The hotel totally surprised us with a free upgrade to a spacious 3-bedroom apartment! It had everything we needed, including a washer and dryer. The receptionist and bell boy were super friendly and helpful. Checking out was a breeze too. Just a heads up, the hotel doesn’t provide toothbrush, shaving kit, or cotton pads. You might need to ask the receptionist if you need them.

The room amenities were average. However, the service was outstanding; they even served à la carte breakfast items directly to our table. The food quality was also superb, and the spa was absolutely top-tier. The view from the rooftop pool was equally breathtaking. I had initially thought the room rate was a bit high, but after my stay, I felt it offered great value for money.

Superb location in the heart of oldtown with all major streets and sights at walking distance, overlooking the famous Hoan Kiem Lake. Hotel has all the service standards of a proper 5-star. Stayed 1 night, went on a cruise, and skipped the JW in favor of returning here again for the sake of convenience exploring Hanoi and its sights. Comfortable beds and decent showers. The hotel's location is truly unbeatable, right in the prime downtown area. It's incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. The breakfast, in particular, stood out with its wide variety and delicious options. The freshly made omelets and waffles were especially impressive, definitely setting you up for a fantastic day. However, we've also taken note of two minor issues you pointed out: Firstly, some of the facilities are indeed showing their age, such as the noticeable wear on the lobby sofas. Secondly, the lack of complimentary bottled water in the room was a bit inconvenient. We've already forwarded your suggestions to the hotel management. We understand they are planning renovations and upgrades, and complimentary water options will be available soon! In fact, the hotel recently upgraded all mattresses to incredibly comfortable ones, and many guests have reported a noticeable improvement in sleep quality. If you visit again, we highly recommend trying their Executive Floor, which was just renovated last year and features a 24-hour complimentary beverage bar! Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We are committed to continuous improvement to ensure every guest enjoys a more comfortable stay.

Perfect little touch for my husband’s birthday. The staffs were accommodating and very professional. Reception was great too. We arrived about 8pm and we didn’t have to wait long before the Check in process was completed, was ushered to a relaxing and comfortable room soon after. The room is spacious and basic amenities was there. I definitely enjoyed the pool but the jacuzzi has not been working for the entire time of my stay. There was no attendant to ask questions too though. Overall stay was comfortable. Breakfast was great such a lovely spread.

My previous stay at the Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Aswan left me with a profound impression of the Sofitel Legend brand. This Sofitel Legend in Hanoi, compared to the one in Cairo, feels relatively new and has a more compact overall layout. Its location right by Hoan Kiem Lake is extremely convenient. The hotel is divided into an old wing and a new wing, each with its own check-in reception. The old wing is steeped in history and exudes a strong French colonial charm. However, the rooms in the old wing primarily face the street, resulting in limited views. There are only three 'Legendary Celebrity Suites,' with the Chaplin and Maugham suites being the most renowned. They aren't permanent exhibits but are available for booking. I had a chance to tour the Chaplin Suite; it wasn't particularly spacious and lacked a balcony. The service was excellent. Our initial double room didn't have a bathtub, but after informing the front desk, they quickly made adjustments. All arrangements, including the extra bed, were handled perfectly, ensuring a very comfortable stay. Guests staying in the old wing enjoy complimentary afternoon tea and cocktails. The afternoon tea was particularly exquisite. Breakfast is served in the garden restaurant, which offers a more lavish spread compared to the other two dining options. However, the attitude of some restaurant staff was rather mediocre.

It was terrible visit I stayed 2 nights and every single morning they start the construction for renovation or something(I don't know well actually) The problem is that the noise is too loud to sleep with drilling and hammering sound. The manager of the hotel, gave me some options like move to other room or a little more sleep at other room But, the issue was they don't have any will to stop doing that construction If the hotel has any plan for reconstruction or any related plan, then they should have noticed But they did nothing but saying sorry

We recently stayed at Hanoi Landmark 72 and had a pleasant overall experience. The service was attentive, and the city views from our room were spectacular—especially at night. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety of local and international dishes, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, we did notice that some facilities (such as the fitness center and room furnishings) are starting to show signs of aging and could use some updates. Despite this, the hotel’s prime location and efficient service made our stay enjoyable. With a bit of refurbishment, this could easily be a top-tier hotel in Hanoi again. We’d consider staying here in the future, especially if some upgrades are made.

