Very service oriented front desk personnel. Kudos to their service to make our check in a smooth one as we encounter some issue with our online booking at first. The front desk lady is super patient with customer and even upgraded our room to a bigger size room just to put our children with us next door. The cleaner 赵付明 310号also friendly and attend to our service promptly and return my thick clothing when I have accidentally left it behind upon check out. Wish I have taken down the front desk lady name and really appreciate her time spent with our booking and checking. We like the Li Jiang hotel water fall scheduled at 830pm and also the rooftop view that oversee the 日月双塔。Some cultural craftwork was also offered for my children at level 2. Overall my experience at Li Jiang is very positive and if we visit Guilin will surely go back to Li Jiang.

This is an older five-star hotel in downtown Guilin, and the service is absolutely top-notch. They upgraded my room for free and even gave me a complimentary breakfast buffet. The decor definitely shows its age, but it's very well-maintained, so it doesn't feel dated at all. In fact, the cream and gold color scheme gives it a classic, elegant 'old money' vibe. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety of choices. I have two suggestions, though: First, the toilet seat isn't heated, and sitting on it in winter is a shocking, freezing experience. Second, the air conditioning hardly provides any heating.

The hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable! It's right opposite Elephant Trunk Hill. From the 7th floor, you get an amazing view of Elephant Trunk Hill and the Li River – perfect for photos. Our concierge, Piaopiao, was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful. She gave me great recommendations for local food. I had booked a double room for my parents and me, and she even gave us an extra breakfast. The beer fish at the 7th-floor restaurant was the best I've ever had! The housekeeping staff on our floor were also wonderful; they always greeted us, asking things like, ”Going out?” or ”Back already?” Simple words that made us feel so welcome. Even though Guilin was a bit chilly during our visit, the dedicated and lovely people we met made us feel really warm inside!

Traveling to Guilin with two elders over 80, I made sure to book a luxurious, grand international-star hotel with top-notch service! The hotel was bustling during Christmas, with a beautiful Christmas tree, creating a wonderful atmosphere! The room was very spacious, and the view facing the garden was bright and airy! The bedding and air conditioning were very comfortable. The buffet breakfast definitely offered the most choices and was excellent; the Guilin rice noodles here were delicious, we had them both days 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. The food at the hotel's Shang Palace restaurant was also fantastic, definitely worth the price for both nights.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! Right at the doorstep, you'll find Elephant Trunk Hill Park and the Two Rivers and Four Lakes cruise terminal. Although it looks like it's been open for a while, the lobby and rooms seem quite new and well-maintained. They're spacious, bright, clean, and hygienic. As soon as you step out, the scenery is beautiful. There's a Luckin Coffee on the first floor, and it's right next to Entrance No. 1 of Elephant Trunk Hill. The hotel also has a travel department where you can get discounted tickets, and they even enthusiastically escort you to the Li River tour group pick-up point, which isn't far, just across a bridge. The overall service at the hotel is excellent; they've given us a lot of help. Coming during the off-season, the value for money is superb! All the good food and fun activities are nearby, and parking is convenient too. Highly recommended by a friend! [Strong]

The hotel environment is great, quiet in a bustling city, with Rong Lake downstairs. It is so pleasant to take a walk by the lake every morning and evening. The hotel service is also great. Huang Xiuqin, the room service, knows that we like to drink tea, so she prepares enough mineral water every day. This hotel really sets the benchmark for service. Every little detail is impressive, from the snacks upon arrival, the small gifts, and the on-demand service, to the farewell gift at check-out – everything felt so warm and thoughtful. As someone who travels frequently for work, this is the only place where I truly feel a human touch. I even booked this same hotel when I went to Yangshuo, but I still think the service in Guilin is superior. When I returned, I stayed here again, and they even upgraded us to a 'Little Duck' themed room, which my child absolutely loved! I don't think any other hotel will ever impress my child as much as this one. The location of the hotel is just by the River and easy to take nice pictures right from the hotel or in front of the hotel. Upon our arrival, the doorman immediately grabbed our bags and welcomed us. Although we told him that our bags are heavy and offered to take some of the luggage by ourselves, he insisted to help us and helped to carry everything inside. The reception staff did the check in quickly and also informed us of their hotel facilities and services. They told us that we have a complimentary professional photography session to have our photos taken. They also introduced the local tourist attractions and we took the river boat trip that evening, which was very pleasant and nice way to see Guilin during the evening. The following day we went for the photo taking sessions and we got some beautiful memorable pictures taken. Our room was very beautiful and large and we wish we would have had more time to stay. We even had a separate room for drinking tea which was so cozy. The breakfast restaurant is located on the top floor of the hotel so the guests can have a nice view of the surroundings. Upon our departure the reception staff asked how our stay had been and bid us farewell and they had prepared some very cute gifts for us. I highly recommend this hotel for anybody who would like to visit Guilin leisure. Perfect location, perfect service and facilities!

