing some websites from being accessed, the overall experience at Grand Hyatt Beijing is highly enjoyable, making it a great option for visitors to the city.

Second time staying, Hotel location is very near the Tiananmen Square, and its perfect for autumn in Beijing. Rooms are spacious, its a little old, but we are not too fuzzy, breakfast was acceptable but for something that you would go crazy over. Four restaurants are available within the hotel varying from Chinese, seafood hotpot, Japanese and German cuisines. There's a good collection of jade ornaments and art pieces to buy if you have deep pockets. There are many places within the hotel where you could take some awesome photos and also hotel has professional photographers available. We extended our stay for 2 more days and definitely will choose to stay here again. Stayed at the Commune by the Great Wall's Bamboo House with the kids, and it was a pretty good experience! The Bamboo House has a unique and quiet design, making it especially family-friendly. With several rooms, it's also perfect for gatherings with friends and their families. It's only a five-minute drive to the Shuiguan Great Wall, which is a less crowded and more challenging section, almost like having the whole place to yourself. I do hope the activities and dining options within the resort could be a bit more diverse next time. 👍 A big thank you to Olivier and Sunny for their thoughtful and attentive service throughout our stay – they were warm, meticulous, and always ready to help. Stayed for two nights over the weekend with my parents, and the whole family was very satisfied. To be honest, none of us really did much research for the trip. We owe it all to our wonderful butler, Ada. From before check-in, to the check-in process itself, booking hotel restaurants, arranging a birthday surprise, recommending local attractions, and check-out – she provided high-quality information, suggestions, and arrangements every step of the way. She saved us from any detours or wasted time. Ada was truly instrumental in making our family trip so enjoyable these past two days. The breakfast was another highlight. Not because of the whole lamb ribs, beef short ribs, and ham, but because even with a large number of diners and a queue, the overall replenishment of food, clearing of dirty tables, seating, and even the coordination by the management team were all incredibly well-organized. It's clear that the restaurant's management level is on par with any major brand resort hotel. We plan to visit again when the weather gets warmer. The only minor complaints: the room was too cold, and the Chinese restaurant was too hot. 🥵

Having spent considerable time in the vicinity of the International Club, International Building, Japanese Embassy, Associated Press, and Ritan Park, I'm very familiar with this area. The hotel is strategically located just off Chang'an Avenue, at No. 21 Jianguomenwai Avenue, Chaoyang District, Beijing. It's situated in the heart of the CBD, adjacent to Chang'an Avenue and the Embassy District. Jianguomen subway station is a mere 7-minute walk away, and iconic landmarks like Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City are just a few blocks from the hotel. It also offers convenient access to vibrant shopping and entertainment hubs such as Guomao, Wangfujing, and Sanlitun. I myself spent nearly a decade working in the International Building. Upon entering the lobby, its high ceilings and grand, pillarless design create a truly magnificent impression. The suites are thoughtfully laid out and exude an elegant, classic charm. A serene garden with a gentle flowing fountain enhances the overall sophisticated ambiance. Despite opening in 1997, the facilities are comprehensive, and the environment, cleanliness, and service all maintain a first-class standard. The standout feature is the unforgettable butler service; the personalized, one-on-one attention makes you feel right at home. The 24-hour comprehensive butler team provides exceptional service, anticipating and fulfilling every guest's need. Our butlers, Jasmine, Parker, Alex, and Bradley, orchestrated a series of unique experiences, including the St. Regis's classic traditional ritual of champagne sabrage. This spectacular event took place in the gallery of the Danielli Italian Restaurant on the hotel's second floor, where guests collectively raised their glasses, savored exquisite champagne, and celebrated. The sabered champagne cork was then presented as a cherished keepsake. Dylan Zhao and Candie (灿灿) went above and beyond, waiting for our return even after we came back late from a football match at Workers' Stadium. As we opened the door, they were already there, ready to welcome us home with comforting warm honey-lemon water and hot peppermint Earl Grey tea, perfectly prepared for optimal flavor. Their handwritten cards were also a thoughtful touch, now treasured keepsakes. They truly made our St. Regis night wonderful, cozy, and unforgettable. While there's so much more I wish to express, my feelings at this moment are truly beyond words, deeply etched in my heart. This unforgettable St. Regis experience will forever be etched in my memory. I look forward to returning on August 25, 2025. My sincerest thanks once again to The St. Regis Hotel for everything.