I had an issue with the hot water in my room, and then with the staff member who came to fix it. However, the manager understood the situation and handled it with care and professionalism. One thing that could definitely be improved is the ”no windows room”. While technically there is a small window, it doesn’t face anything and lets in a lot of light at night, which can be disturbing to sleep at night. My recent stay at the Grand K Hotel Suites Hanoi from June 30 to July 3 was a tale of two halves, but ultimately a very positive experience. While the location was not the strongest point, every other aspect of the hotel was truly exceptional. The location, which I rated as an ”okay” 3 out of 5, was decent but didn't quite place us in the heart of the city's action. It was functional for getting around, but travelers looking to be right next to the main sights might find it a little out of the way. Despite this, it was a peaceful area and offered a nice break from the hustle and bustle. Where the hotel truly shined was in every other category. The cleanliness was absolutely superb, earning a perfect 5 out of 5 rating. The Deluxe Room was spotless, well-maintained, and had a fresh feel throughout our entire stay. As for the room, mine faced the main street, which was a bit noisy, but that seems quite common in Vietnam. In terms of facilities, the building has only two elevators for guests, which can be a bit frustrating due to the wait times. The swimming pool was great, and it’s definitely a popular spot for photos. Initially, I thought the gym was open 24 hours, but it actually closes at 10:30 PM. Our room was with the balcony overlooking the golf course. Good thing, that it's only 10 minutes walk to the golf course to play. Good thing about the hotel is that there is a heated swimming pool and jacuzzi. For vegans it's not the place to stay, because all dishes out of the menu are veggies and tofu (only by request). The staff is nice, helpful, but apart from the manager and one waiter no one speaks English at all. Also, they give breakfast vouchers and some days, there's no buffet but just dishes to order (again for vegans there's only cornflakes with soy milk). The hotel staff is mostly young, with few veterans. However, all of them are incredibly kind and attentive to details. They always greet guests. Although the hotel has only been open for a short time, I found their welcoming and hospitable attitude to be truly impressive. The hotel's location is about a 15-minute walk from the old town. There were no stores nearby open at night, making the area feel a little lonely. The nearest convenience store is a Circle K, about a 5-minute walk away. The only downside is the facilities. The wallpaper inside the elevator is scratched. The room had a chemical smell (like glue?) on the first day. It wasn't noticeable on the second day. The shower water pressure and temperature were good. The door separating the shower toilet from the room is a double-door, and because it doesn't fit properly, it doesn't close properly. The shower also doesn't drain well. If you shower for a long time, the water tends to overflow into the toilet. I reported the drainage issue to the reception staff twice, but the information was not properly conveyed to the facilities manager and no improvement was made, so I had to open the drain cover and flush the water. I stayed at the nearby Melia Hotel two months ago, but the price difference between the two was 4,000 JPY per night. I felt that in order to attract more guests with this quality, the price would have to be around 10,000 JPY cheaper than the Melia Hotel. I hope the management will make an effort to improve the prices. Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to all the staff who assisted me during my stay. Thank you. I had a very good stay.

And when I also enter Restaurant for Breakfast.. no one explain proactively they are serving Ala Carte. I was embarrased with the poor basic set up and when I sit down .. staff told me i need to choose some menu. Its was a bit hard to find the check in lobby and the lobby was not really like hotel.

From the time we stepped through the doors the service was excellent. We arrived and was surprised with a complimentary afternoon tea as your are checked in . Then the reception explains the map of the area and gives us a list of must try restaurants - and the recommendations are great ! Rooms are big - we got the family room - the bed and sheets and covers are sooooo nice . Love the deep bathtub . We don’t really have a view but it’s totally fine. Love the bath salts and shampoo scent The location is off the busy street which is great , there’s a pharmacy next door . Everything is a max 10 mins taxi ride . Easy to get a grab The service and hospitality of the staff is amazing and we’ve been to some other well known 5 stars but do not get the same level of service ! Now let’s move to breakfast OMG . Big shout out to Keith and Hannie who made a whole lot of difference . The buffet is only one row but the variety of local and western is great, I love the fresh fruit juices, love love love the cream caramel which is even better than the famous ones on the street . Love the pho . I sprained my ankle while on the street and Keith offered to go to the famous cream caramel to buy me one to try (how sweet of him for offering) , Hannie offered to take my breakfast up to my room for me the next day and the manager at the hotel and reception was so concerned and offered doctors and ice. The level of attentiveness and hospitality really is genuine . The decor is lovely and if there is one thing to fault is that the pool is not ready ! But we will be back . Thanks for making our trip wonderful

