Staff is very nice and helpful, room is clean. However it is strange that the facilities is not a really 5 star hotel, very nearly 3.5-4. Rooms are not beautiful as photo shown and looks old, even the wooden door need close carefully as it is not able to lock smoothly. Only very basic/ necessary toiletries like shampoo and soap is provided in room. no teeth brush and lotion. The room have a sign that you may ask for item by request, however frontdesk sometimes forgot and do not provide quickly. it is disappointing that is 5 star rated hotel, top 13 best hotel but not with everything we expected.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Oriental Jade Hotel, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, I was incredibly impressed by the genuine hospitality and the warm, welcoming attitude of the entire staff. Every team member I interacted with went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable, demonstrating a level of attentive, personalized service that is rare to find. A major highlight of the experience was the hotel breakfast. The food was absolutely excellent—fresh, delicious, and offering a fantastic variety to start the day off right. I really enjoyed every aspect of my stay and left feeling completely refreshed. If you are looking for a hotel with a dedicated team that truly cares about your experience, look no further. I will definitely be returning!

Very attentive. Fast and efficient staff. It was my mom’s birthday and they went above and beyond to make the day special.  The staff are all friendly . When we needed a shower chair for our senior citizen mother, within minutes it came up to our room.  I felt that this small request made us feel extemely special to them.  The door staff are so attentive and chatty. Its a good feel for making us so special.

The hotel rooms are spacious and well-equipped, though a bit old-fashioned. The bathtub isn't very practical for use, but the surrounding area is very convenient. The breakfast offers a rich variety of choices. The service is excellent, with greeters at the entrance and by the elevators. I stay here every time I visit Hanoi.

Booked this primarily for the Pullman brand, but it really only felt like a 4-star hotel. It was decent, nothing spectacular. The room was spacious, but the facilities were a bit old, the lighting was dim, and it only had a bathtub. The service, however, was excellent. The hotel's location isn't in the old town, but you can walk to places like the Temple of Literature, the Fine Arts Museum, and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum within 30 minutes. There's a Highlands Coffee right outside the hotel, and a new shopping mall just down the street.

The hotel is located right in the heart of the old quarters. It provides excellent breakfast man by a crew is very well trained and friendly staff. One particular staff, Ms phem is especially engaging as she talks to each customer, getting to know them as they come in for breakfast. She can converse in English very well too. I like their facilities such as the infinity pool, jacuzzi etc. The only negative is that during my stay, there was construction nearby, and it always happens around midnight.

This hotel was a fantastic find! The Guest Relations team was incredibly helpful, recommending great places to eat. The doorman at the front desk was also super friendly, even remembering our room number. The environment is lovely, and it's right in a lively neighborhood. If I ever come back to Hanoi, I'd definitely choose this hotel again! My dad actually stayed here previously and recommended it, and I can truly say my experience was excellent. The entrance is a bit hidden, but that didn't affect our stay at all; in fact, it made the place feel more peaceful and quiet.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Can’t do enough for you. Location was very strategic, right in the center of Old Quarters. Everything within easy walking distance. Lots of good food and massage places. Very near the lake. The waiter for breakfast was full of energy and work super fast. Would be good to have someone to help him on the floor. Just to highlight be aware there is road closure on Fridays to Sundays evenings. So if u are arriving or departing, the taxi might not be able to drop or meet you at the hotel. I just had an easy 5 minutes walk to the hotel where I arrive on Friday evening

I highly recommend the Historic Wing. When I first got into the taxi, the driver set the destination to another entrance (possibly the Opera Wing), and I was dismayed by how gaudy the decor looked inside. I only felt relieved after being taken to the Historic Wing. The breakfast was delicious, and the public areas are beautiful. The downsides are that the room was too small, and for some reason, the slippers were quite uncomfortable.

The room was spacious, and the service was very attentive; staff even helped carry our luggage to the room. The hotel's location is excellent, making shopping and dining very convenient, with a mall and supermarket nearby. There's also a small lake next to it, which is a great bonus for morning runners. Right by the lake, there's a branch of Pho 10, a famous pho restaurant that President Obama once visited. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by the rich aroma of beef broth, which is somewhat similar to the scent of Northwestern Chinese beef noodle soup, yet distinctly different. Do note that an additional tax is charged when dining here.

I'd been eyeing this hotel since last year, thinking I'd make a trip to Hanoi just for it. A week before my trip, I emailed the hotel to sort out some details, and the cake they made was exactly the flavor I requested – absolutely perfect. When I arrived, it certainly didn't disappoint. Stepping into the hotel, I was immediately enveloped by Bill Bensley's maximalist, opera-house-inspired design. Check-in coincided perfectly with afternoon tea, so I picked out a few cakes, savory bites, and drinks (highly recommend the apple cucumber kombucha). Time just flew by until the evening jazz performance; listening to the elegant jazz music and enjoying unlimited special concoctions was pure bliss. Dinner was at The Hudson Rooms on the top floor. I casually ordered a steak and an appetizer. The steak itself was a good cut, but it was a bit overcooked, so the server kindly offered me two complimentary desserts (both were delicious!). She also booked me a table at the mysterious speakeasy, Bar 61. Of course, getting in still required solving a riddle to find the key and unlock the door. There, I tried their exclusive whiskies and cocktails. I'd already lost count of how many drinks I'd had since walking into the hotel – this place truly is a paradise for dessert lovers and whiskey enthusiasts! After drinks, I returned to my room to find the turndown service complete, and a hot, bubbly bath with rose petals already drawn. I put on the hotel's jazz playlist and soaked in the tub – it was incredibly comfortable. 🥰 After a restful night, I woke up the next day for the long-awaited breakfast. It was primarily à la carte. I tried their pho, which was incredibly fresh and sweet with a generous portion of beef. The spring rolls were unbelievably soft and delicious. Even as someone who doesn't typically like coffee, their egg coffee won me over. Paired with fresh French oysters, it felt like I wouldn't need to eat for the rest of the day after that meal.

Rephrase nicely and polite please: the overall experience was good (close to the mart - reasonable price, pickball, tennis/table tennis/pool 8 balls/ and swimming on site) until s male receptionist named Hieu decided to go above and beyond to tell us that he needed to check the room. It was around 12ish. We showed him the booking via trip.com. it stated thay we have until 2pm to check out. He refused to accept it. I asked if i could speak to a manager, this big ego guy was adamant thay it will still be the same outcome and threatened if we dont check out now there will be additional fee cherged for late checkout. We went to see a manager and she confirmed indeed it was 2pm. His ego crashed and hid inside another room to get away from embarrassment. Then at 1.40pm we recieved a call from trip.com telling us that the hotel rang them to remind us to check out. We told trip.com that it was your plateform thay stated 2pm. This is well within the allowable time frame. We even told them the hotel manager confirmed it was 2pm check out. Why they simply take instructions from a guy named hieu seeking his little revenge without checking the facts. I was wondering about his motivation and why he picked on us...and how did he know we were to check out today..only a few reasons i could come up with and money is probably one of them. There was no apology or nothing but a cold look exchange. Here’s a more polished and polite version of your message while still keeping your point clear: Overall, our stay was pleasant. The location is convenient (close to the mart), the price is reasonable, and we appreciated the range of on-site facilities such as pickleball, tennis, table tennis, pool, and swimming. However, our experience was unfortunately affected by an incident with a male receptionist named Hieu. At around 12:00 pm, he approached us insisting that we check out so he could inspect the room. We showed him our booking confirmation via Trip.com, which clearly stated that our check-out time was 2:00 pm. Despite this, he refused to acknowledge it. When I politely asked to speak with a manager, he insisted that the outcome would not change and warned that we would be charged an additional fee if we did not check out immediately. We then spoke directly with the manager, who confirmed that our check-out time was indeed 2:00 pm. Later, at around 1:40 pm, we received a call from Trip.com informing us that the hotel had contacted them to remind us to check out. We clarified that our booking clearly allowed check-out until 2:00 pm and that this had already been confirmed by the hotel manager. It was disappointing that this follow-up occurred without verifying the situation properly. The situation left us feeling uncomfortable, particularly as there was no apology or clarification afterward—only a rather cold interaction. While the facilities and overall stay were enjoyable, this experience with staff communication and handling of the situation was disappointing. We were pleased with the rest of our interactions with other staff there. Thank you for your warm and welcoming service.

