Our stay at Meriton Suites Kent Street was fantastic! The location is right in the heart of the city — walking distance to Darling Harbour, Town Hall Station, and plenty of shops and restaurants. The suite was spacious, modern, and spotless, with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities that made our trip so much more convenient. The bed was very comfortable, and we loved having a separate living area to relax in after a long day exploring Sydney. The staff were friendly and helpful, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Having an indoor pool, spa, and gym on-site was a great bonus too. Highly recommend Meriton Suites Kent Street for anyone looking for comfort, space, and excellent value in a central Sydney location.

This is a beautiful hotel set right in the heart of downtown Sydney. We loved our stay here. The staff were very attentive to anything we needed and happy to help. The room was clean and very beatifully appointed with luxurious features. The buffet breakfast was amazing with delicious cold and hot food and fresh fruit and pastries and great coffee. We loved the heritage feeling of this hotel and how central it was to many of Sydney's landmarks and must see places! We highly recommend The Fullerton Hotel Sydney and would love to come back again.

We spent 2 nights at the Paradox and had a great trip. Everything was clean, tidy and staff were friendly. Only down side was that we received limited and some mixed information about the amenities. A more thorough check in conversation would have been useful.

The location is fantastic, located by the Darling Harbour, you can reach the Aquarium and Darling Harbour within 3-5 minutes. You can also access Sydney CBD (QVB etc.) easily. For the staff, they are super friendly and helpful. Despite I didn't request a daily room cleaning service, they tidied my room every day. If you don't want to have such service, you can definitely require not to too. The view of my room is amazing, you can enjoy the view of Darling Harbour. And one more thing which I found quite important is that the room has a perfect soundproof. Since it's winter in August, it's quite cold in Sydney. The lobby has very warm temperature and cozy vibe. However, the room's air conditioning didn't provide a warm temperature that I satisfied, the room temperature remains between 18-20 °C during our stay, it would be perfect if it's like 23-25 °C. And this was the only down side I can think of, other than that, I had a perfect stay!

I stayed here previously and had a much nicer room. I’m not sure how to book to get that room but I didn’t get it this time. This time it was a bit tired and there was a smell in the bathroom. I will stay here again but I will be careful to choose the other room type.

Booked three rooms in total: 2 rooms with a queen size bed and 1 room with two single beds. The cleanliness of the rooms with queen size bed were not the best– lots of drain flies in one of the bathroom and not the cleanest; view was nice (on the 18th and 23th floor). On the other hand, the cleanliness of the room with two single beds was great and room looked newer for some reason; no view + gloomy at 5th floor. Other than that, all 3 rooms were very spacious and well-equipped (except that there isn't any hand wash and we had to purchase from convenience store). Location was great– walking distance to almost all the tourist attractions. Front desk was friendly and helpful as well. Overnight parking was a tad pricey.

Our living experience in the Hotel was great. The upgrading service in pent house provided a great view of the surrounding areas with a part of Darling Harbour. The house is so big which let us have a very good rest. The facilities in house are sufficient. The room attendant was very helpful and pleasant. Almost everythings are brilliant, just two things need to improve. One is the drainage and the water supply is not stable in the bathroom. Second thing need to pay attention to is the bathroom door in the bedroom should be changed to the material that can block the sunlight to let the guests sleeping deeper.

Pros: - My flight arrived early, and the front desk was very considerate and let me check in early. - The room was large, with a kitchen and washer-dryer. - The location was great, with a nice view, just a stone's throw from Circular Quay and the Opera House. Cons: - The air conditioner in the room was broken, making it a bit chilly at night. Two repairs failed to fix it, so I didn't want to bother with it and asked them to come back the next day. I even left a note, but it still wasn't fixed. It rained a lot in Sydney during my stay, so the mornings were still quite cold. - The bathroom sink drain was clogged and water was stagnant. - The washing machine drain had a slightly foul smell. - Breakfast was a la carte, not buffet style.