The hotel with a pool was nice, and the location near Hoan Kiem Lake was great. A different hotel appears when I search on Google, but it seems the previous name was Hanoi Golden Hotel. One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Located in the heart of old quarter it’s very convenient to roam around the area. The staff are extremely hospitable they even go beyond their ways to help service you. Specially the front desk, they are very warm and welcoming. The only draw back is that the soap and shampoo was not automatically replaced on the next day, but it was a minor detail. The restaurant staff are also extremely attentive, I find it a bit weird that the egg station is enclosed and you need to tell the waiter that you want to order eggs and Pho as it’s not readily available, but it’s forgivable as their Pho is really delicious. Also the waiters are really great. The room is also immaculate. It’s clean and spacious enough. The pool is quite small but it’s already enough to enjoy a quick dip and have a nice overview of the city. One downside is that they do not have a full gym, they do have an exercise room but it’s just a make shift extra room from the spa. So if you are looking for a hotel with a gym then don’t keep your hopes up. All in all it’s definitely a great place to stay in Hanoi, definitely value for money.

Recently I spent 3 nights in Sapa and before returning to Singapore, spent a night in Hanoi at the La Siesta Boutique Hotel. The experience was a great one.  When we checked in, Ms Huyen Anh attended to us. She was conversant in both English and Chinese and took our questions patiently and answered them well. I feel she is a gem to the hotel. On the next day, my missus misplaced her Hp in the Grab taxi on the way to the hotel but we were able to recover the Hp both through the help of the staff in the Red Bean Restaurant (which was housed on the 11th floor of the hotel) as well as the hotel staff including Ms Huyen Anh. The food at the Red Bean Restaurant was another thing altogether. Not only was the food great, the service was top notch too. We ended up having our dinner, breakfast and lunch there. I wish to thank both the staff of the La Siesta Hanoi and the Red Bean Restaurant for their great service and hospitality. Both the hotel and the restaurant have big Hearts.

This is a hidden gem in the midst of the old quarter. A part of Hanoi where a myriad of shops selling a huge range of goods exists next to Hanoi's seemingly endless coffee shops. In very European architecture These small shops are bustling throughout the day. The hotel is nestled comfortably up a side street accessible via both stress, though only one is used by taxis. The staff are extremely friendly and make it their business to ensure the traveller is well looked after. Rooms are clean and come with a stocked fridge with Beer and soft drinks. The air conditioning is superb and in near 40C heat it is so welcoming. The balcony is large. Almost a second room in itself. Sit on the balcony in the evening during a thunder storm and watch the light show in the night sky...tremendous. With the balcony walls being solid, privacy is guaranteed as is safety...not going to fall off this. Breakfast is a pleasant mix of western and Asian. Cold cuts or cooked food. Eggs done by the chef to order. The hotel has a small travel desk so do ask about places to visit. Staff are very knowledgeable. Top tip: get the GRAB or BE app to book your taxis and avoid cab hailing....the risk of being scammed is very high. One final thought...not far is Railway Street. I won't spoli it....go and find out what happens. Get a daily timetable of trains. It is an experience. Highly recommended.

We picked this hotel due to its location. There’s no doubt coz everything - good restaurants, salon, pharmacy, etc are all so nearby. We were greeted and welcomed by Jenny. Jenny took time to brief through their services, quick introduction of what’s in the vicinity etc before bringing us to our room. I was impatient coz I cld not wait to check out the room. But one would appreciate such efforts from a boutique hotel. Room and toilet sizes are ok. We were told this hotel has the most decent sizes which is true and also the reason why we hv shortlisted this hotel. But we were disappointed that the furnishings were so dated. Orientation of the room is weird that we need to figure out how to place our luggages, etc. And the family room has no side table for us to eat in. The 2 big beds were the only bonus. We were delighted with a smart TV but could not access TV channels for 3 nights out of 5 nights booked. We only reported on the 3rd day am. Thereafter, Jenny, Jimmy and the team made conscious efforts to remediate and update the issue. Breakfast selection is decent with daily changes of desserts or sweets. We love the home made Yogurt. The food standard is slightly above average when compared to 4-5 stars hotel. Sky bar menu is not bad, and the staffs were superb friendly. Overall, the service from this hotel is excellent. Special mention to Jenny and Jimmy for their outstanding hospitality and sincerity. We hope to visit this place again after it’s renovated.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right in the heart of a bustling tourist area. It's incredibly close to the Cathedral, Hoan Kiem Lake, and Train Street. Plus, there are numerous highly-rated restaurants nearby offering French-Vietnamese fusion, sticky rice, pho, coffee, desserts, and banh mi – super convenient! While the rooms aren't large, they are beautifully and tastefully decorated, and impeccably clean. I stayed in a duplex room, which featured two small balconies. I even brought my own drying line, which was handy for hanging clothes. The staff all speak English, so communication was seamless. I was also granted a one-hour late checkout. Given the hot weather, drinking water was readily available daily, with unlimited refills whenever requested. I really enjoyed the restaurant on the ninth floor; it had a great ambiance and delicious food. Their daily noodle soup was a must-try for me. Here, I had the best pineapple and jackfruit I've ever tasted. Evenings were lovely, enjoying the night view and a cool breeze from the 10th floor. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again if I get the chance. For reference, three of us stayed for four nights, and the total cost was just over 6,700 (including taxes, an extra bed, and breakfast).

