This was a great day trip. This section of the wall is easier to traverse, and different in structure. Our guide, Roberta, knows when to speak, and provides the right information. I didn’t enjoy the food -prepaid hotpot. I recommend you get your own, plenty of options available. Overall, I highly recommend this trip. It was quiet, away from the crowds.

I had an excellent experience on the Mubus City Walk Tiananmen and Forbidden City tour with tour guide Vanessa. She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging, providing fascinating insights into the history, architecture, and culture of both Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Her pacing was perfect, allowing plenty of time to explore and take photos without feeling rushed. Vanessa’s attention to detail and ability to answer all questions made the tour both informative and enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting a deep and memorable experience of Beijing’s most iconic landmarks.

Our guide, Ms Zhu Zhu (珠珠)was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. Her tour was lively, illuminating and engaging. Our family of 4 were totally captivated by the historical significance of The Prince Kung Palace Museum. Ms Zhu’s anecdotes and stories brought the place back to life. We were fully satisfied with the tour which started exactly on time and brought us on a journey back in time, back to a period of greatness in the history of this great civilization: China. Thank you, Ms Zhu, for your patience and passion!

Seriously, the moment I walked in, the front desk lady's smile just warmed my heart! She immediately told us we could get a free room upgrade – talk about good luck, it cut my travel fatigue in half! The room itself was amazing! Bright and spotless, I even ran my hand along the corners, absolutely dust-free! It wasn't huge, but it had everything, neatly arranged without feeling cramped. And the soundproofing? Incredible! Once the window was closed at night, it was super quiet. Combined with how comfy the bed was, I practically fell asleep instantly! Breakfast was also top-notch, from Chinese congee to Western pastries, a huge variety, filling and delicious! Plus, the hotel's location is super convenient; just around the corner is a food street – perfect for a night out eating and exploring! All in all, this experience was fantastic! I've already decided this is my go-to place whenever I'm in the area! Trust me, go stay here!

Overall, I was very satisfied. Even without my ID, I could use electronic verification for check-in. And if you forget your charger, you can borrow one from the front desk. The front desk staff, especially the ladies, were incredibly nice, and every employee had a smile on their face. The physical facilities met expectations, but more importantly, the soft services were also excellent, making me feel truly valued as a guest. **Service:** The in-room dining was fantastic; the roasted duck and lychee shrimp balls were delicious! You can also order takeout, and a robot will deliver it. **Facilities:** The only minor issue was with ride-hailing. When setting the destination to the hotel lobby, the navigation consistently directed drivers to the exit gate. However, this gate is exit-only and cannot be entered. I'm not sure why ride-hailing apps would navigate this way, but every time I took a taxi, I couldn't be dropped off directly at the lobby entrance. I always had to walk in from the exit gate. I hope this can be improved.

This time, I brought my child to the hotel. I'd inquired beforehand and knew they couldn't provide a crib, so I made do by pushing the sofa and bed together to create a safe sleeping space. The hotel's service attitude was good, and the room was very spacious. I tried out the pool in the morning; it's connected to the gym. There weren't any staff around, so no towels were provided, but the water temperature was lovely and warm. The pool itself is small but very quiet.

During the Chinese New Year, I brought my family to stay here, and the experience wasn't great. This time, I decided to give it another shot, and the experience has significantly improved. From the front desk to the room service, everyone was quite professional, making up for a lot of the previous negative impression. I also want to commend them for seemingly adding staff at the elevator entrance on each floor overnight. My sense of security immediately skyrocketed. I hope this excellent practice continues. There are also plenty of great food options around the hotel, which is a big plus.

