We stayed at Nanjing Central Hotel on our last trip to Nanjing and had a very good impression, so this time, when we brought our child to Nanjing during the National Day holiday, we booked this hotel well in advance. The hotel's location is superb, close to Xinjiekou and directly opposite Deji Plaza, making it incredibly convenient for getting around by taxi, dining, and taking the subway. During our National Day stay, it felt like the entire hotel management team was mobilized, responding quickly and kindly, without any sense of chaos. In the restaurant, the staff were quick to clear and set tables for breakfast, and on both mornings, we received special meal accommodations. Auntie Dong Chunhong from the restaurant even proactively asked if we needed anything, making us feel incredibly welcome. Everyone agreed that we would choose this hotel again on our next visit to Nanjing.

The Jinling Hotel Asia Pacific Tower is located in the heart of Xinjiekou. Deji Plaza is right outside, and it's very convenient to take the subway. It's not far from the Presidential Palace and Nanjing Museum, about a 20-yuan taxi ride, making sightseeing very easy. The hotel has a more classic design, with warm yellow lighting and wooden interiors. From the high-floor, floor-to-ceiling windows, you can overlook the city. The bedding is comfortable, and the soundproofing in the rooms is good. As an established five-star hotel, the service is excellent. Check-in at the front desk was efficient. Staff escorted us from the Jinling Tower to the Asia Pacific Tower and thoughtfully introduced us to the dining options around the hotel. Breakfast is on the 56th floor and includes their signature Jinling steamed buns and duck blood vermicelli soup. On the 4th floor, there's a pool and gym, both free to use. I needed a firm pillow, and the hotel provided one upon request. When housekeeping cleaned the room, they specifically arranged our skincare products neatly on a small towel. Any requests were responded to quickly.

The hotel's location is excellent; it's a three-minute walk right after exiting the subway station. I chose this hotel because I wanted to visit the Deji Art Museum, which is also very close, less than a 15-minute walk away. Plus, it's located within the Golden Eagle shopping mall, making dining and shopping very convenient. The room facilities are quite new, and the bedding is comfortable. The front desk staff who checked us in were very friendly. However, I felt it might have been due to the summer holiday and a weekend, making them quite busy. It seemed like there were some issues with their operational flow. After dropping off our luggage in the room, we went out. Since I had water in my bag, I didn't notice that there was no complimentary water in the room. We returned to the hotel at 9:40 PM and discovered the room had no water. We called the front desk, and it wasn't delivered until just after 10 PM. I originally planned to give my child a bath in the tub. While scrubbing the bathtub, I found a few body hairs from a previous guest. I endured the disgust to finish scrubbing, only to find that the water wouldn't drain. After removing the stopper, it took almost half an hour for even the small amount of water from scrubbing to drain. I mentioned it to the floor staff, who said she was busy and could have a maintenance person look at it. Considering it was already past 10 PM, I decided to just let it go and not give my child a bath. The breakfast selection was a bit limited, which was a little surprising.

The front desk lady was incredibly patient and friendly; she extended my check-out time when I was delayed by a work meeting, which allowed me to finish my tasks on time. Sitting by the window, sipping coffee on a rainy day, was incredibly calming. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Nanjing.

Checked in on Mid-Autumn Festival day, and the front desk gave us a box of mooncakes, which was a nice gesture. The front desk agent said they upgraded our room to a larger one, but it didn't match the photos we saw when booking. When I asked a housekeeper about it, they were evasive. The front desk then explained that the photos on Ctrip were of non-executive floor rooms that had been renovated, and that my room was on an executive floor with executive lounge access. I still don't quite understand the discrepancy. Room facilities: The lack of a luggage rack was inconvenient, and no power outlets by the bedside table was also a bit bothersome. Hygiene: There was a squashed mosquito from a previous guest on the wardrobe glass, and some leftover liquid on the hand soap bottle.