On a recent trip to Hanoi, my stay at the King's Ensemble SPA Hotel was absolutely fantastic! The hotel is housed in an old French colonial building, exuding a strong Indochinese charm, and looks incredibly captivating from the outside. Stepping into the lobby, the exquisite decor immediately caught my eye, giving it a very stylish and sophisticated feel. I booked a windowless room and was initially worried it might feel a bit claustrophobic, but to my surprise, the room was impeccably clean with no hint of dampness or musty odors whatsoever, making for a very comfortable stay. The TV was a Samsung with excellent picture quality, perfect for relaxing and watching shows in the evening. The service from the staff here is simply outstanding. From the front desk to the restaurant, everyone spoke excellent English, making communication seamless. The restaurant even had staff who spoke Chinese, which was a thoughtful touch. We arrived quite early, and since there was an available room, the staff kindly allowed us to check in early. Initially, I had a bit of trouble figuring out how to use the hot water tap, and they immediately dispatched a technician to assist me – their efficiency was impressive! You absolutely *must* visit the sky bar on the hotel's top floor! The views are incredible, offering stunning panoramic cityscapes. What's more, the prices are very reasonable. Enjoying a drink while feeling the evening breeze up there is pure bliss. Breakfast was also excellent, with a special menu each day, and I left feeling very satisfied. The hotel's location is also incredibly convenient, right by Hoan Kiem Lake. It's very close to the Old Quarter and the 36 Streets, all within easy walking distance. Right next door is a popular beef noodle shop, and just a short stroll away are the famous Uniqlo flagship store in a historic building and St. Joseph's Cathedral, making it incredibly convenient for dining, shopping, and sightseeing. Overall, my stay at King's Ensemble SPA Hotel was truly exceptional. Next time I visit Hanoi, I will definitely choose to stay here again!

The hotel is tucked away in an alley, so cars can't drive right up to it. Although there's an elevator, you still have to climb about 5-6 steps to get to the room. However, there was one significant drawback. But bad cellular. Minimal breakfast downstairs that is Indian food afterwards. Many India guests also. Annoying that breakfast ends early at 9:30am. They had no working phone number listed here or on Google, and didn't answer prior email, so no airport pickup. Tho arranged dropoff at airport. TV service is not digital so all noisy signal. The hotel is very close to the airport. It's on the smaller side, but the cleanliness was generally decent. I chose it because I had an early morning flight the next day, which really helped cut down on travel time to the airport. The next morning, to avoid being overcharged by a taxi, I decided to walk to the terminal with my rolling luggage. It's just under a kilometer and took me about 20 minutes. If you're sensitive to the sun or prefer not to walk, you can easily use Grab or ask the front desk to arrange a taxi for you. The walk really is very short, though you might encounter drivers on the way offering you a ride.