My wife and I enjoyed our 6 days stay. The frontline staff from the door to the front desk were well trained, led and empowered to make immediate impact in service delivery. Our best experience in our China travel thus far. Well done and Thank you! Rooms were spacious and comfortable with the wash basin n toilet/shower separated. Very functional. We were presently surprised by the quality of the toothbrush provided in the room. See picture. Had not seen this quality even in hotels in many other developed countries. But suggest the hotel consider change the shaver though. Located less than 10 mins walk to the line 1 n 2 Jiangguomen subway, for easy reach to most attractions. This will be our new base whenever we are back in Beijing.

Beijing Xinqiao Hotel was such a perfect start to our first trip to China! The front desk staff was helpful and attentive. The room was great, with such a cool city view!! The bed was super comfortable. Please note: there is no heating in the rooms, but they do provide warm blankets! We really appreciated all of the room amenities (especially the great smelling shampoo and conditioner!) but especially liked the bottles of water. After long days of walking it was nice to have them in the room. The hotel is bustling with tourists and the lobby is usually busy, but our room was quiet! Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious - but be warned going around 9 AM you may need to be patient to wait for a table. I received packages while there and the concierge assisted with that as well. A wonderful stay - highly recommend!!!

The location is fantastic, making it super convenient for getting around. Wangfujing Pedestrian Street is just around the corner. It's a 5-minute walk to Exit C of Jinyu Hutong Station on Line 8. From the hotel, you can walk to the Forbidden City's Meridian Gate (Wumen) entrance for ticket checking by following the wall from Donghua Gate, which takes about 25 minutes. The room is small but has everything you need and is perfectly adequate. The breakfast is decent too; it's great to fill up before heading out for a stroll. First off, the location is excellent. Chongwenmen subway station is right nearby, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions. Secondly, there are plenty of dining and shopping options around. There's a fantastic Hunan restaurant right across the street, and the Hongxing Qianjin Bakery is also close by. Finally, the room itself was quite spacious, but the facilities are a bit dated, and the lighting is a bit dim.

Family Fun | 2 Adults & 1 Child - Kids' Adventure Park Access (during stay): The little one absolutely loved the kids' club and didn't want to leave, even when I was managing the child alone, it was stress-free. The JW Marriott brand standards simply don't apply here. 'Schrödinger's Pillow' – A Play in Five Acts: Act I: The Standard Promise The bedside card, as per Marriott brand custom, listed an extensive pillow menu. As a regular guest, I had no reason to doubt it. Act II: The Informed Denial I called the front desk for service and subsequently experienced a 'triple denial' from the front desk, manager Bruce, and housekeeping. However, the core issue is this: Manager Bruce explicitly admitted during our conversation that he knew 'all Marriotts can provide different pillows,' but insisted they simply didn't have them here. This implies that the entire team, fully aware of brand standards, collectively and actively misled the guest. Act III: Arrogance The next day at 10:20 AM, the duty manager, Emma Qiu, arrived late. When confronted, she nonchalantly stated, 'It's only 20 minutes late.' Upon being informed that the complaint had been escalated to Marriott headquarters, she abruptly hung up with a dismissive 'We don't have any,' disappearing without a trace. Act IV: The Reversal After enlisting the help of Ctrip, 12315 (consumer protection hotline), and other parties, the plot took a dramatic turn: Manager Emma Qiu announced that silk pillows had been available all along! So, was the entire hotel team suffering from collective amnesia last night, or were they performing a piece of performance art where 'if we say it's not there, it's not there'? Final Act: The Cost The 'ticket price' for this grand show was 1010 yuan. For the curtain call, the hotel grudgingly refunded 30%, and Ctrip, unable to stand by, covered an additional 20% out of its own pocket. In the end, you pay 500 yuan to understand the true meaning of 'managerial chaos' and 'broken promises.' This experience wasn't ultimately about the pillows; it was about the complete breakdown of trust. When a hotel can systematically deceive its guests in such a way, how much truth is left in its promises of safety, hygiene, and service? Please consider my full experience carefully. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, choose wisely.