For my two-day, one-night trip to Nanjing, I stayed on the Executive Floor of the Westin Nanjing Xuanwu Lake, and overall, I had a great experience. The hotel's location is excellent; Xuanwu Lake is right across the street, and since the rooms are on the 23rd floor and above, it feels like most rooms offer lake views. There's a shopping mall and a subway station downstairs, making it very convenient for sightseeing and dining. I heard the hotel hasn't been renovated in nearly 20 years, but the rooms are exceptionally well-maintained, so it doesn't feel old at all. The Basque cheesecake at the Executive Lounge's happy hour was truly delicious and left a deep impression on me. I'd like to specially thank customer manager Sunnie. She proactively contacted me before my check-in to understand my needs in advance. After checking in, when I asked if children's dental kits could be provided, her response was incredibly fast – almost instantaneous. She even provided extra children's toiletries, which was a very thoughtful service. The only slight drawback is that there aren't many seats in the Executive Lounge, so during holidays when it's busy, you might have to queue. However, the hotel is quite considerate in this regard; they allow you to take your food back to your room, which effectively solves the seating crunch. Overall, this stay was a great experience. The service was excellent, the lake view was a big plus, and getting around was convenient. I would definitely consider this hotel again on my next visit to Nanjing.

Let's start with the hotel's praiseworthy aspects: 1) The environment is truly exceptional. Situated within Laoshu Mountain Forest Park, it's pristine, embracing nature with birds singing and flowers blooming, and dense vegetation. You feel instantly relaxed upon entering! 2) The hotel space is very large and boasts a fantastic design – it's beautiful! 3) The room is very quiet, and the bedding is comfortable and conducive to sleep. 4) The staff are warm, friendly, patient, and attentive! Now for the areas that need improvement: 1) As shown in Figure 8, there are too many sharp corners on the countertop in the shower room. This space isn't very large to begin with, and these sharp corners are a clear safety hazard. I hope this can be addressed and rectified as soon as possible. 2) As shown in Figure 9, the vanity is a bit small. There's no suitable place to put skincare products or cosmetics, so they end up getting splashed with water near the faucet. I suggest adding a shelf above the faucet. 3) Breakfast was a bit disappointing. I understand that the hotel might not have many guests, but if they could improve either the quantity or quality of the dishes, it would definitely boost their reputation.

Booked a 2-day, 1-night package deal, which was great value for money. It included breakfast and one main meal. The room was clean and comfortable, and we received complimentary welcome fruits and drinks. The main meal was very generous; it was almost too much food for two people. The air conditioning in the room was central AC and a bit too cold. Since it couldn't be adjusted, I asked the staff for an extra blanket. Luckily, the weather wasn't too hot, so turning off the AC before bed made the temperature just right. Taxis and food delivery were very convenient from the hotel, and we were able to get a late check-out until 2 PM.

Extremely satisfied with this trip. Facilities: The room was very clean, practically dust-free. The shower room was also spotless, with no water stains. The suite had two toilets and two sinks, one shower and one bathtub. The facilities were comprehensive. (It would have been perfect with a shoehorn!) Service: Excellent. Requests for water or blankets were responded to very quickly. The view from the window was half lake and half city, with large floor-to-ceiling windows offering a superb vista. The afternoon tea desserts at the executive lounge were exquisite, and the evening snacks were also delicious. The hotel's exterior design is very stylish. The unique concave and convex marble walls in the lobby are quite striking. The rooms are incredibly spacious, and the food at the 40th-floor restaurant is delicious. It's only about a 100-meter walk from the Poly Theatre, which is extremely convenient if you're catching a show. The front desk staff were also very helpful and provided excellent service.

Overall, the location is excellent. It's right next to Exit 1 and Exit 2 of Xuanwu Lake Station on Line 1. Exit 1 feels a bit closer. Walking a few minutes down the road directly opposite the hotel leads you to the entrance of Xuanwu Lake Scenic Area. You can enjoy beautiful views from the hotel's 20th-floor restaurant. The hotel is said to be the second one built in Nanjing after the founding of New China, so it has a long history. The room decor definitely feels dated, and the showerhead is quite old-fashioned. The staff also have a strong state-run enterprise vibe. Some of the restaurant staff are, frankly, a bit below industry standards in appearance, and their service enthusiasm is low (though it might be due to the hot weather). However, the room service response time is decent, and they offer late check-out. Now for the good parts: the breakfast truly exceeded expectations. They even had stewed pork trotters and salted pig trotters. Although it's advertised as a revolving restaurant, only the inner circle rotates; the outer seats are fixed. And about the complimentary afternoon tea, don't get your hopes up. It's very mediocre, just something to have while resting your feet (the last picture is the afternoon tea, for one person). Also, a twin room with breakfast on a summer weekend cost nearly 770 RMB, which isn't exactly economical.