It's in a nice and quiet street slightly outside the Old Quarter. Within a local community, there are some local amenities including street stalls, cafe, eateries and hair salon all within 1-3 minutes walk. <CON> 1. Housekeeper rang the doorbell at 09:30 and came into the room to check whether we had any laundry to send in. 2. No handheld shower available. Only an old-fashion fixed shower head. 3. Too dim the room (room 603) at night. But the other room (room 705) which is of the same size and type has more lights and is better lit. 4. I initially booked 1 week at the hotel and then extended my stay there for another week. The purpose of my trip was buisness related and so the hotel served well. The staff were really polite and helpful. The reception staff were always warm and welcoming, the house keeping worked well with cleaning the room while I was out and around my schedule and the kitchen staff at breakfast were really lovely, especially Phomg, I hope I've spelled that correctly. Every morning, he would greet me with a warm welcome and assist me with finding a lovely seat at breakfast. He quite quickly learned my orders and would always have my coffer waiting at my table and order my omelette for me, which was really sweet. The service there was great. The location is just a short walk, maybe 13 mins to Old Quarters. One thing I'd say needs an update is the gym. Thanks, Mr Hau, Mr Viet & Mr Gang for making this the highlight of our trip. When we were told our room was not ready due to some maintenance work, we were offered some alternatives, and in the end, our room got upgraded to a VIP room. The crew handled the situation with extreme professionalism and made sure the guest was in good hands. We felt the passion and hospitality they provided. Thanks for all the arrangements. Great location, right in the middle of the old quarter. Lots of eateries and shops around the area. Very convenient to access and to go all popular places, like the train street, Dong Xuan Market, Hoan Kiem Lake etc. Right beside the hotel, there is a tik tok popular dessert shop. Hotel staff, Anna and Peter, are professional, helpful and friendly. They will assist you in booking Grab, arrange restaurant reservation. They will guide you where to go for good food and spa too :). Price is decent and you couldn't be asking for more.

The room was spacious enough, had a window, and was bright, with no noise or insects, and although it was reasonably priced, I was glad I was able to spend my time there without any trouble! The water pressure in the shower and the wind pressure in the hair dryer were strong! However, the cleaning was not done properly in some places, the air conditioner was covered with tissue paper (although it was still operational), the indirect lighting was broken, the amenity case seemed to have been left unattended, and one of the pillowcases had not been washed. I felt like it wasn't done... There was also no soundproofing, so I was concerned about the noise of other guests' activities and the baby's cries at night. However, the basic facilities were good and I didn't feel any inconvenience, so I can highly recommend this hotel to travelers who want to keep their stay within this price range!

The room was smaller than expected but still managed. For some reason, the water pressure drops  at night and the hot water gets really hot.  We got the highest floor which is on the 8th floor. The reception is on the 2nd floor. You will have to carry your luggage up to the 8th floor.  The hotel is right in the heartbeat of Old Quarter. Lots of eateries, restaurants and massage parlours. 450k for an hour massage is on the high side. You can get a Vietnamese Massage for 250k for an hour as you walk away from the hotel. Be adventurous and try the road stalls. They are the best, cheap and amazing taste. Please try their egg coffee. I must warn that they are absolutely addictive.  Hotel staff are phenomenally and wonderfully helpful. Look for Ms. Vy who is just so informative and thorough. This hotel is so convenient that it is just walking distance to all the tourist attractions. No need for any form of transportation unless you wanna try their trishaw rides. It should not cost you more than 50k a person if you’re just heading to specific locations.

I was quite disappointed with this hotel, however it is cheap, in a good location and the front desk spoke good English Overall the hotel and rooms are a bit dilapidated and need more attention and investment - the rain shower needed a good descale, bathroom sink had a big crack mark in it, mattress springs were noticeable, one of the complimentary water bottles had been half drunk by a previous guest and the TV didn't work. Also breakfast wasn't great and I didn't each much, but luckily there were other options in the area. Title: An Unforgettable Stay at Alicia Hotel and Spa: A Gem in Hanoi Review: I recently had the pleasure of staying at Alicia Hotel and Spa during my visit to Hanoi, and I cannot express enough how impressed I was with every aspect of my experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt like a valued guest, and I knew that my stay would be truly memorable. First and foremost, the rooms at Alicia Hotel and Spa are absolutely fantastic. Spacious and elegantly designed, they provide a sense of comfort and relaxation that is unparalleled. The attention to detail is remarkable, and the large, comfortable beds offer a blissful night's sleep after a day of exploring the city. One of the highlights of Alicia Hotel and Spa is its incredibly convenient location. Situated in the heart of Hanoi, it allows easy access to all the attractions and cultural landmarks, making it an ideal choice for both leisure and business travelers. Whether you wish to immerse yourself in the vibrant streets or seek out tranquil spots, everything is just a stone's throw away. What truly sets Alicia Hotel and Spa apart is the exceptional level of service provided by the staff, and in particular, the manager named Rose. Her warm and genuine hospitality created a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. This place is shabby as a whole. The photos are much nicer than the reality. Sheets are stained. I wouldn't say that the breakfast is awful but it isn't good either. The AC works semi decently but makes a lot of random noises. The redeeming points about this place are that the staff are very nice and it is a great location for walking everywhere while still being a quiet place to sleep. I will emphasize though that the reception staff are incredibly kind and helpful and I place no blame on them whatsoever. I would say there is nothing spectacular about this place but nothing truly horrifying either. I decided to switch to another hotel for the same price and I prefer it much more since it comes without any of the negatives listed above.

