We got tickets and went straight to Panda Base. Everything was absolutely perfect. It was very convenient to have them to avoid the line at the ticket office. We saw the red pandas roaming outside, while we saw the pandas in the moon nursery. Gorgeous mother and children playing! It was very busy after 10:00 a.m. The park was huge. We only went in the morning until noon.

Russians can buy tickets through the English version of trip.com. There are no newborn pandas in the summer. As I was told, they are born in September and are shown to the public at three months old in December. The idea of arriving in the morning, especially in the summer, is true—the lines and the pandas sleeping.

This is a panda base you absolutely cannot miss in Chengdu! You definitely need to run there as soon as it opens!! It’s such a shame we couldn't see Huahua ㅜㅜ We couldn't see her when we went. (It was closed.)

It's a beautiful place full of adorable pandas. I don't recommend coming in the summer because the heat is unbearable and the pandas are only found in their enclosures.

Panda Breeding & Conservation at Chengdu Base

Panda Breeding & Conservation at Chengdu Base

The base is a global leader in giant panda breeding, with a 90% success rate in captive breeding. Key conservation efforts include:

  • Cub Rearing: Newborn pandas are cared for in nurseries (mothers often raise one cub, while the other is hand-reared to ensure survival). Cubs stay in nurseries until they’re 1–2 years old, when they move to adult villas.
  • Wildness Training: Selected pandas undergo training in the base’s “Panda Valley” (a separate facility) to prepare for potential reintroduction to the wild.
  • Research Collaboration: The base partners with international organizations (e.g., WWF) to study panda genetics, diet, and habitat protection—helping to increase the wild panda population from 1,114 (1988) to over 1,800 today.

Booked this hotel for a company training, and it's super convenient – right by Chunxi Road, and the subway exit is practically at the hotel entrance. The front desk manager was amazing, I wish I knew her name! I'd booked a 399 RMB room, but they upgraded me to a deluxe executive king room, probably because they were short on standard rooms. The room itself was fantastic after I checked in! And the breakfast selection was incredible! Seriously, so many choices it was dizzying and overwhelming in the best way possible. Full marks! Highly recommend! Plus, you get a beautiful night view! It was stunning!

🌟 Overall Experience We had a very good stay at Crowne Plaza City Center. The location is fantastic, close to many restaurants and attractions, making it easy to explore the city. 👥 Personnel The staff were consistently helpful and welcoming, which made our visit smooth and enjoyable. 🍽️ Breakfast Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options to suit different tastes. 🏨 Hotel condition The hotel is a bit old, and while the rooms could benefit from renovation, they remain comfortable and suitable for both families and couples. The Pool is indoor but we'll maintained , the kids had fun. The gym does the job max Dumbell 25kg. The Spa was unavailable during our stay. ✨ Final Impression Despite some areas needing updates, the combination of great location, helpful staff, and excellent breakfast made our stay very pleasant. We would recommend it to travelers looking for convenience and comfort in Chengdu.

I came to Chengdu with my classmate this time. Since we're not yet adults, I was a bit worried about checking in, but it turns out I was completely overthinking it. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and patient. Instead of being dismissive because of our age, they were very considerate of our feelings throughout, and it felt really good to be treated with such respect. The city view from the room was absolutely stunning, with a super wide vista. Looking out the window at night, the city's splendor was laid out before us. Every picture we took was like a professional shot, and we spent ages taking photos by the window. Of course, as a well-established five-star hotel that's been open for some years, some of the facilities do feel a little dated compared to those trendy new hotels that just opened. However, this didn't affect the overall stay at all. The bedding was very comfortable, and the hygiene was excellent. The minor flaws don't detract from the overall quality. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I truly felt the expected standards and warmth of the Ritz-Carlton. Thank you to all the Ritz-Carlton staff! (。・ω・。)つ🌷

Traveling to Chengdu, I chose the St. Regis, a well-established luxury hotel. The hotel facilities are excellent; both the indoor and outdoor pools were a big hit with the kids. The room service is outstanding; during our extended stay, the housekeeping staff were very attentive, keeping our room spotless and tidy every day. The breakfast buffet offers a great variety, and the in-room dining service is also top-notch. I'll definitely choose the St. Regis again on my next visit to Chengdu.

The hotel is located near the IFS building and can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes. There are plenty of food options around the hotel, including street food, local restaurants, and shopping malls with food courts. The hotel staff were friendly and service-minded. Although communication was mainly through a translation app, they were helpful and willing to assist. The room was clean and free of any cigarette smell. However, the bathroom had a musty odor, and there was a bag or covering placed over a drain pipe, although I was not sure of its purpose. This could be improved to enhance the overall guest experience.

