Our family trip with kids was amazing! The hotel has a refined ambiance, and it's conveniently located across from a mall and a subway station. The housekeeping staff were incredibly thoughtful; our room was spotless, and they even prepared cookies and drinks for the little ones. We were in a hurry and forgot to bring our child's printed homework, but the front desk staff helped us re-print it, which was a lifesaver. We extended our stay due to a typhoon, and the front desk even kindly upgraded our room type. Ms. Dong from the dining department brought delightful surprises every day. On the first day, we had soft and chewy Yuhua Stone Tangyuan (glutinous rice balls), and the next day it was warm papaya and tremella soup, making me look forward to breakfast every morning. Ms. Dong mentioned she's been working at the hotel for twenty years and has a deep affection for the place. With dedicated long-term employees like her providing such warm service, the business is sure to thrive. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nanjing – it's truly worth it!

A perfect family-friendly oasis in Nanjing's scorching summer – once you stay, you'll understand what 'home away from home' truly means. In August, I bravely ventured to Nanjing with my two 'little monsters,' and my biggest worries were the humid heat and the hassle of getting around. But after choosing the Jinling Hotel, all my anxieties melted away – this trip was truly a 'textbook experience for traveling with kids.' Boasting a prime location, getting anywhere felt like 'cheating.' The hotel is nestled in the heart of Xinjiekou, with a subway station right outside and taxis readily available in seconds. In Nanjing's sauna-like weather, we primarily relied on the subway and taxis to 'commute.' No need for endless walking with the kids, which meant we saved all our energy for exploring and eating. This sense of ease was incredibly precious. Nanjing's flavors, from morning till night. Upon check-in, I specifically booked the Jinling Building's Shuangxin Twin-Bedroom Family Suite, which offered ample space and privacy. The biggest surprise, though, was the dining. The Huaiyang cuisine at Jinling Meiyuan and Jinling Fanzhuang was exquisite and authentic, even delighting the children. I particularly have to praise the large meat buns; the dough was fluffy, and the filling had just the right balance of sweet and savory – my child devoured two in one sitting! The hotel's own bakery and cafe also became our 'energy replenishment stations.' After a tiring afternoon of sightseeing, a slice of cake and a latte instantly recharged us. Heartwarming service made traveling with kids stress-free. From the moment we walked in, every staff member greeted us with a genuine smile. Seeing us with children, they proactively helped with our luggage. While dining at Meiyuan, my eldest suddenly felt unwell, and the staff promptly provided warm water and fresh orange juice. These thoughtful details radiated warmth, allowing the adults to completely relax and making the children so happy they didn't want to leave. This feeling of 'being taken care of' was truly wonderful. Although Nanjing in August was hot and humid, the hotel's seamless transportation connections made it completely manageable. Upon check-out, my child reluctantly said, 'I want to stay here again next time.' Indeed, a good hotel isn't just a place to rest; it's a source of security during a journey. The Jinling Hotel, with its location, delicious food, and human touch, transformed the summer heat into a wealth of warm memories. I highly recommend it to all families traveling with children – come here, hand over the 'worries' to them, and keep the joy for yourselves. We've already secretly added it to our 'revisit list'!

This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I can describe it as super satisfying! First, let's talk about the service – all the staff were polite, warm, and attentive. Due to high occupancy, we booked different room types for a few days, which meant we'd have to move rooms mid-stay. When the hotel found out, they upgraded us to a more spacious and expensive family suite, which took a huge weight off our minds. Second, the overall decor is high-end and elegant, the facilities are complete, it's clean, and the soundproofing is excellent. Food delivery by robots maintains guest privacy, making for a comfortable and secure stay. Third, the transportation is incredibly convenient; the subway and bus stops are right downstairs, and there's free parking available. The hotel is located in a bustling downtown area, with shopping malls, restaurants, and various supermarkets all around, making life very convenient. All in all, this was a pleasant and worthwhile experience, highly recommended! 😄