The facilities are complete, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff at the front desk, housekeeping, and the doorman are all incredibly friendly. The pool is a bit cold for this weather. The breakfast restaurant is a little small, but the breakfast quality is quite good. You can borrow bicycles for free, and there are a few roads nearby with less traffic that are suitable for cycling. There are quite a few unfinished buildings around West Lake. It was a bit difficult to get a taxi on the morning of Chinese New Year's Day, probably because everyone was visiting relatives ^_^ A small suggestion: it would be great if there were some instructions for the kitchen appliances. We spent a long time trying to figure out how to turn on the range hood, and a staff member eventually had to help us. It also took a while to figure out how to use the induction cooktop. Overall, it's very good.

The room is massive for 3 people ~ there are 2 toliet ,a washing machine , a dryer and a well equipped kitchen! Very clean n tidy even got a sauna and steam , big gym and a pool ! Love it ! However they need to improve in service, there are few receptionists aren’t polite and seems lost when I ask them questions . When I check in, there’s only a lady to welcome me and I have to carry the luggages on my own to the room, zero service provided. And at first there are issue with the stove and the tv , I called the receptionist for help but I waited more than 30mins still no one came. I wonder if this is due to not near city centre so the service is not as good (?) The breakfast is so-so, not ALOT of choice But one good thing is they got free shuttle but the time slot is kinda weird and very rare. However it might not be super convenient if you are going to explore hanoi , if you take grab everywhere is not a concern , also kinda close to big supermarket and 30mins drive to airport !

/!\ Avoid this hotel. We would never recommend this hotel for your stay in Hanoi. Stayed 18-20 April 2025: 3 days, 2 nights. 1/ Overbooking situation - cancellation the day before landing My friend and I booked two separate rooms to stay at this hotel, the day before the check in, my friend's booking got cancelled by the hotel without information. We had contacted the hotel several times in vain, then it was confirmed that they have overbooked the hotel which caused to trouble to start with our holiday. Hotel Director of sales M. Victor N. did replied by email on the checking day 18/4 few hours before that ”we don't know the fact. You can make your reservation on our website now.” The remaining option on 18/4 morning was a ”suite” 14 times higher rate than our initial booking... Therefore once arrived at Hanoi, we wanted to get a refund of my remaining booking but the hotel reception lady Mrs Ruby was not helpful at first and rude towards us. Her non hospitality professionalism and communication led us feel very unwelcomed (no smile, no thank you, speaking vietnamese with her colleague in front of us). May need to review if she really should stay at the reception as this is client facing interaction and should be solution driven. She strictly insisted that she doesn't know why we only got one room left and my booking was non refundable even tough they did cancelled my friend's one few hours ago. After negotiation, she kept saying as it is non refundable, either we stay, either we book another room. At that moment, there was an another room not the Suite one that just got available ”King room” and if we could pay the price difference which is higher than our initial paid booking and need to stay together in the same room. As we just started the holidays and to not loose the money that we could not get refunded, we paid the difference to change to that room. We paid in cash to get that room. We thought that was going to be just one off issue/misunderstanding and could start our holidays. Note: If you pay in credit card they will charge 3% additional. The exchange rate is more convenient to change at jewelry gold shop in Hàng Bac street (5 mins walk), the rate at the hotel is too high, don't change there. 2/ Cleanliness As we got this better king's room with window, we were expecting that to be at least clean and suitable for 2 pax. The bed sheets and cushions were yellowish, the floor was not vacuum (dead bees staying there whole stay), the slippers are dirty, the wall is stained and some unfinished renovation. The worst is the shower/bathtub, once you shower, it will flood to the room, we had to put towels to absorb the water in the room. You have to ask for towels if they clean your room as they will forget. 3/ Breakfast Be aware that it is from 6:30am to 9:30am, the breakfast is correct as a mini buffet Overall this hotel is average, the positive points are the location and the other gentleman receptionist allowing us to have a ”late check out” at noon instead of 11am, as if after noon they will charge one night more. The hotel should stop with overbooking rooms that will cause unnecessary stress situation for everyone and need to be renovated. To be honest, you can have much more great options nearby, CLEAN and with great hospitality service. As part of holidays and for a decent price, just book another hotel to avoid negative start for your holidays. Enjoy your stay in Hanoi and in Vietnam! PS: on some platform it is indicated there is a gym but there is none. And the hotel team is aware of these comments as we filled the same to their paper review form.

The location was also fantastic, being close to the entertainment district, which made getting around for sightseeing incredibly convenient without long commutes. Everything was as perfect as I'd hoped, and I was very satisfied. I would gladly recommend this place to friends and family.

Since I arrived early for my flight, my room wasn't ready for check-in, so I stored my luggage at the hotel. First, the staff offered a welcome drink and explained the check-in procedures. Then, I went up to explore the rooftop pool and bar. The high-level location offers great night views. The room was comfortable and included complimentary fruit and coffee/tea sachets. One evening, it rained, so I went to the rooftop restaurant for dinner, enjoying the night view. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel if you're visiting Hanoi.

Located in the business district of the new city, it's about a 15-20 minute taxi ride to several shopping malls. The rooftop pool is beautiful but I didn't use it as the weather was too cold. The gym equipment is a bit old but comprehensive. The room's bed was comfortable, and the TV was large and clear. The fridge and washing machine were practical. However, the noise from the bar downstairs at night was noticeable and affected my sleep quality. Even with the friendly service, I won't be returning.

Overall, I was very satisfied. During my 8-day stay, I woke up to the sound of birds every morning, and it was wonderfully quiet. The alley leading to the property was narrow, so cars couldn't pull right up to the entrance, but it wasn't a major issue. The bathroom was spacious, and having a washer and dryer was very convenient. The room was cleaned daily, and fresh towels were provided generously. I was particularly impressed that the towels had no odor, indicating excellent hygiene. Perhaps due to the season, the room was a bit humid, so I needed to keep the ceiling fan on and ventilate regularly. A minor drawback might be the absence of screens on the windows. I loved being close to Lotte Mart, Vincom Center, and many great cafes. I've stayed in many residences in Hanoi, and this one was, overall, very satisfying.

Fantastic new spot—highly recommend! I recently had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was incredibly cozy, and since the hotel is brand new, everything felt fresh and modern. The highlight of the experience was the exceptional service; the staff was kind enough to provide a birthday cake for my friend, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated gesture! My recent stay at the Sheraton Hanoi West Hotel was an exceptional experience and left a lasting impression on me as a first-time guest. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the elegant atmosphere and the warm hospitality that defines the Sheraton brand. The hotel’s location by West Lake provides a peaceful and scenic escape from the busy streets of Hanoi, yet it’s conveniently close to the city center, making it easy to explore the local attractions and cultural landmarks. The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles and offered a refreshing welcome drink, which immediately set a positive tone for my stay. Throughout my visit, I found the staff to be attentive, professional, and always ready to assist with any requests, whether it was arranging transportation, offering local restaurant recommendations, or providing information about nearby attractions. My room exceeded expectations — spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated with a mix of modern comfort and Vietnamese charm. The large windows opened up to a stunning view of West Lake, especially beautiful during sunrise and sunset. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the room was well-equipped with everything I needed — a high-quality coffee maker, fast Wi-Fi, and a luxurious bathroom complete with a rain shower and premium toiletries. Breakfast at the Sheraton Hanoi West was another highlight. The buffet offered a wide selection of both local and international dishes — from fresh pho and tropical fruits to pastries and Western-style eggs and bacon. The quality of the food was excellent, and the service in the restaurant was consistently friendly and attentive. I also appreciated the peaceful lake view from the dining area, which made every morning feel special. During my stay, I also took advantage of the hotel’s facilities — the fitness center was well-maintained with modern equipment, and the outdoor pool area provided a relaxing environment to unwind after a day of exploring. The lounge and bar areas were elegant and comfortable, perfect for enjoying an evening cocktail or meeting with friends. Overall, my first stay at Sheraton Hanoi West Hotel was outstanding in every aspect — comfort, service, and atmosphere. It truly felt like a home away from home, and I was impressed by how well the hotel balanced luxury with genuine warmth. I would highly recommend this hotel to both business travelers and tourists looking for a high-quality, relaxing stay in Hanoi. I look forward to returning soon and experiencing the same exceptional hospitality once again.

