How much does it cost for flights when traveling to the Philippines?

When planning a trip to the Philippines, one of the most important factors to consider is the cost of flights. The cost of flights to the Philippines can vary depending on various factors such as the departure location, time of year, airline, and availability.

If you are departing from major cities in the United States such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York, you can expect to pay anywhere from $500 to $1,000 for a round-trip economy class ticket to the Philippines. However, prices can fluctuate depending on the time of year you plan to travel, with peak travel seasons such as Christmas and summer months typically being more expensive.

How much does it cost for hotels when traveling to the Philippines

When planning a trip to the Philippines, one of the most important things to consider is the cost of accommodation. The cost of hotels in the Philippines varies depending on several factors, such as the location, season, and the type of accommodation the travelers are looking for.

  • Generally, hotels in major cities like Manila, Cebu, and Davao tend to be more expensive than hotels in smaller cities or rural areas. For example, a mid-range hotel room in Manila can cost anywhere from 2,000 to 5,000 PHP (40 to 100 USD) per night, while a luxury hotel room can cost upwards of 10,000 PHP (200 USD) per night.
  • In other cities and smaller towns in the Philippines, the hotel price range is generally lower. For instance, a mid-range hotel room in Cebu can cost around 1,500 to 3,000 PHP (30 to 60 USD) per night, while a luxury hotel room can cost around 7,000 to 8,000 PHP (140 to 160 USD) per night.

Hotel prices can fluctuate depending on the time of year and availability. During peak season, which is usually from December to February, hotel prices tend to be higher. On the other hand, hotel prices may be lower during the off-season, which is from June to September.

If you're looking for budget-friendly accommodation, there are also plenty of hostels and guesthouses in the Philippines that offer affordable rates. These types of accommodations can cost as low as 500 PHP (10 USD) per night.

Our experience at the new coast hotel: The staff was super friendly and helpful The room was clean. House keeping provided the supplies on time. The breakfest was good with a range of foods to select And it is near the bay area, which has the ocean park Check in and out was quick Dislikes The construction woke me up and didn't let me sleep The view from my room was a construction site picture attached Every time we entered, we were searched and walked through a scanner I hope this review helps. All in all, we have a pleasant stay at the hotel. I hope the renovation are over soon.

My family and I had a truly memorable stay at The Manila Hotel from October 17–19, 2025. We stayed in a Club Room with access to the Executive Lounge, which also came with upgraded amenities that made our experience even more comfortable and special. Everything from check-in to check-out was exceptional. The staff’s warmth, professionalism, and sincere care stood out the most. Special thanks to Mr. Patrick, Ms. Roxette, Mr. Jared, Ms. Lycel, Ms. Hershey, Ms. Ann, and Ms. Chesca from the Executive Lounge for their attentiveness and gracious service. Their kindness added a lovely touch to our stay. The Housekeeping Team was also excellent, respectful, efficient, and very thorough. Every staff member we met embodied the genuine Filipino hospitality The Manila Hotel is known for. The experience was seamless, heartfelt, and truly world-class. Maraming salamat, The Manila Hotel! I look forward to returning soon.

Exciting elevator ride because of the glass walls, we can see the city and Manila Bay. Very clean room and bathroom. I like the magnifying mirror the most. First time to experience buffet breakfast with waiting time to be seated and food trays going empty before they could be refilled — in short too many guests! Food was okay, although few choices for Filipino cuisine.

The electric kettle in my room is defective and it burn almost causing fire. My room was filled with smoke but smoke did not trigger the alarm. I'm making this review for awareness and hope it will help to save life. The hotel is a bit old and has safety issues already. The staff went to my room and saw the room was filled with smoke. I just hope they prioritize my safety by offering to evacuate me but they just replace the burned electric kettle. It's not worth it. Don't risk your life. This hotel is a disaster waiting to happen. I believe they are not compliant with fire prevention laws. It may be cheaper but it comes with a safety risk. I don't recommend this hotel.

