Except for the location, which I found a bit inconvenient, everything else at Old Shuncheng Street deserves a resounding five-star review. It's actually quite central, with views of Tianfu Square. However, getting to the South Gate is a bit of a trek. The lobby on the 25th floor offers expansive views, and the service is truly excellent. You're greeted as you exit the elevator, guided to the guest room elevators, and receive phone calls both before check-in and after check-out. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, the bedding is top-notch, and even the toiletries are good – I particularly liked the toothpaste. Breakfast deserves special praise; it's among the best at any high-end hotel in Chengdu, surpassing even the Waldorf Astoria and W. What makes it stand out: fresh, beautifully presented fruit, with watermelon cut into perfectly uniform pieces – a lovely detail. The Mapo Tofu at breakfast was incredibly authentic and tasted amazing with the mini steamed buns… and so on. Highly recommended! At this price point in Chengdu's old city, it's essentially the pinnacle. Highly, highly recommended!

This was a top notch St Regis experience! Room was not ready when we checked in and we added the butler on WeChat, and was informed via WeChat when the room was ready. Subsequently we could reach the hotel anytime via WeChat, and would always receive a response within minutes. Butler could communicate over WeChat very well in English. Butler service was great as it offered complimentary 24 hr drinks service (we could order via WeChat). We also realised we had left our wallet at the lift lobby after leaving the hotel, and managed to get the hotel to help locate it and bring it back to our room - all done via WeChat within minutes. Special mention as well to the concierge staff who went the extra mile to help contact Taobao delivery riders to expedite our deliveries as we were leaving the very next day and had yet to receive our items. Service wise - all the staff are highly trained and attentive to your needs. Most staff can speak English well. The only slight downside is that food delivery riders are not allowed to enter the hotel, so you have to personally go down to collect food deliveries from the collection lockers (situated right outside the hotel entrance), unlike other hotels in China which have robots to bring your food deliveries to your room doorstep. But this works well if you want flexibility in your collection time. Overall, a really wonderful experience and would highly recommend St Regis Chengdu to anyone visiting Chengdu.

The staffs are helpful but might hv some difficulty to understand some crucial request. I asked for no room clean but need water bottles and ended up getting none. I very like the carpetted room but I found few strains of hair left, the housekeepers could do abit more hard vacuum during cleaning I guess. Others were spotless. There a lot of eateries and shops around the hotel and this is very convenient for guests. The local post office is nearby for someone love to postcross too. Very recommend this hotel for all travellers coming to Chengdu.

Amazing hotel. I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was very nice and it has a separate shower and bath tub. The reception area is also very nice and clean and the staff are very friendly. Location wise this was right next to Wenshu Monestary metro station making it easy to get around the city. The Monestary is also walking distance and worth a visit. The staff check in daily to clean the room and to ask if i needed anything additional which they deliver by robot. My room was on the 24th floor. Lifts came quickly too. They have a laundry room which is free to use and has a washer and dryer and detergent included. Overall I had a very pleasant stay and would consider staying here again if i am back in Chengdu.

The staff was super friendly and helpful, they also helped me placing an order on taobao. The room we booked was for smokers but even if you smoked inside after cleaning it was super scented. They also provide water, soft drinks and tea with an electric boiler in room while at the reception you can find tea ready to drink and a panda statue to take photos with. Ever since I received such warm assistance from the Shangri-La during the pandemic, I've chosen this hotel every time I visit Chengdu. Although the hotel is a bit older, all its facilities are very well-maintained. The gym has a full range of high-quality equipment, and the changing rooms offer both steam and dry saunas, as well as a hot tub, definitely meeting a five-star standard. Towels are always plentiful. Housekeeping is punctual every day, and there's even a turn-down service between 6 and 7 PM. I find the breakfast quite good, with a variety of options including Japanese cuisine. The location is also excellent; for younger, more energetic guests, the Lan Kwai Fong bar street is just 100 meters to the right of the hotel. All things considered, the Shangri-La remains one of the top hotels in Chengdu.

They called me a day in advance to confirm my needs, and upon check-in, the front desk provided all the necessary information and even upgraded my room. A staff member escorted me to the room and gave me a small panda toy. Fresh fruit was replenished daily, and the mini-fridge was stocked with complimentary chilled beer and soft drinks, which was a very welcome touch, especially with the hot weather in Chengdu. The breakfast was quite comprehensive, and the braised beef was particularly good. The hotel's location is convenient for getting around, not far from various attractions, and you can even see egrets along the river right outside. Staff members Li Shihao and Huang Qiumei were diligent and provided thoughtful service. I would definitely consider staying at Jinjiang Hotel again on my next trip to Chengdu.