Xinjiekou Area/Presidential Palace Nanjing|1.47km from city center
The room was great, and the upgrade to one with a shower was very convenient. The desk made it easy to work. The whole place has been redecorated, and it felt much better than my previous stays here. There were many thoughtful touches: a direct drinking water tap, and an elevator guide attached to the door. The mattress was a bit soft. The hardware was the most satisfying among the three hotels I stayed at in Nanjing. What I was dissatisfied with was the service (software): 1. Upon check-in, I was only given one key card (many hotels proactively provide an extra card for power, you know?). In this humid weather, it was very inconvenient to go in and out without air conditioning. In the evening, I wanted to go to the front desk to ask for an extra power card. The concierge directed me to the front desk, where one person was slowly processing a male guest's check-in, and another was on a long phone call. I stood there for a full five to ten minutes, and not once did I get an apologetic smile or a glance acknowledging my wait. I was shocked; is this really five-star hotel service? To continuously talk on the phone and leave a customer waiting without even looking at them? I finally couldn't take it anymore and asked for a power card, and it was still handed to me with a cold, swift gesture. I feel like even at a HUAZHU hotel, I wouldn't receive such treatment. 2. The next morning, when I was extending my stay, the front desk staff just brusquely handed my card back to me. I had to double-check my booking and ask her to confirm if it included breakfast. She then reluctantly replied that it did, and even emphasized that it was for tomorrow's breakfast? A 68-yuan breakfast isn't that rare, and for staff to highlight the dining time and location when checking in a guest with breakfast included is basic service, right? The service at Gulinandun was really disappointing. 3. Later, when I asked for two more bottles of water, the front desk just pointed their hand, telling me to go pick them up myself at the concierge desk??? The previous evening, a man claimed he needed to drink 4 liters of water, and the front desk greeted him with a smiling face. What exactly is going on here?? The service truly left me dumbfounded!

This stay at Sofitel Galaxy truly exceeded our expectations, and I have to give a perfect score to Jessica! Her service was attentive and thoughtful throughout: she not only upgraded our room for free but also proactively reminded us to book our exclusive late-night supper. Finally, she helped us secure a late check-out. Every little detail made us feel incredibly warm and cared for. Although the hotel has been open for some time, the quality of service hasn't diminished at all; instead, it showcases the reliability and dependability of a well-established five-star hotel. The location is another huge plus: the subway station is right outside the hotel, offering direct access to all popular attractions. If you're driving, you can park directly on levels B2/B3. Either way, getting around is super convenient. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Nanjing!

The hotel's scenery is truly breathtaking, especially at night – it's absolutely stunning. However, the facilities are a bit dated, and the room decor feels a little old-fashioned. On the bright side, the service is excellent. I'm not sure why, but the bathroom and toilet area had no lights, making it very dark. Aside from that, it was still good. The bathroom reminded me a bit of the Conrad in Hangzhou. Breakfast was decent, pretty standard.

I chose the Westin for a few reasons: 1. Air conditioning, 2. Swimming pool, and 3. Direct access to the mall from the first floor, which is a lifesaver in summer. I checked reviews for many other hotels, and a common complaint was that the AC couldn't be adjusted or would automatically turn off in the middle of the night to save power. That's a deal-breaker for me! Thankfully, the Westin's AC allows you to adjust both temperature and fan speed. The gym and pool are in a separate building, requiring a walk through a connecting corridor, which is a bit of a trek. However, the pool water is very clean, and it's not usually crowded. I'll definitely come back again.

If you like architecture, you must come here once. There are more than 20 buildings in the hotel park. It is very comfortable to stay in the hotel and walk around. There are guides at the front desk of the hotel. When there are not many guests, you can use the battery to pick you up. I will come again next time for a three-day and two-night staycation.

Nanjing Hive Hotel May Day Holiday Review Staying at the Nanjing Hive Hotel during the May Day holiday was an impressive experience overall. Nestled within the Laoshishan cliffs, the hotel's honeycomb-shaped architecture boasts a futuristic design. Combined with the giant stone lions and waterfall landscape, it creates an incredibly atmospheric and photogenic setting. The guest rooms are clean and spacious, with comfortable bedding and complete amenities. The expansive views offer a serene and livable environment. The hotel facilities are excellent, featuring cliffside hot springs, a heated swimming pool, and a children's playground – perfect for a family vacation. The front desk service was warm and attentive, and the shuttle service made getting around convenient. Considering its aesthetic appeal, environment, and facilities, it's an excellent choice for a holiday stay in Nanjing.