Xishan Hot Springs is truly perfect for the whole family, from the elderly to children. The seniors felt comfortable, the kids had a blast, and we felt at ease throughout our entire stay. The environment was clean and warm, and there were many hot spring pools with just the right water temperature. The elderly found it relaxing and rejuvenating, and there wasn't much walking involved, with plenty of rest areas available to sit down whenever tired. Kids have their own dedicated water play area with shallow pools that are safe and fun. There's also a children's playground, slides, and go-karts – enough to keep them entertained all day long. Plus, there's a childcare service so parents can relax for a while, which is a very thoughtful touch. The service was excellent, staff were friendly, and attention to detail was evident, taking great care of both seniors and children. Also, their Four Seasons Restaurant really knows how to cater to foodies! Our overall experience this Chinese New Year was fantastic, and I must commend it. Breakfast didn't have a huge variety; it was more for a quick bite to fill you up, suitable for those who wake up early and just want something light. However, the dinner buffet was truly outstanding. They had everything: seafood, BBQ, hot dishes, cold dishes, desserts, and fruits. You could grab salmon, oysters, roasted lamb leg, grilled durian, and crayfish to your heart's content, with each person limited to half a lobster. The taste was on point, and they refilled dishes quickly. There were so many options we couldn't even try them all – we left feeling incredibly satisfied. The late-night supper was an even bigger surprise! It was perfect for when we were tired from playing all day and got hungry at night. They had steaming hot xiaolongbao and various noodle dishes, all with great flavor and generous portions. Having hot food late at night felt incredibly comforting. Service was also attentive, with quick plate clearing and a clean, comfortable environment. Overall, breakfast was simple, dinner was lavish and enjoyable, and the late-night supper was heartwarming and just right. It's an all-in-one place for dining and entertainment where everyone in the family can find something to enjoy. It's not tiring or troublesome, and the value for money is pretty good. If you're traveling with elderly family members and children, this is the place to choose – hassle-free and comfortable. A highly recommended spot! 😎😎😎

I chose the Li Ting Hotel for my business trip this time, and it was absolutely the right choice! As a star-rated hotel, it truly delivers on luxury and provides an exceptional experience. The location is definitely worth praising; it's incredibly convenient to get anywhere. You can walk to Metro Line 1 and Line 5, making getting around completely effortless. Just 50 meters to the left after exiting the hotel, there's a shopping mall with so many shopping and dining options that it's hard to choose, easily satisfying all your retail and food cravings. The room was an even bigger surprise. It was incredibly spacious and bright, with fantastic natural light. Especially the floor-to-ceiling window, which offered an amazing view – it was incredibly comfortable just lying there and enjoying the scenery. The amenities were also complete, and the pillows and mattress were perfectly comfortable. I slept like a baby, straight through till morning, and it was incredibly rejuvenating. Breakfast also deserves a mention. There was a wide variety of both Chinese and Western dishes, with plenty of options. I was able to eat a satisfying meal every morning. The staff were consistently warm, polite, and attentive, always thinking of the guests' needs. Their service was incredibly thoughtful, and they deserve a huge thumbs-up! I had such a pleasant stay these past few days. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit.

I'd like to express my gratitude to EAST Hotel Beijing for the thoughtful arrangements made upon my arrival, which made my trip enjoyable right from the start. The suite was incredibly spacious, with an elegant and open layout, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a beautiful view of the city. The bedding was comfortable, and the facilities were meticulously maintained; both the bathing experience and the turndown service were incredibly relaxing and reassuring. Furthermore, the hotel's gym and pool left a strong impression on me – they were well-equipped and clean, adding a delightful touch of rejuvenation to my journey. What truly stood out was the professionalism and warmth of the service team – every interaction, from the front desk to housekeeping, was polite and efficient, making me feel perfectly cared for and respected. Overall, my stay was extremely satisfying. Both the hardware and the service truly reflect the hotel's quality and dedication. If I have another business trip to Beijing, this will definitely be my first choice again, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to travelers who value a quality experience.

