For my Sydney trip, I chose the Meriton Suites Kent Street, and overall, it was a great experience, especially for families. The hotel's location is super convenient, very close to Chinatown, with an abundance of dining options nearby. Whether you're craving Chinese food or local delicacies, you'll easily find something. The pho downstairs was delicious, making dining both easy and tasty. The suites are designed like apartments, fully equipped with everything you need for daily living, and the rooms are clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. Communication at the front desk was entirely in English. Overall, the hotel offers high practicality and convenience, perfect for family travelers who prioritize location and comfort. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Sydney if the need arises.

The room was upgraded the next day, and the front desk staff had a great service attitude and even gave gifts to the children! Whenever we called for something, it was delivered quickly! The in-room dining service was excellent and not expensive! Breakfast was richer than expected, and the surrounding facilities were complete! The only minor regret was that the weather was too cold this time, so I didn't dare to go to the outdoor pool. I'll definitely come back next time!

We had a fantastic stay at Paradox Hotel Sydney. The location is excellent — super central and very easy to get to, whether you’re coming in by car or public transport. It’s right near plenty of great bars and restaurants, so there’s always something happening nearby and lots of options within walking distance. The room was very clean and a great size, with plenty of space to relax. Everything felt well maintained and comfortable. The hotel staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. We also made the most of the amenities — the pool and spa were a highlight and a great way to unwind after being out in the city. Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend Paradox Hotel Sydney to others looking for a central and comfortable place to stay.

We loved our stay at Hyatt Regency. The location is very convenient and walkable, especially when traveling with kids. We were able to easily walk to Barangaroo, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, and WILD LIFE Zoo, which made our trip very relaxed and enjoyable. The room is on the smaller side but comfortable, clean, and felt very safe and secure for our family. It’s also close to shopping areas and nearby parks, which our kids really enjoyed. Our only small concern is that the breakfast selection was almost the same each day, but the food quality was good overall.

Excellent location right in the city. The staff were fantastic. When I left behind a very expensive tea pot they did not hesitate to store it for it me, when I decided to have it posted to my address, they organized everything! It arrived safely and was pacakged professionally in a way that meant it was never going to be broken.

Booked three rooms in total: 2 rooms with a queen size bed and 1 room with two single beds. The cleanliness of the rooms with queen size bed were not the best– lots of drain flies in one of the bathroom and not the cleanest; view was nice (on the 18th and 23th floor). On the other hand, the cleanliness of the room with two single beds was great and room looked newer for some reason; no view + gloomy at 5th floor. Other than that, all 3 rooms were very spacious and well-equipped (except that there isn't any hand wash and we had to purchase from convenience store). Location was great– walking distance to almost all the tourist attractions. Front desk was friendly and helpful as well. Overnight parking was a tad pricey.

The room was quite spacious; we stayed for nine nights and never felt cramped. There was plenty of counter space for our belongings. The location is superb, directly across from Coles, and there's a convenience store on the next street. It's very convenient to walk to QVB, Westfield, Myer, and Mecca. Hyde Park and Circular Quay are a bit further, so you can take public transport, but we found the 20-minute walk perfectly acceptable, as we enjoyed taking photos and browsing along the way.

The hotel's location is quite convenient, right next to the MRT station. The service is also very good, and it's quiet. The hygiene is decent too. The only downside is that the shower head has very weak water pressure, which makes showering a bit of a struggle. Otherwise, everything else is good.

The hotel is quite old, but its location is excellent. Hyde Park is just across the road, and the other side is very close to the shopping street. Service: Some staff in the lounge were incredibly warm and fun, while a few others had a very mediocre attitude. The front desk staff were great, but they did miscalculate the hotel charges. After pointing it out, they said a manager was needed to fix it. It's also kid-friendly, by the way. Location: Super convenient for visiting Hyde Park or going shopping. Facilities: It's old, but well-maintained. Most hotels in Sydney are quite old compared to those in China. It's lovely to sit on the lounge's outdoor balcony and enjoy the breeze in the evening (if it's not too crowded). Recommendation? I probably wouldn't specifically seek it out, but if I'm going to Hyde Park or shopping nearby and the price is right, I might stay again. If it's just for eating and drinking in Sydney, I'd probably choose somewhere else with better value for money and more suitable for my family.

This hotel's location isn't as good as the Meriton serviced apartment I stayed in before. Although it's close to Darling Harbour, the surrounding area isn't as lively anymore. The room was ready by 2 PM. We left our luggage at the hotel, and when we returned, it had been delivered to our room. The service was excellent, and everyone from the front desk to the bell staff on the first floor was very nice. The building isn't very large. Our room faced the freeway, but it wasn't noisy; the soundproofing was excellent. The room decor is quite minimalist, and the room itself is quite spacious – not at all cramped for two people. It had two queen-sized beds, and the bedding, sheets, and comforters were all very comfortable and clean. There was a coffee machine and a small refrigerator, and the room lighting was quite bright. The bathroom was also a good size and had a bathtub with good water pressure. However, the sink drained slowly, and the shower water sprayed out in all directions, making showering a bit difficult. I eventually just gave up on washing my hair. We got a discount on breakfast when we checked in; it was A$30 per person. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but it was perfectly adequate, and we enjoyed it, especially the variety of gluten-free bread and cakes, which I was particularly happy about. Despite these points, all the staff in the lobby were particularly friendly and enthusiastic, especially the concierge team. They were humorous and entertaining, making conversations with them very pleasant. My expectations for Parkroyal were quite high, but I was a little disappointed. Overall, I'd say it's a bit below a four-star rating.