Facilities: The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom was a bit small, but it had a good wet/dry separation for the shower. The solid wood door and enclosed walls meant there was no transparent glass, ensuring privacy for anyone inside from the rest of the room. Cleanliness: Excellent. All the essentials like toothbrushes, combs, and a hairdryer were provided. Ambiance: Very good. The lobby was bright and clean, with a luxurious Chinese-style decor. The hotel's location is very convenient, close to Chunxi Road, making it easy to get around. There are plenty of dining options within a hundred or two meters. The hotel also has its own restaurant. Service: Excellent. They offered a complimentary room upgrade during check-in, and upon departure, they even gave me a special成都 (Chengdu) souvenir — a panda canvas bag, which was perfect for holding all the local specialties I bought during my stay. Very thoughtful. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Chengdu.

Returned to Chengdu from Kangding on May 30th and once again chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Express Chengdu Gulou (Chunxi Road branch). The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to the subway, making it super convenient to get to Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li. The rooms are modern, elegant, clean, and tidy, with great soundproofing. The front desk service is warm and thoughtful; from the moment we stepped into the hotel, front desk staff members Xiao Peng and Xiao Shi greeted us enthusiastically and brought out our stored luggage. Knowing we don't smoke, they even upgraded us to a non-smoking room, which was very considerate. The hotel breakfast offers a rich variety of Chinese and Western options, and the restaurant staff are friendly and polite, with food items replenished very quickly. Highly recommend! This was my first stay at a Kempinski hotel. Upon entering the lobby, it felt a bit dim and cramped. The room had an industrial grey theme, likely due to a recent renovation, and the quality of the refurbishment was excellent. After one night, I grew to love the hotel's extra-large, slightly firm bed. The breakfast restaurant exuded an old-school luxury vibe, and the food quality was highly commendable. I also tried the pool in the morning and was even more impressed – perfect for both kids and adults (three small, one large pool). The water quality, temperature, and changing rooms were all perfect. The pool attendant and the doorman were exceptionally professional. Many thanks to them!

Facilities: The facilities are a bit dated, but the location is unbeatable. Ambiance: The hotel lobby was beautifully decorated with vibrant flowers, creating a lovely spring-like atmosphere. It really shows how much effort the hotel puts in. Cleanliness: Acceptable. Service: I stayed here once before on a Monday, and the breakfast options were quite limited. However, this time, perhaps because it was a Saturday, the breakfast was incredibly rich and varied! The noodle station offered various freshly cooked noodles like beef noodles, 'wan za mian' (a local specialty), 'dan dan mian', and 'chao shou' (wontons), plus 'qiao jiao niu rou' (a type of braised beef). There was even beautifully steamed egg custard among the egg dishes, and the bread was fresh, with waffles made to order. However, I wasn't allowed to pack a couple of small pastries for my child to eat on the road, which was a bit inconvenient since kids tend to get hungry when they're out and about. I'd definitely stay here again, definitely! Even at midnight, the street downstairs was bustling with activity, full of life and character!

Stayed for two nights. The hotel's location is not far from the front mountain of Mount Qingcheng, and about a 20-minute drive from the Qingcheng Mountain Golf Course, making it quite convenient. This area is essentially a small town with many guesthouses, but this hotel feels like the best one around. Plus, the rooms even have private hot springs! After hiking all day, coming back for a soak in the evening is so relaxing 😪. There's a night market street right in front of the hotel, perfect for an evening stroll and buying some fruit. Also, the hotel's food is so much better than the restaurants outside. On our first day, we went to a seemingly popular restaurant outside and the food was awful. For the rest of our meals, we ate at the hotel. It was clean, hygienic, and most importantly, the taste was fantastic. The chef clearly puts a lot of effort into the cooking, highly recommend! 👍

A perfect private hot spring guesthouse! Enjoy bliss in the mountains; the details are simply divine. This mountain hot spring guesthouse deserves five stars! From the moment I stepped into the courtyard, my positive impression soared—the idyllic mountain setting was incredibly soothing, the air filled with the scent of nature, completely away from the crowds. The private hot spring water was reassuringly clean, and the intelligent temperature control was a thoughtful touch. Soaking in it instantly melted away all my fatigue. In the evening, paired with a home theater, the comfort was simply unparalleled. The guesthouse's details were even more stunning: the rustic yet exquisite decor created a wonderful atmosphere, the teaware was so delicate I almost didn't want to leave it behind, and afternoon tea with the mountain view was incredibly pleasant; the smart appliances in the bathroom were convenient and high-end, and even the sweet fermented rice balls with brown sugar were incredibly soft and delicious—you could feel the owner's care. The owner's hospitality and the two adorable dogs were the biggest pluses! Playing with the dogs and taking them for walks felt like being at a friend's house. It must have been fate; among the many hotel options at Mount Qingcheng, I ended up choosing Yuanyuanxiang. My flight was delayed, and I didn't check in until almost 9 PM. The butler had already prepared a hot pot dinner for us (which needs to be reserved in advance), and it was surprisingly delicious. The room was split into two levels: the first floor had the bed, a small living area, and a balcony, while the lower level featured a hot spring bath and a sofa area. Every single detail was incredibly thoughtful. It was quite cold on the mountain, but the room had underfloor heating, and all the hardware was from major brands. The amenities and the generous daily supply of snacks were all from Sam's Club. As someone with high standards for hotels, I found everything to be impeccable. The butlers' service and attitude were exceptionally attentive and warm; they could meet almost all our needs. They offered valet parking, delivered breakfast to the room, replenished supplies daily, and even prepared the private hot spring tub by filling it with water in advance. Before we left, they even gave us two complimentary coffees and offered to mail us some local cured sausage. Everything was simply so comfortable and delightful. By the way, the natural oxygen bar goes without saying, and the cafe is incredibly photogenic – I regret not discovering it until just before I left. I will definitely be back!