The staff in this hotel were excellent! From welcoming us with some welcome drinks and fruit, to politely going through our booking details with us (as there was a mix up about payment) and even looking after our bags for a night (as we spent one evening in a village a little way out from Hanoi and returned to the hotel the day after). Of course the rooms, cleanliness and breakfast were also fantastic - and the only reason for rating the location as a 4 is owing to the fact that as it is centrally located in the Old Town, it can get quite noisy at night. In fairness, the hotel accomodated this by ensuring guests were placed in rooms further away from the noisy street (and with double windows), but it is something to bear in mind. We didnt mind of course - you cant expect to be in the midst of it all, and at the same time expect pure silence!

The hotel is located next to Hoan Kiem Lake in the old city. It is a 3-minute walk away. It is very convenient to go for a walk in Hoan Kiem Lake in the morning or evening. The bus stop No. 14 is also nearby. You can go to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum/One Pillar Pagoda, West Lake/Then Quoc Pagoda. It takes 6 stops and the ticket is 7,000 VND/ People, the hotel's buffet breakfast is on the 9th floor, overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake. It is comfortable to eat. You can order chicken shredded rice noodles for breakfast. It is more delicious than outside restaurants. Recommended. The room is not big, but it is well-furnished. The hotel can arrange transportation to the airport, but the price is higher at 700,000 VND/ If you want a car, download GRAB and take a taxi for only 320,000 VND. There are many coffee shops next to Hoan Kiem Lake. It is recommended to sit on the 4th floor or above to have a unique view of Hoan Kiem Lake.

Initially they gave us a different smaller room which we did not book, but then they quickly corrected their oversight and gave us the right room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was probably the best we had on our vietnam trip. There is no elevator so you have to climb a lot of stairs if your room is up on the 5th floor. They also arrange group tours and airport cabs so you can check with them. There is a language barrier with a few of the staff but they really make up for it by being super helpful.

I stayed here for two nights, arriving just a day after Typhoon Yagi had passed. The check-in process was smooth and easy, and I was impressed by the cleanliness of the room and the pleasant atmosphere. Since I was here for work, the room had a study desk, which provided a cozy and comfortable environment for me to get my tasks done. On the second day, it was raining, and I had an urgent meeting with my colleagues. The owner was kind enough to let us use the lobby to work, which I really appreciated, as she didn’t have to. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Hanoi. As a bonus, it's within walking distance to many attractions, and I love their focus on eco-friendliness and sustainability. There is breakfast on the 7th floor, there are restaurants everywhere more than 100 meters away, and there is a cafe at the door, a good place for leisure. The fly in the ointment is that the perfume in the room smells too strong, and I personally don't like it or adapt to it. It is recommended that the hotel make improvements. The location of the hotel is only ten minutes away from the city center on the 72nd floor, and it is convenient to take a taxi. It is worth recommending to stay again.

Secondly, I must give a special shout-out to the breakfast – a wide variety of options, a great mix of Asian and Western cuisine, and new dishes every day. Whether it was the local pho, baguettes, or fresh tropical fruits, everything was delicious and completely exceeded my expectations. The only downside is that the room does not have an external lock, that is, the room cannot be locked when I go out to play. It is a bit unsafe. The breakfast is delicious and offers a variety of warm options, including traditional Vietnamese Pho, breads, fruits, and salad. The location of the hotel is convenient. It’s not in the old quarter, but it’s still within walking distance of many attractions. You can walk to Old Qaurter/Hoan Kiem Lake in about 20 minutes, where you’ll find a variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants (and night markets on Friday, Saturday, Sunday). The prices in the area close to hotel are also lower than in the old quarter that sometimes is tourist-focused; such as Che Xoan Quan. Likewise West Lake (Ho Truc Bach), is about a 15-minute walk from the hotel which can be good for a stroll or a relaxing day of cafes, such as Oleoleo cat cafe.