This is my second time in Chengdu in half a month, this time for Luo Yunxi's concert. To enjoy Chengdu's delicious food, I chose this hotel in Chunxi Road. I got an upgrade to a night view room, and the balcony overlooks the famous 3D panda screen. The aroma of the essential oil shower gel at night was amazing; after having hotpot for lunch, I could shower with the essential oil to get rid of the smell and then go see Luo Yunxi looking fresh and fragrant! 🥰 The hotel's robot delivery service was very convenient for me, as I wanted to try everything but have a small appetite. Chunxi Road is surrounded by long-established and original restaurants. On the last day, I ordered all the dishes I hadn't tried, like Lao Ma Ti Hua and Chengdu Maocai, and had them delivered to the hotel to sample one by one – it was delightful! When checking out, the front desk even gave me a panda plushie. I had a wonderful time this trip. P.S. After leaving the Wuliangye venue, you can just cross the road and use an app to call a taxi back to the city center. Late at night, the driver sped us back to the hotel entrance in just over 20 minutes. Choosing a five-star hotel in the city center is definitely much more comfortable than hotels 1-2 kilometers walking distance from the venue.

The hotel front desk contacted me in advance to arrange a quiet room on a higher floor for me. I went to Chengdu for the auto show and visited Sanxingdui. There are many food options around the hotel; I went out for a late-night snack behind the hotel, which took about 20 minutes to walk to, or just a few minutes by taxi.

First, I have to commend the room hygiene; daily cleaning was meticulous and thorough, and facilities were regularly maintained. The internet, power outlets for office use, and other equipment ran stably, making long work sessions stress-free. The hotel service was excellent; any requests I made were handled quickly and properly. Check-in at the front desk was fast and efficient, and the concierge service was very thoughtful. The recreational facilities were a huge plus – the 24-hour gym was always available, and the heated swimming pool provided a comfortable environment. After a busy day, exercising and relaxing there was perfect. When I was tired, I'd book a hotel spa session, which was very effective for stress relief. The dining options were varied and flexible. For breakfast, I'd just go to the brunch buffet, which had a super long serving time until 1:30 PM – incredibly convenient as I didn't have to rush. Sometimes, when I didn't feel like eating out, I'd choose a la carte Chinese food at the hotel, which was authentically delicious. To get a change of scenery for work, I'd head to the lobby bar for a high-altitude afternoon tea; the elevated view was very relaxing. The hotel offers free parking, which was convenient for client visits. The public areas were clean and grand, perfect for quick informal meetings with partners in the lobby. Plus, the secure design of card-access elevators for guest floors made for a peaceful stay. The hotel doesn't focus on tourism or entertainment; its atmosphere is calm and quiet, with no noise to disrupt work, making it ideal for long-term business stays. My experience was fantastic, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time! Thumbs up to the hotel and its staff! 👍

We drove to Chengdu, and since there are traffic restrictions based on license plates, having a parking lot at this hotel was incredibly convenient. The security guard was also very kind and welcoming. The front desk staff was diligent and responsible. The room wasn't huge, but it was very elegant, and the bedding was super comfortable. There are lots of great food options nearby, and it's really close to Chunxi Road. If you want to go to Sanxingdui, you can just take a bus from Chunxi Road. Chengdu truly is a relaxing city! The location is excellent, very close to Metro Line 2 and convenient for buses. Kuanzhai Alley is also nearby and within walking distance. There are plenty of dining options in the surrounding area, catering to all budgets. The room was spacious enough, and it came with tea bags, soft candies, and cookies. In the hallway, there were cold fruit drinks and hot coffee available. All the hotel staff were very friendly. The hygiene was good, and the facilities were neither new nor old. The bathroom occasionally had a slight odor, but that's a minor point, and overall, I highly recommend it.

This stay truly exceeded my expectations! Upon entering the room, there was no strange odor, and the desk and floor were spotless. The bedding was fluffy and soft, and lying on it made my fatigue instantly melt away. The bathroom was dry with no standing water, and toiletries were fully stocked. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient during check-in, and they responded promptly to any issues. The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient to get around. The self-service laundry room had well-maintained equipment, making washing and drying clothes a breeze. The breakfast spread was rich, with both hot dishes and snacks available. Overall, the value for money is great. It's a worthwhile choice for a trip to Chengdu, and I'll definitely come back next time!

We chose this hotel because it was close to the zoo and panda base, and the receptionist, Xiao Shu, greeted us warmly as soon as we entered the lobby. She gave our child candy and even provided slippers and a children's toothbrush – very thoughtful! The hotel environment was great, and there were many snack shops, hot pot restaurants, barbecue restaurants, and skewers restaurants nearby, all with delicious food. The room was very clean, well-equipped, and the shower temperature was just right. The air conditioning was also very smart. We could call the front desk for any issues, and they always resolved them promptly. The service was truly excellent.