I frequently stay at the Holiday Inn Express Chengdu East as it's incredibly convenient. It's just a 10-meter walk from Exit C of Dongmen Bridge Metro Station, and there's a 7-Eleven and FamilyMart nearby, so grabbing snacks and drinks is never an issue. The room facilities are standard, consistent with Holiday Inn Express properties – clean and comfortable. While not brand new, they're perfectly fine. I particularly want to praise the breakfast! The variety is excellent, with local specialties like 'Bo Bo Chicken,' 'Chao Shou,' various vegetables, and other Chengdu snacks. It's definitely not a perfunctory hotel breakfast; it's quite enjoyable. At around 500-600 RMB per night, in this city center location, it offers great value for money. If you're visiting Chengdu for leisure or business and prioritize convenient transportation and a good breakfast, this place is definitely worth considering.

This has always been my favorite hotel, and its location is excellent. It's right in the heart of Chengdu, with super convenient transportation and plenty of dining options nearby. This hotel was one of Chengdu's first five-star international hotels. The environment is superb, and this time I was lucky enough to get an upgrade to a room in the VIP building. The room was much larger than my previous stays. My only minor regret is that breakfast wasn't served in the old restaurant in the East Lobby this time; that Russian-style building was incredibly beautiful.

The hotel's location is excellent, just one subway stop from Chunxi Road, and only a few hundred meters walk to the subway station, making it super convenient for getting around. The elevators are separated into low-zone and high-zone, with the check-in lobby located on the 33rd floor, which acts as a transfer floor between the low and high zones – a very sensible and secure design. The views from the high floors are fantastic, offering a great panorama of the surrounding cityscape. They even gave us a cute panda souvenir, and the housekeeper had already turned on the AC in our room before we arrived, so it was nice and cool when we checked in. The service was incredibly thoughtful.

This hotel boasts an antique, vintage-style building, typical of a Ming and Qing dynasty courtyard. The facilities are excellent and the service is attentive. I especially loved Sister Fufu; she was able to accommodate almost all of my small requests (the honey pomelos were so sweet and delicious!). The cleaning staff keeps everything spotless, and items that ran out were replenished very promptly. There are also many great food options nearby. The attached small theater offers tea, snacks, and treats, and the performances are super entertaining, especially the tea ceremony and face-changing (the actress who played the White Bone Demon was so charming *^_^*). This is my absolute favorite courtyard, and I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit!

Tianfu Square/Chengdu Museum Chengdu|1.18km from city center
The location is quite good, right by the river. There are plenty of great food options in the alley behind it, making it perfect for a city walk. The materials and furnishings are undeniably top-notch, extremely luxurious, all marble with an 'old money' vibe. You can tell they invested heavily in the hardware at the time. However, in stark contrast to the luxurious hardware, the service was truly abysmal, so much so that I canceled my second night and moved to another hotel. Let me briefly explain: 1. The butler called ahead to confirm my arrival time and room preferences, which was very clear. Yet, upon check-in, there was no record in the system, and the front desk seemed clueless. There was clearly no handover or communication in between. 2. When checking in, I was curious about the hotel's construction, materials, and opening date, but the staff knew absolutely nothing. Seriously, how are they trained? 3. Even more incredible, the sweet potatoes 🍠 and corn 🌽 at breakfast were stone cold! Yes, I took them from the steaming cabinet, and they were cold (this was the direct reason I decided to move). I kindly told a staff member they were cold, and she came over, touched my corn with her hand, and then just walked away… walked away… walked away! Hahaha, I actually laughed! I won't even mention other things. I will definitely not choose this place again! Compared to the Shangri-La and Grand Hyatt I stayed at previously, the difference is just too vast. Although the current economic environment is challenging and hotels face cost pressures and high NOP targets, I hope management sees this and takes it seriously! Wishing them well!