People working at the hotel are polite. There is no swimming pool only Gym where when we visit is closed though says open 6am.

I recently stayed at Hotel H2O, and it was such a unique and memorable experience! Our room featured a beautiful, large aquarium wall that created a relaxing and mesmerizing atmosphere throughout our stay. The space was clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable, making it easy to unwind after a long day. The service was also excellent. The bell boy was very accommodating, helping us with our luggage and making sure we had everything we needed upon arrival. The receptionist was equally friendly and efficient, making the check-in process smooth and welcoming. Overall, Hotel H2O offered great service, a unique room experience, and a clean, comfortable environment. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay!

This was my third stay at The Bayview, and once again it didn’t disappoint. My room on the 11th floor offered a breathtaking view of the sunrise and sunset—truly the highlight of my stay. The Christmas decorations around the property added a beautiful, festive atmosphere. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast featured delicious Filipino food along with great coffee. Transportation was easy, as taxis and Grab rides were readily available after checkout. The guard and hotel staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Another wonderful stay!❤️💪

The location is very convenient for us because it is just a walking distance to the place that we initially wanted to go. The room is clean but it can be improved more, plus its also quite convenient that our room is near the elevator and there is a 7/11 store in the lobby plus there is 24hrs free hot and cold water in the frontdesk. Our stay at Executive Hotel in Manila was pleasant and offered good value for money. The double room was clean, comfortable, and spacious for two guests, with reliable wifi, effective air conditioning, and a well maintained interior free of dust and insects. The only minor drawback was the lack of a view, as the window faced another room. The bathroom was compact but sufficient for our needs. The hotel’s location is convenient, with shopping malls, fastfood outlets, and convenience stores nearby. The staff were professional, accommodating, and courteous. We dined outside the hotel, so we cannot comment on the food service.

Large room (Superior King) which was clean unless you go looking under the fridge or bed. A very comfortable mattress and excellent bedding was provided. The shower was warm to hot and powerful. On our third booking, we were surprised by how huge the two-bedroom suite was. It felt like a house and has become our favorite room so far(room 402😘), perfect for family leisure. It even has a two big balcony, great for relaxing! Just take note, that the hotel is very strict with headcount and will charge per additional person. My siblings and I had a decent stay overall. The place was clean and comfortable enough for a short visit, and we appreciated having enough space for everyone. I will not stay in JMM again. The room interior is old, many paints are old and dirted. And many furnitures are scratched and not managed well. The microwave oven was malfunctioning. And there was a storm and some water dropped from the windows. The worst thing was I lost the security card(for the main gate at the ground floor) and door lock key. They charged 2000p for those. 1000p for each. The funny thing is the security key costs 300p by the condo but they asked me to pay 1000p for it also. I protested the front and the answer was it is the hotel's policy and she discussed it with her manager also and she is just an employee. I traveled so many hotels in the world. If I lost a key card, usually they just reissue it. Even if it is a budget hotel, 1000p for a key card is absurd. The hotel room cost was 44 usd, but I had to pay about 35 usd for losing two keys.

Value worth. The ambiance is pretty much rustic with small pool area quite different from other hotels in Manila, it was tucked in an alley (easy access)from Manila Bayview Tower. The staff were smiley warm and accomodating and helpful from the doorman to the cleaners, I guess its becos of good management? They have drinking water, hot n cold shower, we were used to the window type ac noise, not for light sleepers. The breakfast is plated generously. Stayed for two nights to easily explore Intramuros, Fort Santiago, Luneta Park and etc. They gave 2 key cards. Required PhP2k deposit, could be via credit card or cash. We love the A/C in the room but not the penthouse, where the breakfast buffet is. Speaking, the food is how I remembered before the great break for mankind in 2020. It’s simple and basic yet really I find enjoyable. We enjoyed their coffee. The view from our room was beautiful. Ours was clean and there’s no carpet which I like. And now I’m reminded how we were greeted with stinky carpet going to Rafaelle. By the way, this restaurant revamped its menu. In my opinion it’s not for the better. There’s also no way to do advance order. Even when declared that you’re staying at the hotel and a heart beat away. I gave my full name that could be verified with the reception. The return call was to turn down my request. It was composed of fragments of words, some phrases. From that call, I didn’t understand their reason for not agreeing. Anyhow, alert to Mommies and Daddies with hungry babe/s in tow. Quite unfortunate.