The hotel has an excellent location, making it easy to explore the area. Service from the staff was top-notch, always friendly and attentive, they changed our room immediately after we raised concerns with mouldy shower and bedroom. However, the cleanliness was disappointing — the shower had noticeable mould buildup and didn’t feel properly cleaned and towels were worn, which need replacement. We stayed in 3 different rooms and all bathrooms had poor cleanliness. The room itself was on the smaller side. The breakfast selection was fairly average. Price was considered high for the standard of the hotel. Overall, while the service and location were impressive, improvements in cleanliness and room price were high.

Exceeded expectations! This small yet exquisite hotel boasts beautiful decor. The room was spacious and well-organized, making me feel comfortable the moment I stepped in. The rooftop bar is stunning, and the location is fantastic, just a few minutes' walk from Train Street. The breakfast selection was rich, fresh, and appealing, combining a buffet with à la carte options, and everything tasted delicious. The service was warm and friendly; staff actively helped with luggage and always greeted guests politely. There was only one minor issue: the front desk wasn't aware of the ”200,000 VND food and beverage credit per room” offer, and I didn't have time to use it anyway, so I let it go. I only stayed one night; I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy it more. Also, Trip.com's service is truly excellent, and this isn't even about this particular booking. Excellent customer service from the staff. The location was prime and close to everything. Two minute walk away from the lake. I had book for the deluxe room for the first two days they put me in a smaller room and then they said they were gonna upgrade me. Not sure if it was an upgrade or downgrade. The photos on the website showed that it was a stand in shower but the first two days I had a tub shower. Shower had a tiny bit of mold but this is nitpicking. Other than the shower issue, everything went well. The staff is ultra friendly. Very nice, care about you. They know you by name and room number so it shows that they’re very tentative . I definitely would recommend this hotel to anybody. On the last note, the hotel that offered to book me a taxi to the airport, initially they quoted me 400,000 but I said grab was cheaper and then they quoted me 230,000 with discount. I couldn’t help me disappointed that I got quoted at the higher price first instead of just automatically giving me the discount. It would’ve definitely gave me a better impression. I’m not sure if it was the language barrier and they did offer the discount, because I’m from South Vietnam and the dialect is different in the north. I just hope I’m wrong.

Don’t waste your time looking anywhere else in Hanoi—just book Classyc! My husband and I travel quite frequently, and we can confidently say this was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From start to finish, every detail felt thoughtful, warm, and genuinely exceptional. We initially booked the Grand Suite for 3 days and 2 nights before heading off on a Ha Long Bay cruise, then returned to Classyc for the remainder of our stay. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with cold towels, welcome drinks, and snacks—such a refreshing and thoughtful touch after traveling. The service throughout our stay was impeccable. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always going above and beyond. Arthur personally escorted us to our room and even checked in with us later that evening via message to ensure everything was perfect. We were also welcomed with chocolates in the room, which made the experience feel even more personal. It’s the little touches that truly set this hotel apart. We received complimentary wine vouchers, spa discounts, and consistently warm, attentive service at every interaction. When we returned from Ha Long Bay, it genuinely felt like we were coming home. Walking into our new room to find a heart-shaped chocolate mousse cake and a handwritten welcome-back note from the team was such a thoughtful and memorable surprise There was also a moment that really reflected the hotel’s integrity and commitment to guest satisfaction. We had booked a signature spa package, not realizing it wasn’t included in the 20% discount promotion. While we didn’t raise any concerns, the staff proactively followed up the next day at breakfast, apologized for the confusion, and extended the discount to us anyway. We were genuinely touched by this gesture—it spoke volumes about how much they care about their guests’ experience. On our final day, we had some time to spare before our flight. After exploring the city, we returned to the hotel and the staff kindly offered us access to the spa facilities so we could freshen up before heading to the airport—an incredibly thoughtful and appreciated gesture. They also arranged a luxury transfer for us, complete with comfortable seats and even a massage function, which made the journey that much more enjoyable! As we were leaving, one of the staff members surprised us with a beautiful ceramic wind chime symbolizing positive energy and good luck. It was such a meaningful and heartfelt farewell, and a perfect end to an already unforgettable stay. A few additional highlights worth mentioning: - A great breakfast spread with plenty of variety - A lovely rooftop pool area to unwind - Reno Bar downstairs, which became one of our favorite spots in Hanoi—fantastic cocktails, delicious bar snacks, a cool retro vibe, and great music. During our visit with some friends they even surprised us with a complimentary tray of shots! Classyc is more than just a hotel—it’s an experience defined by genuine hospitality, attention to detail, and heartfelt service. We’re already looking forward to our next trip to Hanoi, just so we can stay here again!

We had a very solid and comfortable stay at the San Premium Hotel, which is perfectly situated right in the heart of the Old Quarter. The location is incredibly convenient, with everything you could possibly need located just a short walk away. The absolute highlight of our experience, however, was the impeccable service. The staff is extraordinarily courteous, welcoming, and proactive. Their English proficiency is excellent, which made communication seamless. When I approached them with several non-standard requests, they handled them with high-level professionalism and genuine politeness, and they were always quick to assist with our luggage. The accommodation itself was highly satisfying. We stayed in a spacious room that featured a wonderfully large terrace. The bathroom was well-appointed and in great condition. Most importantly, the level of cleanliness throughout the room was flawless. The bed and pillows provided a very comfortable night's sleep, and I specifically appreciated the use of proper fitted sheets - a crucial detail for comfort that many hotels surprisingly overlook. It is exactly this kind of attention to basic hospitality standards that makes a property reliable. The only notable area for improvement is the breakfast. The morning buffet was quite monotonous and the food lacked flavor, so I cannot say I was impressed by it. However, if you are only staying for a couple of days, it is completely tolerable, especially considering the abundance of excellent dining options right outside the hotel doors. Overall, the exceptional staff, meticulous room cleanliness, and prime location easily make up for the mediocre breakfast. There was a wide variety of dishes, including Vietnamese specialties like Banh Mi and Pho, as well as American breakfast options. The breakfast staff were always attentive, promptly clearing empty dishes and asking, 'Do you need anything else?' Check-out was at 12:00 PM, and they also offered luggage storage service afterward. The location is excellent too; it's a 3-minute walk to the bus stop for the Noibai International Airport bus (86) and a 5-minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake. There are also plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Even though it was only a one-night stay, all the staff were friendly, and I had a wonderful time. Many thanks to all the staff!

I stayed at Golden Silk for 5 nights. 2 booked thru trip and 3 that I extended directly. The location is hard to beat. Bang in the center of old quarter steps away from Hoan Kiem Lake. The rooms are pretty tired as other people have noted. An upgrade may help but is not a deal breaker. Housekeeping is great. The pricing is a bit higher online but you can book directly and get a better price. The breakfast is okay, nothing great but whatever is available is pretty good. Restaurant staff is really great. The front staff is a mix with a few ones condescending to borderline rude. Not sure if that's consistent for all travelers or reserved for certain set of travelers. For USD 60 a night i think its a good choice considering the location.