I originally booked for one night, but due to unfinished business, I extended my stay by four more days, which allowed me to further experience the features of Kempinski. Facilities: Very comprehensive, especially having two gyms! The gym on the 18th floor is relatively 'basic'; the one in the basement has two levels. B-1 has treadmills and light equipment like pull-up bars, while B-2 has a full range of barbells and dumbbells, and surprisingly, even two squash courts. What's even more delightful is that there's an indoor golf practice area where you can simulate playing a full round. The weekday charge is 150 yuan per hour, which includes free club rental (both men's and women's sets are available). I just didn't like the men's Dunlop carbon fiber set, so I didn't play. If you're in Beijing for golf and bring your own clubs, it's definitely worth a try. The swimming pool on the 18th floor is quite short; you reach the end in just a few strokes. However, it's still good for relaxation. Both gyms have saunas and Turkish baths. The breakfast buffet is very rich, with smoked salmon 🍣, plain yogurt, five types of honey, and four or five kinds of cheese – excellent value for money. Also, soft drinks in the Mini-Bar are complimentary... The room has amenities like bathrobes and an umbrella. Hygene: No need to worry; it's impeccable. Environment: Although Yansha Shopping Mall isn't as vibrant as it used to be, it's very convenient to enjoy the various dining options in the Liangma River business district. Service: Very attentive. Two deliveries (express and errand runner services) were brought directly to my room by the concierge.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied. Although there was a notice in the room about hotel maintenance, it didn't actually cause any inconvenience. There were two things I wasn't too happy about. First, the soundproofing in the room wasn't great. Either that, or the kid next door was just incredibly loud. They were shouting in the afternoon, still shouting when I got back to the hotel after 11 PM, and then started again around 8 AM on Sunday – better than an alarm clock! The other thing was that after finishing my meal in the room in the afternoon, I wanted to call for someone to pick up the trays. The call went to an automated customer service. I explained my request, and the AI said it understood. However, no one came to collect them until I was about to leave around 6 PM. Luckily, a staff member came to do the turndown service and took them away for me.

1. Overall comfort was high. The room was spacious and clean, the bedding was soft, and the facilities were well-maintained. The front desk and room service were prompt and friendly, making the check-in process smooth. 2. Excellent location. It's close to the subway station and business district, making transportation convenient, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. 3. Decent value for money. Compared to hotels in the same area, the price is reasonable, making it especially suitable for business travelers or families. One minor point is that the doors are quite heavy, so the sound of doors closing next door can be loud.

I've stayed here twice now, and the room's floor-to-ceiling windows provide excellent light, making it very comfortable. The hotel's location is fantastic, with direct access to the China World Mall, and it's home to Nanmen Hotpot and Ma Liu Ji. The basement connects directly to Metro Lines 1 and 10, which is super convenient. Line 1 goes straight to attractions like Tiananmen Square, Wangfujing, and the Military Museum. Beijing traffic can be bad, so having easy subway access is a huge plus. This time, I also noticed a significant improvement in the hotel's service. We're a family of three, and we pushed the two twin beds together to sleep. When the staff cleaned the room, they thoughtfully put a thick bed sheet over them, so the person in the middle didn't feel the uncomfortable gap between the two beds, and we slept really well. Plus, every day they'd provide extra bottles of mineral water and tissues based on our habits, and when I asked for a band-aid, they proactively offered iodine swabs, which was very thoughtful. 👍

A special thanks to Lucas and Lynne for their thoughtful and detailed service throughout, making the entire process smooth and pleasant. 1: The front desk staff who checked me in, wearing teal eyeshadow, kept a straight face and emphasized three times that I needed to keep the executive lounge schedule and adhere to its times. Excuse me, is this my first time visiting an executive lounge? And second, I'm not blind or deaf, so I would have understood after you said it once. Also, please fix your makeup. 2: After being in the room for a while, I noticed a yellow stain on a pillowcase. I called, and the attendant quickly came to replace it. It's no exaggeration to say she replaced the pillowcase in 2 seconds. This was, without a doubt, the best experience of my stay. 3: As part of the executive benefits, I had a late check-out until 4 PM. However, at 2 PM, my card stopped working. My three-year-old and I were stuck in the elevator, unable to go up, and he got scared. It was then that I realized they might have deactivated my card... We had to go back to the front desk on the ground floor to resolve it. All of this is fine, these are minor issues. 4: They charged me 3500 for check-in and took the deposit quickly. But getting the deposit back was a different story. I've stayed at so many five-star platinum and diamond hotels, and I've always received my deposit before even leaving the hotel entrance. This is the first time I've encountered not receiving it after 12 hours. Customer service told me it would be returned via the original payment method within 48 hours... I've truly never heard of a deposit being delayed like this. 5: The shower in the room was very cold, and at night, it was extremely hot, making it hard to sleep. The breakfast was decent but didn't offer much. Please stop serving that 'cheong fun' (rice noodle roll); it's an embarrassment. Anyone who has ever had 'cheong fun' would know what I'm talking about... The executive lounge had almost nothing to eat; it was far too little, not even half of what you'd find at a Ritz. The orange juice was good. There was one young male server in the executive lounge who was absolutely the best; the other female staff were just props. That's all.