Sunac Resort Guilin/University Town Guilin|25.5km from city center
This might be a long review, but since my experience at Club Med Guilin was so exceptional, I wanted to share it with anyone who might find it helpful. This place is perfect for families traveling with children. If you're like me, traveling with a girlfriend, each with your own kids, then congratulations – you're in for an even better vacation! First off, childcare is available at the Mini Club. You can drop off your children at 8:30 AM and pick them up at 5:00 PM. During this time, they'll be immersed in an English-speaking environment, with teachers leading them in sports, games, feeding ducks, and more. This frees up the adults to enjoy their own vacation time, whether it's participating in the many activities, relaxing in the tranquil gardens, or indulging in unlimited drinks at the bar. For moms who are constantly with their kids, this is a true godsend – finally, a trip where you can genuinely feel like yourself again! Even if you just want to relax, there are so many engaging activities that you'll be tempted to join in. For instance, before lunch, Debra will be waiting for you at the bar, with lively music that will make you want to jump up and dance! Throughout the day, there are cycling, rock climbing, hiking, archery, yoga, golf, various ball sports like badminton, and even親子烹饪 (parent-child cooking) – a rich variety of options. Even if your child prefers not to be in childcare, there are still plenty of activities for them to participate in. One of the highlights is the flying trapeze. The four coaches, whose names I can't recall, were all incredibly dedicated, humorous, and patient, encouraging both adults and children to try it out. My daughter absolutely loved it and even tried flying upside down – she felt so accomplished! The rock climbing coach was also excellent, very professional and patient, and she took some great photos too. Regarding the accommodation, I had some initial concerns because I'd heard the resort opened a while ago. However, upon arrival, I realized that the meticulous cleaning and maintenance by the housekeeping staff made all the difference – it was very clean and comfortable! There are electric carts within the resort to take guests to various locations; you just call for one, and they respond quickly. As for the dining, you can really feel the chef's dedication. Even after three consecutive days, you'll notice variations in each meal, no repeats! I must specifically mention the mulled wine on Christmas Eve – it was so delicious, I couldn't get enough. In the evening, there were also festive specialties like ham and turkey. The restaurant also offers characteristic dishes from various countries and regions, perfect for trying something new. The Mongolian restaurant on the third floor has excellent beef and lamb; the lamb rolls with sesame paste tasted like authentic Inner Mongolian lamb. Finally, I want to express my gratitude to the people I met here. They were around almost every moment, greeting you with big smiles. It felt like I'd known everyone for a long time even after just half a day. There's the Village Chief Ali, the always-organized Circle, the handsome Mini Club manager Gary Victor (the kids absolutely adored him!), and Carol and Debra, who were always energetic and got everyone dancing. The flying trapeze coaches, the rock climbing coach, the archery coach, the cycling coach, the lovely men and women who served drinks at the bar every day, and the beautiful lady at the front desk who helped me put on my wristband every morning – I can't recall all their names, but I'll remember their smiles. Oh, and Jeff, the Banana Brother from the Mini Club. On Christmas Eve, we danced until very late, and he specifically walked us out of the restaurant and pointed us in the direction of the easier way out. And of course, Asteria, the first G.O. we met on this trip, who was constantly there from check-in to check-out, providing a sense of peace. Lastly, the one thing you absolutely shouldn't miss at Club Med Guilin is the 8:15 PM show. It's professional, lively, hilarious, full of atmosphere, and most importantly, different every single night! Plus, on Christmas Eve, there were gifts, and before check-out, the children received certificates from the Mini Club. On Christmas morning, Santa Claus personally handed out presents, and they were substantial gifts too! The more I talk, the more I worry I've left something out. It was just such a wonderfully beautiful vacation, a wonderfully beautiful journey, and a wonderfully beautiful hotel. I hope to share it with more people, and I plan to go back next year (to make up for not seeing the fireworks on Christmas Eve this year due to rain)!

👏 **Location:** The hotel is surrounded by plenty of eateries, making it incredibly convenient to get around. Plus, there are electric scooters right downstairs, ready for use whenever you need them. 👏 **Cleanliness:** The cleanliness was quite good overall. As someone who's a bit of a neat freak, I did tidy away some decorative items and gave surfaces an extra wipe, but I was still impressed. 👏 **Facilities:** The facilities were decent and functional. There were no old or persistent stains, which was a big plus. And they even had automated curtains – pretty cool! 👏 **Service:** This truly deserves a special shout-out! The front desk staff immediately upgraded our room to a suite upon our arrival. Wow, that was incredibly delightful! Our child loved it so much they didn't want to leave, and we'd definitely come back if we get the chance. Excellent service!

The hotel was great! They upgraded our room for free, and it was well-equipped with good decor and a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The lobby's self-service tea and snack bar offered a wide variety, including freshly ground coffee without sugar. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the No. 1 entrance of Elephant Trunk Hill, just a ten-minute walk. They also provided travel guides, which was helpful for getting around. Free parking is available right in front of the hotel. Plus, they have a children's slide and treadmills, among other amenities.
