What is the Batam Arrival Card (AIAC)?
The Batam Arrival Card is officially part of the AIAC (All Indonesia Arrival Card) system. Launched by the Indonesian government, this all-in-one digital declaration form is mandatory for all international travelers entering major ports and airports in Indonesia, including Batam's popular ferry terminals (like Batam Center, Harbour Bay, and Sekupang).
The AIAC merges three critical travel steps into a single online form:
- Immigration Entry Records
- Electronic Customs Declaration (e-CD)
- Health Declaration (which completely replaces the old SATUSEHAT Health Pass)
Important: This is not a visa. It is a mandatory declaration form. Both foreign visitors and returning Indonesian citizens must complete it before clearing border control.

Go to the official Indonesian Immigration website at allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id or download the "All Indonesia" mobile app. Switch the language setting to English in the top-right corner.

When your ferry docks at the Batam terminal, follow these steps to breeze through immigration:

I have been to this place many times since 2020, if I’m not mistaken. It's an amazing location, akin to visiting old friends in an unfamiliar setting, with excellent service from the hospitality staff. They understand your needs and largely provide what you desire. I felt as though I was being pampered by a butler in a premium hotel.
Marriott hotels offer a 24-hour gym, sauna/steam room, and room service. The rooms are beautifully designed, featuring comfortable beds and luxury pillows that are specially designed for relaxation.
The leisure activities within the hotel area are excellent, and the Harbour Bay ferry exit is just a 10-minute walk to the right, where you can discover some very affordable local food restaurants, such as Bay City Seafood. We particularly enjoyed the steamed black grouper and steamed silver pomfret. Just let the waitress know if you prefer less sauce to reduce the saltiness.
For personal care, there is a salon near the Swiss-Bel Hotel. I paid less than S$20, including tips, for an hour of foot reflexology or a body massage.
For breakfast, there is a variety of cooked foods, ice cream, yogurt, desserts, breads, cakes, salads, and more. We enjoyed the carrot and orange juice, and at the hotel, you can order any juice or drink you prefer. Next time I visit, I plan to order smoothies for my breakfast.

An Excellent Stay with a Perfect Location!
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was genuinely impressed with the overall experience. The location is one of its biggest advantages — BCS Mall, Grand Batam Mall, Alfamart, Indomaret, Fore Coffee, and plenty of local street food are all within walking distance. It’s incredibly convenient and makes exploring the surrounding area so easy.
The room was exceptionally clean, neat, well-organised, and smelled fresh and pleasant. Everything was well taken care of, which made the room very comfortable to return to after a long day. The only minor improvement I would suggest is some maintenance for the flooring and the bathroom door.
The breakfast was another highlight. There was a great variety of food to choose from, and the taste was genuinely good. There were plenty of options, so it was easy to find something enjoyable for breakfast.
The service was also excellent. Both the front desk and housekeeping teams were friendly, welcoming, helpful, and attentive throughout my stay. Their warm and professional service really made the experience even better.
Overall, this hotel offers an excellent combination of a fantastic location, cleanliness, good breakfast, and outstanding service. I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely be happy to stay here again on my next visit to Batam.

We stayed for two nights and had a truly wonderful experience. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, especially the bed and pillows. Having a balcony facing the garden was a lovely bonus.
The surroundings were relaxing and peaceful, with a warm atmosphere and direct access to a clean, private beach.
The staff were welcoming, helpful and always ready with a friendly smile. Our kids had a great time enjoying the big pool, cycling, ping pong, gym and the dedicated kids’ room for children under 12. The breakfast buffet offered good variety and was satisfying each morning.

This was quite a large hotel. As I took the elevator from the lobby to my room, I noticed a peculiar smell in the hallway. The scent in the elevator also didn't quite agree with me; it seemed to be from an automatic air freshener that just wasn't to my liking. I also caught a faint whiff of cigarette smoke while walking down the corridor. On the positive side, breakfast was absolutely superb – truly the best buffet meal. My only real issue was the smell in the accommodation. The staff were friendly, and I highly recommend trying the breakfast buffet. They had a great selection of fruits and various other dishes. Location is great, but cleanliness of the apartment could be better. There is a lot of dust and it was dirty underneath the double bed, which was slightly evaluated and could have been cleaned easily. My wife has to sweep the floor when we first check in. Pillows could be more firm. Sink chocked up when frequently used , but it was a small matter as we are out of the house a lot . Unfortunately, my overall experience during this stay was quite disappointing, and I feel there is still a significant gap between the hotel’s standards and the actual guest experience.
First of all, the breakfast selection was quite limited. On the second day, the spring onions served at breakfast were already dry and wilted, giving the impression that they had been left overnight. They certainly did not look fresh, which was rather concerning in terms of food quality.
The cleanliness and maintenance of the room also need improvement. The glass windows were covered with obvious wiping marks, making them look dull and far from clean or bright. The bed sheets, duvet covers and bath towels also looked quite old and worn, with some appearing dark and discoloured. This made the room feel less clean and comfortable than expected.
The soundproofing was particularly poor. When the neighbouring room played music, the sound was so clear that it felt as though the music was playing inside our own room. This seriously affected our ability to rest.
The bathroom could also be more thoughtfully designed. The shower head was positioned too low and would be much more convenient if it were installed higher. Not every guest prefers using a bathtub, so providing a more practical and comfortable shower option would give guests greater choice.
I hope the hotel will focus not only on its appearance and marketing, but also on the basic details that directly affect the guest experience, especially cleanliness, bedding and towels, soundproofing, breakfast quality and room facilities. Based on this stay, there is definitely considerable room for improvement.FromSEK 407

Though we booked e sea view bungalow wanting e unblock sea view , we were terrorized by its space & clustured phobic. Dun mention e amount of stairs down and up if u wanna go out fm ur room..Small & balcony & beyond to b seated. Thank god, the deluxe room was avail & we moved. (finally we can breathe & happy).

If you’re just looking to chill at the hotel and the beach with family, it’s a good option.