My first room had a spider – I looked up right before going to sleep and it was directly above my bed. I called the front desk, and they responded promptly, moving me to a different room and upgrading me to a suite. However, due to the hotel's old facilities, the windows weren't sealed properly. Since I moved in late at night, my first impression of the suite was how cold it was, I even thought the window might be open. The room was only 20 degrees Celsius. The suite was also much larger, and from 9:30 PM until 2:30 AM, even with the AC on full blast at 28 degrees, the temperature never went up; it stayed at 20.5 degrees. I was curled up in bed, but my face was freezing, LOL. The AC heating was useless; the temperature was nowhere near comfortable for sleeping. (Later, a male AC repairman with a terrible attitude came up, looking very impatient and completely unhelpful. The only useful information he provided was that the hotel's AC doesn't blow warm air until the official heating season – which is completely ridiculous, absurd, and darkly humorous. This repairman gets a huge thumbs down. The other two male staff members who helped me switch rooms had excellent attitudes.) I wanted to switch back to a queen room, but was told they were fully booked. I then wanted to check out and get a refund, but the manager said no because it was past midnight – how was I supposed to know the AC heating was just for show? I had showered and was huddled in bed, unable to sleep due to the cold, and only called the front desk when I couldn't take it anymore! That's why it was so late. Ultimately, I had to involve Trip.com for mediation. The afternoon of the day after I checked out, on my way home, they called and said they managed to get me a 50% refund, so Trip.com is reliable. The hotel's infrastructure, however, is terrible. I could also tell that the duty manager that day tried her best, and as women, our communication was smoother and more comfortable. She even came over to explain the refund situation when I was on the phone in the lobby. The manager's attitude was excellent; she showed empathy. But if the hardware isn't good, it's just not good. Switching to a few more rooms wouldn't change the fact that the temperature wouldn't go up. In the end, after all that hassle, I went online at 3 AM the next day, booked a Hanting hotel, and took a taxi there. I finally got a good, peaceful night's sleep. At Hanting, the room temperature was normal for sleeping as soon as I entered – the contrast was stark. So now I understand why so many people choose newer hotels, those opened in recent years, after experiencing this myself. This incredibly dramatic stay completely ruined my mood for exploring Beijing. I woke up after only four hours of sleep the next day and took the high-speed train home, haha. In any case, I will definitely be avoiding this place. I've given objective ratings for each module, but there's no way to sugarcoat this experience.

I loved the hotel's pool. The fitness center was well-equipped, even offering dedicated areas for showering and bathing. The lobby was stunning. While the in-room facilities were a bit dated, complimentary welcome fruit was a nice touch. Everything else was pretty standard. Its location was a major plus, though ironically, for a central Beijing hotel, it felt quite inconvenient for getting around. Walking to places was a bit too far, and taking a taxi meant getting stuck in traffic no matter where you went.

The rooms and service were decent, pretty standard. Given the price during this period, which was even higher than Atlantis Sanya and The Ritz-Carlton, the biggest flaw is that for a hotel that positions itself as family-friendly, shouldn't there be some leniency regarding charges for children? For example, the breakfast pricing. Many children today are tall; there are many five-year-olds who are already over 1.2 meters. Is it really fair to charge 99 RMB for breakfast just for being over 1.2 meters? Couldn't that be relaxed to an age-based system? Even a seven or eight-year-old wouldn't eat that much. Plus, when booking, there were only packages that included adult breakfast, no options to book breakfast for children together. The hotel's service and dining are otherwise quite good. However, dinner usually means dining within the hotel, and the quality of the food at the Chinese restaurant is truly underwhelming. It felt like most dishes were pre-made, and the prices were high. I ordered steamed spare ribs, and the moment I tasted them, it felt exactly like those vacuum-packed, shelf-stable meal kits that just need to be steamed. If you have no other choice and are driving, it's worth the trouble to go out and eat at restaurants a few kilometers away.