We were welcomed by amazing team of super friendly and nice staffs in the hotel. They are so nice to the extend that we feel so welcomed as this is our first time in Vietnam, especially Hanoi. Mr Jack, Ms Tiffany and Mr Kian did a wonderful job that we have high expectations of the people here, thank you for the amazing stay! The welcome drink is so nice. Love the ginger sweets! Room is ok, however there’s no lift directly at our room at level 7. But they helped out with our heavy luggages. Breakfast wasnt halal but we had boiled eggs, fruits and corn. Upon check out, we had an early check out at 645am. They even packed us our bfast! I cannot stop saying how nice the staffs are because eventhough its been 3 days since I left the hotel, I still think about them and their amazing service to us. We feel important and honoured. The service was excellent, and the rooftop restaurant offered stunning sunset views. Linh Pham, one of the hotel staff, was incredibly helpful and always politely asked if we needed assistance whenever she saw us. She booked water puppet show tickets for us, recommended fantastic restaurants, arranged spa appointments, and even scheduled a cyclo ride. Her service was thoughtful and reasonably priced, making our trip very enjoyable. The hotel is located on the liveliest street in the Old Quarter, just a stone's throw from Hoan Kiem Lake, with a night market right downstairs. A pleasant surprise was finding delicious fried squab at the market near the hotel entrance. My only complaint is that the balcony room I booked faced the street and was quite noisy. The garbage trucks in the early morning and the loudspeakers from the morning market woke me up multiple times.

🌿【Hanoi · Le Jardin Hotel | French Serenity Hidden in the Old Quarter's Heartbeat】 After getting lost three times in Hanoi's bustling 36 Streets, I pushed open the wooden door of Le Jardin Hotel, adorned with vines and a brass plaque – it was like instantly switching channels. The city noise faded, and the air carried the scent of basil and coffee, along with a gentle old saxophone tune... ✨ It's not just a 'hotel,' but more like an old friend who understands you: ▫️ **Superb Location**: A 3-minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake, 5 minutes to Dong Xuan Market, yet cleverly tucked away from the main street's clamor. It boasts a tranquil alley paved with blue bricks and covered in bougainvillea. ▫️ **Design is Flowing Poetry**: Franco-Vietnamese aesthetics – yellow walls + louvered shutters + teak floors. Lemon trees bear fruit in the courtyard, a copy of 'Hanoi's Four Seasons' rests by a rattan chair, the pool reflects palm silhouettes, and even the elevator lobby features hand-painted old Hanoi postcards. ▫️ **Rooms are Gentle Sanctuaries**: The 'Jardin Suite' comes with an oversized bathtub + handmade Hanoi aromatherapy. The night light is set to a warm amber, and in the morning, I was gently awakened by church bells outside the window and the Vietnamese calls of flower vendors. ▫️ **Details Speak Volumes**: The welcome amenity included iced lime-mint water + a sample pack of local coffee beans. Our butler, Tuan, remembered I loved drip coffee and discreetly placed brewing equipment in the room on the third day. Upon check-out, a small handmade lacquer box was presented, containing a pack of Son La province tea and a handwritten blessing card.

Great value in the heart of the Old Quarter! I recently stayed at Hanoi Nostalgia Hotel and Spa and had a very solid experience. Overall, the hotel offers very good value for the price, especially considering its prime spot in the Old Quarter. The Rooms & Noise: The rooms were pretty clean, though definitely smaller than they look in the pictures. Since the hotel is centrally located, it is fairly noisy outside; however, the hotel is clearly aware of this and provides earplugs in the room, which was a very helpful touch for a better night's sleep. Breakfast & Service: The buffet breakfast was ok—standard/average for what you’d expect. What really made the stay, though, was the excellent staff. They were incredibly professional and welcoming throughout my visit. Verdict: If you want to be right in the action of the Old Quarter and appreciate great service, this is a fantastic budget-friendly choice. Just be prepared for a cozy room size!

The room was a large suite, though the interior decor felt a bit dated, like something from 10-20 years ago. However, it was maintained quite neatly and cleanly. The service was very good, and breakfast was decent. I mainly chose this hotel because the suite had a washing machine, but it also seemed quite old, and the dryer function wasn't very effective. The area around the hotel is currently undergoing a lot of demolition and new construction, so the immediate surroundings aren't very appealing.

Too dim the room (room 603) at night. But the other room (room 705) which is of the same size and type has more lights and is better lit. 4. This is my first time to Hanoi. Initially I chose another hotel, but due to change of work meeting place, I changed my hotel to Silk Path Boutique Hanoi. I was so glad I chose this hotel. It went beyond my expectations. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted very warmly by the staff and was assisted with my luggages. The staff were all so polite and well trained. They were very sincere too. I wanted to book a cruise and staff went all way out to gather the necessary information for me and patiently explained all the information to me. I had dinner at the restaurant. The food was nice and the staff who served me was very friendly and helpful. I ordered a rice dish and wanted to have a soup. Though it was in the menu, the chef whipped up a simple miso soup for me. I was impressed by how adaptive he wa. They could have just said there isn't soup in the menu for the dinner, but they went on and met the request of the customers. Kudos to the chef and staff. My stay was really great! The hotel is located near Hoan Kiem Lake in the center of Hanoi, and is not far from 36th Street, Train Street, St. Joseph's Cathedral and Ho Chi Minh Memorial Hall. Hotel service is very good, the facilities feel a bit long, the room near the street will be noisy at night, we stayed in the first night by the street with a balcony room, because I sleep not very well, I feel a bit noisy. After communicating with the hotel, we quickly changed two rooms that were not on the street. Thank you very much to the ladies at the front desk.

We booked and paid for three suite rooms with balconies, but only got two. The hotel feels old and cramped. We expected a proper 4-star experience but left disappointed—many 3-star hotels offer better value in both price and quality. Beds were rock-hard, towels had lost their whiteness, and each room only had two pillows. Rooms were also smaller than pictured in the booking app. Location is great, but our rooms were only accessible via elevator from the 3rd floor. Breakfast had limited choices. On the plus side, the rooms were cleaned regularly. The best part was the staff—especially Jerry, who let us check in early for free during heavy rain. We had planned to leave our bags at the tiny lobby (only a two-seater sofa) and explore, but his gesture convinced us to stay. Sadly, the next day the manager said we had to pay for the early check-in, which felt like a scam 😂. We still tipped Jerry generously for his kindness. They also helped us arrange airport transport, and we kept asking for the receipt (sorry, staff!) because we didn’t want a repeat of the early check-in issue. Note: If you want a luxury stay, this isn’t the place. Our 4-star hotel in Sapa was far better—and cheaper too.

This was a decent hotel for an average business traveler. They offer breakfast, but it's only worth what you pay for the hotel – don't expect anything amazing. Not far from the hotel you will find on the other side from the main road a lot of restaurants. And in the back we found a lot of small roads, with the original living in Ha Noi. The rooms are very clean. This is the most impressive thing about Vietnamese hotels. No matter whether they are a family hotel or a star hotel, they are all very clean. I came back from shopping at night. The uncle on duty was not very good at English. I wanted shampoo and shower gel. I just gave a piece of soap, haha! We took the room without internal window which I don’t have any problem as you won’t be hearing any noises from the crowded streets. You will get your rest well although you might not be aware of the sun rise. The staffs have been considerate to provide us umbrella during rainy seasons. The staff is very diligent, trying their best to resolve all problems. Help with luggage up to the floor, good daily cleaning. But they don't have disposable slippers - in the room there are ordinary plastic slippers that look like they're already a couple of years old. Breakfast is good. Good selection of buffet. First off, the hotel is located in the Old Quarter, north of Hoan Kiem Lake. As you might know, the Old Quarter is a bustling area with narrow streets, constantly crowded with cars, motorbikes, and people all day long. The moment you step out of the hotel, you're greeted by a massive crowd and endless options for entertainment, activities, and food. Being right in the heart of Hanoi's tourist district, most attractions are within walking distance. All the buildings here are old; it is, after all, the old town. (If you're expecting a modern hotel, you should look into the French Quarter in the south.) Despite that, the hotel and rooms were surprisingly quiet. While it might vary by room, the suite I stayed in on the 7th floor (the top floor, with the 8th floor being the restaurant) was small, but the balcony was incredibly spacious, much larger than I expected, which was fantastic. As a smoker, it felt like heaven. Check out the balcony photo! ^^) Prices might be a bit on the higher side for Vietnam, but considering the prime location, I saved a lot on Grab/taxi fares. Plus, the 8th-floor restaurant, which serves breakfast, is decent enough – you can easily verify its quality by searching it on Google Maps. Surprisingly, most guests were Caucasian rather than Asian, which I personally appreciated for the quiet atmosphere. Lastly, the staff seemed mostly young, but they were quite friendly. The welcome drink was a nice touch, the luggage storage service was excellent, and their recommendations for local attractions were helpful. I also asked them to arrange a taxi to the airport on my last day, and it was a smooth ride (it can be difficult to get a Grab on weekend evenings in this area, so I asked the front desk, and they arranged a large taxi for almost the same price as a Grab, which was very impressive. T_T_T_T). In short, I recommend this hotel to anyone who can truly appreciate the advantages of staying in a Hanoi Old Quarter hotel. However, this place is definitely not suitable for young children or family trips. I didn't see a single child during my entire stay, and I wouldn't bring my own kids to this area either. It's more suited for solo travelers, couples, or small groups of adults. If you've read reviews complaining about not getting any sleep due to the noise until dawn in the Old Quarter, right in the middle of the bustling area, I'd suggest you do a bit more research on Hanoi. There's plenty of information on the internet and YouTube these days! ^^ Anyway, I just wanted to jot this down at the airport before leaving Hanoi, hoping it helps you make an informed decision.