This is the perfect hotel for you to rest up when exploring the city, it’s nothing fancy but then again you get what you pay for, some rooms are quite small with no windows but then again it’s very likely that you won’t be spending much time in a hotel room instead of exploring the city. Now locating the hotel can be a bit difficult but there’s lots of famous clubs around, so you can enter one of the clubs name and ask any guards you might find by the gate and they’ll gladly help you. The Courtyard Two-Bedroom was truly excellent, a peaceful oasis in a bustling area. Our housekeeper, Danika, contacted us back in late September and helped us prepare delicious fruits and Forbidden City-themed desserts. The biggest surprise was the anniversary cake she arranged for us! The room was on the second floor with a fantastic view. Our family of four enjoyed watching TV in the living room – the screen mirroring was very convenient – while sipping tea and snacking on desserts. It felt so cozy and like home! Breakfast could be delivered to the room. Judy, the breakfast staff, was incredibly warm and enthusiastic, helping us take photos and showing great patience 👍. Having breakfast in the courtyard was a unique experience! Many thanks to Danika for her kind service; she responded instantly to messages and was very responsible and dedicated in her work 👍👍! The package included a spa treatment. The overall ambiance was lovely. Vivian was very meticulous, and Angela and Mary gave excellent massages!

Beijing Map

Beijing's layout is commonly described in terms of its "ring roads," which circle the city. Although the First Ring Road (theoretically encircling the Forbidden City) does not exist, the city's ring roads start from the Second Ring Road. The area within the Third Ring Road is often considered the city proper, while the city center specifically refers to the region around Wangfujing Street, the Forbidden City, and Tiananmen Square.

Beijing's city proper is administratively divided into four main districts:

  • Chaoyang District: Extends from the city center to the Olympic sites in the north.
  • Dongcheng District: Lies directly east of the Forbidden City.
  • Xicheng District: Located to the west of the Forbidden City.
  • Haidian District: Positioned in the north, housing many of Beijing's universities.

Beijing experiences a climate with 4 distinct seasons: a short and windy spring, a long and hot summer, a cool and brief autumn, and a long and chilly winter.

Seasonal Weather in Beijing

  • Spring (April - May): Spring in Beijing, from early April to the end of May, is characterized by warm but windy and dry conditions. Daytime temperatures can be comfortable, but nights are often cooler, necessitating lightweight layers such as long-sleeved shirts, T-shirts, and jackets. Sandstorms are a common occurrence, so it's advisable to carry windproof gear when venturing outside.
  • Summer (June - August): Summers in Beijing, from early June to August, are hot with significant rainfall. Temperatures frequently range between 30°C (86°F) and 40°C (104°F), especially in July and August, which are the hottest months. Short, intense rainstorms can occur unexpectedly in the afternoons, so carrying an umbrella or raincoat is recommended. Light clothing is essential to stay comfortable in the summer heat.
  • Autumn (September - October): Autumn is a brief but beautiful season in Beijing, spanning from mid-September to the end of October. The weather is mild with plenty of sunshine, making it one of the best times to visit. Temperatures are comfortable, and light layers like long-sleeved shirts and thin coats are suitable. Late October sees a sharp drop in temperatures, so warmer clothing becomes necessary.
  • Winter (November - March): Winter in Beijing is long, cold, and dry, lasting from early November to mid-March. Average temperatures during December, January, and February often fall below 0°C (32°F), with January being the coldest month. Visitors should dress in wool sweaters and thick down coats to stay warm. Despite the harsh weather, winter sports like skiing and ice skating are popular, and Chinese New Year celebrations offer a unique cultural experience.

While Beijing can be visited year-round, the best times to visit Beijing are typically September and October due to the pleasant autumn weather. May and June also provide comfortable early summer conditions, though it's important to be mindful of the occasional spring sandstorms and the extreme summer temperatures.