The hotel boasts a prime downtown location, directly opposite Hyde Park, with St. Mary's Cathedral just a short walk through the park. Sydney Tower, offering panoramic views from its revolving restaurant, is also conveniently across a side street. This makes it an ideal spot for city walks, as most major attractions and Chinatown are within easy walking distance. Public buses offer direct access to the University of Sydney, and a subway station is right across the road. Plus, there are abundant dining options nearby. The front desk service was rather subpar. In the morning, I was confirmed and signed for a room on the 18th floor, only to be moved to the 14th floor when I officially checked in that afternoon. When I inquired why I was assigned a lower floor, I was told it was an 'upgrade' because my Ctrip booking was supposedly for a room below the 7th floor – a detail I couldn't find anywhere in my booking confirmation. The most annoying part was that I had specifically requested a room away from the elevators when booking, yet I was given one right next to them. As we had booked two adjoining rooms, a change wasn't feasible. Fortunately, the room was surprisingly quiet despite its proximity to the elevator. To make matters worse, essential items were missing from the room daily, requiring me to call for them, which then took 10-15 minutes to be delivered. On a rainy day, when I finally went out around 4 PM, I did notice a young cleaning staff member who was remarkably efficient, polite, and quick at her tasks. The hotel breakfast was quite good (though certainly not on par with top-tier 5-star hotels in China). The prawn noodles were a particular favorite, but disappointingly, they were unavailable on our last day. For the first three days, the waitstaff didn't offer us coffee or tea after seating us. On the fourth day, we were finally asked, but the coffee we ordered never arrived, even by the time we finished our meal. Over the subsequent days, I observed that most other guests seemed to have coffee, but I didn't inquire about the discrepancy and won't speculate. On a positive note, the restaurant staff were generally polite. Regarding other facilities, they were quite standard, meeting typical 5-star hotel expectations but falling short of a luxury 5-star experience.

My family of 3 checked in early around noon. We stayed at a lovely 1 bedroom apartment on e 2nd level with a balcony which overlooks e street below. Apartment was spacious, amenities provided were sufficient though one could request for more when necessary. What we loved best was e location which was so convenient for us to check out different places of Sydney. We ended up walking to our destinations most of e time while enjoying e weather and scenery. There was ample food choices all around e hotel too. Apart from a busier and noisier street during e weekend, which usually dies down by midnight, my family and I had a great stay in Rydges.

The location is excellent as its across the street from World Square. The rooms are small and compact. The doors are heavy and slam, very annoying at night as the walls are pretty thin. You can hear your guests in the room next door talking. The bathroom door couldn't be closed properly and the shower door, so water leaked onto the floor after showering. They also had some strange signage about leaving the doors open when you shower to avoid a $1600 fine for setting off the fire alarm- due to steam/heat from the shower. It was written in such a way that did not make sense at all. Aside from the great location, it was just far too noisy of a place to stay.

Stayed at the Ibis Sydney Darling Harbour for 7 nights. While the location is excellent — just a short walk to Darling Harbour and the ICC Convention Centre — the overall experience was underwhelming. Check-in wasn’t a great start, as the front desk staff member who assisted me was quite grumpy and unwelcoming. Breakfast was the same every morning with a very limited selection, which got boring quickly. The room was clean but had several issues: the shower was hard to adjust, constantly swinging between too hot or too cold, and the walls were thin, so I could clearly hear noise from the neighbouring rooms. The convenient location is definitely a plus, but overall the stay did not feel like good value for money.

Hotel front desk staffs were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed talking to them. Hotel room is just perfect for a Solo traveller in terms of room size, facilities, lighting, etc. I love the room interior. It looks bright and motivating. Lighting is bright which I always prefer and I have the option to switch off some lights if I want it a bit darker before sleeping. Toilet looks compact but there is certainly enough space to take shower and do other stuff. There is a sofa which makes the room look more classy. The bed, pillow and sofa are very comfortable. I was able to adjust the Aircon and keep myself warm and comfortable. In room dining service was excellent. I ordered a vegetarian dish and it was tasty. We stayed altogether three nights here. The hotel was converted from a historical building dated back to 1890s . We enjoyed the stay-included breakfast at Alluvial restaurant. It got charming vibe. the King Classic room we stayed is spacious consider it is in zone 1 of Melbourne. The hotel is in walking distance to many of the Melbourne city attractions we are even able to take some rest in the room in our planned city walking trip in the middle of a very hot summer sunny day. The bathroom provides Byredo toiletries which we like. However, the decor is a bit dated and need refreshing and we are not happy with the service level of the staff. For example, the phone handfree function is not working properly; the safe is according to the hotel ”in the process of replacement” and not working either; the call to ”Instant Service” for help often took more than 5-seconds ring especially during the night time. There is even a false fire alert during one of the morning time of our stay. I doubt it is a standard of Intercontinental hotel or a 5-star rated hotel. For whom consider staying at this room type of this hotel, please note the windows is fixed and facing the hallway so the room has 1. no natural sunlight 2. no fresh air and 3. needs closing the curtains all the time if you prefer privacy. Another point worth noting is the bathroom floor is very slippery after bath, I would call it a death trap if you wear the one-off slippers that is provided in the room as you can easily get a slip and fall on the bathroom floor even for a grown adult.