The room was very warm and the hotel design is great! The only minor issue was that the milk and soy milk at breakfast were a bit cold. They weren't kept in thermos containers, and Chinese stomachs generally prefer warmer breakfast drinks. Perhaps they could consider providing a separate thermos just for Chinese guests, it wouldn't be a huge investment. Foreigners seem fine with the current glass containers.

The facilities and environment were excellent, but the room amenities fell far short of expectations. The refrigerator wasn't cold, blood stains were found on pillows, the bedding was torn, and the bathroom door couldn't lock. That said, I'm immensely grateful to the hotel butler, Bradley, for his exceptional care. He provided 24/7 support for my family and me, promptly addressing every request—whether fixing malfunctioning phones, repairing all broken lights in the room, or other issues. His help extended beyond hotel duties: when we planned outings, he offered invaluable advice, practical tips, and essential reminders. Though these matters weren't his responsibility after we checked out, he meticulously arranged everything for us. Bradley truly went above and beyond.

Staying with the kids was a wonderful surprise! The hotel's environment is serene, perfect for a relaxing family getaway. The service was incredibly thoughtful; staff even proactively offered little gifts when they saw our child. The facilities are also fantastic, with a dedicated kids' play area that our child absolutely loved and didn't want to leave. They also considered the little ones with their meal options, offering delicious and healthy kids' meals. This family trip was incredibly worthwhile, and we'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!

The hotel was excellent. We loved everything about it. The service was exceptional and the employees were very friendly. The hotel is in a very nice location and in a close range to many attractions. I liked that the room service items are delivered by robots. The rooms are spacious and very clean. I will definitely book in this hotel again when I come to Beijing in the future.

Upon checking into this hotel, I don't know why, but it smelled musty. Maybe it's just old. The first room I was given reeked of smoke. The second room was better, but had a very strong woody smell. The third room finally had no noticeable odor, but there was carpet cleaning happening right outside the door with white paper laid out, making it look quite messy. All in all, it was a very uncomfortable experience. The manager came and simply offered room changes, explaining that the hotel is a bit old and uses a lot of wood. By then, I had already switched rooms three times and was starving, so I didn't bother arguing further. The overall staff attitude was good, and the location was convenient for transportation. However, this hotel is simply terrible for anyone with sensitive skin, pharyngitis, or rhinitis. I broke out in hives that night and had to go to the emergency room for an injection. The next day, I immediately canceled all my plans and headed straight home. Furthermore, I suspect the hotel's air conditioning is also old; it made loud gasping noises after running for a while in the middle of the night. The soundproofing was also abysmal. Everyone, please be cautious.

Inconveniences: No disposable bath bags, toilet seat covers, or small toilets. Snacks in the mini-fridge weren't replenished promptly. Highly user-friendly (special shout-out for these points): Late check-out until 3 PM, which was great for my child's nap. The disposable dental kit included dental floss.

The ambiance was wonderful. Staying on the 27th floor offered fantastic city skyline views, which were especially beautiful at night. The service was excellent; I was particularly impressed that takeout deliveries are handled by an automated robot straight to your room. As for cleanliness, turndown service had already been completed by the time we returned to the room each evening, with water thoughtfully placed by the bedside – a very considerate touch. Upon check-in, we were also welcomed with complimentary fruits, desserts, and coconut water. The hotel is conveniently located right next to a subway station, making transportation incredibly easy. I would absolutely choose to stay at The Westin again if I have the chance.

This is my fourth time in Beijing, and I chose the Four Seasons. The hotel is located by the Liangma River, and the scenery along its banks is beautiful, especially during the crisp autumn weather. The room was spacious and bright, with a comfortable and clean bathroom, exuding a charming 'old money' Chinese aesthetic. Although it has a slightly dated feel, the Four Seasons' quality control has always been consistent, professional, and efficient, making it one of my preferred hotel brands. My thanks to the front desk, concierge, and housekeeping staff for their excellent service. Not having a robotic or stiff service is truly the most valuable quality a hotel can possess.

