How much does it cost for flights when traveling to the Philippines?

When planning a trip to the Philippines, one of the most important factors to consider is the cost of flights. The cost of flights to the Philippines can vary depending on various factors such as the departure location, time of year, airline, and availability.

If you are departing from major cities in the United States such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York, you can expect to pay anywhere from $500 to $1,000 for a round-trip economy class ticket to the Philippines. However, prices can fluctuate depending on the time of year you plan to travel, with peak travel seasons such as Christmas and summer months typically being more expensive.

How much does it cost for hotels when traveling to the Philippines

When planning a trip to the Philippines, one of the most important things to consider is the cost of accommodation. The cost of hotels in the Philippines varies depending on several factors, such as the location, season, and the type of accommodation the travelers are looking for.

  • Generally, hotels in major cities like Manila, Cebu, and Davao tend to be more expensive than hotels in smaller cities or rural areas. For example, a mid-range hotel room in Manila can cost anywhere from 2,000 to 5,000 PHP (40 to 100 USD) per night, while a luxury hotel room can cost upwards of 10,000 PHP (200 USD) per night.
  • In other cities and smaller towns in the Philippines, the hotel price range is generally lower. For instance, a mid-range hotel room in Cebu can cost around 1,500 to 3,000 PHP (30 to 60 USD) per night, while a luxury hotel room can cost around 7,000 to 8,000 PHP (140 to 160 USD) per night.

Hotel prices can fluctuate depending on the time of year and availability. During peak season, which is usually from December to February, hotel prices tend to be higher. On the other hand, hotel prices may be lower during the off-season, which is from June to September.

If you're looking for budget-friendly accommodation, there are also plenty of hostels and guesthouses in the Philippines that offer affordable rates. These types of accommodations can cost as low as 500 PHP (10 USD) per night.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms were had was large and clean, although a little dated. The location is right in the middle of the action - a big shopping centre near by, and many massage and restaurants around. Although it has a bit of a dingy feel. Unfortunately when we were there, the hotel was under renovation, so we didn't really get a 5 star feel.

We stayed at The Manila Hotel as a couple with one infant and had a very positive experience. The staff were extremely accommodating and attentive, the facilities felt grand and culturally rich rather than modern, and the location is central, great for nearby parks but challenging due to Manila traffic. The highlight was the breakfast, which was outstanding and easily the best complimentary hotel breakfast I’ve had.

I stayed for 2 nights at Diamond Hotel Manila during my business trip. The room was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of TV channels from kids’ shows to sports. The bathroom was large and clean, and check-in/check-out was fast and smooth. Breakfast had a good variety of choices, and I especially enjoyed the bar and the Japanese restaurant inside the hotel. Overall, a pleasant stay with great facilities .

While the breakfast buffet was a notable highlight with its quality and variety, my overall stay was significantly hampered by procedural and service-related friction points. Parking: A Major Inconvenience The process for securing complimentary parking is excessively complicated and needs to be streamlined. For a 5-night stay, having to follow these steps every single day was truly exhausting and time-consuming: Validate the ticket at the Front Desk for complimentary status. Go to the Parking Cashier for a zero-value receipt. Surrender this receipt at the parking exit. This multi-step, daily requirement detracts significantly from the convenience expected of a hotel in this category, and I urge management to simplify it for long-term guests. Front Desk & Check-In Issues Service at the Front Desk also presented some challenges: The check-in process was not smooth and took longer than expected. I often had to wait for an extended period for the front desk to answer my phone calls, which was frustrating when trying to resolve issues or make simple requests. Value for Money The breakfast buffet, while excellent, is priced quite high, making it feel less like a value-add and more like an excessive cost for those paying in addition to their room rate. Overall: The quality of the breakfast is great, but the cumbersome parking procedure and the inconsistent front desk service created daily friction that significantly impacted the overall comfort and convenience of my extended stay.

China Town Manila|0.16km from city center
Affordable hotel at the heart of Manila Chinatown! If you want to experience Manila Chinatown, the world's oldest chinatown, then the Ramada is the best place to start. I took a Binondo Food crawl and decided to book a room so I can fully enjoy Binondo. The room was quite spacious, wide doors and hallways (good access for people on wheelchairs), and quiet. Surprisingly very quiet! Despite it's very central and busy location, I was able to sleep and rest quietly. Aside from the occasional church bell, you won't really hear much of the noise from downstairs. As yu step out of the hotel lobby, you will be welcomed by the hustle and bustle of Binondo. Food stalls and restaurants everywhere. It is a gastronomic adventure and a shopper's paradise. Just a few steps away from the long lines of foodies are bazaars and shops where you can find anything from clothes to jewelry to Chinese charms. At the top of the hotel is Mento, their in-house dining spot, their breakfast buffet is decent but nothing too exciting. You may skip this and go straight outside, you'll need your appetite to fully experience all the food choices available. Just be ready to fall in line for minutes, some really popula shops have lines that go for hours! Overall the hotel is nice, comfortable and quiet. It may feel a bit old, and could use some refurbishing, but I say that's part of the Binondo charm. Old city, rich in tradition, but feels quite like home.