First off, the room was very spacious, which I was happy with. The location is also great, close to Xuanwu Lake and relatively quiet. However, the room constantly had a strange, unidentifiable musty or foul odor, especially on the side of the bed closest to the sofa. As soon as I lay down, there was this really odd smell. Plus, the bedsheets were torn, which I found really strange—it's not like this is a pet-friendly hotel, right? And the hairdryer was damaged; why hasn't it been replaced? This is supposed to be a five-star hotel, and compared to Holiday Inns in Chengdu and Shanghai, which have already updated their hairdryers, why haven't you? Even the toilet is an old model; why not upgrade to a smart toilet? Maybe they're going for a 'retro' vibe, haha. Also, the tiles in the shower were clearly loose and very dirty; can't they clean them properly? But I do want to commend the housekeeping staff. They saw there was fruit in the mini-fridge and inserted a card to prevent the power from cutting out in the room, which is highly commendable 👍👍. However, I also found it very odd that there were no greeters or reception staff in the lobby. Nobody offered to help with luggage, and the overall number of service staff in the entire lobby was pitifully low 😅. But I must praise the front desk lady; her voice was very gentle 👍👍.

Service: Excellent, truly reflecting the heritage of a seasoned five-star hotel. They proactively reached out via WeChat before check-in to assist with arrangements, and were responsive to all requests throughout my stay. A special shout-out to Daisy! 👍 Environment: The hotel is right next to Xuanwu Lake, with a Line 1 subway station just outside, making transportation very convenient. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful. Facilities: Shangri-La's signature 'old money' style is evident, though the hotel has been around for a while, so the facilities are a bit dated, but they are well-maintained. Cleanliness: Satisfied, the room was very clean. Overall, it was a satisfying experience. The executive lounge on the 40th floor offers great views, and breakfast was good. Afternoon tea was a bit simple, but sufficient for a short break.

My stay at Jumeirah this time was incredibly surprising and memorable. Even before I arrived, the hotel's service had already left a great first impression. The staff member who answered my call in the morning was incredibly friendly, patient, and professional. They helped me resolve two practical issues regarding check-in and luggage arrangements, explaining everything clearly and efficiently, which made my subsequent arrival at the hotel much smoother. Later, during check-in, the front desk staff member who assisted me was also very enthusiastic, meticulous, and thoughtful. The entire check-in process was seamless and pleasant; they also went above and beyond to help me with room arrangements, and the final stay experience far exceeded my expectations. The hotel itself is also outstanding. The overall environment is beautiful and very well-maintained. The rooms are spacious, elegant, quiet, and comfortable, with great views and a very relaxing ambiance. The bathroom and amenities were particularly impressive; many small details showed the hotel's attentiveness. What impressed me most this time wasn't just the hotel's facilities, but the genuine service provided by the staff. From the phone communication in the morning to the front desk reception upon arrival, I felt incredibly welcome and well taken care of. Overall, this was a very pleasant and delightful stay, and one of the most impressive hotels I've stayed at recently. If I return to this city in the future, I would be very willing to choose this place again, and I highly recommend it.

Xuanwu Lake Scenic Area/Jiming Temple Nanjing|3.21km from city center
This is my third time staying at Xuanwu Hotel. The location is super convenient, right outside Exit 1 of Xuanwumen Station on Metro Line 1. From the hotel, it's just a 5-minute walk to the Xuanwumen city gate of Xuanwu Lake Scenic Area, making it easy for morning runs or lake strolls. Within 500 meters, there are many great dining options (like Hunan Road, Lion Bridge, Phoenix Square, Jinmao Plaza, etc.). Breakfast at the 20th-floor revolving restaurant isn't incredibly lavish, but it offers good value for money. If you're too lazy to go out for dinner, the Jindianxuan restaurant on the first floor is surprisingly good. However, the complimentary afternoon tea from the hotel was seriously underwhelming! Overall, I'd still give it a positive review.

Located on the riverside of Xiaguan, offering prime river views. The modern sophistication of Hilton meets the grandeur of the Yangtze River. From the sunset balcony and lush lawn to the airy lobby, every spot is picture-perfect. Light-colored outfits paired with the 'Orange Sea' sunset capture a unique tranquility and luxury of Jinling city, creating an incredibly atmospheric vibe. The service was also very warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. 5 stars.