The room was fantastic—spacious, modern, and incredibly clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, making it easy to get a great night's sleep. The shower was also excellent, with great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which is always a plus after a long day. Breakfast at the hotel was also great. With big variety and good quality of the food. From fresh fruit and pastries to hot dishes, everything was delicious and well-prepared. However, the check-in process was a bit slow. It seemed like the front desk was understaffed or perhaps dealing with a system issue, which caused some delays. Additionally, I was disappointed to find out that the swimming pool was under renovation during my stay. It would have been nice to know this in advance, as I was looking forward to using it after a long day in a car. All bookings at Nustar Resort include breakfast and access to the Executive Club Lounge located on the 23rd floor of Fili Hotel. Mini-Bar is complimentary with a selection of 2 local beers, juices, and sodas. Nespresso machine with 4 capsules. TWG tea. Bottled water is unlimited. I appreciate the fridge being very cold. Gerlain Paris branded bathroom amenities, as well as bath salts for the large bath. Afternoon Tea (2:30 pm - 4:30 pm) Light snacks with a limited selection of savory and sweet bites, they need to improve on this. Evening cocktails and canapés (5:30 pm - 7:30 pm) Excellent food buffet. I like the lechon quesadillas, jalapeño cheese poppers, and siomai. I appreciate the bartender crafting cocktails from a menu of drinks. I understand the hotel is still brand new, but they need to do multiple inspections before releasing the room to guest. Vanity mirror was dusty from construction. The Butler service was very attentive, many thanks to Ice (Butler) for making my stay pleasant, he would escort me to the pool, and even breakfast buffet at Fili Hotel bypassing the crowd at the entrance. Breakfast Buffet is at Fili Hotel which is extensive and one of the best in Cebu. The problem is the crowd, while Nustar Butlers will escort Nustar guests to a table, there’s no dedicated tables for Nustar guests, which confuses the restaurant staff with seating assignments. Alternatively, the breakfast buffet at the executive club lounge is quiet but with limited options, they should have an a la carte menu to expand options like other international luxury hotels. The security at the lobby entrance is wildly inconvenient and inconsistent, every time you enter you need to prove you’re a guest of Nustar and not a guest of Fili or a casino player. It’s weird that they are sometimes overly strict and many times just ignore people passing by. Guests have a keycard to use elevators what’s the point of the guards that have a list of people’s names and room numbers, if anything that’s a security risk. The pool service is lacking. Shared between 2 hotels and the upcoming grand summit. The pool area lacks service of a 5-star hotel, towels need to be claimed at a towel hut. My expectation is that there are staff that will setup loungers with towels for guests. And since the pool facility is shared with the muncher large Fili Hotel it can get crowded. Fortunately, Nustar has a private infinity pool which was closed my stay. Nustar Resort has potential to be Cebu’s most luxurious hotel, they have the hard product with their spacious luxurious rooms, but they need to improve their soft product - the service from the butlers are outstanding and personal, but everyone else seems to be lost. For the asking price of 250-300 usd per night there’s a lot to expect. Nustar is primed for excellence but falls just short of achieving refined luxury. I’m hoping Nustar partners with Marriott and rebrand under Luxury Collection. Or even Hyatt with Unbound Collection.

The first room I was given had no working lights and was very dim. I requested a transfer, but the new room also had issues—the air conditioning was not working properly. Unfortunately, both rooms were uncomfortable, and I was quite disappointed with the experience. The photos show the lights that are not working. They mentioned that replacements have already been ordered. If that is the case, the customer will need to make the necessary adjustments in the meantime.