The TV didn't work. Other than that, it was an excellent room with nothing to complain about. The area around the hotel was quite dangerous, but the restaurant seemed very peaceful, even though the owner and guests seemed very unsafe. I went to a nearby store to buy some shochu, but the staff told me about another store, but it was closed. The staff opened some shochu from home, put it in a bottle, and shared it with me.

The room simply looked cute. Even the lighting design was cute when I lay down in bed. The hallways and lobby were also cute. I stayed in a Superior Single room for three nights after Independence Day in September as a single woman. The Superior Single room has twin beds and an exterior window. The view outside the window isn't spectacular, but it does give you a glimpse into the attics of the houses in the old town. I didn't see any other Japanese guests. The front desk staff were very hospitable. After check-out on the fourth day, they stored my luggage for me until my night flight, and they also let me use the bathroom on the first floor and an outlet to charge my smartphone. They were patient with my poor English, and whenever I emailed them from the room, they replied promptly and clearly. My room was pleasantly prepared every day. As a new hotel, I was worried about being bitten by tropical insects, as I didn't have any experience, but even though there were no screens, I only saw two small gnats-like creatures. Maybe I brought them in from outside. There was no unpleasant smell. Two small bottles of water were provided free of charge. The following were slightly different from what I expected: - This was an area of the Old Town with particularly heavy morning and evening rush hours. This street is mainly lined with hardware stores. - There was no security deposit box in the room. - Staff said they could look after my suitcase, but I locked it away. - There was no toilet paper holder. - The hotel itself had no dining options. - There was a small cafe across the street, so that wasn't a problem. - No conditioner. - The room had a window facing the hallway, so I could see into my room from the hallway. - There were curtains that could be closed. - The hallway was stylish with an open ceiling, but it could be noisy at times unless all the rooms were quiet. - Earplugs were enough to keep it quiet.

I rented this place on Airbnb from August 22–31, 2025, room 602. Everything was cool. It wasn’t perfect, but I loved this place until I left food on the kitchen counter… and you probably guessed it, the next thing I knew, there was an army of ants. They were coming from under the silicone, which wasn’t completely sealed near the sink. The owner offered me to put some ant killer, but at this point, after seeing 100+ ants, there was no way I was staying. And every exterminator will tell you that you don’t kill ants just by putting down some product, you have to find the source/nest. Anyway, Airbnb contacted the owner and offered me a 50% refund for the remaining unstayed nights, which was a take it or leave it kind of deal, so I agreed. If I’m not mistaken, there were 5 nights left. This was my first time using Airbnb, so I have no idea if the owner/Airbnb could have done better. I’m not the type to leave a bad review (a.k.a. 1 star) even after a bad experience unless i really have to,, but to be honest, a 100% full refund would have kept my mouth shut. In the end, I guess this is good for the community, and I hope this was the first time they were aware of it, because if they knew and didn’t hire an exterminator, that’s another story.

#1 Price: I have stayed in many locations in old town because I like to move around and experience different settings. At this price point; this hotel by far (after 3 different hotels) is the best choice for your hard earned money. Location: Excellent; 25 seconds walk from lake and close to all the attractions of old town. Really doesn’t get any better than this. Room: Everything works. -Large New smart TV with Netflix and YouTube -Fast WiFi/internet (can remote work) -(High ceiling and spacious) (I’m 5’8 ;see photos for reference) Many hotels around the area cut corners and make their rooms small and ceilings low to save space which can make you feel claustrophobic after a day or two. “Very important after a day out in old town with all the tight spaces / crowds and chaos.” -(Barely any street noise inside room; I’m sensitive to noise and slept like a baby) -Room cleaned everyday by staff. +Bonus points for the versatile lighting inside room; 8 different switches for different lighting options. ((Hotel Staff)) Available 24 hours Young and eager to help; very knowledgeable speaking many different languages and knows the town very well. (Don’t underestimate these young men and women.) I have never seen such hard working young individuals who have no other intention but to help you have the best stay at this establishment. (Special shout out) to “Denny” who ran out in the pouring rain to help me find my car ride to the airport because we were running late. Conclusion; Stop wasting time reading this review and book this hotel before the rooms are all taken; I was lucky to find a room since they’re mostly always booked.

Pros: room amenities ok, clean, spacious Suitable for families or multiple people to go Disadvantages: because it is in the alley, the homestay is a bit difficult, there is no duty nvien to solve the problem.

