Our stay at Crowne Plaza Shenzhen Futian exceeded all expectations! The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the CBD and subway station, making travel extremely convenient. The front desk staff Cobe and Sakee were warm and efficient, and they upgraded our room. The room is spacious and bright, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a fantastic view. The bedding is highly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. A special mention goes to Rina for her outstanding service! The fitness center and heated swimming pool have new facilities that are well-maintained. Every detail reflects a five-star standard. The breakfast is also excellent! Whether for business trips or leisure vacations, this is an ideal choice in Shenzhen, and we will definitely stay here again next time!

Excellent location, nice big rooms, great breakfast… but what made this hotel stand out was the service. It was my dad’s birthday and they arranged for a cake to be ready for him when he returned in the evening… what a lovely surprise! After checking out, I left my luggage for safe keeping, but I lost the ticket when I went back for pick up. A big shout out to Zoey and Richard at Hilton for helping me out and I was able to reclaim my luggage really quickly and without stress! The only negative I have to say was that I purchased the afternoon tea and happy hour package, but the afternoon tea was just some ham sandwiches, fruits, cakes and drinks on a “help yourself” system. Not quite the 5-star quality I expected. I will definitely come back but will only go for the breakfast option as that was really nice.

Luxurious as expected. The lobby was decked in Christmas cheer and I'm impressed they even have a mini carousel in the lobby for young guests. Location is good, within 5 mins walking distance to Futian Railway Exit 10 (where you can catch a train to Hong Kong), 10 mins walking distance to Futian Exhibition Centre and a metro station on a few lines and surrounded by malls including LinkCity which has many food and shopping options. The room is spacious and clean, well-maintained but dated. Wide selection of amenities including pillow options and I love that I can requests for these through their mini prog in WeChat. Bed is a little soft for my liking. Service is tip tops from the concierge to front desk to housekeeping to Lobby Lounge. Certainly my choice of hotel when I next return to Shenzhen.

Pros - Both our rooms at level 10 were relatively close to each other facing the Wong Tee Plaza. It might be a way of the said front desk staff allocating these rooms to us to compensate for our unpleasant check in experience (see below). Spectacular views and we managed to spectate the night light show on Saturday without needing to go to the Civic Centre. - Facilities are great including 24-hour well equipped gym and sauna (best of all hotels in China we experienced so far). - Rooms are relatively new and fully equipped with necessities, has a dyson air dryer, Toto automatic toilet, automated curtains and a steamer to iron the clothes. - Breakfast had a lot of varieties to offer (personally loved the oden and sushi section), good service too. - Housekeeping was amazing. As I was leaving my room, Joy asked if we were interested in their laundry services and we declined as we do not have much laundry to do. After the first day of housekeeping, she noticed we did simple laundry (1-2 pieces of undergarment) and offered us a complimentary mini laundry detergent. We appreciate her thoughtfulness despite the fact that we initially declined her services. - Check out was relatively seamless, I believe it was the front office manager that managed our check out and explained the deposit refund procedures accordingly. - Concierge was decent too as they suggested we are better off getting a Didi to transfer our move to our next destination, and helped us load our bags to the Didi. Cons The only downside experience was check in. We requested if it would be possible to have interconnecting rooms (all good if not, at least as close to each other as possible within the same floor). We were advised that given interconnecting rooms are not available for the same type of rooms: 1.The staff provided an offer (upgrade to one of the bigger rooms that has interconnecting room with free 3 days hotel breakfast for 2 out of 4 pax). The quote/offer was outside of our budget hence we declined the offer and we just accept our original booking via Trip.com with no interconnecting rooms. 2.After we declined, the staff informed us that she miscalculated the price (from RMB 31k down to RMB 20k) for the same offer. This is very odd/confusing to us especially with the price difference due to miscalculation, and she was trying to push this offer to us again which we declined. At this point, whatever price quoted to us of this offer lost its credibility and we proceeded to stick to our original booking. 3.The staff said that she will notify us via WeChat (she added us on WeChat) once the room is ready. Understood at that time it was before check in time (i.e. before 3pm) hence we decided to grab lunch and come back after the check in time. It was past 3pm and we heard nothing from her upon returning to hotel and had to approach the front desk to ask for an update. The same staff managed to provide us key card for one of the rooms while the other room is still not ready (it was past 3:20pm at that time). She said that she will arrange one of her coworkers to deliver the keycards to us once that other room is ready. Around 3:50-4:20pm, we heard nothing (I walked past the other room and noted the housekeeping has finished cleaning up the room and left). I had to go to the front desk to request an update and eventually obtained the keycard. I am not sure if the above stems from the individual's motivation or if this is part of the hotel's standard procedure to aggressively upsell (even if we already said no) or if the front desk is pressured to meet monthly KPIs, but that left us an unpleasant check in experience and obviously did not represent the check in hospitality standards of the hotel itself. Aside from the check in, we loved everything hence we had to give 4 out of 5.

