I rarely give full marks, but for 800 yuan for Regency Club access, what more could you ask for? Thank goodness for the owner's initial aggressive expansion. Even though the hotel has been open for six or seven years, everything still looks new, and the cleanliness is exceptional. Hyatt's design, as always, is superb; this particular hotel's design is truly outstanding. Both the rooms and public areas have a great vibe. The dining is also quite good, with plenty of variety and well-prepared dishes—definitely up to standard for a five-star hotel. The happy hour is one of the best I've experienced in this category, offering three hot dishes, soup, congee, and a noodle station. The alcoholic drinks are decent. The service is excellent, and I'd like to specially thank Victoria, Emily, and Olivia. This hotel is in an excellent location, less than a ten-minute walk to Gongbei Port. Nearby, there's an oyster and chicken hotpot restaurant open until past 2 AM, and the Jin Yue Xuan restaurant is also within a ten-minute walk. Right outside, you can find Lover's Road, perfect for cycling with a distant view of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge.
The InterContinental's breakfast is impeccable, always a benchmark in the industry. The rooms are generally very well thought out. Although I didn't get a sea view room this time, the bathtub was huge—I'm 1.8 meters tall and could fully stretch out my legs.

After my kids finished their final exams, I fulfilled my promise to bring the whole family to Starryland Campsite Resort next to Zhuhai Airport for a three-day stay, specifically for them to relax and de-stress. The entire experience exceeded our expectations, with food, accommodation, and entertainment all-in-one, completely eliminating the need for any planning.
There's a wide variety of accommodation options, with RVs and cabins offering a wonderful ambiance. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the facilities were comprehensive; the kids were thrilled as soon as they walked in. The resort's dining options are excellent, with a buffet restaurant and a BBQ market offering everything you could want. The food was kid-friendly and reasonably priced, so we didn't have to go out for any of our three meals.
The core attraction, Starryland Powerless Park, was a source of pure joy for the kids. They played non-stop on the deep-sea maze, high-altitude climbing, pedal go-karts, and at the water park. The ticket allows multiple entries, so when they got tired, they could go back to the room to rest and then return to play more. In the evening, there was a bubble show, and at night, there were iron-flower performances and bonfire shows, creating an amazing atmosphere.
The resort environment is serene, with photo-op spots everywhere. The electric shuttle made getting around convenient, and the staff were warm and attentive. Our three-day trip was relaxed and enjoyable. The kids completely released their exam stress and played so much every day that they didn't want to go back to their rooms. We didn't have to travel to multiple locations; all our dining, accommodation, and activities were within the resort, making it easy and comfortable for parents with kids. Our stay in the garden view room was delightful. The elegant decor and soft furnishings created a wonderful ambiance. The entire resort boasts beautiful scenery; the flamingo viewing area and dolphin pool are perfect for snapping Instagram-worthy photos. The hotel's water park was far less crowded than the one at Ocean Kingdom, making for a much more enjoyable experience. The room cleaning standards were impeccable. The floors, windowsills, nightstand crevices, and even the bathroom glass were spotless, free of water stains or hair, and the bathroom had no unpleasant smells. All the bedding was fresh and new, with no stains on the pillows or mattress. The room's private balcony provided excellent ventilation, effectively mitigating any dampness from the sea.
The hotel's yacht shuttle service offered a unique experience, transporting us directly to Ocean Kingdom. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a culinary delight, with surprisingly delicious dishes made from fresh ingredients. The staff were friendly, and their service was prompt and attentive. At the buffet, all tableware was high-temperature sterilized, the food was neatly arranged, and staff were quick to clear table waste. This hotel had two standout positives:
1. **Excellent Location:** It's incredibly close to the beach. Downstairs, there are public buses to all the attractions, as well as tour buses.
2. **Great Convenience:** Staying here felt very convenient. They provided a full range of items, such as free rental of sand-digging tools, tape for sending packages, nail clippers, plastic slippers, and chargers – truly everything you could need.
However, there were also two significant negatives:
1. **Cigarette Smoke in the Room:** When trying to sleep, there was a persistent smell of cigarette smoke around the bed. Of course, this isn't the hotel's fault directly, but rather due to inconsiderate guests smoking in the room. The smoke had absorbed into the velvet headboard and carpet. This really highlights the need for the hotel to implement stricter management and clearly enforce a no-smoking policy in the rooms.

