The hotel's location is fantastic, very close to Elephant Trunk Hill and Sun and Moon Pagodas, right on Binjiang Road. They even offer free ethnic costumes, which my child absolutely loved. My child left a jacket in the room, and the hotel contacted us immediately to arrange for it to be sent back – we're so grateful. For travel photography, the free sessions are hard to book, so I'd recommend doing your own makeup and taking pictures with your child.

My mind is filled with images of the ink-wash Li River and Elephant Trunk Hill sipping water. The scenes from my textbooks are unfolding right before my eyes – this experience is truly unforgettable! 🥹 ✅ As soon as I opened the door, I was captivated by the unobstructed mountain views. I could admire the morning mist over Elephant Trunk Hill and the boats on the river right from my bed. At sunset, golden light streamed over the mountains; every frame was like a moving painting. ✅ The 7th-floor 270° viewing terrace is an absolute gem! You get panoramic views of Elephant Trunk Hill, the Li River, and the Two Rivers and Four Lakes. Every photo taken here is an unedited masterpiece. 🥰🥰 The hotel experience was fantastic! The room was spacious and bright, with complete amenities and soft bedding that melted away my travel fatigue. ✔️✔️ The service was thoughtful and attentive. Breakfast included local specialties like Guilin rice noodles and oil tea. Dining with such a view was incredibly pleasant. 📍 The location is absolutely perfect! Situated in the heart of the city on Binjiang Road, it's within walking distance of Elephant Trunk Hill and the Sun and Moon Pagodas. Firstly, on our check-in, we were told we can upgrade to a Riverview room at a cost of around 100 RMB. after we agreed to upgrade and got up to our room. (Please see picture below)that was the river room. Nothing like a river view room that we have ever experienced.   When we called the manager to ask for the river room, we got upgraded to a higher floor( see the picture attached)  again not a river view room that we would ever called it.  Dinner.  We book our dinner in the Chinese restaurant Xianggong (香宫) not to mention their service was extremely slow. We waited for our noodle until the last course to be served like a hour. Please see the picture attach. This is the picture on the menu that  I was expecting please see picture attached that is the noodle that got served to me. a although I understand in some situation, the picture is just for reference, but I think at this case this is extremely misrepresented.  Another dish we orders “ wagyu beef with mushrooms. “ again we questioned this is hardly wagyu beef and please see the picture below. That’s the dish we got served, nothing like the picture again.  It was deeply disappointing experience, and we booked based on the Shangri -La name and our previous experiences.   Although  Shangri Guilin has his beautiful landscape and infrastructure, the service is clearly not a Shanghai standard.

[Delighted][Handshake] We stayed at the Jiangjing Hotel – 'Silver' (Yin) for you, 'Apricot' (Xing) for your luck, 'Season' (Ji) for being with you all the way. It was the annual ginkgo season, and guests staying at the hotel came from all over the country, all just to see that 'village full of golden armor.' The hotel is right by the Li River, surrounded by green mountains and clear waters. Lazily sitting on a chair, you can fully enjoy the 'ink wash painting' scenery of the Li River (the best view is from the 7th-floor rooftop). A big thank you to front desk staff members 12, 27, 21, and 48 who checked us in. It's only a few hundred meters from Elephant Trunk Hill and Sun and Moon Twin Pagodas, so it's easily walkable. Plus, there are tons of restaurants right downstairs, making it super convenient for food and drinks. The tea ceremony on the rooftop terrace had a fantastic vibe. The staff was cordial and give us all details so we planned and could cover 3 places by ourself . Again the dinner they prepare was excellent . After my regular stay at the brand name hotels , trying the boutique hotels was very nice experience . If 100 points is a perfect score for a hotel experience, I wouldn't hesitate to give 'Poetry & Faraway · Xiangshan Youyue Hotel' 200 points! This stay went far beyond 'exceeding expectations' – it was simply perfect. The facilities are impeccable: The room was spacious and bright, with stylish and tasteful decor. The biggest surprise was the super-sized bathtub; bath time became the most enjoyable part of my day. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and they even thoughtfully provided both soft and firm pillows to cater to different sleeping preferences – attention to detail at its finest! The restaurant is on the 9th floor, with a stunning outdoor pool just outside. Enjoying breakfast while admiring the beautiful view was pure bliss. Smart and convenient: The room was equipped with a smart 'Xiaodu' speaker, making voice control incredibly convenient. Food deliveries were brought directly to our door by an adorable robot, which was both efficient and fun. There's also a self-service laundry room near the rooms, which is a lifesaver for long-term travelers. But the service is truly the trump card: From the moment we checked in and added the butler on WeChat, we felt incredibly well taken care of. Any request we had was met with an immediate response and solution from the butler. What touched me most was an incident during breakfast today: an elderly person accidentally knocked over their tray, spilling food everywhere. The staff present didn't show any hesitation or displeasure; they rushed over immediately to comfort the startled elder, repeatedly asking if they were hurt, and swiftly and quietly cleaned up the mess. The entire process was filled with genuine concern. This kind of heartfelt kindness and professionalism is more precious than any luxurious facility. It was raining when we checked out, and the front desk staff proactively offered us disposable raincoats. This constant thoughtfulness made our whole family feel incredibly warm. Even our child was clamoring, ”I don't want to go to the next stop, I just want to keep staying here!” This wasn't just a stay; it was an experience filled with warm memories. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, heartfelt accommodation!

The front desk staff, seeing I was traveling with older family members, even upgraded us to a scenic view room. This hotel is an old five-star hotel, high-end and classy, magnificent and magnificent, the lobby is very grand and luxurious. The receptionist at the front desk is patient, attentive and warm, and the gift shop next to it has a wide variety of goods, including Guilin specialties. The travel agency arranged a good itinerary to Yangshuo, and it was not tiring to spend a day there, and it was very cheap. The breakfast was rich and complete and delicious. There are many delicious foods in the nearby food street, and there are all kinds of stores, which is convenient for travel. Not to mention the room, it is quiet and spacious, and the sleep is excellent! Highly recommended!

A very satisfying experience. The hotel is in a moderate location, not far from any tourist attractions, and it is convenient to eat and shop nearby. The facilities are very warm and considerate, and the service is warm and thoughtful. The location of this beautiful hotel is very good and convenient, the hotel room size is also very suitable, all the hotel staff are very warm and courteous, there is a problem to deal with immediately, the hotel is set up. The hotel price is very suitable. Hotel location is convenient. Give full marks to all the performance of the hotel, praise, praise, praise. However, the breakfast soup powder location has children's parents to pay attention to, the place to put the soup is very dangerous, has been feedback to the waiter, but he said it is very safe, but I have opposed his statement, see that he will not improve, everyone should pay attention.

The hotel has a great location, the rooms have a wide view, and the front desk service is very patient. If you are traveling with a group of people, you can consider booking a suite. The space is large enough and there are partitions, which is convenient for a family to live in. It is recommended that the boss consider launching a parent-child room to capture the parent-child customer group.