The service, cleanliness, and staff demeanor were commendable. While communication challenges were noted for a visiting guest, these were deemed acceptable upon clarification. I plan to reserve a mixed accommodation during my next visit, having opted for a private room on this occasion.

This hotel is a little further afield from the old quarter which is what I wanted. 15minutes on a bike to get there or 45 minutes walk i took a few times just to get my steps in and see the city. Staff are really friendly and accommodating. Two reasons I also chose here was the fact they have a gym and guest accessible laundry room without additional fees. The gym was basic but did what I needed it to. Good Treadmill, weights etc. Laundry room wasn't fully occupied whenever I went to use it (twice) which was a plus. Room always tired well daily. Would definitely stay again. Breakfast was always yummy.

I chose this hotel on a business trip~ The staff is really good, basically the whole smile~ Breakfast is great, you can look at the surrounding city while eating breakfast~ The hotel is close to a famous round building in Hanoi. You can walk a few steps to see the ancient city building and church, not far from the West Lake. There are also many convenience stores and places to eat around~ I feel good, I will have the opportunity to come again~

I stayed for 3 nights. Perhaps because of the good reviews and high expectations, I felt that the hotel was quite different from what I had imagined at first. I booked a premium room. It was on the 5th floor, but there was no view. I paid the upcharge to get to a higher floor. The shower room leaked badly from the gap and water flowed into the toilet. Enough of the unfortunate story. You can get to the hotel by bus number 86 from the airport. There are tourist attractions and historical sites within walking distance of the hotel. There is a lot of traffic, so it may be a good idea to use a ride-hailing app, but it's only for the initial ride. The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast. The menu is different every time, and I've tried a lot of pho (noodles) in the past, but the one I had on the last day was excellent. The staff are also wonderful. Thank you.

The problem I have with this hotel is that the pictures are lies. The room we booked online showed pictures of big windows on the whole front wall with a relatively large balcony and 2 chairs to comfortably sit. Instead, we got a small window in the corner and a door that opens up to a “balcony” just large enough for one person to stand up on. Other than that, the ladies at the front desk were super lovely, helpful and professional. The location is great to stay in the Old Quarter. But again, this hotel needs to post accurate pictures of their rooms.

Our room is located at the 5th Floor and there was no elevator so you have to take the stairs with your luggage. The staff did not also help us carry our luggage. The 5th floor looked like a laundry room that turned into a room. So there was another route going to the stairs from 4th Floor to 5th Floor. The room was okay. But the door was so hard to lock, you need to push it in order to be closed properly.

All the staff were excellent, and it is very clean. The breakfast is good. The location is in the Old Quarter and is convenient for walking to many other attractions, too. It's down an alleyway and not on one of the main streets. My room was a bit cold, especially in the evenings and on the last night but the air conditioning didn't make it warmer. Even though I set it at 30C the air coming out was about the same as the room temperature, so it didn't make any difference. On the last night I saw a bug in the bathroom at about 02:00 when I got up to use the bathroom. I stayed there for four nights and didn't see any other bugs.

Since I booked during the ***** New Year, it was getting harder to find rooms closer to the holiday because of the hotel's downtown location. It's super convenient for shopping, picking up souvenirs, and finding great restaurants nearby. The fact that it has an elevator already gives it an 85% score in my book! Plus, they offer a delicious and extensive breakfast spread, so I left feeling completely full every morning. It's also very close to Hoan Kiem Lake and other attractions, and there are quite a few Michelin-starred restaurants in the vicinity. Definitely worth it. I'll be back to stay here again!

The staff in this hotel were excellent! From welcoming us with some welcome drinks and fruit, to politely going through our booking details with us (as there was a mix up about payment) and even looking after our bags for a night (as we spent one evening in a village a little way out from Hanoi and returned to the hotel the day after). Of course the rooms, cleanliness and breakfast were also fantastic - and the only reason for rating the location as a 4 is owing to the fact that as it is centrally located in the Old Town, it can get quite noisy at night. In fairness, the hotel accomodated this by ensuring guests were placed in rooms further away from the noisy street (and with double windows), but it is something to bear in mind. We didnt mind of course - you cant expect to be in the midst of it all, and at the same time expect pure silence!

Breakfast is small, so you may eat outside. There are many restaurants, massages, souvenir shops, etc. near the hotel. Very convenient. There is no problem with housekeeping and staff support. Our stay here was indeed enjoyable. We checked in around after 10pm and the receptionist, Anne (I believe that’s her name) greeted us so warmly. It took no more than 5 minutes to get checked in. She even volunteered to carry our luggage, which really wasn’t necessary as they weren’t that heavy and we could manage it ourselves. She went above an beyond. The breakfast at the hotel was a la carte and you had about 6-7 options, if I remember correctly. I only ever tried the French toast (which needs a little more work), omelette and crepe - chocolate and banana which were both amazingly delicious. Although the hotel is located in the busy heart of Old Quarter, it was not noisy at all. You can sleep peacefully with no worries of being woken up by terrible sounds. Overall the hotel is pretty clean. A few days before checking out we had the electricity from our room cut off twice. Which was pretty annoying as with no ac the rooms are pretty hot, you will sweat. It was an overall very good experience. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are nicely decorated. I didn’t get any photos of the room or the hotel itself. You can walk to practically everything. The hotel however, will assist at all times if you need a grabcar, food delivery and such. In the pictures you will see the crepe, their house-made yogurt (made fresh everyday), the hotel helped us order a meal which they highly recommended and the only photo of the hotel that I own.

We had a very positive stay at this hotel, which served as an excellent base for exploring the city. Pros: · Excellent Location: The hotel is in a great area. It's near the HCM Mausoleum and the embassy district, which is quieter and less crowded than the Old Quarter, yet still very close (about 2km). We found it easily reachable by a short taxi ride or even a pleasant walk. A lot of major tourist sites were conveniently nearby. · Comfortable & Complete Rooms: Our room was a good size with a big bathroom. The mattress was excellent—very firm and supportive. While the facilities could use some updating, the room had everything we needed and was cleaned thoroughly every day. · Excellent Breakfast & Staff: The breakfast buffet had a fantastic variety and was consistently good. We especially appreciated that they offered some dishes prepared fresh per request. The standout feature, however, was the wonderfully enthusiastic and helpful staff. A special shout-out to Quin, Trang, and Shang at the front desk, and the two gentlemen at the breakfast service who always ensured we were well taken care of. Their hospitality truly enhanced our stay. Con to Note: · Soundproofing: The only noticeable downside was that the rooms are not very soundproof. It was easy to hear noise from the hallway and adjacent rooms, which could be disruptive at times.

I came to Mia Casa by Satori after staying at Melia Hanoi, so naturally I wasn’t sure what to expect after a five-star hotel experience. Surprisingly, I absolutely loved this place. The room is a bit small, but it’s very clean, thoughtfully designed, and overall very cute and comfortable. The hotel is in a perfect location, close to the old quarter and within easy reach of everything, which made getting around Hanoi extremely convenient. The reception is open 24 hours, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast is included, but it’s quite simple. Honestly, being in Hanoi, I preferred skipping hotel breakfast and going out to explore local food, which was a much better experience anyway. I booked this hotel last minute after extending my stay in Hanoi, and I’m really glad I found it. Even compared to my previous five-star stay, the room view here was actually better — instead of a skyscraper view, I had a floor-to-ceiling window facing another building with greenery, which felt much more pleasant and calming. Overall, this hotel offers great value, an excellent location, and a very comfortable stay. I would definitely come back again and would happily recommend it, especially for solo travelers.

