Dubai International Airport (DXB) is one of the world's busiest airports for international traffic, and its lounge network reflects that scale. Terminal 3 is exclusively Emirates and hosts some of the most spectacular airline lounges in the world, including the Emirates First Class Lounge with its own boarding gates. Terminal 1 handles most other international airlines and offers Marhaba, Ahlan, Cathay Pacific, British Airways, and other well regarded lounges. Paid entry starts at around AED 200 (around $55) at Marhaba, most lounges include hot food and showers, and several operate 24 hours. About Dubai International Airport (DXB)
Dubai International Airport is Emirates' global hub and the world's busiest airport for international passengers, handling over 90 million travelers at peak years. DXB has three terminals, connected by a free interterminal shuttle.
- Terminal 1. International terminal used by most non Emirates international airlines including British Airways, Cathay Pacific, KLM, Air France, Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines, and others.
- Terminal 2. Regional and low cost terminal, primarily used by flydubai, Air India Express, and select regional carriers.
- Terminal 3. Exclusively Emirates and its codeshare partner Qantas. The largest airport terminal in the world by floor area, spread across three concourses (A, B, C).
If you're flying Emirates or Qantas, you'll be at Terminal 3. If you're flying almost any other international airline, you'll be at Terminal 1. If you're flying flydubai, you'll be at Terminal 2. Confirm your terminal on your boarding pass before heading to the airport.

Emirates Skywards Silver Lounge Access
Emirates Skywards Silver members and Qantas Frequent Flyer Gold members have limited paid access to business class lounges (AED 200, around $55) but not to First Class lounges.

Swissôtel Al Murooj is a beautiful hotel with a stunning backdrop of the Dubai skyline. We enjoyed strolling around the area in the evening. It was peaceful, quiet, and felt very safe.
The pool area is one of the highlights of the hotel. It’s clean, beautifully designed with waterfalls, and incredibly Instagram-worthy. A tip for anyone staying here: if you want an amazing top-view photo of the pool, take it from the elevator window. The view is absolutely stunning!

helpful, especially Yaseer, Elsayed, Sandeep and the lady at the breakfast reception. I’d like to give special recognition to Yaseer, who consistently greeted every guest with genuine warmth and kindness. His excellent hospitality really stood out and made our stay even more enjoyable. While most of the staff were pleasant, a few could be a bit more welcoming with a smile, as small gestures like that can make guests feel even more at home.
Our room was very spacious, comfortable, and filled with beautiful natural sunlight in the morning, making it a wonderful place to relax.

Had a great stay at SLS Dubai. The Signature Room with the balcony was fantastic—spacious, modern, and offered an incredible panoramic view of the Dubai skyline. Check in was smooth and was attended by Rash. She was courteous and helpful in getting the room. Was given a room on a higher floor facing partial Dubai frame. The soap etc is very poor quality and bed sheets not white, something not expected of such hotel.
Bikash at concierge was rude and I feel need training on customer relations. Gave him the card and instead of handing back, he just placed on the table. Valet parking was also slow and disorganised. Imagine waiting 30 mins just for them to pick up the car. I don't see this in Sofitel Downtown or the JW Marriot.

Great hotel which I had the pleasure of staying in 2 years ago so was more than happy to be staying here again.
Staff were all great, with fantastic facilities. My only gripe would be with the parking situation and not always being able to find a spot, but it’s fine to leave your car parked along the side and leave keys with reception in case they need to move it.

The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with a large bed and all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel staff were professional, friendly, and always ready to assist. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient.
The location is convenient, providing easy access to major attractions, shopping areas, and transportation. The facilities were well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was welcoming and luxurious.

