The room was spacious with a lovely river view and good hygiene. Breakfast was just okay. There's a bus stop right outside and a subway station about 300 meters away, making transportation very convenient. They also offer Chinese-speaking service. However, the omelet cook in the restaurant was unfriendly towards Chinese guests, showing differential treatment. Overall, my experience was still pretty good. I also got a late checkout until 3 PM.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Orchard Road, Singapore's busiest district, surrounded by shops and eateries. It's incredibly convenient for shopping and dining, and not far from various attractions by subway, which is a major plus. The room's amenities and service are standard, but definitely worth the price in Singapore!

The Carlton Hotel Singapore is a fantastic value-for-money option in the city center, boasting an unbeatable location. It's just a 3-minute walk to City Hall MRT station, directly opposite Raffles City Shopping Centre. You can easily walk to Chijmes and St. Andrew's Cathedral, and Merlion Park is only a 10-minute stroll away. Getting to Gardens by the Bay and Orchard Road is also incredibly convenient. The surrounding area is packed with restaurants and convenience stores, making late-night snack runs a breeze. This hotel meets five-star standards, with an overall rating of 8.7. Its location scores 9.5, cleanliness 9.1, and service 9.0. The rooms are spacious and clean, featuring panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, USB fast-charging ports, and water purifiers. The bathrooms have separate wet and dry areas, ensuring maximum comfort. Facilities are comprehensive, including an outdoor pool and a gym, plus a rooftop bar on the 29th floor offering stunning city night views. Dining options are plentiful with Plate restaurant and Tuxedo Café catering to various tastes. The service is thoughtful and attentive. The concierge and front desk staff are warm and professional, quick to resolve issues like delayed luggage, and even provide pleasant surprises like honeymoon setups and welcome cakes. The hotel offers exceptional value for money, with prices that are friendly compared to other hotels of similar caliber in Singapore, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers. A minor drawback is the small size of the swimming pool, and check-in times are quite strict, but overall, these small imperfections don't detract from an otherwise excellent experience.

1. The location is incredibly convenient, with Funan Mall right downstairs. It's super easy to get to Merlion Park, Clarke Quay, and Marina Bay Sands, all within walking distance. 2. The room is on the smaller side, definitely not the 28 square meters advertised on the platform, but it's well-equipped and very clean. 3. The breakfast selection is limited, and the taste is just average. 4. There's a deposit of SGD 100 per night upon check-in. 5. I stayed on the 15th floor of the South Tower and didn't experience the noise issues that some reviews mentioned.

Have stayed here 3 times on each visit to SG over the past year. The location is great. Only some rooms have bidet, and where one of our rooms has no bidet, there is a mini fridge. Hope that very room will get a bidet and mini fridge eventually. The TV is useless as the Internet is too slow to cast anything on it. Maybe provide a HDMI cable so we could connect our devices to it. Wish there are stretch bands and roller foam provided in the gym. I’ve seen some guests confused over the way to use the washer and dryer, so it might be good to print a poster with instructions to use them.

Hotel Boss has a fantastic location. There's a Founder Bak Kut Teh restaurant right downstairs! The closest MRT station is Lavender, and it's only about three to four stops to places like Merlion Park and Marina Bay. There are also many bus stops nearby, providing direct access to all major attractions in Singapore. Plus, there's a Sheng Siong supermarket about 500-600 meters away, which is great for buying souvenirs at a good price! The rooms are a bit small, but generally very clean and tidy. The breakfast offers a good variety, and there's also a large swimming pool! If you're looking for good value for money, this place is definitely a solid choice.

Stayed 3D2N with my daughter to meet my youngest daughter from SMU. The hotel nearby SMU Campus . The hotel room is very big room compare i survey the other hotel, , newly renovated and clean. The staff are very friendly, especially the front counter staff. The hotel provides a water filter machine on every floor (reminder: bring your own tumbler 👍). The location is very convenient for MRT — just a few steps away from Bras Basah MRT 🚇, and Bus Stop are available directly to Suntec City Mall and Marina Bay. Within a 5-minute walk, you can reach Bugis Street, Bugis Junction, and Bugis+ for shopping and food. In front of the the Bugis Malll, there’s a Chinese hawker stall — the chicken rice is nice, cheap, and delicious 😋. Overall, it’s a great place to stay. We could not use the machine for self check-in because their system could not find our booking on trip.com, so a staff member had to manually check in for us. Excellent facilities - they provided lots of trolleys for luggages near the front door/reception area, which I think were quite thoughtful. Our kids used the playground a lot. Would love to use the swimming pool but our room (Studio Queen and Single) was quite small (especially the bathoom) to hang our swim clothes to dry. Coat hangers were provided in the room which could be used to hang swimclothes on to airdry, but with the humidity in Singapore, it would take about 2 days to completely dry. In the middle of our stay, we found a dead cockroach on the bed (first photo) while clearing stuff to prep the room for daily room service/cleaning. We left it there for the cleaner to handle it, but when we came back at night, the dead cockroach was still in the room (and moved to a different spot this time - second photo), so we cleaned it ourselves. Not that we are nitpicking, but since the room was small, we had to organise our things around every nook and cranny of the room, and I found the wall under the table near the floor quite dirty.