The hotel's location is so-so, far from major attractions, but the room rate is cheap. When checking out, I forgot my watch and my wife's scarf at the hotel. When I remembered and returned to retrieve them, the staff told me they only found the scarf, not the watch. Furthermore, the location where they said they found the scarf was clearly incorrect, as my wife and I both clearly remembered where we put the scarf and the watch, as we forgot them when we were in a rush to get a taxi. The staff lied and refused to admit seeing my watch, and I had no recourse. I hope everyone will be wary of this hotel.

I've been here on two seperate occasions and both times I found uneaten food from the previous guests that encourages ants, bugs and mice. Clean the room properly please.

The surrounding area is quite convenient, opposite to Big C and a shopping mall. I chose it because I saw that the score was 5 points and it was cheap, but I found that the hotel was very small. It feels like a privately-run mini hotel. The front desk does not understand English. It is difficult to communicate. The door lock has only one electronic lock. Because a girl alone did not dare to stay on a business trip, she finally left after staying there for less than 2 hours. I can’t get a refund even after I have paid. I don’t feel very good. 2 people can still make a living together, but a girl alone is not recommended to go.

It's within walking distance from the airport. I arrived past 1 AM, pushing my luggage in the stuffy heat for about ten minutes – it was pretty convenient. The next day, I planned to take a taxi to the airport, but it was so cool outside that I just walked instead. It's really good for layovers. The only thing is that Trip.com said check-out was at 11 AM, but when I got to the front desk, they told me it was 10 AM. While that one hour didn't make a huge difference, it would be better if the information was consistent. Also, they offer an airport transfer service. I forget the exact price, but it was probably about three times more expensive than Grab, though I can't quite remember. At least with their service, you don't have to wait for a car. It wasn't a lot of money overall.

If you're looking for an affordable option for a layover, this hotel is decent. However, it's generally not very clean. The bathroom and toilet are combined, and there's a large, unscreened hole in the wall for the water heater pipes, which allows insects in. I had trouble with mosquitoes. For the airport transfer, I contacted the hotel in advance through the Trip.com app. After collecting my luggage and exiting the airport, I emailed them (via the Trip.com app using English words) the pillar number where I was waiting, and they arrived quickly. I wore bright clothing and told them the color of my clothes and suitcase, which seemed to help them find me easily. The one-way airport transfer cost 600 yen.

I rented this place on Airbnb from August 22–31, 2025, room 602. Everything was cool. It wasn’t perfect, but I loved this place until I left food on the kitchen counter… and you probably guessed it, the next thing I knew, there was an army of ants. They were coming from under the silicone, which wasn’t completely sealed near the sink. The owner offered me to put some ant killer, but at this point, after seeing 100+ ants, there was no way I was staying. And every exterminator will tell you that you don’t kill ants just by putting down some product, you have to find the source/nest. Anyway, Airbnb contacted the owner and offered me a 50% refund for the remaining unstayed nights, which was a take it or leave it kind of deal, so I agreed. If I’m not mistaken, there were 5 nights left. This was my first time using Airbnb, so I have no idea if the owner/Airbnb could have done better. I’m not the type to leave a bad review (a.k.a. 1 star) even after a bad experience unless i really have to,, but to be honest, a 100% full refund would have kept my mouth shut. In the end, I guess this is good for the community, and I hope this was the first time they were aware of it, because if they knew and didn’t hire an exterminator, that’s another story.

I stayed 3 nights at Love In The Atlantis Hotel, but the service experience was quite disappointing. I requested room cleaning the day before (at 9 AM and 3 PM), but no staff came. In the evening, the staff apologized and promised to clean the next morning, but they still didn't follow through. Then the front desk promised again for 3 PM, and someone finally cleaned around 4 PM, even though I had to leave the room multiple times to make it convenient for them. Furthermore, Trip.com stated that there was a complimentary laundry service, but when I requested it, I was charged an extra 50,000 VND. The service information was unclear, and the hotel's response was quite slow. I hope the hotel improves its room cleaning process and provides clearer service information.

Being in the heart of the Old Quarter made it very easy to explore Hanoi on foot, and I especially enjoyed the lively atmosphere during the weekends when the surrounding streets were closed to traffic. When I first checked in, there was a minor issue with my room assignment, but the staff handled it professionally and resolved it within a few minutes. When we arrived, the elevator wasn't working, and our room with a window was on the 6th floor. My wife and I couldn't climb that many stairs. They switched us to a room without a window, but it was stuffy and smelled like a sauna. There was mold on the ceiling, but at least the floor and bed were clean, so that was something. The reception staff treated us well, apologized for the elevator, and fulfilled our requests or at least tried to. They didn't clean our room once in 3 nights, even though I asked after the first night, and they said 'okay,' they didn't need the key because they had one. But in the evening when we returned, we only found clean towels by the door. The inside wasn't cleaned, and they said they didn't have the key. However, after we raised the issue, the trash and everything else were removed. The hot water in the bathroom was good. For amenities, they provided disposable toothbrushes, combs, soap, shampoo, toilet paper, etc.

Premium Comfort & World-Class Hospitality The indoor experience is just as seamless. My room was a haven of contemporary sophistication—spacious, impeccably clean, and fitted with plush bedding that offered a restful escape from the energetic city outside. Standout Feature: The executive lounge access is a must-try. Sipping a perfectly crafted cocktail while looking over the city skyline was a daily highlight. The staff deserves a special mention; their warm hospitality and intuitive service made me feel genuinely cared for, rather than just another room number. With its top-tier amenities, exquisite dining options, and frictionless logistics, Eastin Grand Hotel Saigon didn’t just host me—it elevated my entire Ho Chi Minh City experience. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The location is good, the room is very clean. The service is good too. I am happy with all of this. What made me unhappy and inconvenient, the reasons I gave two stars for amenties are as follows: 1) toilet - clean yes, but the water pump is top strong and inconvenient to press, feel like I am pressing a broken handle water pump. 2) trash bin - in the toilet, it is difficult to push down the cover, too strong, so always ended up touching my hand with the cover where most of the trashed from the toilet were in contact with while pushing down. In the room, the cover, always need to use hands to remove the cover. 3) Electricity plug sockets - should have at least two free, one each by each bed. But what we had to use is the one for TV plug, the one for night light bulb (between the bed). Only one free socket by the mirror in the bedroom. So very inconvenience for two persons to charge our phones or laptops.

Honestly, this place is beautiful, clean space, fantastic amenities, everything you could need at a gym, including sauna and steam rooms. The pool is basically on the roof with the spa's, beautiful view of the city when the weather is right. The room was spacious and used well with a table to sit at, reading chair, bed, TV, room service. The bathroom was a nice size, my room had a bath/shower combined it was lovely but very high just in case that's something you need to worry about (: the service was wonderful. I don't really have anything to fault about this place, but I wish I could have stayed longer :) Book it, you won't regret it 🥰 Breakfast was amazing, so many options and fresh new items each day🖤

I saw some reviews saying the service was bad and that they discriminated against Chinese guests, but my actual experience was very good; the service was professional and enthusiastic. Everything else was standard, quite good, but I can't give it a 5-star rating. There's a Michelin restaurant called Man Moi near the hotel with a great ambiance and good food. For around 200 (currency not specified, assuming local currency), you can have a decent meal. There's also a good Japanese restaurant nearby (though I don't recommend the tempura; it's too greasy). Compared to what I saw online, the hotel's design isn't particularly outstanding; it's quite conventional. If you're not on a tight budget, you won't be disappointed. The photos are from Man Moi restaurant, which has a great vibe. It's best to make a reservation as walk-ins might not get a table.