Night shift assistant manager's service attitude: 0/5 Last night, something unexpected happened. We checked in at 4 AM, and around 5 AM, the turndown service staff, after ringing the doorbell with no response, swiped their card and opened the door. This startled my girlfriend, who was sound asleep, as she thought I had returned. After we checked in, she fell fast asleep. I quietly went downstairs to the bar for a drink. Then, I suddenly received a message saying someone had opened the door and entered, thinking it was me returning. I immediately rushed back upstairs to check. I believe the room service attendant was just following procedure, so I don't fault them. However, the professionalism and attitude of the night shift assistant manager were truly disappointing. I frequently stay in hotels, so I know to put out the 'Do Not Disturb' sign. But I never imagined that after checking in at 4 AM, someone would swipe into the room for turndown service barely an hour later. I've stayed in five-star hotels for decades and have never encountered such unprofessionalism – assuming a recently checked-in guest isn't in the room. Anyway, she really liked the two complimentary cups they sent afterward, so I won't give you a one-star review. I'll give you five stars, hoping you can be as good as Four Seasons worldwide. Please ask guests if they need turndown service before they check in. I hope to see an improvement next time I visit.

Another Fabulous stay, from start to finish. This hotel is becoming a second home in Shenzhen! It was not my first stay at the Shangri-La Luohu, and it will not be the last. I missed the pulse and liveliness of the marketplace at Shenzhen port, and the Shangri-La is perfectly located for an incredible stay. It’s a friendly place to stay with the warmest of welcomes. The Shangri-La reception team shared helpful suggestions on where to go and how to get there, suggestions that made a difference. The room standard has been consistent. The city view room was bright, with a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. The amenities are fantastic with a well-kept sauna and jacuzzi. I would like to extend a huge thank you to the team who were a pleasure to chat with and get to know. I hope the weekend brings you a lovely moment in your diverse neighbourhood :)

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the service was warm and proactive. The surrounding amenities were excellent, making it fully deserving of a top recommendation. Since I arrived earlier on the check-in day, the front desk very kindly arranged for an early check-in. After confirming I was a Trip.com member, they proactively assigned me the highest floor room with the best view. The hotel has a private beach, and all staff, including concierge, housekeeping, and restaurant personnel, were friendly and automatically helpful. The surrounding area has everything you could wish for: attractions, shopping malls, a metro station, and a public beach. It's definitely the perfect choice for a relaxing vacation.

Had a great stay! The hotel's location is pretty good, close to the subway station, about a 10-minute walk. It's connected to 3 subway lines, making getting around very convenient, especially Line 11, which goes directly to the airport in less than an hour. There's also a shopping mall right next door, so shopping is a breeze. I stayed in an executive room, and the layout and flow were very well-designed. Some of the facilities showed thoughtful attention to detail, and the British-style decor was very comfortable. The square bathtub was quite unique – it was great to watch TV while taking a bath. The double sinks were a nice touch, and the shower had excellent water pressure with a good hot water supply. Room service was prompt, even though some amenities were out of stock. Their explanations and handling of the situation were spot-on, so I was still very impressed! The breakfast had a wide variety of options, and the dining experience was good. Cheong fun (rice noodle rolls) and ramen were made to order, and there were cards on the tables to prevent long queues and crowding. The lounge's afternoon tea had a rich selection and was delicious. The evening light meal was decent one day but not so good on another. The male staff in the lounge were very friendly and attentive, while the female staff were a bit more formal. The gym and swimming pool were both quite clean. Overall, it was a very positive experience. Recommended!