The Ming Palace and Nanjing Museum Area Nanjing|2.58km from city center
The location is good. It is opposite the main hospital, which is very convenient to go to the hospital. It is also close to the scenic spots. The door is the beautiful Wutong Avenue, which is beautiful in all seasons. From the lobby to the room, the entire decoration reflects the unique characteristics of the Republic of China, which is good. The service is very good. There are responsible security guards at the door to direct the vehicle to park and cover it with a sunshade. Parking is also free. The lobby staff are enthusiastic and professional. They greet you warmly when you enter and exit. The consulting travel guides and tea and treasure boxes provided are very good. There are also free laundry rooms and gyms, which are very practical. The room is clean, bright and tidy. Every staff member is very enthusiastic and considerate in details. Xiao Xue at the front desk is very enthusiastic and patiently introduces the scenic spots and food. The free wheelchairs provided by the hotel are also super heartwarming. This time I took my parents for a check-up and it was much more convenient to use a wheelchair. The overall experience is very good, cost-effective, and worth recommending

We made a last-minute decision to visit Nanjing, so I quickly booked a hotel. When we arrived, the staff noticed that the queen-sized bed in our room wouldn't be comfortable for a family of three. The front desk was incredibly helpful and promptly changed us to a twin-bedded room. We were pleasantly surprised when we went upstairs – it felt like a huge upgrade! The room wasn't huge, but it was very cozy. The separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom were a fantastic touch, giving us more privacy when showering. The room truly had a Zen-like feel, and it was perfect for taking photos with our child. Overall, it exceeded my expectations. Who says you can't find a great room with a last-minute booking? I definitely did, and I absolutely loved it!

The hotel boasts a great location, right next to Hohai University and Nanjing Normal University, and also very close to the Provincial People's Hospital. Free parking is available, the rooms are clean and hygienic, and it's especially quiet at night. Definitely recommended.

Checking in took a very long time. Both members of staff were dealing with a group of Indonesian tourists and left me waiting. When I did check in, the lady wanted to see my last entry stamp, although I have a residence visa, so it should be irrelevant. I had to have my face scanned, which didn't happen last time I stayed here. I felt uncomfortable about this to be honest. Other than this the room was fine and had a comfortable stay but I just wish they would scrap all this unnecessary bureaucracy.

Traveled from Nanjing with my child for the weekend and chose the Kaiyuan Guchengwan Hotel – the experience was absolutely fantastic! Special thanks to our butler, Xiao Xia, for her thoughtful and attentive service. She coordinated our itinerary in advance and provided a detailed introduction to the hotel and surrounding area. Check-in was efficient upon arrival. We booked the Misty Rain Twin Room package, which was very convenient and close to the lobby. The hotel is located within a Jiangnan garden, far from the city's hustle and bustle. The environment is superb, with the sounds of insects and birds, and fresh air. The shuttle service into the scenic area was incredibly convenient. The room was spacious, with two 1.35m beds that we could push together, so we didn't have to worry about the child falling off. The separate wet and dry bathroom, the scenic floor-to-ceiling windows, and the balcony were particularly impressive. Watching the scenery from the room on a rainy day truly lived up to the name ”Misty Rain Room.” Whether it was borrowing items, booking the shuttle, or requesting a late check-out, our butler Xiao Xia handled everything quickly and properly. She was reliable in her work and genuinely kind to guests. We used the dinner included in the package; the vegetables were very fresh, suitable for both the elderly and children, and the fruit was exceptionally delicious. Breakfast offered a rich variety, and parking in the underground garage was convenient, making our travels stress-free. The children's playground was spacious, and the pool was very clean, making the little ones incredibly happy. The noodles from Hu Ji Noodle House, included in the package, were also delicious. The stir-fried shredded pork with green peppers, freshly made by the auntie, was so fragrant that my child and I ate every last bit. Our butler, Xiao Xia, provided meticulous care throughout our stay. Her service was delicate and warm, perfectly embodying a five-star service standard. This vacation was relaxed and pleasant, without any unpleasant incidents. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. The next time we visit Guchengwan, we'll definitely look for Butler Xiao Xia again!

The front desk staff, particularly a young man named Xiao Rui, was incredibly kind. He proactively upgraded my room and double-checked with me before sending up my food deliveries via robot. He also offered recommendations for other rooms and directions. He was genuinely pleasant and gentle. The 5-star rating is solely for him. On the other hand, a shorter female staff member at the front desk was unhelpful; when I asked her to help me receive a delivery, she told me to contact the delivery person myself, which was frustrating. Additionally, there were far too many mosquitoes in the underground parking garage. The restaurant in the morning was so busy that they couldn't keep up with clearing tables, and some guests couldn't find a seat.