We stayed at Gevora for a total of about 12 nights in the summer of 2026. The place offered excellent value for money. The hotel boasts amazing city views and a good pool area. It's especially nice to visit the pool in the evening when the city lights are visible and the pool is beautifully illuminated. Special thanks go to the excellent pool staff and the porter, Deepak, who were incredibly friendly and provided outstanding, five-star service. We also received excellent service at the reception and were able to easily change rooms when the first one wasn't to our liking. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the person who handled it.
The hotel breakfast was adequate, but after just over a week, it started to get monotonous as the selection isn't very extensive. Still, for the price, it was of a good standard. The hotel's overall appearance is basic and clean, but the rooms show some minor wear and tear and are partly in need of a refresh. If you book a high-floor room, be prepared for a 10-15 minute elevator ride.
The best aspects of the hotel are its location (close to the city center and Deira souks) and its staff. Right next to the hotel, there's an ATM, a pharmacy, a barber, and a grocery store, so all your essential needs are conveniently and quickly met.
Overall, the hotel offers excellent value for money, as long as you remember you're not in a five-star establishment. I can recommend it for budget-to-mid-range travel.FromUS$75

1. The hotel rooms are quite spacious, but the facilities are outdated. The showerhead in the bathroom was leaking; when I used the hand-held shower, cold water kept dripping from the overhead shower, which was very uncomfortable.
2. The hygiene was poor. Upon checking in, I surprisingly found a pile of insect carcasses in the bathtub and some unidentified hairs on the bed. After I reported it, the housekeeping staff promptly came to clean. For the rest of my stay, they paid special attention to cleaning the bathroom, and I didn't see any more insects.
3. The hotel breakfast was very disappointing, with almost no Asian food options. I had to fill up on bread. The variety of fruits was also limited.
4. The hotel is quite far from the commercial district, and there are no shopping or dining options nearby, which is inconvenient. The only upside is its proximity to the airport.FromUS$109

Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown is my favorite hotel near Business Bay, Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa. I love the stylish design and beautiful Arabic-inspired details. Excellent location if you want to be close to the metro, Dubai Mall, and Museum of the Future, all within walking distance. There's a supermarket in the underground mall across the street (not under the hotel). Fantastic views from the nearly floor-to-ceiling windows with wide stone sills. The rooftop offers postcard-perfect views of the Burj Khalifa and Sheikh Zayed Road. The rooms have a large fridge with a freezer in the kitchen; ours wasn't working, and they immediately brought a new one. There's an Indian restaurant and a club on the upper floors of the hotel. The breakfast in the restaurant is decent, you won't go hungry, and the staff is helpful. Outdoor parking is available. They don't provide transportation to the beach. However, there was a discrepancy regarding dinner; the front desk and the restaurant staff told us different things. We were initially told both the second and third-floor restaurants were options. When we went to the second floor, they said no, and it took some back-and-forth communication to resolve it. Then, at the third-floor restaurant, they also said no, despite the front desk confirming it was fine. We went back to the third-floor restaurant, and again, they refused. Practical Tips for Dubai Airport Lounges
- Confirm your terminal first. DXB has three terminals in different physical locations. Lounge access at the wrong terminal cannot be used. Emirates and Qantas passengers go to Terminal 3, other international to Terminal 1, flydubai to Terminal 2.
- Emirates lounges cannot be accessed by non Emirates passengers. Even Priority Pass Prestige does not grant access. If you want to visit an Emirates lounge, you need an Emirates ticket or Skywards status.
- Terminal 3 lounges offer direct boarding. Emirates First and Business Class Lounges at Concourse A allow you to walk directly onto A380 aircraft without going to the gate. This is a rare and genuinely useful feature.
- Book showers on arrival. Even at premium lounges, shower rooms can queue during peak periods (late night departure waves). Ask at reception when you enter.
- Marhaba is the reliable Priority Pass option. Located at all three terminals with consistent quality and 24 hour operation.
- Ahlan is the upgrade if Marhaba is crowded. The Business tier is significantly quieter and offers better food and shower facilities.
- Middle Eastern hospitality standards apply. Dubai lounges are typically more spacious and better staffed than equivalent tier lounges in Europe or Asia.
- Layovers of 3+ hours pay off. DXB lounges are among the best value for a long layover, with 24 hour operation and shower access particularly useful for trans continental travelers.