This was a perfect hotel for us to land after a long international flight with young kids; huge hotel and compound which likely had its prime when it was first built 20 years ago; it needs a lot of maintenance and upkeep but the standout of it was its nature park access which is a must with young kids; so beautiful and lots of fun. It would be so nice if it became more popular again so they can restore the place to its former glory. Workers were really warm and friendly; breakfast was a nice touch.

My stay at Grand Hyatt Shenzhen was absolutely amazing! 😍 The location is perfect, right next to the mall and shopping areas, which made everything so convenient. We booked the Club King Room and enjoyed full executive lounge benefits. The room was huge and extremely comfortable; we slept so well and felt fully rested every morning. The breakfast and dinner at the hotel were outstanding with excellent variety, from delicious Chinese dishes to authentic Western options. 🍽️ The gym was also very complete and great for daily workouts. 💪 Special thanks to Chrystal at the reception. Even when it was super busy during check-in and check-out, she took such good care of us. She was incredibly sweet and welcoming, which made our whole stay feel extra special. Even nearby attractions are introduced one by one. Although the response is not immediate, you don’t have to wait too long; The facilities are very complete. The bathroom supplies are all there. The refrigerator can freeze (which is good for a normal hotel). There is a giant screen with movies to watch, but VIPs can't watch them. However, you can use Air View, and you can prepare your own movies if necessary. There are two sets of kimonos for everyone to take photos, and the surfaces are very clean. There are also sufficient charging stations in the room, and a charging cable is provided. The bathtub is on the terrace, with disposable bath bags provided. Thank you for the shuttlle from the metro, the welcome fruit, the present at the end of stay! The restaurant”s dinner was delicious, and we were grateful for the paper based menu, and not a QR code. The bathtub was lifesaving after 2 weeks walking. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, we loved the little animals in the garden, and the whole place was like in a Miyazaki movie. We wanted a specific view with a bathtub next to the window, and the lady at the front desk (sorry, I forgot the name) helped us meet our request by upgrading our room. The view was fantastic!!! We tried the swimming pool, gym - all good. Breakfast was good with a variety of both Chinese and western food (come early to avoid crowds). Thank you, Blank Xia for the smooth check out process and the service. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend St.Regis for fantastic views, good service and great location!

The room was very clean and new, and the hotel lobby was quite grand. The breakfast and dinner buffet at the restaurant were also good, and the staff were very enthusiastic. Overall, it's a five-star experience. The only minor drawback was that the check-in staff seemed a bit unprofessional. When I wanted to take my child to the Kids Club (Yuequ Ting) around 5 PM, she said it closed at 6 PM and didn't smile at all. She didn't mention any of the hotel facilities or services. Later, other staff members told me it actually closed at 9 PM. Aside from that, the other experiences were all great. It's indeed close to the airport, only a ten-minute drive, which is very convenient. It's a great choice if you're traveling with kids and don't want to rush around.

Huge thanks to the duty manager, Elliott! He was incredibly patient and thoughtful. Seeing that we had a very young child, he kindly arranged for our fruit and even put our twin beds together in advance, which was so warm and professional. This Intercontinental is truly a paradise for families with kids! Located in Shenzhen city center, it's like an urban oasis. The outdoor pool is huge and even has a sandy beach. The only minor issue was the boat, which had just been repainted and had a strong odor. In the afternoon, there are bubble parties. They also have a free merry-go-round and you can feed the fish. It's conveniently located, and ordering food delivery is easy. My only real complaint is that the room design feels a bit dated, and the bed faces the sliding bathroom door. Also, if your room faces the outdoor play area, be prepared for some noise from people singing karaoke late at night. Still, these are minor issues that don't detract from the overall experience.

The only downside is that out of three pools, one is always closed for cleaning during operating hours, except on weekends. I don't quite understand why they clean it during open hours. Plus, the front desk didn't mention it at check-in, nor did anyone say anything when I went swimming, but I got kicked out halfway through my swim. It's a bit old, for sure. The TV was a little broken, and some outlets weren't working, but considering the price, it's still good value.