We had a very awesome stay in Citadines Connect City Centre last week. One of the front desk staff named Zachary was warm enough to welcome and accommodate us despite our early arrival to the hotel. He was very kind and patient. We booked the Loft 1 with sofa bed, it was very clean despite the early check-in. The room has good soundproofing, ambiance is very well lighted. Housekeeping did an excellent job cleaning the room daily. Complete hotel amenities. Location is very accessible to public transportation. Price is reasonable being in Sentosa beach front. Though one of the older resorts, it is still enjoyable. Photos show views from the top looking down at the pool below and the sea in front. For this price, don't expect too much from the cleanliness. Lower your expectations, and you might find it just about okay. The pros: It's close to the Rainbow Police Station, Fort Canning Park, and the Little India temple. Public transport and MRT stations are a guaranteed 10-minute walk away, and there's a 7-Eleven within 5 minutes. Even though it was hot and we were tired in the afternoon, the kids still had energy, so we let them go to the pool. It's small, which is good, and not too deep, so I just relaxed on a lounge chair while they had a blast all afternoon. Clarke Quay is right next door. Cleanliness is just average, and the rooms are small. Next time, if I increase my budget slightly, I'd stay at the Ascott Roberson House nearby.

The hotel's location is truly excellent. It's just a ten-minute walk to the Skyline Luge, Palawan Beach, and the MRT station, making it super convenient to stroll along the beach in the evening before heading back to the hotel. When arriving by taxi, the staff helps with luggage, and luggage storage after check-out is also handled in Chinese. The room offers great views outside, with sights of the beach and cargo ships on the sea. At night, you can even see fireworks and movies being shown by the pool from your room. The room itself is compact but very clean. We stayed for two nights, and the hot water for showers was very comfortable. The room was also very quiet. Breakfast starts to get a bit busy around 8:30 AM, and communication in Chinese is seamless. Upon check-in, the hotel provides an island map and a schedule of hotel activities. Perhaps because it was Chinese New Year, they also gave us fruit and red envelopes. Next to the breakfast restaurant, there's a 7-Eleven for buying water and snacks. The hotel also has vending machines that accept WeChat Pay and Alipay for drinks. There's even a cold water dispenser near the elevators; while rooms don't provide bottled water, there's direct drinking water available. Most shops on the island accept WeChat Pay, Alipay, Visa, and some even UnionPay. Peacocks, parrots, and toucans are commonly seen around the hotel. All in all, I would definitely come back again.

The location is pretty good, with convenient subway access right next to Chinatown. However, most shops in Chinatown were closed during the Chinese New Year. On the first day, it rained, so we took a taxi instead of the subway, and it was incredibly expensive. A 3.2km ride cost 34 Singapore dollars (likely due to holiday surge pricing). So, friends, remember to take the subway when you're in Singapore, don't hail a taxi. The facilities are just okay, but the breakfast was filling.

Decent place to stay. Clean and a very nice gym and good service by the people. Was given a room on 3rd floor corner with no nice views so had to go to the 4th floor pool area for that view. So do take note that yhere is a chance for a room with a view of the corner carpark entrance/road. There is a small “mall” behind called the plaza but it’s kind of dead with one or two restaurants. I chose this hotel for its design, and indeed, I really liked the design of the 4th floor upon check-in. The greenery was beautiful, and the constant birdsong was lovely. The location is also good; taxis to Marina Bay Sands were around 10 SGD. However, there were some things I wasn't happy about. First, there were mosquitoes in the room. My arms were bitten so badly in the middle of the night that they were swollen for two days. Also, the soundproofing wasn't great. I could hear the elevator noise until late at night, even though my room wasn't right next to it. I paid extra for breakfast, but it was very mediocre. Both the taste and variety were just average and didn't justify the room rate. Lastly, none of the hotel staff spoke Chinese, at least not anyone I encountered during my two-day stay.

