Staying at this five-star hotel was absolutely worth it! I stayed for 3 days and every day was comfortable. I chose a high floor, and when I pulled back the curtains, the view was incredible. It was so pleasant to soak up the sun during the day. When checking out, I mentioned needing an invoice, and the staff member, Lily, was incredibly efficient. She got it ready in no time, was very gentle, and answered all my questions. I didn't encounter any problems during my stay; the experience was incredibly smooth. I'd definitely want to stay here again next time I'm in the area!

As the the five star scent wafts on to the street, we have returned to our home away from home for the 17th Annual Captivating Charity Ball. Futian Shangri-La has fabulous amenities, floral centerpieces. My favorites are on the fourth floor and include the rooftop garden. Beautiful accommodation with minor challenges: ◦ High deposit and no points if you don’t book on Shangri-La Circle. ◦ Twin beds pushed together are not at all comfortable in the middle. ◦ Bedside outlet is near the floor instead of the nightstand. ◦ Carpet leaves something to be desired. Food, too. ◦ Bring your swim cap, they do not sell them. Shangri La Hotel & Residences offers underground parking. Excellent in room service. Lots to do see and enjoy within walking distance. This hotel absolutely deserves a five-star rating! I can't rave enough about its amazing location and thoughtful service! 📍 The location is simply fantastic – the subway entrance is just 50 meters away, there's a huge shopping mall right next door, and downstairs you'll find convenience stores and popular bubble tea shops. For someone as lazy as me, it's incredibly convenient! 💁 And the service? Impeccable! The front desk staff were beautiful and welcoming, and as soon as the concierge saw us with luggage, they immediately rushed over to help. Every day when we returned, we were greeted with warm smiles from the staff, and our room was spotless. They even arranged my cosmetics neatly. The attention to detail really made an impression – this stay was perfect! I've already recommended it to all my girlfriends! I'm definitely booking this place again next time. The young lady at the front desk who checked me in around 3 PM was very professional and exceptionally polite. The hotel room was spacious, and the bed was huge. It's an older hotel, which is perfectly understandable, and for just an overnight stay, I think it was comfortable and totally fine. However, I really need to mention the hotel breakfast, which I believe needs significant improvement. Firstly, there's very little variety. Secondly, it seemed unhygienic or perhaps the food wasn't fresh... My husband and I both got diarrhea after eating breakfast and returning to our room! My stomach started hurting in the elevator on the way back to the room after breakfast, and I almost didn't make it to the toilet in time. Before eating, we were both perfectly fine with no discomfort, as we always use the restroom after waking up in the morning. I distinctly remember everything I ate for breakfast, and I didn't even eat much! I had a small bowl of dace fish, peanut, and pork bone congee, two small pieces of boiled corn, a tea egg, two small cups of hot milk, a small cup of hot blackberry tea, a little vegetable salad, and four small multigrain buns (I gave one to my husband). Unexpectedly, I had diarrhea all day yesterday, and I'm still feeling weak at work today.

