Singapore Arrival Card: Online Application, Form, Requirements

Here's the complete guide to Singapore Arrival Card (SGAC), including submission timing, digital download, requirements, fees, and common mistakes for global travelers.
See all flights
What is the Singapore Arrival Card (SGAC)?

Source: Immigration and Checkpoint Authority Singapore
The Singapore Arrival Card (SGAC) is a mandatory electronic declaration system introduced by Singapore’s Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) in March 2020, replacing the traditional paper disembarkation/embarkation card . It integrates immigration clearance information and a digital health declaration, and it‘s a key document for foreign visitors to enter Singapore.
Notably, the SGAC is not a visa. Even visa-exempt nationals must submit it before arrival, and approval does not guarantee entry—final eligibility is determined by ICA officers at checkpoints . Upon successful submission, travelers receive a confirmation email with an electronic Visit Pass (e-Pass), which replaces the physical passport stamp.
Do I Need a Singapore Arrival Card?

Source: Immigration and Checkpoint Authority Singapore
Most travelers to Singapore are required to submit the SGAC, with the following exceptions :
- Travelers transiting through Singapore without clearing immigration (i.e., not leaving the transit area).
- Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents (PRs), and long-term pass holders (e.g., student passes, dependent passes, work passes) entering via land checkpoints (Woodlands or Tuas).
All other foreign visitors, including those eligible for visa-free entry (e.g., Hong Kong SAR passport holders with 30-day visa exemption ), must complete the SGAC before arrival.
How Early Can I Submit My SG Arrival Card?
According to the latest ICA regulations (2026), travelers must submit the SGAC within 3 days (72 hours) prior to arrival, including the arrival day . Submitting too early (beyond 72 hours) is not allowed, as the system will not display your intended arrival date .
Example: If you arrive in Singapore on January 30, you can submit the SGAC from January 28 onwards. To avoid last-minute delays, it is recommended to complete submission 1-2 days before your trip.
How to Download the Digital Singapore Arrival Card

Source: Immigration and Checkpoint Authority Singapore
The SGAC online entry form is fully digital—no physical card is issued. You can access and submit it via two official, free channels (third-party paid services are not authorized by ICA ): Visit the ICA SG Arrival Card page. There’s also the MyICA Mobile app for iOS and Android.
Via MyICA Mobile App
- Download the MyICA Mobile app (available on iOS App Store and Google Play Store). For Android users unable to access Google Play, use the official website (see 4.2).
- Open the app and select “Foreign Visitor – SGAC” .
- Adjust the language settings (Simplified Chinese, English, etc.) via the top-right menu for easier operation.
- Proceed to fill in and submit the form (detailed in Section 5). The app allows scanning your passport to auto-import basic information, reducing manual input errors.
Via ICA Official Website
- Visit the ICA official SGAC page: Ensure the webpage shows “A Singapore Government Agency Website” at the top-left to avoid fraudulent sites.
- Navigate to “Visitor” → “SG Arrival Card” → “Submit SGAC”.
- Select “Individual Submission” for solo travel, then follow the prompts to complete the form.
How to Complete & Submit the Singapore Arrival Card

Source: Immigration and Checkpoint Authority Singapore
All information must be filled in English, even if using the Chinese interface.
Singapore Arrival Card - Materials to Prepare for Form Filling
Have these ready before you start to avoid interruptions:
- Valid passport (scan the bio page for auto-input if using the app).
- Flight/transport details (flight number, arrival mode: commercial aircraft, land, or sea).
- Singapore accommodation address (hotel booking confirmation or residential address; select “Other” if in transit).
- Contact information (international phone number with roaming enabled, email address).
- Health status details (for the mandatory health declaration section).
Singapore Arrival Card - Submission Process
- Enter personal details: Input or scan passport information (passport number, expiry date), full name, date of birth, and nationality.
- Fill in travel details: Select arrival date, purpose of visit (tourism, business, etc.), departure city before Singapore, and destination city after leaving Singapore.
- Complete health declaration: Truthfully declare your health status (e.g., no fever, cough, or other symptoms). Update the declaration immediately via the “Update SGAC” function if your health condition changes after submission.
- Review and submit: Double-check all information (errors may lead to entry denial). Submit the form once confirmed.
- Save confirmation: A PDF confirmation with a QR code will be generated. Save it digitally (phone, tablet) or print a copy. You will also receive the confirmation and e-Pass via email.