I've been here several times now, and as always, I'm completely satisfied! I think I've stayed in all the room types, but my favorite is still the Yuying Villa. The food is consistently excellent too; it would be even better if there were more fruit varieties. This time, I guess because of the scorching weather, there were very few people, so I practically had the hot spring pools all to myself, which was really nice, haha. However, because it was so hot, I didn't want to stay outside for too long. After eating, I'd just head back to the room and enjoy the air conditioning. The tickets for the attractions and game tokens provided for the two nights were basically unused, and I couldn't soak in the hot springs for long before breaking out in a sweat. The room was a bit old-fashioned, so I didn't take any pictures. The hot springs have both indoor and outdoor sections. Soaking in the outdoor springs with a sea view was really enjoyable. The resort's amusement park is quite large, but unfortunately, we encountered a typhoon and couldn't enjoy any of the rides. When we left the amusement park, it was still raining, and the resort thoughtfully arranged shuttle buses to take guests back to the hotel. The resort's pet park isn't small, and it's kept very clean with no strong odors. If you're unsure what to eat, you can try the buffet on the second floor of the hot spring area for 50 per person, which offers a good variety of food. The hotel's location is a bit remote, so if you want to drive out for food, it'll be quite a distance. Before coming to Zhuhai, I considered a few options: Wanghai Tower, Grand Hyatt Gongbei, and Fairfield by Marriott. I ultimately chose the Grand Bay Hotel, primarily because my main goal in Zhuhai was to enjoy the food, and I wasn't particularly keen on sightseeing the Sun & Moon Bay. After all, coming from Hong Kong, everyone knows the color of Zhuhai's sea. As for the Hyatt, I was concerned about potential renovation smells and the higher price, which didn't seem necessary. My trip confirmed that I was very satisfied with the Grand Bay Hotel. Here’s why:
1. **Service**: If I had to pick one standout, service would definitely be number one. The hotel offers butler service, and our financial butler was incredibly thoughtful. They contacted us in advance of our stay and helped us get an upgrade based on room availability. They also offered to help queue for breakfast during peak hours and arranged transportation (which was included in my Ctrip booking).
2. **Dining**: I tried the Peking duck restaurant and the Shaanxi noodle shop on the second floor, as well as breakfast for two days. The Peking duck Chinese restaurant generally had good quality, though the duck was a bit fatty and became greasy towards the end. The other dishes were all delicious. At the Shaanxi noodle shop, I ordered the biangbiang noodles, which were also quite good. Breakfast offered a rich variety, including freshly cooked congee (with customizable ingredients). You could tell the ingredients were fresh from the seafood, especially the fresh shrimp. There was also a wide selection of Western pastries, and they clearly put thought into them, not just offering items that looked unappetizing. Additionally, there were Jianbing (savory crepes), dim sum, stir-fries, and more. The coffee even came with latte art. The restaurant environment was also quite comfortable, with some booth seating designed to ensure privacy and sound insulation. Several managers were on-site to ensure good service.
3. **Location**: I had read reviews saying the location was inconvenient and ”secluded.” I think finding a ”secluded” spot in the city isn't easy, and this really depends on what kind of hotel experience you're looking for. Most guests drive, but even without a car, getting a taxi is very convenient. Later, I discovered that bus routes 4 and 13 stop right outside the hotel, and you can reach Sun & Moon Bay or Gongbei Port for just 1 yuan, with available seats. The value for money is incredibly high. If you're not in a hurry, public transport is a great option. In contrast, when I visited Jingshan Park, I also saw Wanghai Tower, and I found its location a bit noisy. And Sun & Moon Bay is just okay; it might be worth a visit for those who haven't seen much beautiful sea. A quick climb and a photo at Jingshan Park are enough. Moreover, the hotel is right off Qingshan Road South, where you can see the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge and take a stroll. Being outside the commercial tourist zones gives you the tranquility of having a piece of the sea to yourself.
While this price point isn't cheap in Zhuhai, I feel the hotel's service made it well worth the money. I would definitely consider staying here again if I return.FromPLN 274

To grab a meal, I spontaneously added an extra night to my Zhuhai trip during the May Day holiday. I picked a place near Xiwan. Prices were quite high due to the holiday, but this one looked like decent value for money, so I figured it was fine for just one night.

We stayed there for four days for a long weekend getaway. The experience was very relaxing. The hotel has mountain bikes, so we went out everyday riding bikes to nearby parks. We also enjoyed the daily wellness classes and the state of art gym. I even tried out some of the medical services that focus on prevention. The hotel must’ve spent a lot of efforts sourcing these machines and services.
The location is far away from the city center. It was exactly what we liked for a remote relaxing get away.

The hotel is conveniently located in the bustling Xiangzhou district, right next to Nanping Ancient Town.