I was very satisfied with my stay. My friend was coming over, and we planned to go to Hong Kong together, so I booked the Metropark Hotel, which is right above Shaibu subway station. It's really convenient to just go downstairs and take the subway directly to Luohu Port for border crossing. My friend even commented that they'd never stayed in a hotel with such a spacious room before. The room's amenities were complete, even including a dehumidifier. The hotel staff's service attitude was also excellent. Winnie, who assisted us, had a great attitude and even gave us a small panda gift bag. What a pleasant surprise! I didn't expect this hotel to offer such outstanding value for money. The room, at over 50 square meters, was incredibly spacious and fully equipped with all amenities. What truly exceeded my expectations was the bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak. The room was impeccably clean, comfortable, and spotless! The sea view was absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, it was continuously overcast and rainy during my three-day stay, so I missed out on seeing the clear blue sky and a beautiful sunrise. That's why I absolutely must return! Both the hotel's Western buffet breakfast and dinner were very satisfying. On my second evening, I also dined at the Chinese restaurant and was equally impressed. We had an amazing stay at the Langham. The view was incredible, check-in was very smooth and we could check-in earlier than the time. Mike was extremely helpful too! He was so kind with helping us with 4 heavy suitcases, bringing it to the car and loading it on for us. Thank you so much Mike. The gym is quite small but it does have a variety of equipment. Both indoor and outdoor pools are lovely. One thing I will say though…there seems to be a muggy smell in the rooms. Very comfortable! The three-bedroom unit was quite spacious, equipped with a dining table, a large refrigerator, a washing machine, and a dryer, making daily life very convenient. Individual air conditioning units were installed in the living area and every room, and the cooling was powerful. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, and items were slow to be replenished. On weekends, if you went late, there was usually no place to sit and hardly any food left. Whatever you do, *avoid* the swimming pool! Within 100 meters, there's a beachfront restaurant perfect for photos, and a charming little shop with a wide array of wellness products. About 800 meters further, you'll find many seafood restaurants. We snagged a great group deal for over 100 RMB, which was enough for two people and included fresh seafood! This guesthouse stay was absolutely amazing! From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by its exquisite design. The interior decor is simple yet stylish, with every corner thoughtfully arranged and decorative items that show a real artistic touch. The outdoor courtyard is also fantastic, with white archways, lush greenery, and a sparkling pool. When the lights come on at night, the ambiance is incredible, making you feel like you're in a romantic resort. The comfort level was beyond words; the bedding in the room was incredibly soft and felt great against the skin – lying on it was like being wrapped in a cloud, and I slept soundly until I woke up naturally. The amenities were also complete, convenient to use, and felt high-quality. The bar in the common area had a really chic design; sitting on a high stool with a drink was incredibly relaxing. And the scenery was simply stunning! The large window in the room was like a 'picture frame.' During the day, you could see green trees, distant mountains, and water under blue skies and white clouds, offering a wide-open view that instantly brightened my mood. In the evening, the sunset glow spilled in, painting the sky a warm yellow – it was so beautiful I couldn't tear my eyes away. Any photo taken looked like a postcard. The hygiene was also very reassuring; the furniture and bathroom in the room were spotless, without a speck of dust, and the bedding and towels smelled fresh. JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen This time I stayed at the JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen, which has always had an excellent reputation, and the views were absolutely spectacular! The welcome fruit platter came with the JW logo and special rosemary cookies, which was a nice touch – definitely not the usual 'traffic light' assortment. The hairdryer wasn't a Dyson, but the amenities were the standard JW AA products, and the drinking water was custom-bottled Bama water. The executive lounge offerings were quite impressive for a Marriott property, and having fresh-squeezed juice was a definite plus. The room itself was very spacious, with a Chinese luxury aesthetic. The living room area was ample, and having a guest bathroom made it feel like a proper suite. The room's view was good, despite the building not being particularly tall. The public areas were well-designed. The changing rooms had both hot and cold plunge pools, which was fantastic, especially since many hotels no longer offer this. The hotel's guest services team was superb! From check-in to check-out, they provided attentive and thoughtful service, truly going above and beyond to make us feel valued and cared for. They were incredibly considerate and thorough! Breakfast was extensive, with local Cantonese specialties. The coffee at the lobby bar was made with Peet's coffee beans, which is absolutely, unequivocally worth trying out!

We stayed at The St. Regis Shenzhen to celebrate our anniversary, and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt personal, genuine, and full of warmth. A heartfelt thank-you to Chief Butler Faust and his team, especially Alice, for making our stay so special. Every detail was thoughtful — from the elegant room and beautiful view to the surprise anniversary room decoration and the genuine care they showed throughout our stay. They even went above and beyond by inviting us to experience the signature saber-opening champagne ritual, which made our celebration truly unforgettable!

The hotel is located about 500 meters from the subway entrance, making transportation super convenient. There are also many dining and shopping options nearby, which is simply a perfect choice for tourists. The service is impeccable. I'd especially like to commend Xiao Ying at the front desk for her warm service. Every time I encountered a staff member, they would greet me with a smile, which felt very welcoming. I must specifically praise their mattress and pillows; they are just right in firmness, ensuring a dreamless sleep until morning. This is the greatest blessing for frequent business travelers.

This is an established chain hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, offering good privacy. To get from the parking lot to the room, you need to take two elevators and tap your card. We had a child with us who accidentally spilled milk tea on the duvet (picture 5). We reported it to the hotel, and they immediately sent staff to handle it. They said they would try to clean it first, and if successful, they wouldn't charge us a cleaning fee. In the end, we weren't charged, which shows their warm and thoughtful service. The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk from the seaside boardwalk, where you can see Shenzhen's largest Yantian Port. It's perfect for a stroll with kids. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time.

The room was quite spacious, and although the facilities were a bit dated, they were practical. The bed was comfortable, and the view was excellent; I could clearly see Window of the World when I drew back the curtains, and it was even better at night. The staff were warm and genuine, proactively helping with luggage and opening car doors. The only drawback was that the soundproofing wasn't great for rooms on the Window of the World side, so it could get a bit noisy when there was heavy traffic or when music was playing at Window of the World during the day.

The essence of a luxury brand truly shines through at the Mandarin Oriental Shenzhen. The entire service team consistently greeted us with smiles, and their responses to our requests were prompt, active, and enthusiastic. From the moment we stepped out of the car and were greeted by the concierge, through check-in at the front desk, and during our stay with guest relations, I must specifically commend Tipo. Their quick replies and generous enthusiasm made us feel truly at home. The location offers direct access to UpperHills, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The room's hard furnishings met expectations, and the lounge offerings were clearly meticulously prepared, not some generic, pre-made fare. I look forward to my next visit!

Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport Shenzhen|26.69km from city center
Facilities: The hotel facilities are very complete. Cleanliness: It was very clean. Environment: The environment was surprisingly pleasant. I even saw some nice scenery from the hotel's rooftop garden. It's quite a unique view for such a busy place as Shenzhen Airport. Service: The hotel service was excellent. For passengers flying, they even offer the convenient service of going through first-class security. The express check-out point is right on the way to the airport terminal, so you don't have to go back to the front desk, which is very thoughtful. Among airport hotels, this Hyatt at Shenzhen Bao'an Airport is truly well-designed. The first-class security and fast check-out are both very useful. Upon entering the room, there's a very special design: the hotel, knowing it's close to the airport runway, was clearly concerned about disturbing guests' sleep. Inside the outer window of the guest room, there's another floor-to-ceiling door. I tried it myself, and opening and closing this window/door makes a huge difference in noise perception. Being able to sleep peacefully without noise at an airport hotel felt pretty good.

Facilities: The facilities are comprehensive, I didn't feel like anything was missing, and many weren't even used. The only minor inconvenience was the lack of hooks in the shower, so I had to place my bath towel outside. Environment: I thought the view from the higher floors was quite good. However, the bathroom's exhaust fan system was a bit noisy at times, which could be improved. Service: It was decent, nothing extraordinary. They cleaned the room daily during my extended stay. Hygiene: The cleanliness was good; I didn't see any unclean foreign objects. Overall, I was quite satisfied.

## Facilities: Overall, the hotel feels quite dated, and the facilities are relatively old-fashioned. There's no robot service for things like food delivery. Since the hotel has a pool, it would be great if they could provide a drying rack on the balcony. I called the service center to ask if they could provide one, and the front desk told me to wait for a callback, but I never heard back. ## Hygiene: The hygiene was good. Although it's an older hotel, it was clean. ## Environment: The environment was excellent. I originally booked a mountain-view room, but the hotel upgraded me to a sea-view room for free, which I really appreciate. ## Service: The staff's service attitude was excellent. ## 200 RMB SPA Voucher: This wasn't useful for me. ## Shekou Ferry Terminal Shuttle Bus (requires 2-hour advance booking): This wasn't applicable to me.

We recently stayed at the InterContinental Shenzhen with our family—our 3-year-old daughter, 12-year-old son, my wife, and me—and we absolutely loved it! The hotel is wonderfully child-friendly, with activities that kept our kids delighted throughout. The pirate-themed swimming pool was a standout; our children didn’t want to leave! Our daughter especially adored the train that circles the swimming play area, adding a magical touch to their fun. The gym area is excellent, offering a great space for adults to unwind and stay active. The bar and restaurant exceeded our expectations, and breakfast was superb, featuring an impressive selection of both Chinese and Western dishes to suit every taste. A big thank you to @Dafne 达芙妮 for making our entire stay so special — her thoughtful service truly enhanced our experience. We have been returning to this hotel since our son was 2 years old, and thanks to Dafne, this visit was extra memorable. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

Nan'ao Shenzhen|43.28km from city center
Stayed here with my boyfriend for 1 night as we needed a relaxing getaway from Hong Kong. Booked the hotel very last minute (3 hours before we arrived) and it exceeded our expectations! We came during the week so the area itself was not busy (as i’ve read it can get on the weekends) so it was perfect for us to have some peace and quiet. The hotel is ON the beach and there are activities that can be done from there (kayaking, jet ski etc). There are cute little coffee shops/restaurants all within walking distance and in the evening there was entertainment on the beach including an open air cinema with beach chairs for guests. We booked a room with a jacuzzi on the balcony which was lovely in the evening. The room was very clean, the king size bed was huge and we were able to watch english movies via the projector! (Even travelling in the city at more well known hotels, we have had trouble watching english language tv/movies so this was a bonus for us) In the morning we asked for late check out (very last minute) and they let us stay for an additional hour. Also, breakfast was included but we missed the allocated time and they texted us via wechat to offer to bring up 2 plates AND coffee which they did not have to do but was so appreciated. Overall, we needed to relax and this hotel was perfect. We will definitely be returning again AND recommending to our friends.

The great part is the location very convenient few minutes walk to MRT Hua Qiang Lu and shopping mall. And the price is affordable and consider cheap. I stay in level 5 corner unit, from window can see the main shopping mall  but a bit noisy from the car sound even if I closed the window. The roof top having 2 whaling machines for clothing . But I only found it on my last day. I stayed 3 nights in Maker Hotel.

Huanggang Port and Futian Port Shenzhen|3.51km from city center
The hotel has a great location, very close to Futian Port, making customs clearance super convenient. Futian Mangrove Ecological Park is also nearby, which is perfect for a post-breakfast stroll. The front desk staff, especially one young lady, was incredibly helpful and patient; she gave very detailed directions to the ecological park. The breakfast in the restaurant was also excellent. The room itself was spacious with a good view, offering a distant glimpse of Hong Kong and Shenzhen Bay's inner sea. The bedding was clean and tidy, and all toiletries were provided. Plus, having a washer-dryer combo in the room made it excellent value for money, especially when traveling with elderly family members and children.

Comfortable stay at this hotel with a very spacious area for families to stay overnight for at least 2 nights. On the street next to the hotel, local food stores are available to fill up your stomach. Only need to take a cab if you want to get over to the nearest shopping mall. In addition, a big swimming pool for kids to have a swim fun. 🏊♀️