I had a staycation at the Swissotel on a weekday night. Since it was quite late, check-in was smooth and fast. I was given a city view premier (Standard) room on the 24th floor. The room was of an odd shape with a long corridor which reduced noise levels. Since the hotel is almost 40 years old now, the rooms are quite spacious, and I enjoyed sitting and relaxing on the large couch and had a great sleep on the wide king bed. However, I did notice some very short strands of hair on the pillow even before I laid down, which makes me wonder if the pillowcase had been washed in between guests. During the daytime, the warm sunlight lit up the surrounding colonial buildings well (CHIJMES, Raffles Hotel etc) and it made for great pictures that I managed to shoot from the balcony of the room. Having stayed at the sister property-- Fairmont Hotel before, I was a little disappointed that the toiletries were of a seemingly ordinary brand, as opposed to LeLabo used at Fairmont which is usually similarly priced but more luxurious. I feel that the minibar area can be upgraded, since currently it looks dark and rather out of place as compared to the rest of the well decorated room. Nespresso and TWG Tea were available, while oddly enough the minibar was empty. At the Fairmont for comparison, there is an overengineered but fully stocked minibar with sensors that will detect the drink leaving the fridge and exorbitant charges will be applied. The room also felt slightly older - Some nicks on the wall, frames etc, as I learned that Swissotel was last renovated in 2019 while Fairmont was renovated slightly later. The USB-A ports also gave away the room's age. There seemed to be rather few charging plugs available for such a large room. Location of the hotel is superb, with convenient transport downstairs via the MRT and it is easy to get a Grabcar. It is also connected to the shopper's paradise, Raffles City Shopping Mall. Singapore faces an acute manpower shortage in the hotel and hospitality industry, but I never once felt service was an issue here. The reception and concierge were amply staffed, staff were friendly and could be seen proactively helping guests with their luggage. I also did not have to wait to check in/out. There is a large gym on the property, raved about by other reviews, but I did not visit it since it is on the Fairmont side of the hotel [quite a walk away] and I got lost trying to find it. Lastly, I could not resist visiting the Skai Restaurant which Swissotel is most known for since it is among the tallest restaurants in Singapore -- taller than Marina Bay Sands. It is located on the 70th floor of the hotel and I had a 3-course lunch there. Service was great as to be expected, but prices are steep - if you don't have the 30% Accor Plus discount. While the food was alright, the view was simply superb since it is unblocked on all sides. I would recommend visiting just for the view, but I heard that there could be a minimum order of 1 main course needed to enter. Overall, nitpicking aside, the Swissotel is one of the better 5 star hotels in Singapore and a great choice for business travellers. Asides from the not so clean pillow I could not find any other major faults. However, since Fairmont and Swissotel are both usually similarly priced at $400+, and having stayed at both before, I would recommend the Fairmont over the Swissotel since it offers a slightly more luxurious experience for not that much more.

Stayed at The Waterfront for three days straight. The breakfast selection changed slightly each day, which was nice. I highly recommend the waffles; they're made fresh and are super crispy and fragrant. I had one every morning! The masala tea was a bit strong on the spices, so it might not be for everyone, but overall, the breakfast spread was truly abundant and left me feeling stuffed. The pool is on the smaller side and a bit shallow, so don't expect too much from it. Getting around is super convenient. It's very close to the subway with an overhead walkway, making it easy to reach anywhere.

Chinatown Singapore|0.83km from city center
Great location! The subway is right downstairs, making it super convenient to get to all the nearby attractions. There are also tons of food options, perfect for a Chinese palate 😋. The lobby is very comfortable too. My only minor gripes are that the bed didn't feel like a true king-size, and the room was a bit dark – though, on second thought, having less natural light in a tropical climate actually helps keep it cooler. They pay attention to the details, like the thick and comfy slippers, but the bathrobes are a bit old and small; they could definitely use an upgrade.

I would recommend it to both business and leisure travelers and would consider staying here again in the future.

I had such a wonderful stay here! The room was spacious and very clean, and the bathroom was spotless with everything I needed — even a bidet spray, which was a nice touch. My favorite part was definitely the warm spray shower. It felt so soothing and relaxing, almost like enjoying a mini onsen after a long day. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, especially the short-haired lady at the front desk — she was so polite, friendly, and made me feel truly cared for. The location is also very convenient — just a 3-minute walk to local restaurants (including a delicious Thai eatery and a famous porridge shop called Jok Kob), a bus stop, and a convenience store. Everything about this place made my stay comfortable and peaceful. I’d love to come back again someday. 💛

Singapore River Singapore|1.12km from city center
This is a budget hotel with small rooms and narrow beds, but the cleanliness is acceptable. Given the generally high accommodation costs in Singapore, it offers good value for money. The hotel staff are generally very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, close to Clarke Quay MRT station, making it convenient to reach Clarke Quay, Chinatown, and the Police Headquarters landmark. Bak Kut Teh and Ya Kun Kaya Toast are also nearby. The Tong Le Seafood restaurant downstairs serves delicious food. Interestingly, all the housekeeping staff are male.

Singapore Changi Airport Region Singapore|17.83km from city center
The room was quite small, but the front desk staff were very friendly. We arrived in Singapore early in the afternoon and they kindly stored our luggage for us. The next morning, we had a 7 AM flight, so we went for an early check-in the night before and checked all our bags. This finally made the room feel spacious! Check-in was at 6 PM and check-out was at 9 AM. Overall, it was good value for money, especially considering it's Singapore!

The hotel is right next to the Orchard Road shopping district, which makes shopping super convenient. The subway is also nearby, and you can just tap your credit card to ride. The breakfast selection is pretty good too, and check-out was a breeze. Thumbs up!