Write Subject Subject My family and I had such a great time staying at a hotel near during the Chinese New Year celebration. Everything about the trip just felt easy and enjoyable. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean, cozy, and perfect for us to relax in after a full day outside. What we loved most was the location — we could just walk to the festivities, try different food spots, and enjoy the colorful streets without worrying about long travel. It made a big difference, especially since we were traveling as a family. Even with all the excitement outside, the hotel itself felt calm and comfortable. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and whenever we had questions, the staff were happy to help. Overall, it was a fun and memorable family stay. We’d gladly book here again the next time we celebrate Chinese New Year in the area.

The family suite we booked was incredibly spacious and clean, giving us plenty of room to relax without feeling cramped. The beds were comfortable, and we all slept soundly. The highlight for our children was definitely the indoor pool and kids' play area. It was a perfect way for them to burn off energy, and it was well-maintained. The location was also fantastic, being close to manila ocean park and luneta. The staff, particularly the front desk team, were so welcoming and helpful, always greeting us with a smile. Red Planet Hotel Binondo is a great place to stay, especially for couples. My mom and stepdad stayed here last February 5–6 for one night while waiting for a flight the next day. The hotel is very clean, and the staff and security guard are very helpful. They even helped them book a Grab going to the airport. The hotel also allowed early check-in and early check-out, which made their stay more comfortable. They have stayed here three times already, and the experience has always been good. Our stay at Executive Hotel in Manila was pleasant and offered good value for money. The double room was clean, comfortable, and spacious for two guests, with reliable wifi, effective air conditioning, and a well maintained interior free of dust and insects. The only minor drawback was the lack of a view, as the window faced another room. The bathroom was compact but sufficient for our needs. My siblings and I had a decent stay overall. The place was clean and comfortable enough for a short visit, and we appreciated having enough space for everyone. The location was convenient, and check-in went smoothly. There were a few minor things that could be improved, like [insert example—e.g., the Wi-Fi connection or water pressure], but nothing that really affected our stay. With big variety and good quality of the food. From fresh fruit and pastries to hot dishes, everything was delicious and well-prepared. However, the check-in process was a bit slow. The à la carte options were exquisite, and the New Year's Eve dinner buffet was also fantastic. If I had to pick a flaw, it's that compared to the bai and Holiday Inn hotels, the Marriott doesn't have a doorman. No one came forward to help with my luggage when I got out of the car. I nearly paid 500 € per night and received an old room without any additional benefits. A Hairdryer needs to be requested. The Eqipment for snorkling is from the poorest quality and the glasses for complementary water at the pool have seen better days 10 years ago. The first room I was given had no working lights and was very dim. I requested a transfer, but the new room also had issues—the air conditioning was not working properly. Unfortunately, both rooms were uncomfortable, and I was quite disappointed with the experience. The photos show the lights that are not working. They mentioned that replacements have already been ordered. If that is the case, the customer will need to make the necessary adjustments in the meantime.

Check in and check out was very quick and service was excellent from all employees. The hotel itself is pretty standard and ordinary but great value. They have a well heated bathtub. Rooftop bar was a little smaller than i expected but twas still pretty overlooking the city. They had a band the night we stayed which was a Saturday. And most importantly, free parking is available in front of the hotel and basement. Buffet was decent as well. The staff was very accommodating. Thank you for having me and my little family.

The staff are very gracious and polite to help you. Buffet breakfast is a must for all to avail yourself when you book this property because of its wide selection and good food tastes. I used the gym twice during my stay. It’s small but enough to satisfy my need. Overall, I’m going to stay in Seda Ayala central block when I visit Cebu on the next Sinulog Fiesta.

Thank you, Holiday Inn Cebu. My family and I had a great time staying there for a few days. Lovely was truly lovely—it really suited her name. She was the most accommodating from the very start. We wanted to thank her again during check-out, but unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to see her. She went above and beyond in hospitality, and you’re lucky to have her. Keep up the great work. As for breakfast—OMG, we loved it! Special mention to the one who makes the coffee. Just a small note: it would be nice to improve or change the chafing dishes so the food stays hot. Other than that, the food and service were great. I will definitely choose this hotel from now on, as we always stay in the city for a few days before heading to our rest house. See you again soon, and thank you for the birthday cake and balloons!