Singapore Arrival Card Requirements
These requirements I'm about to discuss cover official eligibility rules and mandatory checks for submission and entry (not just form-filling needs).
Eligibility & Mandatory Document Requirements (For Entry Verification)
- Passport validity: Minimum 6 months from the date of arrival in Singapore.
- Visa status: The SGAC is separate from a visa—ensure your visa (if required) is valid before submission.
- Supporting documents for immigration checks: Prepare return flight tickets and accommodation bookings to present to ICA officers if requested.
- Health requirements:
- Vaccinated travelers: May need to present a WHO-recognized vaccine certificate (children aged 12 and under are exempt).
- Unvaccinated travelers: Must provide a negative PCR test result taken within 48 hours before departure, plus a COVID-19 insurance policy with a minimum coverage of SGD 30,000.
Submission Requirements
- Approved channels only: Submit via MyICA Mobile App or ICA official website—no in-person submission at checkpoints is allowed.
- Accuracy is non-negotiable: False declarations violate Singapore’s Infectious Diseases Act and may result in legal consequences, entry denial, or fines.
- Group travel support: The app/website allows group submissions for families or teams—submit all members’ information in one session to save time.
How Much is Singapore Arrival Card Fees
Submitting the SGAC via official channels (MyICA App/ICA website) is completely free.
Be cautious of third-party agencies charging fees (e.g., 34 EUR or 25 USD)—these services are not affiliated with ICA and offer no additional benefits. Any request for payment during official submission is a red flag for fraud. Report fraudulent websites to ICA immediately.
How to Enter Singapore When You Arrive
Singapore has fully implemented self-service immigration clearance since February 2024, with no manual counters available . Follow these steps for smooth entry:
- Prepare documents: Have your valid passport and SGAC confirmation (digital or printed QR code) ready.
- Self-service clearance: Use the automated gates (242 available at Changi Airport ). Eligibility for self-service clearance includes:
- Chinese citizens with a 5-year multiple-entry Singapore visa, aged 6+, who have visited Singapore at least 3 times in the past 12 months .
- Permanent Residents, work pass holders, and long-term pass holders with registered fingerprints .
- Assisted clearance: Travelers with disabilities can use 64 dedicated assisted gates across terminals .
- Verification: ICA officers may verify your e-Pass, return ticket, or accommodation details. Cooperate with inspections to avoid delays.

Common Mistakes to Avoid about SGAC

MyICA Errors Guide
- Submitting too early/late: Missing the 72-hour window or submitting beyond the deadline may result in entry denial.
- Incorrect information: Typos in passport numbers, flight details, or accommodation addresses are the top cause of delays. Double-check all entries.
- Relying on third-party services: Paid agencies do not speed up processing or guarantee approval. Use only official channels.
- Ignoring health declaration updates: Failure to update health status changes (e.g., developing symptoms after submission) violates local laws.
- Forgetting to save confirmation: Without the QR code, you may face lengthy delays at checkpoints. Save a backup copy.

My recent stay at the Carlton Hotel Singapore completely redefined my expectations for convenient downtown accommodation. The location, facilities, and service were all top-notch, making for a refreshing and comfortable overall experience.
The hotel's location is truly unbeatable! It's right in the Bugis/Beach Road area, just a few minutes' walk from Bugis MRT station. Exploring places like Kampong Glam, the colorful murals of Haji Lane, or commuting to Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay Sands is incredibly convenient. Downstairs, there are convenience stores and a variety of restaurants, offering everything from local snacks to international cuisine, so you'll never go hungry, even late at night.
While the room wasn't huge, it was well-designed with plenty of natural light. The bedding was soft, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the bathroom had stable water pressure with a full set of essentials. It felt clean and tidy. The outdoor pool was a pleasant surprise; a dip in the evening, with the open views and a gentle breeze, was perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. The gym is open 24 hours with sufficient equipment, so maintaining a workout routine is no problem at all.
Service was consistently excellent. Check-in at the front desk was quick, and any requests were handled promptly. They even offered thoughtful suggestions for local attractions. The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection, including both local flavors and Western dishes, and everything tasted great – a perfect way to start the day feeling energized.
As an established hotel in the city center, it doesn't boast extravagant decorations, but it excels in practicality and comfort. Whether for a short shopping trip or a business visit, it's an extremely cost-effective and reliable choice. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Singapore!FromTRY 8,754