China International Exhibition Center Area Beijing|7.13km from city center
Honestly, and without exaggeration, this was the worst hotel experience I've had among all the hotels I've stayed in. 1. The hotel is very large, and the lobby is grand and beautiful. There are staff members to help with luggage. I'm not sure of its star rating, but it has a swimming pool and a gym, and the location is good. 2. Now for the downsides: The breakfast quality is mediocre. The front desk for check-in is on the 3rd floor. Every time you want to go downstairs, you have to go to the 3rd floor to switch elevators, and then take another elevator or escalator down. The same goes for going up, you have to keep switching. This is quite inconvenient. Additionally, the laundry room charges for washing clothes, and it's a third-party service that closes at night, so it's not available 24/7. 3. I booked a king-size bed room for nearly 900 per night, and it was quite ordinary and not very spacious. There was no welcome fruit upon arrival. The mini-fridge only had one small bottle of Coke and one small bottle of Sprite, as shown in the picture. On the first day, I used the tea, but it wasn't refilled on the second day. I asked a staff member for another Coke and Sprite, thinking I'd drink them on the road, and I was incredibly surprised when they refused. The reason given was that since my previous drinks hadn't been used, they couldn't provide more. I booked for two nights, which essentially means I paid for two sets of amenities. Shouldn't two sets of amenities be configured identically? Two small bottles cost just a few yuan. Even a budget hotel wouldn't refuse something like that. It just makes the hotel seem stingy. Some staff members are snobby, arrogant, and impatient, even rolling their eyes. Just because they see a lot of foreigners, do they think they're rich? Do they look down on everyone? The experience was actually worse than staying at an Atour hotel.

Stayed at Jen Beijing by Shangri-La from 16-20 October 2025. If you want sleek, modern, and excellent location, this nails it. If you're after warm, personalized service, look elsewhere. The room was spotless and contemporary. Location is unbeatable, sitting right on top of an upscale mall. Daily fruit delivery was a lovely touch that showed someone's thinking about guests. The vibe is youthful and high-energy throughout the public spaces. Fair warning for introverts or anyone seeking a quieter luxury experience: the lobby is bright, colorful, with a full wall of screens and constant foot traffic from the mall below. The gym is a commercial one open to non-guests, so it's busier and less exclusive than typical hotel fitness centers. The rooms themselves are quiet and peaceful, a nice contrast to the lively common areas. But overall, staff interaction is minimal. You're essentially paying for excellent facilities and location, not personalized hospitality. No one greets you by name, remembers your preferences, or checks in on you. It's efficient and polished, but transactional. If you want attentive service where staff make you feel looked after, this isn't it. But if you prefer a stylish, self-sufficient base with great amenities and don't need much human contact, Jen Beijing delivers well. Four stars for what it is, just make sure it's what you're looking for.

Rosewood Beijing is an awesome property. Very luxurious accommodations on par with other rosewood locations. We stayed in a connected 2 suite format and the set-up was awesome for a family of 4. There’s a great bar on the 5th floor called MEI with live jazz, hookah, and great drinks. The location is great for enjoying all of beijings major attractions except for summer palace which is still only a 45 min ride away. Will be back!

I booked an Executive King Room for two nights and got upgraded to a Deluxe Suite. The staff called me before, during, and after my stay to check in, but it just so happened that all three times I wasn't available to talk. The last time, I was at the high-speed rail station checking my ticket, and it was so noisy I could barely hear 80% of what the concierge was saying, so I just kept nodding along, haha. It was a double holiday, so of course, it was crowded. They seemed a bit short-staffed, but you could tell they were trying their best. At breakfast, they prioritized serving the larger tables. As a solo diner, I felt a bit neglected, sitting in a remote corner where no servers ever passed by, qaqa. Oh well, I guess it's understandable. The lounge service, however, was excellent. They made me my favorite Whiskey Sour, which was delicious. When I mentioned I wanted to switch to a latex pillow before leaving, it arrived in my room shortly after – and the coffee was the best I've had in any hotel lounge!