Hello, I was the guest in room 206, checking in on June 30th. After resting for a bit, I went out around 3 PM. When I left, my suitcase was open, and inside were clothes and a GoPro camera, which was attached to a neck strap mount and not easy to remove. When I returned in the evening, I noticed the room had been tidied. The next morning, I checked out and left my luggage at the hotel. Around 6 PM that afternoon, I returned to pick up my luggage to go to the airport. During that time, I opened my suitcase once at the luggage storage area to put something in. I didn't use the GoPro at all during my two days and one night in Ho Chi Minh City, so I didn't pay close attention to it. Afterward, I flew directly to Hanoi, and at the hotel there, I discovered my GoPro was missing from my suitcase, with only the neck strap mount remaining. I contacted you to help me look for the camera, but you said it hadn't been seen. After returning home, I carefully replayed all the events in my mind, and it's only possible that it went missing at your hotel. I hope that after seeing this review, you can help me check the surveillance footage again and contact me.

Pros: amazingly delicious buffet breakfast from western to asian cuisines. Delicious food and always fresh seasonal fruits. Menu changes daily. Their Triple Roomnis quiet spacious with bonggavillas on window sills. Room is cleaned and linens changed on a daily basis. Bar at the rooftop with jacuzzis and spa pool which added to the zen vibes. Lobby is dimly lighted but just enough to light the way which I think uphholds to its ZEN vibes. The location is superb. Next to it are spas for hair, nails, massage and 3 mins walk right through ben thanh market, saigon square, saigon center. 10 mins walk to Notre Dame Cathedral. Easy to catch Grab. Staff are all very friendly, helpful and communicates in English well. Cons: they don't have a swimming pool as what is advertised on its amenities. It's more like a spa pool where clients can sit, dip and maybe drink some coctails while watching the night lights and relaxing with the zen environment. However, the spa pool is perfect for my 8 yo nephew. He can play, swim on the pool without us worrying that the water might be deep for him. Bath tub is high so its not good for a short elderly client who got issues with mobility. My 78 yo mom got a hard time climbing in and out of the tub as its also slippery. We finally managed by letting her sit on th edge of the tub first before putting her foot in/out of the tub and putting towel on the floor of the tub while she's showering.

1. 16sq. mtr room is marketed and sold as a 20sq.mtr room. Its basically a glorified/polished container box. There is no space even to unpack/open your luggage. This is outright fraud and cheating. 2. Air conditioning is very poor. Despite such a small room size, it takes nearly an hour for the room to reach the set temperature even if you open the door even once. The staff too has confirmed the same that it takes 30min to 1hour to reach the desired cooling after closing the room doors. 3. Air conditioning break downs frequently. We had booked 17 rooms for our a group of 34 people. 3 to 4 had broken AC. One of them shifted in the middle of the night to a new room. On complaining the first time, the engineer came and fixed the filter. However the staff blamed us for keeping the door open. On complaining again, I was assured that the staff if coming only to realize that they were lying. Had to go physically to the reception and get the room changed. They were hoping that I would sleep with the broken AC instead of taking the pain to come down to the reception. On top of that the windows don't open. You don't have any ventilation as well. 3. The doors and walls are very thin. You can hear every door closing and even the slightest noise/conversation from nearby rooms. 4. The staff is very cold and unhelpful. Despite acknowledging the known problem about the AC they try to blame the guest for keeping the doors open. How is the guest supposed to breathe with no AC and no ventilation? If you are frustrated and get angry at the staff, they threaten you to throw you out of the hotel in the middle of the night by calling the police. 5. The windows are completely transparent. The nearby bldg people can peep in to your rooms anytime and hence the curtains need to be kept drawn all the time. 6. I am vegetarian so didn't find much options in breakfast. There were some fruits but they would get finished fast and then not refilled even during valid breakfast hours. When I checked reviews of this hotel after facing the above problems, multiple guests have reported the same issues.

We especially enjoyed the daily afternoon tea, the swimming pool, the complimentary drinks in the Executive Lounge, and the chocolates delivered to our room every evening. These thoughtful touches made our stay extra special. The only minor area for improvement would be the sound insulation of the balcony door, as there were small gaps that allowed some outside noise into the room. This is a hotel of contradictions. The facade is impressive. It's centrally located in District 1 near restaurants, shops and the Western quarter. The buffet breakfast selection is pleasing. The room size is generous. Staff are friendly and helpful. There's a forward thinking eco-friendly policy which clearly implemented throughout the hotel. However, the hotel is let down by some of its facilities. For example, in the bathroom a spa has been placed under a shower head so that when you shower the water runs down the wall and floods across the bathroom floor from one side to the other and in front of the hand basin. The hot and cold water taps turn on in opposite directions and the cold tap is not fitted properly which causes it to move. My children were unable to turn the shower on or off without adult help. The shower head is also too low and my 6 foot husband had to crouch down to shower. Another problem area is the rooftop pool area. The clear rooptop pool perimeter fence is woefully too low. I watched a child climb out of the pool to the ledge between the pool and the perimeter fence and I was very worried for his safety. One wrong slip or stumble and there's nothing stopping the child from toppling over the edge and 11 floors down. This hotel has a lot going for it but also has further room for improvement.

We stayed for six nights. Pros: - Excellent location in a tourist area, close to all amenities and shops. - Polite service with excellent English. - Daily towel changes, room cleaning, water, and toiletries. - Great cafe right outside on the ground floor. - Good breakfast from 7 to 10 AM, but the later you go, the less selection there is. - Air conditioning works perfectly. - Real plants with drip irrigation – very nice. - At first glance, a cozy room with a balcony. Cons: - Due to the plants on the balcony, tiny bugs constantly crawl around the room, bed, and bathroom. They are harmless, like specks of sand, but caused a slight discomfort. - The bathroom wasn't the cleanest due to humidity and old renovations. It was always cleaned, but it looked old and musty. - Not all drinks were refilled daily, contrary to what some reviews mentioned. Initially, there was beer, Pepsi, tea, and water. - Poor soundproofing; noises from the corridor and the neighboring room were audible. - And most importantly – street noise. A closed balcony didn't help; there was noise on the street until midnight and starting at 9 AM. Sports broadcasts, hawkers, construction from neighboring buildings – everything was audible, as if you were right on the street. Since our balcony faced the street, we experienced this; perhaps there are other room options with windows facing inwards. Overall, the hotel isn't bad for its price and genuinely tries to be good, but the longer we stayed, the more downsides we noticed. We wish them continued improvement!

How Much does it Cost for Food when Traveling to Vietnam?

How much does it cost for food when traveling to Vietnam

When traveling to Vietnam, the cost of food and dining can vary widely depending on several factors such as the type of food, the restaurant's location, and the level of formality or luxury. However, Vietnam is known for its delicious and affordable street food, which is a must-try for any traveler.

  • Street food or fast food: around 20,000 to 50,000 VND (less than $2 USD) per meal.
  • Casual dining or local restaurants: around 50,000 to 150,000 VND ($2 to $6 USD) per meal.
  • Mid-range restaurants: around 200,000 to 500,000 VND ($8 to $20 USD) per meal.
  • High-end or luxury restaurants: cost upwards of 1,000,000 VND ($40 USD) per meal.

If you're on a budget, there are other affordable options for food in Vietnam. Convenience stores and supermarkets offer a variety of tasty and healthy food at reasonable prices. You can find pre-packaged meals, fresh fruits, and snacks for as low as 10,000 VND (less than $1 USD).

Tipping is not customary in Vietnam, and the prices listed above are typically the final price you will pay. However, prices can vary depending on the location and the time of year. It's always a good idea to check the menu or ask the staff about the prices before ordering.

In conclusion, Vietnam offers a wide range of food options at affordable prices. Whether you're looking for street food or fine dining, there's something for everyone. Don't forget to try the local specialties and enjoy the culinary delights of Vietnam!

How Much does it Cost for Transportation when Traveling to Vietnam?

How much does it cost for transportation when traveling to Vietnam

Local transportation in Vietnam is incredibly budget-friendly. During my travels, I found that I averaged just $10 to $15 USD per day, though your exact spending will depend on your personal travel style. Getting around within the cities via ride-hailing apps or motorbikes usually cost me as little as $1 to $5 USD per ride, while long-distance sleeper buses and trains generally ranged between $10 and $30 USD.