Facilities: The air conditioning only has an on/off setting, no fan speed adjustment. If you turn on the AC, you have to put up with a very loud noise, and even when it's off, you can still hear the exhaust fan. Service: When checking in, the front desk staff took my credit card. The POS machine was right there on the desk, so if they needed to verify my card was a Visa, I could have easily shown it to them myself. Instead, they took my card out of my sight, which was very unsettling. Even though they later let me check in early before the official check-in time, it had already soured my mood. The location is very convenient, and the decor is quite new.

The only bonus was the staff in some regards, night Concierge 10+ The rest minimal to subpar. The restaurant served our food separately our steaks took an hour and that's right... Because I drove my own car out of valet, they expected me to pay further cost. Don't be surprised, the carpark is actually apart of the corporate structure but it's separated from the main entity, assuming the reason is a tax benefit or a way to expound cost associated off-loading. Too be honest, even being from Melbourne it actually feels like everyone just wants another $50 for nothing.. Subpar service.. Subpar customer service.. Subpar kind of luxury, it would seem as if the place has forgotten completely about what it was born of.. Hospitality. Give it a miss.

The room was decent, and the bed was incredibly soft, a real 'white-people bed' as they say, with excellent blackout curtains perfect for sleeping. We booked a one-bedroom suite, and the staff thoughtfully added an extra bed for us. The only downside was the somewhat chaotic front desk management. When we checked in, they told us the suite we booked was unavailable, claiming it was double-booked and offering us a standard room instead. It was the first time I'd heard of being downgraded because a room wasn't available! 😂 After I showed them our confirmation, they fiddled around a bit and eventually 'found' a suite for us. However, our booking included breakfast, and after the room change, we couldn't access the breakfast area the next day. We had to go back to the front desk to explain the situation again, and they finally gave us a card. On the second morning of our stay, we again couldn't get breakfast and spent another half an hour sorting it out. It was quite a hassle, making me feel like the money spent wasn't really worth it. Throughout the whole process, there was no mention of compensation; they just fixed the immediate problem. In previous hotels, when there was an issue, they usually provided a better experience after resolving it. As for the restaurant teacups, honestly, they weren't clean; many had coffee stains.

The rooms were spacious, well-equipped, clean, and tidy, with attentive service. My husband and I met our son, daughter-in-law, and grandson in Melbourne for a few days of sightseeing. We booked two deluxe king rooms, and the front desk staff warmly accommodated us by placing both rooms on the same floor, which was very convenient for us. The hotel's breakfast was high quality and plentiful, though perhaps slightly less extensive than some five-star hotels. The service staff were very attentive. The restaurant is on the top floor and offers expansive views. The hotel's pool water temperature was just perfect, which was a pleasant surprise! The hotel's location offers excellent transportation links; it's just a few minutes' walk to the free city circle tram stop, which can take you to many attractions.

It's quite a long walk from Southern Cross Station, and some of the paths are narrow, making it difficult to pull luggage. The front desk is on the second floor, and self-check-in is available. Since I arrived early and wanted to check in sooner, I paid an extra $25 per night to upgrade to a queen room with a desk. The deposit was $100. We stayed altogether three nights here. The hotel was converted from a historical building dated back to 1890s . We enjoyed the stay-included breakfast at Alluvial restaurant. It got charming vibe. the King Classic room we stayed is spacious consider it is in zone 1 of Melbourne. The hotel is in walking distance to many of the Melbourne city attractions we are even able to take some rest in the room in our planned city walking trip in the middle of a very hot summer sunny day. The bathroom provides Byredo toiletries which we like. However, the decor is a bit dated and need refreshing and we are not happy with the service level of the staff. For example, the phone handfree function is not working properly; the safe is according to the hotel ”in the process of replacement” and not working either; the call to ”Instant Service” for help often took more than 5-seconds ring especially during the night time. There is even a false fire alert during one of the morning time of our stay. I doubt it is a standard of Intercontinental hotel or a 5-star rated hotel. For whom consider staying at this room type of this hotel, please note the windows is fixed and facing the hallway so the room has 1. no natural sunlight 2. no fresh air and 3. needs closing the curtains all the time if you prefer privacy. Another point worth noting is the bathroom floor is very slippery after bath, I would call it a death trap if you wear the one-off slippers that is provided in the room as you can easily get a slip and fall on the bathroom floor even for a grown adult.