Traveling to Chengdu with my bestie this time! Staying at the W Hotel Chengdu was a perfect experience. The front desk thoughtfully arranged a quiet room with a great view. The location is superb, making it easy to get around. All the staff were warm and attentive, responding promptly and meticulously. The room was clean with a great vibe, and all the amenities were excellent, making for an incredibly comfortable stay. This is my top choice when visiting Chengdu!

Staying here was the best decision of our trip! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the attention to detail. A special thank you to Ms. Shi at the front desk, who patiently upgraded our room and even helped us plan our itinerary. When we asked about a late checkout, they readily agreed. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit, and I've already recommended it to my friends!

I booked the Hilton for my college entrance exam. Although it's an older hotel, the facilities and equipment are very well-maintained. The soundproofing in the rooms is good, and the happy hour offerings at the executive lounge are among the better ones I've seen for a Hilton property; the desserts are especially delicious. The in-room dining is the most affordable I've encountered in China, and the quality is exceptionally high. It was incredibly good value for money. We had all our meals and accommodation at the hotel for the three days of the exam, and they even thoughtfully sent us a dessert with well wishes. Those are the positives. Here are some suggestions for improvement: 1. The drink fridge in the executive lounge should be raised. The gap between the handle and the countertop is too small and pinches your hand. 2. The setup of the beverage area at breakfast is impractical. It should be moved further into the restaurant, rather than being placed outside the restaurant screen. Overall, this hotel is highly competitive at its price point and definitely worth experiencing.

The hotel is near Chunxi Road, just a short walk away, which is quite convenient. It's also about a ten-minute walk to the subway station. There was some renovation happening at the hotel entrance, but I didn't really hear any noise. I got a room upgrade when I checked in. There's a laundry room with dryers next to the elevator, which is very handy. Daily housekeeping was also prompt. P.S.: I initially booked for one night, but extended for two more because I liked it so much. The room upgrade was also extended, which was great.

The front desk staff were absolutely amazing, super attentive and patient. They even gave us a souvenir when we checked out. The hotel's location is fantastic, very central and convenient for visiting nearby attractions. Tianfu Square is just a 5-minute walk away. The room itself was good; though the facilities aren't the newest, it was clean, and most importantly, the price was very reasonable.

Fraser Place Chengdu is definitely worth revisiting! The room size far exceeds that of a typical hotel, feeling spacious and airy with a strong homey vibe. The amenities are impressive: the gym is well-equipped for a great workout, the heated pool has clean water for a comfortable swim, and the sauna is perfect for unwinding after a dip. The room itself is clean, tidy, and well-designed, making the space feel open and not cramped. The service is thoughtful, and the environment is quiet and livable, making it suitable for both business travelers on long stays and leisure guests. With all the leisure facilities you could ask for, the experience is top-notch. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Chengdu.

This Home Inn I booked for my trip to Chengdu was easily the best I've ever stayed at; the experience was truly fantastic. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a lovely fragrance, which was incredibly pleasant. The front desk staff were also very warm and attentive during check-in, always greeting guests with a smile. Their service was impeccable – always available but never intrusive. The hotel's overall decor has a distinctly British feel, and both the staff's attire and the interior design were excellent. The environment is quiet despite being in a bustling area; the whole place felt very peaceful. The hotel breakfast was quite good, offering local Chengdu specialties like 'xiaomian' (noodles), 'chaoshou' (wontons), and 'douhua' (tofu pudding). The cleaning staff were also very friendly; the 'auntie' cleaning our room even brought us extra bottles of water when tidying our room during our extended stay. The hotel is conveniently located in the city center near Xinnanmen Metro Station, just a 150m walk away. Having the metro so close made getting around and visiting attractions incredibly easy. Chunxi Road is just one metro stop away, and popular spots like Kuanzhai Alley and Wenshu Monastery are also easily accessible. There are plenty of dining options nearby, including 'chuan'er' (skewer) and hot pot restaurants. Just a short walk down University Road, you'll find even more local snacks. This place is truly excellent, the price is reasonable, and it exceeded all my expectations. It's a fantastic base for exploring Chengdu – highly recommended!

The surrounding environment is very quiet and not noisy at all. Xiaoyuan at the front desk service is warm and efficient, check-in and check-out are very fast, and there are questions and inquiries patiently answering, which makes people feel very comfortable. The room is clean and tidy, the wireless 🛜 is very high-speed; the TV is also very clear; then the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the sleep is particularly practical. The facilities are complete, the quality of toiletries is good, the bathroom is separated from wet and dry, and the details are in place. The overall decoration is simple and atmospheric, with good lighting and ventilation, and the living is warm and comfortable.