1. Early check-in and late check-out are available, charged hourly, though I don't recall the exact rates. The service was polite, but they don't offer luggage delivery to your room.
2. The location is indeed excellent. It's walking distance to the police station attraction, and taxis to various places cost around S$11-15, making it great for quick sightseers.
3. Breakfast was quite mediocre, like airplane food brought to the ground, and it was very crowded. You might as well skip it and try local street food; that experience is much better.
The hotel pool is glass, which is beautiful, and I highly recommend trying it out – it's a bit like the one at the St. Regis.
[Soundproofing] It's pretty poor; light sleepers will hear noise from outside the door.
[Musty Smell] The rooms had a significant musty odor. If this bothers you, don't book here. I'd consider it an unpleasant smell.
The upside is that for Singapore, it's not expensive, just a little over a thousand (SGD/CNY), so what more can you ask for?FromTRY 7,917

Overall, it offered a comfortable and practical base in the city. From the moment I arrived, the vibe felt youthful and community-focused—very much aligned with lyf’s co-living concept, with shared spaces designed for socialising and relaxing.
One of my favourite parts of the property was the bar located right next to the front desk. It had a great vibe—casual, lively, and inviting. It made the lobby area feel more like a social hub than a typical hotel reception. Whether you’re grabbing a drink in the evening or just passing through, it adds a fun, energetic atmosphere to the stay.
The room itself was generally clean and functional. The layout is compact but thoughtfully arranged, making good use of space without feeling overly cramped. The bedding felt fresh, and the overall housekeeping standard was decent. That said, there were a few noticeable signs of wear and tear. Some areas of the walls had visible mould spots, and certain finishes felt a little dated, which slightly detracted from the modern aesthetic the brand aims for.
One thing that really caught me off guard was the in-room safe. It was located under the bed and wasn’t properly closed when I checked in. Because it sits low and slightly hidden, I accidentally bumped my leg into it quite hard—which definitely wasn’t pleasant. It’s a small detail, but something that could be improved with better checks during room preparation.
In terms of amenities, basics like slippers and toothbrushes are available, but they’re not automatically placed in the room. You’ll need to request them from the front desk if you need them, which is good to know in advance.FromTRY 3,626

This hotel offered great value for money during Chinese New Year in Singapore. While the room was only slightly bigger than what you'd find in Japan, the location was fantastic – super convenient for public transport (buses and MRT) and surprisingly quiet, which meant I slept really well. Housekeeping was done daily, too.
The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, but there wasn't any strong smell, which was good. The only minor points were that the lobby on the ground floor was a bit small, and you have to navigate a few turns to get to the elevators.
Oh, and a tip: if you turn left when you exit the hotel and walk towards the church, there's a self-service orange juice machine that makes really delicious juice!FromTRY 4,410

## Environment:
The location is good, very close to the subway, making transportation convenient. There's a convenience store downstairs, so it's easy to grab a bite if you get hungry at night. We East Asians might find the smell in some areas a bit uncomfortable (mainly in the elevator; the lobby and rooms are fine. You know the drill).
## Hygiene:
The room was quite clean.
## Service:
Check-in involved a bit of a wait. For Singapore, it seems there are fewer staff who speak Chinese. Also, my breakfast records for two days weren't logged, so I had to explain and confirm with the staff every morning.
## Breakfast:
Perhaps to cater to the needs of Indian guests, the breakfast here was truly difficult to describe...
## Facilities:
The hotel facilities are quite old, but! The important thing is that the rooms are really spacious. If you're not a fan of Singapore's super small-sized rooms, I highly recommend this place. Additionally, the hotel decor might remind you of the golden nineties; it's quite retro and stylish in its own way.FromTRY 4,535

I came here with my kids and parents, and we booked two rooms – one for five nights and the other for three. Overall, I'd give it a five-star rating. Although some reviews mentioned it feeling a bit old, and it is an older hotel, the rooms we got seemed to have been recently renovated. They felt modern and were in good condition. We booked a twin room for three people and were upgraded for free to a family room with one double bed and one single bed, which was arranged upon check-in without us even asking – very thoughtful! My family of three slept very well. The pool isn't huge, but it's perfectly adequate. The women's spa has a hot tub in the shower area, which made up for the lack of a bathtub in the room. We were even able to continue using the pool and showers after checking out. The service was also excellent – warm, attentive, and thorough. When I asked for ice, a robot delivered it to our room!