The hotel staff were genuinely some of the best I've ever encountered in all my travels, and their customer service and service recovery is top notch. Unfortunately, the breakfast and housekeeping team can be better. Breakfast crew was rude when asked about food offerings and the housekeeping team mistakenly entered the wrong room(s) multiple times. They also make quite a loud of noise by the corridor and disturbed guests staying there since the walls were very thin.

This is a great, smaller hotel. The rooms are very large and the beds are comfortable. The staff are super friendly. Taxis or Grabs are easy to get from here and there is a casino, cafe and bar on the premises. There is an ATM and a mini mart next door and a pharmacy the other way. A great location. The hotel's location is very central, close to the Pink Church, but it takes 30 minutes by taxi due to heavy traffic. Motorbikes completely block the traffic lights. Just a short walk behind the hotel is the Hilton, and there's a boat dock. Motorbikes are everywhere, making it difficult to cross the road as no one yields. The night view is prettier. I stayed with my child. The room was very old, and the floor creaked. I wouldn't recommend staying here. It's a historic place, good for a look, but for a comfortable stay, you need a newer hotel.

🌟 Mai House Saigon Review Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Date of Stay: May 29–31, 2025 We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mai House Saigon. From the elegant decor to the exceptional service, every detail felt thoughtfully curated. Our Premium King Room was spacious, peaceful, and beautifully designed — the bed was extremely comfortable, and the overall atmosphere made it easy to relax after a busy day exploring Saigon. While we didn’t try the breakfast, the Friday and Saturday night seafood buffet was absolutely outstanding. The quality and variety of dishes exceeded our expectations — from fresh prawns and oysters to expertly prepared hot dishes and desserts. It was one of the best dining experiences we had in Vietnam. The hotel’s ambiance strikes a great balance between luxury and warmth. It’s also conveniently located, making it easy to access nearby attractions and restaurants. Highly recommended — and we’ll definitely stay again on our next visit to Ho Chi Minh City.

This is a lovely and grand hotel, certainly has 5* feel, and service from the door (bell boy takes bags), you're served a welcome drink and towel. The room is large, lovely and luxurious. The bed is soft, and there's an evening 'make down' service where the staff leave a small chocolate and leave your bed cover opened and easy to climb into. The location is a 10 mins drive from downtown District 1, Grab drivers are readily available. The breakfast was lovely and had a vast selection, including cooks for custom Pho or ommlettes. I had a very comfortable stay at the myst hotel’s verdant calm balcony view. It overlooks the Times Square and you can catch a glimpse of the Nguyen hue street if you’re on a higher floor. The room was very spacious and the facilities including mattress were of quality better than other 4 star hotels. Free minibar and high tea also a plus. Everything was perfect for us as the room assigned was very well located. The same just might not be the case for other room types or those on the first few floors. An excellent hotel! The breakfast was great, with extended hours. The service was truly outstanding; the bell staff were always ready to assist with luggage and open car doors. Upon checking out for the airport, I asked them to help book a taxi via an app. I was so pleasantly surprised that the moment they met the driver, they had already communicated my destination in the local language – this was incredibly thoughtful! Plus, when my child lost their swimming goggles, they were found very quickly. The beds were spacious enough for two adults and a nine-year-old child, and the front desk didn't charge any additional fees for our child's stay. The hotel is ideally located, just across the street from Ho Chi Minh's most famous pho. It's centrally positioned in District 1, making shopping within easy walking distance, and most other attractions are just a minimum taxi fare away.

Standard rooms without any major issues that I can remember. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. I had a wonderful stay at The Odys Boutique Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. The location is excellent — it’s very close to one of the city’s attractions, the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum, which makes sightseeing super convenient. The hotel staff were all very friendly and polite, always greeting guests with a smile. I also really appreciated the free drinks and snacks available at the lobby, especially the ginger candies — a lovely touch! Although my room didn’t have a window, it was clean, comfortable, and had no unpleasant smell. The breakfast buffet offered plenty of delicious options to choose from — definitely a great way to start the day. There’s still a bit of room for improvement: the only mirror is inside the bathroom, so it would be more convenient if there were also a mirror in the bedroom area for doing skincare or makeup. The bathroom counter also has limited space for placing personal items. Additionally, while soap is provided, there isn’t a soap dish, which would be a nice addition. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay, and I would definitely recommend The Odys Boutique Hotel for anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City!