We stayed in a family room this time, and it was fantastic! The room was quite spacious, and the bedroom had a huge bed, probably over 2 meters. The balcony had a sofa bed, which was made up with cute sheets. As soon as my little one walked in, they immediately wanted to lie on the adorable sofa bed! There was also a lovely welcome gift bag. The whole place was very clean. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area and a large bathtub. The furniture arrangement was very minimalist. The absolute best part was the pool! There was a kids' pool with suitable water temperature, a hot spring pool around 40 degrees Celsius, and a large standard pool. My child begged to go swimming every day! Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. The location was also excellent, very close to the airport, and next to 798 Art Zone and the China National Film Museum. Our butler, Adalyn, was super nice! She helped arrange everything before our check-in and even proactively offered a late check-out, giving us plenty of time to plan our trip to the Forbidden City. We are very grateful! Next time we visit Beijing, we will definitely choose this hotel again because it's truly family-friendly!

I brought my son, a military enthusiast, to this hotel to watch the parade. After extensive research, I chose this hotel over the Park Hyatt, specifically booking a room with a view of Chang'an Avenue. My research had indicated that rooms with a good, unobstructed view of Chang'an Avenue are limited, so arriving early was recommended. We got to the hotel a little after 10 AM and naturally had to wait for the previous night's guests to check out before we could check in. I particularly want to commend the service: 1. During our stay, middle schools in Beijing were conducting online classes from home. When we arrived, my son was in the middle of an online class. The staff quickly arranged a quiet room for him to continue his class and promised to hold a room for us. We finally checked in at 2 PM, and true to their word, the room they reserved had an excellent view, allowing us to watch the entire parade comfortably from our room. 2. The bellhop was incredibly diligent; seeing I had a lot of luggage, he proactively helped me with everything. His service attitude was excellent throughout, and we even received a small welcome gift upon check-in. While the hotel's facilities aren't brand new, they are impeccably clean. The hotel's price was very reasonable, and there are also countless great restaurants and attractions nearby. Overall, it's a fantastic value-for-money hotel that I would highly recommend to any friends visiting Beijing. It was a truly delightful and incredibly satisfying stay. Many thanks to all the staff for their professional and thoughtful service.

This is the perfect hotel for you to rest up when exploring the city, it’s nothing fancy but then again you get what you pay for, some rooms are quite small with no windows but then again it’s very likely that you won’t be spending much time in a hotel room instead of exploring the city. Now locating the hotel can be a bit difficult but there’s lots of famous clubs around, so you can enter one of the clubs name and ask any guards you might find by the gate and they’ll gladly help you. And yes they do accept foreigners

We had an excellent stay at the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, despite the language barrier, always showing kindness and a warm attitude. The housekeeping service was impeccable: towels, bathrobes, and bed sheets were changed every day, which is very much appreciated. We truly felt well taken care of throughout our stay. I highly recommend this hotel for its professionalism, comfort, and the quality of its service. We will definitely come back!

Before check-in, private concierge Danika proactively added me on WeChat to ask about my stay and introduce the hotel's facilities and restaurants. The room was well-maintained, and they provided a generous welcome amenity. The bedding was very comfortable, and the hotel's location is great, right next to Wangfujing. At check-out, Danika specially wrote a card wishing me a smooth journey to my next destination 🥹. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I have the chance.

Very good location to go forbidden city Tiananmen Square and Line 8 QianYuHuTong Subway. Not good when we are housed to room 107 for 7 nights which is at the back yard outside the main hall. The room is very noisy as hotel guests are stepping very hard when accessing the metal stairs just right outside the room. The shower area is very slippery maybe due to soap stains not washed regularly. There is also no shower screen and water can run outside shower area and wet the whole toilet. 👎