Before we even arrived, the hotel reception informed us that our booked apartment had windows facing the corridor and offered a complimentary upgrade to a two-story, 100+ square meter apartment if we minded – I immediately accepted the upgrade. The apartment was spacious and spotless, and we were all very satisfied and grateful for the hotel's upgrade. The location is superb, with a wide variety of dining options and shopping malls everywhere. The front desk staff, security, and cleaning aunties were all very warm and friendly. It offers great value for money, and we will definitely stay here again next time we visit Nanjing.

Checking in took a very long time. Both members of staff were dealing with a group of Indonesian tourists and left me waiting. When I did check in, the lady wanted to see my last entry stamp, although I have a residence visa, so it should be irrelevant. I had to have my face scanned, which didn't happen last time I stayed here. I felt uncomfortable about this to be honest. Other than this the room was fine and had a comfortable stay but I just wish they would scrap all this unnecessary bureaucracy.

Traveled from Nanjing with my child for the weekend and chose the Kaiyuan Guchengwan Hotel – the experience was absolutely fantastic! Special thanks to our butler, Xiao Xia, for her thoughtful and attentive service. She coordinated our itinerary in advance and provided a detailed introduction to the hotel and surrounding area. Check-in was efficient upon arrival. We booked the Misty Rain Twin Room package, which was very convenient and close to the lobby. The hotel is located within a Jiangnan garden, far from the city's hustle and bustle. The environment is superb, with the sounds of insects and birds, and fresh air. The shuttle service into the scenic area was incredibly convenient. The room was spacious, with two 1.35m beds that we could push together, so we didn't have to worry about the child falling off. The separate wet and dry bathroom, the scenic floor-to-ceiling windows, and the balcony were particularly impressive. Watching the scenery from the room on a rainy day truly lived up to the name ”Misty Rain Room.” Whether it was borrowing items, booking the shuttle, or requesting a late check-out, our butler Xiao Xia handled everything quickly and properly. She was reliable in her work and genuinely kind to guests. We used the dinner included in the package; the vegetables were very fresh, suitable for both the elderly and children, and the fruit was exceptionally delicious. Breakfast offered a rich variety, and parking in the underground garage was convenient, making our travels stress-free. The children's playground was spacious, and the pool was very clean, making the little ones incredibly happy. The noodles from Hu Ji Noodle House, included in the package, were also delicious. The stir-fried shredded pork with green peppers, freshly made by the auntie, was so fragrant that my child and I ate every last bit. Our butler, Xiao Xia, provided meticulous care throughout our stay. Her service was delicate and warm, perfectly embodying a five-star service standard. This vacation was relaxed and pleasant, without any unpleasant incidents. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. The next time we visit Guchengwan, we'll definitely look for Butler Xiao Xia again!

The hotel is about a 7-8 minute walk from the subway station. We didn't take the subway, but there's a bus stop nearby, not far from the hotel entrance. A taxi to Nanjing South Station wasn't expensive, under 20 RMB for a 20-minute ride, so pretty affordable. Xiao Gao at the front desk was very diligent and responsible. We arrived at the hotel around 3 PM, and she promptly checked if our room was ready, upgraded our room type, and even gave us free breakfast for signing up as a member – we really appreciated that. The room was quite spacious. Although it faced a street, it was surprisingly quiet with the windows closed, so the soundproofing of the windows and doors was quite good. The washing machines and gym are on the 9th floor. You have to take the elevator to the 8th floor, walk through some guest rooms, and then take the stairs up, which is a little inconvenient. Also, the air conditioning on the 9th floor wasn't on, and washing clothes seemed to take 30 minutes. There were quite a few guests doing laundry in the evening, so waiting in that stuffy environment was a bit uncomfortable. The complimentary breakfast was good, with plenty of choices. On the second morning, I remembered that coffee was included and they made me a fresh-ground coffee, which was really nice and tasted much better than coffee from an automatic machine. The only downside was that there were some small mosquitoes or flies hovering around and even landing on the cold dishes, fruits, and bread. I feel this is an area for improvement. I stayed at five other hotels of similar or even slightly lower quality on this trip and never encountered this issue. However, I did see a staff member diligently taking photos of the restaurant and food, so I hope they're monitoring the situation and will pay attention to this in the future, as my family really likes your hotel and we hope to stay again. Additionally, there's an Old City South restaurant downstairs that serves good food. Across from the hotel, there's also a takeaway shop where you can buy Qingtuan and other snacks, which is very convenient.