Getting Around the City

Ride-Hailing Apps

In my experience, using apps like Grab and Gojek is hands-down the safest, most convenient, and stress-free way to travel. You know the price upfront, which completely eliminates any language barriers or haggling.

  • Motorbike (GrabBike): $0.50 – $1.50 USD (approx. 15,000 – 30,000 VND) per ride. Perfect for solo travelers who want to zip through traffic.
  • Car (GrabCar): $1.50 – $4.00 USD (approx. 35,000 – 100,000 VND) for short trips.

Traditional Taxis

Traditional metered taxis are everywhere and easy to flag down. Base fares typically start around $0.60 – $0.80 USD. I highly recommend sticking strictly to reputable brands like Mai Linh or Vinasun to avoid the common meter-tampering scams.

Motorbike Rentals

If you are an independent traveler who loves freedom, renting your own scooter is ideal. It typically costs between $6 to $10 USD (approx. 150,000 – 300,000 VND) per day. Just make sure you are comfortable handling Vietnam's chaotic traffic!

Traveling Between Cities

Domestic Flights

When I needed to save time traveling between major hubs like Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City, I opted for budget airlines like VietJet Air or Vietnam Airlines. One-way tickets are surprisingly cheap, usually running between $30 and $80 USD.

Sleeper Buses & Trains

If you are traveling on a budget, I cannot recommend overnight sleeper buses and trains enough. They are a massive money-saver because they double as your transportation and your night's accommodation.

  • Sleeper Buses: $10 – $20 USD (reliable companies include Futa Bus or HK Buslines).
  • Sleeper Trains: $13 – $30 USD, depending on whether you opt for a basic soft seat or a shared, multi-berth cabin.

How Much does it Cost for Sightseeing when Traveling to Vietnam?

How much does it cost for sightseeing when traveling to Vietnam

One of my favorite things about traveling through Vietnam is how incredibly budget-friendly the sightseeing is. If you are exploring independently, individual entrance fees generally range from just $1 to $12 USD per attraction. However, if you prefer fully organized experiences, day tours, or scenic cruises, I recommend budgeting between $25 and $60 USD per day for guided excursions.

Depending on your personal travel style, you can easily mix and match these options to keep your budget exactly where you want it.

Individual Attraction Entrance Fees

When I wanted to explore on my own, I found that many cultural and historical sites charged very low entry fees, which usually go directly toward local conservation efforts.

  • Museums & Historical Sites: Typically $1 to $3 USD. For example, buying a ticket to the historic Temple of Literature in Hanoi cost me around $1.20 USD (30,000 VND), while entering the Cu Chi Tunnels near Ho Chi Minh City ran about $5 USD (110,000 VND).
  • Temples & Pagodas: I noticed that a vast majority of these spiritual sites are completely free to enter, though it is always nice to leave a small cash donation.
  • Ancient Towns & Heritage Sites: Walking through the heritage areas of Hoi An Ancient Town requires a flat entry ticket of about $5 USD (120,000 VND), while a self-guided trip to the My Son Sanctuary ruins costs around $6 USD (150,000 VND).

Guided Tours & Excursions

For days when I wanted someone else to handle the logistics or dive deep into the local culture, I opted for structured tours. The pricing varies quite a bit depending on how specialized the activity is:

  • Street Food Tours: $20 to $45 USD per person. I highly recommend doing one of these—whether on foot or on the back of a local's motorbike, they include tons of food stops and are worth every penny.
  • Half or Full-Day City Tours: $30 to $70 USD per person. The price usually fluctuates based on whether you join a large group bus or hire a private local guide.
  • Cooking Classes & Artisanal Workshops: $25 to $50 USD per person. Great for learning how to replicate authentic Vietnamese flavors back home.
  • Ha Long Bay Cruises: For a standard-to-mid-range day trip or an overnight cruise, I found prices typically range from $30 to $60+ USD per person. (Keep in mind that luxury, multi-day cruise experiences will cost significantly more).
  • Trekking & Eco-Tours (e.g., Sapa): $90 to $200 USD per person. These are pricier because they usually span multiple days and include local homestays, meals, and specialized mountain guides.

The climate at Ba Na Hills is pleasant. Although it rained in the afternoon, the rain stopped quickly, and the weather was even cooler afterward, so the itinerary wasn't affected. However, the cable car and train will stop operating if there is thunder and lightning. For the Four Seasons Restaurant's buffet, it's recommended to eat between 10:30 and 13:00, when it's less crowded and there's a wider selection of dishes. The lunch break from 13:00 to 15:00 is very crowded, and although the crowd thins out after 2 pm, the selection isn't as extensive. The recommended itinerary is to first visit Area B1 in the morning (ideally as soon as it opens to allow ample time), explore it, and then have the 10:30 buffet. After exploring B1, head to Area A. In the afternoon, take the train to Area B2 and go to the Golden Bridge between 17:00 and 18:00 to enjoy the sunset. At this time, there are fewer tourists, and the view of the sea and sky blending seamlessly, with overlapping mountains and a breathtaking sunset.

We visited VinWonders Park in Nha Trang! The place itself is amazing: huge, beautiful, atmospheric, plenty of room to roam. But there's one important detail you should know in advance. 🚨 Attention, parents of small children! If your child is under 130 cm tall, be prepared for them not being allowed on most of the adult slides and extreme rides. There's a separate children's area, but it's not as big as we'd like. Our children were very upset by this—standing and watching others ride was frustrating. 🗺️ Time Summary: The park is great and large, but if you're traveling with young children, getting a two-day ticket is definitely not worth it. We easily explored everything available in one day and even had time left over for relaxation. A second day would have been simply unnecessary. We booked our tickets here on Trip.com—everything went smoothly. But next time, we'll take our children's height into account!

Whenever I want to hit the ground running, I choose an eSIM. They are the easiest option because I can buy and activate the plan right on my phone before my flight lands, completely bypassing the need to swap physical plastic cards.

  • My Cost: Usually $4.50 to $15, depending on the data limits and how long I'm staying.
  • My Go-To Providers: I regularly use Airalo or Nomad for budget-friendly, Vietnam-specific data bundles.

2. Local Physical SIM Card (The Best Overall Value)

If your phone doesn't support eSIMs, or if you simply prefer a local phone number for making calls, picking up a physical prepaid card is your best bet.

  • My Cost: Around $5 to $12 for a 30-day package that typically loads you up with an incredible 3GB to 5GB of data per day, plus local calling minutes.
  • My Network Tip: I highly recommend Viettel because it consistently gives me the strongest network coverage across rural areas and mountain passes. Vinaphone and Mobifone are also solid choices.
  • Where I Buy Them: I always buy directly from official carrier kiosks at the airport or their flagship stores downtown to get the real rates. Note: Since local laws require every SIM to be linked to a real person, make sure you have your passport ready for them to scan at registration.

3. Pocket Wi-Fi Rental

When I travel with a larger group of friends or need to connect multiple devices like my laptop and tablet simultaneously, renting a portable Wi-Fi hotspot is a great alternative.

  • My Cost: Generally averages about $6 to $9 per day (just keep in mind you'll need to leave a refundable device deposit upfront).

4. International Roaming

Before I completely switch over to local options, I always double-check my home carrier's international policies. Some providers offer affordable daily travel passes.

  • The Cost: Typically $10 to $12 per day. I am always extremely cautious here—if you don't activate a specific international pass, pay-as-you-go data roaming can easily skyrocket to $2 to $10 per megabyte and result in massive bill shock.

When traveling to Vietnam, the total passport and entry cost is split into two separate requirements: securing/renewing your physical passport and purchasing your mandatory tourist visa.

1. Your Home Passport Fees

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Vietnam. If you need a new one or a renewal, official government fees are:

  • Single-Entry eVisa (Valid up to 90 days): $25 USD
    • Best if you only plan to enter Vietnam once during your trip.
  • Multiple-Entry eVisa (Valid up to 90 days): $50 USD
    • Best if you want to visit Vietnam, take a side excursion to a neighboring country like Cambodia or Laos, and fly back into Vietnam to catch your flight home.
